Mirial nodded and looked at him as he caressed her cheek. She closed her eyes as she kissed him back and opened her mouth to his tongue. Her eyes remained closed until he spoke and then her eyes went to his. "I'm beginning to hate that word, goodbye." The princess said as she felt like crying as she watched him stand. She stood to put on another silk nightgown and get rid of her binds and ruined nightgown. Her wrists and ankles showing the bruises caused by her bindings.
Adanril chuckled and smiled at Mirial. "But goodbye doesn't mean forever." In good humor he softly kissed her bruised wrists. "Take care of yourself." He said wishing the bruises were never there. They kept reminding him of what his men did. With a deep breath he pulled away from the princess and went over to his men. He picked them in headlocks ready to drag them back into camp.
Her eyes stayed on him as he kissed her bruised wrists and nodded. "You, too." Mirial said as he walked over to his men and put them in headlocks to carry them back. The princess opened her tent flap for Adanril since his hands were full. She would see him when her father came back but that would take a week at least. So, she would have to wait until she could see her prince again.
He nodded in thanks to her in thanks as she held open the tent flap for him to drag his men out. Adanril could not look back when he left or he would of ran right back. Once he was back at his camp he tied his men up to a tree as punishment for now. But ever since he left the princess he was in a foul mood and was always walking around with a scowl.
She closed her eyes and walked back to her bed and laid there on her side. Her mind was filled with thoughts of Adanril and his touch as she laid there on her bed and blushed. Mirial's eyes finally closed as Azaril laid on the floor near her bed to protect her from any other surprises. The princess dreamed of Adanril being at her side forever and even starting a family and a content smile spread across her face.
But that was the only time she ever seemed happy. When she woke, the feeling of emptiness filled her heart and walked around the camp with sadness in her eyes. Mirial left food on her plate at meal times and left early at each meal. She walked to the top of the hill and looked into the forest where she first met her wild one. The princess just sat there and stared into the woods, with tears in her eyes. 'He's not dead so why do I feel so sad like he is dead?' She asked herself as Azaril sat by her side. |
Adanril ended up practically living in the woods, he didn't want to be around anyone other then Mirial. His thoughts and dreams were consumed by her, every second away seemed like days. Would always end up finding himself in the area where he first met the girl. This time he ventured out further from where she came from.
When he found an opening he looked around to find his very love sitting on a hill. Thinking it was an image of his imagination he leaned back against a tree and just watched her from a far. Glad to take in the view. |
Mirial noticed someone watching her from the woods and thought he looked like the prince but she wasn't sure. Her eyes focused in on the person and stood to walk towards the figure. 'Adanril...' She thought to herself hoping that it was him. The princess used caution as Azaril walked by her side towards the woods.
It only took Adanril a few seconds to connect the dots, it was Mirial. Instantly he took off running to her only to pick her up in his arms. "Mirial!" He cried out overjoyed his smile coming back instantly. He spun her around happily willing to take anything Azaril dished out on him. Adanril was so glad to have her in his arms.
Her eyes stayed on him as he ran to her and picked her up. "Eep! Adanril, put me down!" Mirial squeeled with joy as she held onto him and let him spin her. Azaril sat by and watched the two, happily. She closed her eyes and tried not to make so much noise or they would be discovered. The princess smiled and held onto him as she waited for him to stop or fall down from spinning them. "It's only been a day since you saw me!"
Adanril grinned up at her. "Mmm, I'd prefer not to." He said smiling, he did want to let her down. Instead he put his arms under her thighs so she could use them his arms as a chair not spinning anymore. "A day that felt like a century." It made him so happy to see her. He leaned back against a tree near his body. "Would you bestow me with a kiss, my love?"
She smiled and looked at him as she kept her arms around his neck. "I know how you feel, my dearest." Mirial kissed him passionately as she felt a little awkward in this position with her groin near his. Her cheeks filled with color as her private place was protected with her thin underwear. The princess pulled back blushing as she had never been held like this before.
After the kiss Adanril soon realized how her body was against his and slowly lowered her, but didn't remove his arms from around her slim figure. With his hands he slid them down her thighs to fix her dress. "Then you can't blame me for wanting you in my arms." He gently kissed her cheek then nuzzled his face into her neck covering his blush.
Mirial looked at him as he lowered her and fixed her dress for her as she smiled. "No, I like being in your arms as much as you like holding me." Her eyes closed as she rested her head on his and blushed more. She held him there as she rubbed his back and the wind blew through the trees while the sun started to set. "Adanril, maybe we'd be more comfortable sitting."
Adanril chuckled kissing her neck lightly, "Whatever you want my dear." he said before lifting her back up and slowly sat down placing her in his lap. With her in his arms he wondered when they would ever be able to stay together without the secrecy. Even though it made it exciting, it was depressing. "Comfortable?" he asked looking at her gently twirling her long purple hair around one of his fingers.
Her lips let out a soft moan as he kissed her neck as she blushed and covered her mouth. Miriam nodded as she looked up at him and rested her head in the crook of his neck with her hands on his chest. She sat there in his arms with Azaril near them bathing in the sun. The princess felt like she could fall asleep like this with him.
He smiled softly liking the sound of hear moan and the sight of her blush. Could stay like this forever. If only he was able too. Adanril gently rested his head against hers gliding his fingers through her hair. He couldn't help but close his eyes basking in the feel of her against him. It would drive him mad if he wouldn't be able to marry her.
She fell asleep there in his lap as soon people of both sides were searching for them. Azaril nudged at his master and pulled at her dress as they searches got closer to them. Mirial started to open her eyes as she heard the shouts and calls of their names. The princess looked at her love and kissed his neck trying to wake him up. "My love, they are looking for us...we must have dozed off."
The kiss on his neck made Adanril chuckle a little before slowly open his eyes to see what touched his neck. That was then when he heard the shouts. Quickly he kissed her on the lips. "I guess we must part ways again." He smiled at her, waiting for her to make a move. Not like he could move or wanted to with her in his lap. It made her curious to see what would happen if they found them together.
Mirial kissed him back as she got off his lap and nodded. "Yes..." Her eyes and voice showed the same amount of sadness in her heart. "I love you, Adanril. Please, meet me here again after dinner." She said as she looked at him and kissed his lips. The princess than jumped on Azaril as the search parties grew closer to them. Her eyes on him till she went over the hill.
Adanril slowly stood up and looked at her longingly. "Definitely." he said kissing her back only to watch her ride away on Azaril. With a sigh he slowly sank back down against the tree, letting his search party come to him. So when they got there he took the opportunity to yell at the for waking him up, taking his foul mood out of them. But sadly is men had gotten use to it and just dragged him back.
Her search party was more relieved to find her unharmed as she smiled and them looked back at the forest. Mirial rode back to her tent on Azaril and stayed there for the rest of the night. She slept peacefully as she dreamed of being Adanril's wife and having a family with him. The princess laid there on her bed but imagined herself sleeping on Adanril. A note would arrive by morning filled with such sorrow that it would keep the fires of war burning.
The hostile prince was dragged all the way back into his tent and thrown onto his mat only to get pulled into a wrestling fight. It was how his men shown they cared and were worried about them. They also knew Adanril never lost a fight. Only for awhile had it taken his mind off Mirial before throwing him back into a depression and yelling at his men to get out. He needed to be alone. When he fell asleep he had sweet dreams about his love, never wanting to awake. But he would have too and then wait through the agonizing hours till dinner. He was really about to crack, he could barely stand staying away from her.
She opened her eyes as there were shouts and calls for a doctor made as three wounded moon elves rode into the camp before falling from their horses. Mirial put on a robe and walked out to see what was going on. One of the wounded elves looked at her and bowed his head before speaking. "We were on our way back with the king's army. We were passing through a forest when a hundred wild ones attacked us. We three are the only survivors." He said as he coughed up blood and bowed his head again. "I am sorry for your loss, Queen Mirial." The princess stood there with a shocked expression on her face as the elf spoke. But he was right, since the good queen died at the birth of her daughter and there were no more heirs...she was now queen. The troops kneeled at her feet as she started to cry.
No word had reached Adanril's encampment about the death of the moon King till evening was slowly making its way to the horizon. However when it did Adanril froze in place, Mirial's father was killed by his people. He could not share in their joy at all. All he felt was rage towards his cousin who commanded men who did it. His cousin knew quite well about the agreement for peace. With a shocking fright to his system Adanril ran into the woods towards their meeting place. His worst fear was that the Mirial would hate him now thinking that it was his men that did it. Yes, he had troublemakers but the others wouldn't go against his words. When he was deep in the woods he called out to his beloved one. "Mirial!"
Mirial sat on a fallen tree with her eyes covered by her hair and Azaril near her with his head in her lap. The tears on her cheeks shined in the moonlight and the dress she wore was black and contrasted the soft purple of her hair. She did not raise her head when she heard Adanril call her name. Her voice was soft as she started to sing a moon elf song that was to be sung at her father's funeral.
