The counrty where Kana lives runs on a feudal system that went bad several hundred years ago. The Assassin's Guild was created roughly fifty years after that and when they had their homes burned the founders of the guild moved it to the Caverns. The Caverns is just a system of caves and cliffs that've been modified to create a living space, better than most homes. It is very well lit where it needs to be, has places for fires in the winter and is cool during the summer. The Caverns are located at the edge of the capital city. The capital city is called Metsa and is known as a forest city which means the city was built around the trees and is hidden amongst them. The setting is medieval and magic does exist. The Caverns is a place where children are brought to be raised and trained as assassins. The levels of training are as such, Teachers and the highly skilled are Master Assassins, graduated students are called Graduated, nearly graduated are Juniors, below them are Training or Apprentice. Now for the actual plot. The Caverns is bing threatened by a fellow guild created by the corrupt government to destroy them. This will be about their fight against the enemy guild and their mission to eliminate the nobles that have so corrupted the government and reinstate a more stable one. ----------------- Profile/Skeleton Username: Name:* Race: ** Gender: Age: *** Guild:**** Bio: ***** Other: Appearance: *Last name appreciated **limited to humans, vampires, were-animals, Seers and Spyrs*(PM me if you want to know about the last two races) ***Minimum age is 15 ****Caverns is good, Metsa is who they're fighting against. *****history, family, whether they live at the caverns, how they came to live there ----------------------- Profiles Username: .:TheRebornAngel:. Name: Kana Leddington Race: Seer Gender: female Age: 21 Guild: Caverns Bio: Until she was seven she had no idea her parents might be important people and they were hiding away in the forests to avoid people seeing her. Her father was a Duke and her mother, being married to him, became a Duchess. She's lived at the Caverns ever since she was brought there when her parents were killed. She was born as a Seer, and since the time she was four she was labeled the best of all the Seers. Other: Seers can, if they so wished, find almost anything about a person, instantly so long as they know the person's name, age and their parent's names (if they're weak), this ability prevents many people from trusting them. All Seers have reflective eyes, making it hard for them to hide their ability. Not all Seers have the same color eyes; the color and amount of reflectivity determined how good one was at finding that information. White Opal eyes happen to be the rarest of all the colors and means their owners are the strongest of all the Seers. Appearance:Opal eyes that reflect the light off to bounce it back onto the walls and floor in little rainbows if the light's bright enough. The color also shifts in the light like a true Opal. Her hair is iridescent black and she is small, standing at a height of 5ft, is fit but still endowed. Her clothes are a type of tight, shiny black leather, made to be absolutely silent and stay close to the body preventing it from catching on things. Kana rarely wears shoes. Username: .:TheRebornAngel:. Name: Gheta Weaver Race:Human Gender: Female Guild: Caverns Age:44 Bio:She has lived at the caverns for more than 30 years now and only came here of her hown will. She'd been an orphan in the streets and had shown remarkable agility and resourcefulness when she had been found. The offer of food and a roof over her head was all it too to bring Gheta to the caverns and agree to be trained. Other: She is an instructor at the Caverns and fellow masters may call her Gheta but all studens and gratuates must call her Master Weaver. Appearance:She has peircing dark green eyes, long red hair always tied in a braid which is then twirled into a bun at the back of her head. The woman stands at about 5'5 and has a slim athletic body. Her face is lined with age but she is still beautiful and the lines aren't deep only hints of age. Quote:

---------- The trees bent in the force of the wind as she ran from the storm that chased her with its pelting rain and freezing wind that cut her to the bone. It was noon but looked to be midnight with the thickness of the clouds and it felt like mid-winter though it was barely August. She'd been on a walk, looking for flowers to bring her ailing mother when the dark ominous clouds had opened up upon her with a blinding flash of light and booming thunder that scared her witless. The little girl ran headlong through the forest not knowing where she ran to but hoping to find some place that was properly safe from the monsters that slunk from their lairs during the night hours. She dodged to the side narrowly avoiding the teeth of an unknown predator and pushed herself harder as she now had to run from the storm and the unknown predator. A blue flash as she glanced over her shoulder told her she was being pursued by a pack of hungry starving wolves, roughly ten pairs of eyes was what she counted in the brief flare of blue. She dodged through the trunks jumping over fallen trees and dead stumps, ducking under low branches, barely noticing when she burst through a blackberry thicket coming away with scratches and cuts that would sting now and scar her face, arms, neck and chest later. Her clothes were torn at by the many fingers of trees that reached out to grab her as she raced, terrified, through the trees finally being scooped up by a large man with an axe and a gun- Opal eyes that reflected and magnified the small amount of moonlight streaming into her room onto the wall of her small room flew open to stare at a crystal protruding from the bare rock as their owner gasped for air. The young Seer woman lay on her cot for a few minutes as she calmed herself, remembering the end of that day so long ago. Her father had quickly shot each wolf square in the chest with nearly impossible precision. killing them instantly. The last wolf flopped to the ground dead and she'd buried herself deep into the warmth of his body. Her father had been checking her for serious injures then, as she felt his body hit by an unrecognizable force. He fell. Shocked into dropping her. He landed on his face as she screamed in fright, rolling him to his back to only see empty eyes staring at her from the face of a newly made corpse. She'd screamed again in terror and run into the house only to find her mother already dead and the dark clad stranger reaching down for her, slipping a burlap bag over her head. She'd fought with all the strength a seven year old girl could muster but to no effect. For a full year after she was taken to the caverns she mourned her parent's passing but over time Kana had learned to trust her captors, being taken in as one of their own and taught the trade of assassination. She was taught by one of the best assassins in the land and was even starting to surpass her. The small woman was being taught the hard way to defend herself since through some odd twist of fate she had been born with the inability to become sick from poisons and infection and she never noticed the pain caused by either one. As a result she was the live test dummy in most of Weaver's classes. With a soft sigh Kana swung her legs over the edge of the bed and padded barefoot down the hall to the kitchen, letting the light from her eyes lead the way, to find out what kind of new additions had been brought in tonight. Every night at least one person not needing assassination was brought back to be raised or sheltered until they could get back into society and live independent lives or be trained as assassins. Tonight was her shift to take care of seeing said persons to their room and get them set up to live in the caverns, telling them the rules and such. |
It was rather quiet in The Caverns, at least to Michael it was. The silence from within The Cavern help him concentrate. He was laying on the floor of his room while he exercised, making sure his body wasn't getting any weaker. At the moment, he was shirtless. He had no intention of getting his top covered in sweat so he would have to waist time cleaning it. He had small towel resting beside his top on his cot, ready for when he was finished with his exercises and wanted to dry off.
After a while, he began to miss the sounds he usually heard during the day. Walking, mumbling and even the faint sounds of swords clashing were no longer heard at this time of night. All of it had become music to Michaels ears. They were noises he heard everyday and sounds he had grown accustomed to. He still remembered his first day at The Cavern's. He was scared and felt like his heart had jumped into his throat. Michael had desperately looked for the man who told him to come there, but he had never seen after that day. Now, Michael has just assumed that the man died and he moved on with his new life. He yawned as he laid on his back after finishing his workout. Quickly after the yawn, a growl from within his stomach. Michael pulled his knee's to his chest, rolled back, kicked forward, and launched himself into the air, landing on his feet. Grabbing the small towel on the cot, he began to pat himself down and clean off all the sweat. Michael threw the towel back down onto the cot and put on his tank-top, then proceeded to leave the small room. As he entered the hallway, Michael sighed. No matter how many times he's explored The Cavern's, he could never remember where the food was. ((I don't know if this is good enough. If it's not, I'll edit it.)) |
On her way to the kitchen she heard an exasperated sigh, quickly closing her eyes and ducking her head as she tried to scoot past the person she knew was there. Who they were didn't matter to her, some people here still chose to hate her and her kind even though the knew how her powers worked. One glimpse of the shine from her eyes, no matter if she looked at them or not would get her in trouble whether it be attacked or turned in with false lies.
She'd long since learned who, when, and where to go to avoid those who felt so strongly about what she was but she couldn't help the reaction when she was going through the hall that was residence to one of the worst she'd ever met. She didn't know his name, didn't even remember what he looked like it'd been so long since she'd dared to look at him but he'd had beaten her worse than any beating she'd ever received, telling Master Weaver that she'd been sneaking around, trying to steal some of his coin. A severely punished crime in the caverns. He was out on a job tonight but of course she didn't know that and with her room being moved recently to a location where the only route to the kitchen was that hall she was more wary than ever. She felt her silk covered arm brush against the stone wall she gave the unknown person so much room in the hall and her breaths were quiet, steps nonexistent, thoughts emptied. She'd stilled herself, trying foolishly to blend into the rock despite the fact that the soft night gown she wore was a pastel pink and she'd just been walking under a torch. Looking at her she looked more frustrated than scared and if one looked closely the could still see her eyes trying to shine through her eyelids from the torch light that passed through them. "Who's it?" She asked softly, eyes still closed and face angled towards the wall, waiting for the smallest sound. |
Without any sounds, it was hard for Michael to tell where anything was in The Caverns. Whenever he walked around, he used his hearing to tell where everything was. He could tell were people were eating just by the amount of talking that was coming from that direction, but since everyone was asleep it was completely impossible for him to tell where to go.
Unlike most of the people in The Cavern's, he was secluded, keeping mostly to himself and his work. He knew practically nothing of anybody else in The Cavern's and they knew nothing about him. Growing up was hard due to all the training and since he never spoke, most assumed he was weak and tried to best him during the teachings. Some did, others didn't. He just always did the best he could, making sure he was able to keep up with everyone else. Even though, a majority of them probably came from the same place as him. Michael was about to back into his room, when he saw something move underneath one of the many torches lining the hallway. Instinctively, he tensed up his muscles. He could barely make out the color of something pink moving, but when he heard a voice he relaxed. Michael shook his head as he looked over the barely visible figure in the poor lighting,"I don't think pink is a very good color to use when trying to blend into the dark. As for you question, I'm Michael. Now, who are you?" He attempted to try and get a better look at her, but his eye's weren't nearly as good as his ears. |
The young woman relaxed as she heard the voice but she tensed again immediately, "I wasn't planning on having to try to blend into the dark. It's midnight. Everyone but the new additions and the seers, or seer since there's only one seer to my knowledge, should be in bed right now." She retorted rather harshly, more defensive than angry or hostile. A moment later she answered him, "I'm Kana. "
She waited for any kind of response from him, her eyes still closed as she hugged herself, her feet getting cold. She should've put actual clothes on but she hadn't thought she'd be meeting anyone in the halls, "What's your view on seers?...." She asked him directly, warily opening her eyes to look at the person she spoke to and stepping into the light so she could be clearly seen. Kana had long iridescently black hair and her eyes were like gems, fire opals that glinted different colors in the light constantly changing hue, blue, green, pink, red, orange, yellow, constantly skipping about on all the colors of the rainbow. Her features were soft and her eyes were round and only slightly larger than average as if to magnify the effect of her eyes. "Because I need to know if I should avoid you or not." |
A chuckle escaped his lips when the woman told him her name. There had been rumors going around about her. A majority of the people in The Cavern's seemed to hate her, but he could never figure out why. Although, there were a few rumors about Michael as well. Some people even said that he killed his parent's, since he never spoke about it. As he did with everything else, he simply blocked them out of his life.
He ran his hand through his smooth, silver hair, some strands falling in his face,"My view on seers? I'm not sure-" He was cut off when she opened her eye's and stepped forward. When she became fully visible, his gaze focused on her eye's. He couldn't quite seem to separate his eye's and actually focus on Kana. His sapphire eye's never looked like that, even when the light is hitting them just perfectly. In truth though, he had nothing against seers. Technically, it was more of a not caring about what other people are. As long as he doesn't see something as a threat, there is a chance he could become well acquainted with them,"Well, I guess I don't really care?" He scratched the his left temple, not knowing what else to say to her. |
"You guess?" She asked, beginning to frown and crossing her arms "You're not clear on what seers see and how, are you?" She asked, deciding 'guess I don't really care' was better than him saying he hated seers or some such thing, "If you're secretive or you have something to hide then we probably shouldn't speak until you find out." She said bluntly, tightening the ponytail she was keeping her hair in for the moment and blowing the strands she'd left loose out of her face. "But if you're like some of the people who I know that don't have any secrets then we'll get along fine." She blinked, the light from her eyes cutting off in that instant before her eyes opened again. The light reflecting away from them was similar to the light passing out of a crystal, bright and colorful.
"It's cold here and my feet are beginning to freeze so if you want to continue this can we take it to the kitchens?" |
"Not particularly, no. I don't know much of anything about seer's or any other race besides humans." His reply was a little on the cold side, it was unintentional to be that way, but that's how it came out of his mouth. To him, Kana seemed like a rather odd person, but then again a majority of the people in The Cavern's had their quarks,"Secrets? I've been on my own since I got here. Plus, everything you do here is kinda seen by everyone. As for my previous life, I'm not afraid to admit what I had to do to survive." Michael rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. He was getting tired, but the rumbling in his stomach wouldn't go away until he got some food.
As he planning to end the conversation and go back into his room, Kana said the magical words he was hoping to here from just about anyone. His stomach let out a low growl,"Sure, let's head to the kitchens. You can lead the way." |
