This is a first come first serve, so I'd advise
that you reserve your desired spot first. I hope that you know the movie
Shutter Island, BUT no, you don't have to have watched the movie.
Just search up the story line, and any questions just ask.
I won't be quizzing you, I trust that you won't join blind to this
small introduction post. Me, iinsanely Sane, and
Strawberry Kitkat met a week ago,
and found we both had an interest in the movie
Shutter Island, and voilá! We managed to make a juicy plot out of it.
So buckle in, and enjoy the ride!

So, you know how Terry Daniels, who in the
end turns out to be the 67th patient and all that yadda yadda,
well instead of him having his mind forget everything every sixth
months, and him thinking he's an US marshall investigating the
disappearance of a patient be untrue. We have decided to
make this all real. Now, the characters will be different, there
will be no Terry Daniels or whatnot, but we will still follow the
same storyline, besides the ending where its all his imagination,
we're going to discover the darkest secrets of that asylum!
All those rumours, of the lighthouse, of the 67th patient, that will all
be true. Let me explain, the schizophrenic patients, and all the
other patients that have it real bad, and are, in the asylum's owner's
mind, uncurable, he uses them as experiments for his medication on his
other patients, that he feels can still be cured. So, I guess you could
say he still does have a heart, since he wants some of his patients
cured, but still, using other patients as experiments? That's just not cool.
There is going to be a patient who manages to escape, just like in the movie,
and she knows about the pills, the ciggarettes, the water, pretty much the
food too! The food, the water and the medication that they give you in the asylum,
are inserted with drugs, and give you more headaches than you
already had, and give you, worst of all, bad dreams, crazy dreams.
As for the weather, there its usually very bad, thunderstorms, strong
wind, rain, but it can be dry sometimes. And at some point in the role play,
I'll probably have the crazy patients break out or something and attack
anyone they see, and make it that no one can leave the island. Mwahha! XD
»x x x x x x x s e t t i n g x x x x x x x «
Basically, this is an island in the middle of nowhere. The docks are
at the front of the island, and have a road leading to the asylum,
which is spot in the middle. I don't quite know the map of it all completely,
but we can use our imagination! A beach runs along the shore, and turns
into forest surrounding the asylum. There are plenty of cliffs, and on the east
of the island there is a lighthouse surrounded by water. The only way there
and back is by boat, unless you're as daring as hot Terry Daniels and you
swim there! <3 The lighthouse is where Daniel believes the experiments
take place, but please be realistic. Find stuff out AS YOU GO ALONG, and not
at the beginning. Good luck!

I'm going to make this quick.
1. Follow Menewshan Guidelines and all that.
2. Violence, drama and romance is accepted, but please
if you're going to go all detailed with the gore or nudity,
take it somewhere else.
3. Be nice to everyone. Don't complain if you didn't get
the role you wanted, as I said, first come first serve.
4. Title profiles; "Someone is missing".
5. I'll probably make a profile thread which once all profiles are
posted, will turn into a OOC Thread, so keep OOC to a minimum here.
6. THIS IS A SEMI-LIT/LIT ROLE PLAY! This means, post 2-3 paragraphs
every post, and AT LEAST one paragraph with writer's block. One
paragraph consists of 5-7 lines.
7. Please present us with a nice post, no blinding colours, a nice font?
8. Last but not least, grammar and spelling must be good, I want to
understand you.
9. Oh... and have fun!
10. Wanted to complete the numbering (:

The ocean was somewhat calm throughout the journey, and Xia didn't have much trouble at the start of the trip with her usual sea sickness. But once they passed half way, and were closer to arriving at the Shutter Island, the ocean was rougher, the wind started to pick up, and a mild rain fell. Shivering Xia zipped up her jacket, unable to understand the weather change in such a quick period of time. As though they crossed a line that triggered the weather to change, this was absurd, but Xia could not phrase it any other way. She felt the boat rock, back, forward, to the sides, and back again. Waves crashed against the boat, even flooding the it. She was getting sea sick, and Xia knew it. Gripping her stomach, she thought about lying down, and decided to head to her room. A whistle blew, but was barely heard. It blew again. She heard something crack and crickle, before the static mega phone started blarring.
"Everyone get inside, I repeat, everyone get inside!" the person holding the instrument shouted, and once this was understood, panic made its way through the crowd, unleashing chaos throughout the whole ship. Xia sighed and followed the man's orders, walking back inside. Other people though, didn't seem to find his order that simple, and were running around screaming, looking for children. Venturing the halls, Xia walked back to her dorm. She was expecting to see Alicia there, her best friend and current US Marshall leader, but she wasn't. Frowning, Xia turned and walked back the way she came, looking in the bar, calling her name in the toilets, Xia couldn't find her. "That's strange," she muttered with a frown. She asked the bartender, but he hadn't seen her since lunch, and that was two hours ago. But no matter how much Xia wanted to look for her friend, the rocking of the boat sent her reeling.
----------
Jeffrey, also known as Jeff, paced in his study, the ticking of his old fashioned clock sounding in the background. He hadn't seen his partner yet, but he had a feeling his assistant was making sure everything was ready for the 'guests' that were arriving any minute now. The rumble of thunder sounded outside, rain slamming down on the grass in the courtyard, this place was no place with rainbows, some said it is haunted. Jeffrey believed nothing of it. He heard someone knock, and turned as a door creaked open with a frightened maid. Ah yes, he knew this girl. She seemed to be frightened of thunder, so it was only obvious why her hands shook as she stammered out the news. "T-the g-gue-sts are arriving, s-sir," she stammered uncontrollably, and Jeff smiled. "My dear, there is no need to be afraid, why don't you sit down and have a cup of tea?" he offered kindly, but the lady paled and shook her head. She was on the brink of tears. "N-no thank you s-sir," she turned down his offer kindly, offering a weak smile in return before leaving the room, the door closing with a click. Jeffrey sighed. Why is everyone so afraid of me? Even my partner sometimes moves away from me, I'd never want to hurt anyone. I'm innocent. I don't understand.

Alicia Becket, meanwhile, had been on the deck of the ship, perfectly fine with the rocking movements and even the sudden weather change. When it came to Alicia, it almost seemed like nothing could rattle her. At least, she didn't show it. As it were, Alicia's mind was turning at a thousand miles a minute as the wind and rain bit at her face.
She took a deep breathe, pushing her short, dark hair out of her eyes. She was finally going to the last place her sister had been seen alive- Shutter Island, home of the Shutter Island Mental Institute. The official report was that Alicia was going in to investigate some strange disappearances and deaths of patients, but for Alicia this was much more personal. Her sister Malena had been one of those reported dead due to "natural causes"- Alicia didn't buy it for a minute. What did "natural causes" mean? Couldn't have been old age. Malena was the younger of the Beckett sisters. They had said something about a lack of nutrition, so she had starved herself? Alicia just couldn't see it. And this was her sister they were talking about; the only person closer to Alicia then Malena was her partner, Xiomara.
Speaking of, Alicia turned around to look for the young woman. Alicia knew that she got seasick, and was probably somewhere in their room throwing her guts up into a trash bin. She was about to head in to check on her when a man's voice blared over the loudspeaker, telling everyone to go inside.
"One step ahead of you," she muttered, pushing her way through the panicked crowd. As soon as she got into the hallway she pulled off her soaked berret and gloves, shoving them into her jacket pocket before continuing to her room. "Xia, you here," she asked, pushing open the door to their room. No Xia. Weird, Alicia thought, then shrugged. Maybe she decided not to stink up the room and took her hurling antics to the restroom. A comforting thought; if that was the case, Alicia could wait. She peeled her jacket off and left it in a heap on the floor before crossing over to the desk and taking a seat. She was wearing her "nice" suit- really, just a black suit with fancy gold buttons. Most of Alicia's attire was black or in shades of gray; it was easier for her to wear those colors. No worrying about matching or whatnot (Fashion- definitely not Alicia's forte. Actually, anything out of law and being a complete badass (jk) were outside of Alicia's zone.)
She picked up the file on Shutter Island and settled back into her seat, opening it up and pulling out random papers. Resident reports, copies of attendant logs, statements from the owner, pictures of the deceased, it was all in this folder. She began to read again, searching for something, anything, that she might have missed before.
[[Long post O.O You know what, now I'm wishing I had made Alicia a blonde girl who smoked XD]]

Cornelius Lemoine Monk suffered from a developmental disorder known as Asperger Syndrome, a mild form of autism. Though if you asked him, he would probably say he was very well developed considering his IQ was far off the charts of average. For him, the only difficulty in life was inserting himself into the category of 'normal'. Most of his childhood consisted of verbal, and physical abuse from his peers, who deemed him strange. He had a hard time with socializing, and making new friends was often times strenuous, and awkward. The only friendships he seemed to gain were fraudulent, and made to mock him. He couldn't remember a single one of them being real, looking back, and he wouldn't be surprised in the least, if there were none.
When starting college he was only fourteen, and was afraid that the adults there would treat him in the same way as his parents had, not as his peers. The only adults that he knew had respectable qualities were his aunt, and uncle, who treated him like a normal kid. His parents scolded him for not socializing with people, for rambling, picking up abnormal habits(one of them being constantly scribbling down years in his notebook), and a few other things. Cornelius was afraid of being put in a box again. Children, teens, those younger people, teased, mocked, bullied, and then grew bored for awhile, leaving him to do whatever again. Most adults have an obsession with fixing or easing things.
The way college went was: everyone looked at him like a prized object(especially the professors). Everyone had to talk to the prodigy, and the camera had to be on him at all times. Talking to people became a bit of a nuisance because the majority could only focus on his age. If he spoke out in anything that involved intelligence, their minds would drift to how cute he was and would never take him seriously. Still there were others who manipulated him for their own benefits because they realized his gifts, and how naive he was. Soon it all went to manipulating as he got older, and to those who really didn't care one way or another so long as he could get a job done. There were nice people out there, they weren't trying to be friends though, only friendly.
At some point in his life Cornelius gave up on finding friendship, and deciding who was worthy of his. There were only people he trusted, and those he didn't, and at what level. That's how he based how much he would care for a person.
As for his parent's involvement in his life, it all became rather obsolete. They gave him large portions of money, once a month, occasionally more often. It was the only thing they could give. His mother had wrote to him once, explaining this, and telling him how sorry she was for not being able to be his mother. He was unable to comprehend it, and neither his uncle or aunt made it sound logical to him. (He still holds onto that letter.)
The ship swayed from side to side as the storm went on. Inside his room, Cornelius was messing around with an eight ball. He was amused on how ridiculous it was. He had asked the same question several times,(not all at once of course) and the answers had varied many of those times. Some of the questions he asked, he already knew the answer to, on occasion it was correct, which was part of the reason he had began with it in the first place. He wrote down his last result on a piece of paper, and neatly packed the rest of his loose belongings into his suitcase.
Going outside took some work, he kept stumbling about. All his things were left in his room. He was seeing how close to shore they were. He moved towards the edge, holding onto the railings tightly. In the distance he spotted a lighthouse. Soon enough they were going to be on that island.
[I imagine them being on separate ships, but left it open, just in case.
And though I'm taking a lot from Asperger, that's not all his personality is. A lot of it stems from his experience, it only mixes with that. I'm also trying to smooth things out. Hope this posts works.]

Xia held her stomach as she rushed to the restroom, spilling her guts out in the nearest empty cubicle. Xia neared the sinks, leaning against it as she stared at her pale reflection looking back at her, hand still gripping her stomach. She turned the tap on and rinsed her face, drinking some water and rinsing her mouth, before popping a smint in her mouth. Xia always came prepared when she had to board a ship, if there were no other options. As much as she adore the ocean and its vastness, she would spend most of her hours of the boat in the restroom, so she has been avoiding it for most of her life now. Once Xia felt a little better, she made her way to the bar.
Sitting down at the counter, she ordered a club sandwich and a seven up. She had skipped the lunch because of her nausea, the sea was too rough, not that it wasn't now. But Xia could not press her hunger any more than she had, and as she dug into her club sandwich, she felt someone sit down next to her. She payed no attention to the guy, but noticing him put a pill in her drink really put her off. She chewed what she had in her mouth before turning to him. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" she snapped, glaring. "What the hell did you put in my drink?" she asked, waiting impatiently. The thing is, the man had already disappeared as soon as she turned to kill him. She blinked, realizing she had been talking to herself the whole time. Xia looked around, in time to see him disappear as he entered the next room. She noticed that he had the working clothes, and she stared at the empty doorway suspiciously. There was something very fishy about this.
Xia took one bite of her club sandwich, but somehow the pill in her drink put her off, as though they put something in the sandwich as well. Leaving the drink untouched, she decided to head back to her dorm, hoping she would find Allicia there. She entered the room expecting to be alone, and finding Allicia there was a small surprise. "Hey! I was looking all over for you!" she exclaimed, falling onto her own bed as she groaned. "Had you noticed the strange weather change, its very... its not normal," she said with a frown. "It started raining and the ocean just got rough so quickly, I don't understand, is there any explanation for that?" she rambled on with a permanent frown on her face. Xia decided not to tell Allicia about her strange encounter with one of the workers who'd plonked a pill in her drink just yet, wondering if the rooms were monitored or something. Mumbling to herself Xia laid down again, closing her eyes as she thought, not really expecting Alicia to answer, but still hoping she would. There were a few minutes of silence before a bell started to ring, letting the passengers know that they've arrived. Xia sprang up, wanting to feel the precious ground again. "We're here," she said, packing the remaining before getting up to leave. "Lets go?"

- Marla Keys -
From where she stood, Marla Keys raked a hand through her dark hair. She heard that there would be new arrivals on the island today. Shuddering, the guard shifted her grip on the side of her belt - and then clenched her hands into tight firsts. Small crescent marks appeared on her palms, but that wouldn't bother her. Marla didn't care much about pain. At all.
Stepping to the other side of the door, Marla glanced about, wondering what she should do when the newcomers arrived. Do I stay here and keep watch over this area? Or do I move to the docks to . . . Her question was answered by one of the other guards approaching and muttering something about taking her post. The docks it was. With a brisk stride, the woman made her way to the sea-side port, watching and listening for the sound of any kind of craft. It wasn't but an hour before she heard some sort of engine - there, just there. A ship. A few boats carrying the new people.
Suddenly giddy with excitement, Marla gave a small squeak of joy. Hearing the noise, she suddenly caught herself, glancing around quickly. She had to sound normal if she wanted to go home, no use breaking her record or normality now. Moving forward to help the first boat unload its passengers, the dark-haired youth grinned from ear to ear . . . before catching her expression and locking it behind a mask of stoicism. Welcome to Shutter Island.
-
- Matt Dark -
Today was the day. More people were coming to the island. Matt sighed, closing his book. The few moments he’d had to relax were spent studying, as he’d done most of his life. The hard rock music that was blaring from his headphones was abruptly quieted as the male stood, his brown eyes scanning the dock as he saw the first few boats heading in. They were here.
Glancing toward the lighthouse, the medical personnel frowned and took a drag from the cigarette that had been dangling from his hand. “Yippie-ki-yay.” Tossing his book aside, the youth stood, slowly meandering toward the docks. It would be interesting to see who he would be attending to for the next . . . long while. Blowing out a cloud of smoke, he leaned back against the railing, watching with mild interest as the ocean brought in a fresh catch.

The girl groaned in pain as he stitched up her wound, a self inflicted wound. She didn't feel the pain till later, but never learnt from her mistakes, Isaac never understood how she managed to inflict so much damage on herself without certain items. The bite marks on her arm looked as painful as being stabbed with a knife, they were deep, and looked as though she were beaten by a shark of some sort. The skin was torn and bloody, and Isaac almost pitied the girl. but for some reason, he thought that pain inflicting wounds were their own fault, and there was no excuse for it, not even maniac depression. "There you go," he said with a smile as he raised his head, and moved to look at his work. "That shall do the trick, it might take some time to heal. Any itching will make it worse, so please don't do that, but worst of all, try to stop hurting yourself like this sweetie, it's not good," he pleads gently, before raising from his seat.
Isaac's shift was over, and looking at the clock, he realized the ships were probably already unloading. Grabbing his coat and a few more essentials, Isaac hurried out the door, knowing Jeff would want some of his workers there to greet the passengers. He walked down the halls, knowing the time was ticking and he was already late. Rushing down the empty halls wasn't the worse part, it was going through the drizzle and the wind that Isaac hated most about the island. Why couldn't it be some Hawaiian beach or something? Instead of an island that had the worst weather, and in the middle of a forest? Isaac just shook his head at the thought, looking at the shrubs and many thousands of tree's around him. Once Isaac arrived, he noticed that he was there just in time because he couldn't see Jeff around, and so Isaac shoved his hands in his pockets, shivering against the cold. He saw no cover, and looking around, noticed another one of the nurses, Matt. The guy wasn't the most friendliest in the world, but Isaac enjoyed the silence and understanding between them, and would often sit with the guy. So approaching the guy with a small smile, he nodded at him, saying, "Whats up?"

Dark's eyes flit up to Isaac, and he nodded in greeting. "A fresh crowd's coming in." A silence then filled the air as he continued to smoke, gaze back on the docking boats. It was a few minutes later before he muttered a curse, tossing his cigarette onto the damp dock and crushing it with his boot. "I hate this place. I almost wish I hadn't signed up."
Crossing his arms, the youth sighed. When his brown eyes landed on Marla at the other end of the dock, he frowned. "Haven't seen her around in a while. It looks like she's doing better." It wasn't really a conversation, just a pondering thought. With a shrug, he pushed himself away from the railing. "She's the chick that's afraid of the dark. Wouldn't let me turn out the lights just to test her vision." He shook his head and fished out another cigarette from somewhere in his pocket. Slowly stepping toward the new company, Matt grumbled something about not being able to light his cig due to the drizzle coming down. You'd think that he'd be used to it by now. . . .
-
Grunting with the effort of helping the ramp settle on the dock, Marla secured it as best she could, making sure the boat wouldn't drift and pull away. Offering her hand to the first person coming off the boat, she smiled tightly and welcomed them. Run while you still can, she thought, but the words never reached her lips. If anything, it danced in her eyes; a strange sort of panic and pity was hidden in her gaze. Miss Keys continued to offer her assistance, passing the people on to the next few people that were there to help receive them. You don't want to be here. No one does.

Hours ago Thomas Stewart had prepared for the arrival of the newcomers and now he was in a secret area of his room that he had created when he first moved into it. If one were to carefully examine his wallpaper they would see there was a thin cut shaped like a tiny door meant for a ten year old to walk into. Inside was a makeshift room that Tomo crawled into and sat inside when he felt a need to be alone. No one knew of this place and he made sure no one would by leaving it before anyone suspected he was missing. To Jeff, and anyone else in the asylum, Tomo appeared to finish his tasks slowly when he had to do it on his own when he actually performed them quickly then scurried off to his room. Now was the time to return to Jeff's side before he searched for him.
Carefully he crawled out of his hole and gently closed the hidden door behind him then scurried to Jeff's study where he figured he was located. Tomo had been watching Jeff's patterns over the course of knowing him and was able to figure out where he was the majority of the time. "Hi, Jeff! Everything is a-okay!" He noted the girl that he rushed passed him and frowned. "Aw, Jeffy, are you scaring people again?" Within a matter of seconds Tomo wrapped his arms around Jeff's waist with a smile, gazing up at him. Eagerly he awaited Jeff to tell him the next task he was to do; whatever Jeff pleased he would do.

Meanwhile on the boat with Cornelius, Nami was tinkering around with a tiny object that one would recognize as a child's toy she had brought along for the journey; it was a simple device known as a Tamagotchi. The toy was bought by her mother as a gag gift for her birthday, insisting it was the closest thing she would ever get to a grandchild and to handle her "baby" with care. What shocked them was Nami did play with the Tamagotchi and made sure that it didn't die; she was already on generation five. Unlike most children who changed the name from the old Tamagotchi's name to something different for the new hatchling, Nami kept the Tamagotchi's name Chuchu. Dear little Chuchu was taken wherever she went whether she was on a serious mission or watching a movie at home. People at work teased her about it when she first brought in Chuchu, but immediately stopped when she shot a bullet through the roof.
Cornelius came in on deck and walked passed her to see if land was near, but Nami didn't care enough to even glance at him. She continued to feed her little pet and play games with it to get the fake money to buy Chuchu toys and better food. "Yo, Monk-a-roo-no. Ready'ta go on freakazoid isle?"

Alicia half listened to Xia, examining the file. With a frustrated sigh, she pushed the file away, leaning back in her seat and closing her eyes. "Probably not," she said, in response to Xia's question. It was a surprise even to her that she had answered; both girls knew that Alicia had always been the type to leave questions unanswered. "It's probably just a storm blowing off the island. You read the report on that place, the weather is insane."
Alicia looked up as the bell rang, then gracefully rose to her feet. She went at a much slower pace then Xia; she felt no need to hurry off the boat, they'd get there at the same time. All that mattered was that she was able to get down to business once they got there.
She went over to the door and grabbed her jacket and slipped it on, tying the belt before pulling out her black berret and gloves and putting them on. She then went and grabbed the file, tucking it into a bag before sliding the bag onto her shoulder. Inside were just a few small, personal things- a compact mirror, lipstick, a few pens just in case hers broke. She slipped her feet back into her shoes and slipped out of the room, joining Xia above deck.
"There it is," she said, her voice and face dead serious. Her hands gripped the bar tightly; she was finally going to figure out what had happened to her sister, no matter what it took. Even if it killed her, she would get to the bottom of this. "I heard the feds will be there, too," she remarked almost coldly. She didn't exactly enjoy the thought of them interfering with her investigation of things, but she had no say in such matter.

Isaac chuckled. "I know, we'll be having a lot of complaints about the weather," he said. Isaac watched as finally the next boat came in, and the first was still unloading. You would have thought the passengers would run off and search for cover, but they were certainly taking their time. He pitied them in a small way, after all, they had no idea what was lying in wait for them, and were most probably not going to be let off the island again. Isaac grew slightly angry at the thought, and he almost wanted to shout, and tell them to go back on the boat because of some problem. He wondered if Matt even knew. Or Marla, the girl who was apparently scared of the dark. "How so? Did she say why?" he replied with a frown. It's probably because Marla, as a guard, will have to stand in one place for ages, and your imagination can really give you a fright sometimes, especially near the more insane patients building. "How long have you been working here?" he asked randomly. He wondered also why Matt came here, and if he knew about what was really going on. The only problem was that conversations were monitored almost everywhere. He knew that inside his coat, the coat someone gave him, there is a mic. Just like there is in Matt's coat. Isaac sighed at the thought, and got depressed all of a sudden, a sad feeling. Looking at Matt, he asked, "Hey can I have a cig?"

Jeff smiled as his partner, glad Tomo was around. He loved the guy, despite his immature behaviour, it made certain things easier, like explaining the drugs in the food, except Jeff didn't know about that either. Only Kay did. He was very easily manipulated, and it helped Kay explain things. Sometimes he considered Tomo his child despite the fact that he was much older than he acted. "Tomo, good to see you!" he exclaimed, hugging him back. He only pulled away once Tomo asked if he was scaring people again, and frowned at him. "But Jeff would never do such a thing," he said. "I don't want to scare people..." Jeff continued, and he faked some tears. [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]"Am I bad?" Jeffrey moved away from him, pretending to be distant, and said, "We should get to the docks, the passengers are arriving." Leaving the room, Jeff didn't even make sure Tomo was following.
----------
Xia frowned. "Yeah, I know I read the reports, and I know the weather is insane, but isn't that a little bit of a coincidence?" she asked, before shaking her head. Xia was thinking fantasy again, "Ah nevermind." Xia followed Allicia to the top of the deck, noticing how serious the girl became the closer they got to the island. She noticed her knuckles going white as Allicia gripped the railing strongly, and Xia put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about it, with feds, or with no feds, we will find her and get to the bottom of this," she said with a squeeze, trying to comfort her friend. As they left the ship and Xia felt actual ground under her feet, a guard was welcoming their stay with a smile. The thing was, her eyes said something different. She noticed the owner of the place there, he looked quite similar to the pictures in the report, so with every bit of secrecy, she nudged Allicia, and looked at the guard before looking away.

((Pssh, I don't consider those short. They're average, at least! *laugh* It's enough to work with, and that's what we need!))
Matt's brown eyes lingered on the new arrivals, and nodded to Isaac's question. He handed over a cigarette after finally lighting his own, and then tossed over the lighter. "She never said why," the tall youth shrugged, referring to Marla. "I'm not her damn psychiatrist." But one can only guess, on this island. There were things happening that would scar people for the rest of their lives, and everyone on the island was living with it constantly. No one here was normal - or that's how Dark saw it.
When the next question came up, Matt raked a hand through his damp hair. "How long?" He scowled through the cloud of smoke he'd just exhaled, shoving himself away from the railing and muttering something under his breath. "It feels like years. I've been here for almost a season, I'm estimating. It's frickin easy to lose track of time out here." And I could care less about how much I've missed back home. "Not that I care. I don't have anywhere to go back to, so why bother counting the days?"
-
Marla leaned forward to grasp the wrist of the next person in line, and then muttered a greeting. It wasn't a preferred job, but she would do it. She would do whatever she had to in order to get off the island. If she was better, they'd let her go, wouldn't they? It wasn't long before the first boat was unloaded, and the second needed help with their passengers. Miss Keys immediately accepted the job, smiling falsely and ushering more prey onto their hell-hole of an island. I'm so sorry.

[[Sorry for taking forever, guys, I had a party and a sleepover to go to and no time inbetween to post.]]
"Yeah, I know," Alicia said. She felt Xia nudge her and glanced at the man as she nonchalantly slipped on her sunglasses. Interesting. I wonder if he knows anything, she thought. Then, she thought better- duh, of course he knew. She needed to get on the ball here. "I think it would be good to start with him," Alicia said softly enough for only her partner to hear, slipping her hands into her pockets. "And work our way down. Someone is bound to know something, and if it loops back to him we can just backtrack." She ran a hand through her dark, silky hair, glancing around at the guards. One in particular, there was something.... off about her. She smiled at the passengers and welcomed them, but Alicia felt she was nervous about something. Or maybe we can start with her, she thought.

[No problemo]
[I hate the internet. >.> It likes to randomly close one me. Good thing I saved most of it in notebook.... So much for the rest of it. So if the ending of Slaine's post sounds like crap, that's why.]
"De fuckink hell! De viskey are all chone," said Saline in her thick German accent, a sign of her drunken state. She peered into the metal canister. Her lips puckered unto a pout when all that came out was a small drip which she caught with the tip of her tongue. The canister was slammed onto her kitchen table, and the chair scraped against the linoleum floor as she rose up.
Her hips swayed smoothly in her black dress as she made her way over to the coat rack. She pulled down a red coat with black fur lining it's hood. She thought about bringing an umbrella, but the storm seemed to heavy for it. It would blow away, or be tattered to bits, besides, she didn't mind getting wet. "No vat I do vit my vallet?" She patted herself down, then dug her hand into her pocket when she felt a lump. The wallet she found was empty. "Pah," she grumbled. "I need to talk to re poss ebout e raise. Zis are ridiculous, runnink ot of viskey, et such e time, end vorse, runnink ot of money. Vat e ve to pe?"
She flung open the door, and slammed it on her way out, she almost didn't bother locking it.
The way Slaine dealt with her problems was by drinking until they drowned. One of the problems she was facing now was Darcey's letter. He had brought up Shea. They had all agreed to never bring him up. Shea was the Achilles heal of their family.
Ich hatte einen Traum über ihn gestern Abend Slaine. I had a dream about him last night Slaine.
It was a short while later Slaine arrived at the asylum. She went to the file room in search of more information on her upcoming patient. Every now and again she would take an interest in her patience. It had nothing to do with the patient themselves, it was on her mood at the time. Slaine found the file she needed, then retreated to the halls.
Cornelius's first notion was to keep walking. He hated that name, it wasn't his, and it sounded degrading. It didn't help much that he didn't particularly care for Nami. Her personality made him uncomfortable.
He half way turned to her with his hand tightly holding onto the railing. "I'm prepared, if that's what you're infering." He noticed the Tamagachi in her hands. As many times as he had asked her about it, he still couldn't grasp the point of it. "You should gather your things, if you have not already. The ship will be docking soon."
Before she could make a response, he made his way away from her. The next time he came out their ship had docked, and was unloading its passengers. There was a lot of rushing about, so much so, that he almost got lucky coming off. "Agent Linden?" he asked to see if she was with him or near him. He straightened the strap of his side back, and gripped his suitcase a bit tighter for comfort.

"You aren't bad, Jeffy," Tomo smiled, his body swaying from side to side. "Bad people do bad things..." his sentenced trailed off, which was common when speaking to Tomo and it was unlikely his partner wasn't used to it. Many assumptions had been mad of what he could possibly be thinking. Maybe he forgot he was talking or maybe he closed his mouth and continued the sentence in his head but didn't realize no one else could hear, whatever the case he did it. His pupils adjusted to his blurred vision whilst staring intently at the adjacent wall.
He shook his head rapidly, a large grin spread across his features. "Yay! Yay! New people! I wonder if they're friendly! I bet they'll be so cool!" Tomo skipped off, getting ahead of Jeff with his arms spread out; he was pretending to be an airplane, again. It didn't take long for him to reach the docks, jumping up and down in pure excitement.
--------------------
Nami was ready for anything that they could possibly dish out at her, even if she didn't look it. The enemy expected an uptight officer, so why not act like an unprepared, pompous amateur?
She played her Tamagotchi until her partner surfaced. Of course, to fuck with him, Nami purposely hid within the crowd and carefully watched him to see how long it would take him to realize she wasn't at his side. It would take him longer to notice she was gone than most partners; she wasn't oblivious to his dislike of her. Agent Linden stood at the dock and allowed the other passengers to pass by her, standing her ground. It wasn't until one of them whammed her shoulder that she revealed to her partner where she was by swiftly lodging her thick combat boot into the stomach of her assaulter - whether accidental or not. "Watch where da hell yer goin' ya motha fucka, jesus!" The passenger scurried away from her. "Fuckin' pussy ass! Ya gonna run 'round with yer tail 'tween yer toes?!"
