Adanril couldn't keep his smile off his face as he got to kiss her however it disappeared once he realized he had to go with one of her knights. He followed the night around to the outside of the tent waiting for the worst. The knight didn't seem at all too happy over the affection he shown towards to Mirial. "Yes?" he asked calmly and respectfully. No use in provoking the man or making the situation get out of hand.
He scowled at Adanril and stepped close to him, almost getting into his face. "First of all, I would like to remind you that you are a guest in our camp and hold no juristiction here. Second, That you are not welcome here, not you or any naked savage that walks into our camp. Third, I want to know just how the princess ended up in this situation. Because last we saw her majesty, she was unharmed and in her tent." The knights basically surrounded him with their hands on the swords they carried. "And don't even think of running or lying...naked boy." One said as he pressed the hilt to his back.
Adanril couldn't help but yawn as he listened to the guard with little enthusiasm. Then begin as arrogant as he was he wouldn't be able to stop himself from pushing the guards buttons and anger him. "I hold no jurisdiction even though I kept this war from continuing. That just isn't right, now is it? Just like how you can't seem to keep an eye on your Queen. Oh, and it is called a loincloth." Then with a chuckle he smiled at the guard. "I may not be welcome by you, but I am by your Queen and I believe her authority is higher then yours. If you want I can continue showing you the relationship we have?" Adanril questioned the guard with a smile ready to get hit or beat up. Wouldn't let anyone speak of his men that way, deny him seeing his love or push him around.
"I believe the question is, Why weren't you watching her!" And with that line Adanril's humor disappeared and only rage shown as he moved closer to the guard not intimidated at all. "You should show me some respect for saving your Queen so many times because you can't seem to do your jobs! You wanna know what happened? She sneaked out of her tent like she has many nights, only this time she was caught by someone other then me or one of my men. I'm so sorry I beat the hell out of the man who hurt her and ended up like this... Don't accuse me of anything if you can't even keep her safe!" he snarled the anger shown in his eyes and all his muscles were tensed. |
The knight scowled as Adanril answered ignorantly and pushed the blame back onto them. They nearly growled as they moved back from him before they started to pull their swords out. "We didn't ask you to stop the war. You're just angry you lost. And you keep your hands off our queen. I don't know what kind of magic you used to charm her but we will protect her from you." He said after Adanril nearly charged him with not doing his job. "How are we supposed to watch her when she leaves her people to come visit a freak like you!" The knight questioned as he stared the wild elf down and dared him to strike.
Another yawn escaped Adanril's lips as they pulled their swords out. Typical reaction, resort to violence to solve a conflict. With a chuckle he smiled lifelessly at the guards. "Nor did I ask you. That was an abomination and pointless. You can say we lost but who is the civilization without a King? For me though I say I won something great from this war and you won't be taking it from me because your Queen can't keep her hands of me. She was the one who kissed me, I merely returned it. You'll have to protect yourselves from her." he chuckled with a merry smile enjoying pushing Mirial's knights around. It brought him great amusement because his men never dared to do this with him.
"If you are taking about the discussions over an armistice, she was taking to my father. Though at the late hours of the night she would come see me in one of her rather revealing nightgowns. Shouldn't you of been standing guard around her tent so she couldn't of left without being noticed? My men always knew when I left. Men under the lead of a freak, such a shame. At least they don't have a commander like you." With that Adanril counldn't help but sneer at them and their pitiful swords. "Threatening an injured man, gallant. You'll win over many fair maidens hearts with that." He laughed more never loosing eye contact with the knight or moving. |
His eyes narrowed but they widened as he put his sword away and kneeled. He smiled slightly as the other knights looked behind them and saw their queen, in the sheet from her cot. The knights stayed there as Mirial started to cry and then turned back to the medical tent. Tyran, the head knight stood and smiled as they walked away. "And atleast we don't make our queen cry." They said before the knights walked away.
The medics helped her back to her bed and tended to her. "Don't let him in here. I don't want to see him right now. " She started to cry as she closed her eyes and sobbed. 'I can't believe him...telling the knights personal information about our relationship...he basically called me a slut...." The queen punched her pillow as she cried. |
Adanril knew it would hurt to see Mirial like that but he didn't chance after her. "You wanted to protect her didn't you? Now do it!... I'm in love with your Queen too much to see her get hurt anymore. Keep her safe you imbeciles." with that Adanril gave the knight a deathly glare filled with sorrow and hatred. The prince was in a foul mood, he just hurt his love to keep her away. It seemed whenever they were together she would get hurt. For him he would rather hurt her a little emotionally then physically. The thought of her death plagued his mind since the time his cousin attacked her. He could stay around no more.
It shocked Eredor to see Adanril back so soon. An injured man made his way back to the encampment through the rather rugged forest. He was extremely angry though and all the men gave him as much space as they could and soon crowded his tent once their prince was inside. Only one brave enough to enter was the King. Who soon left angered too because his son seemed to of called off the wedding and he sent Eredor to send the message to the moon elves. |
((No!!! So mean to her...))
Mirial laid there in her cot and cried as she refused to eat when they brought food into her. The medics grew worried for her when she grew quiet and looked away from them. Her knights watched him leave and smiled as they stood their guard to protect their wounded queen. She did not know of the news that would come to her but it would not help her condition. It would only worsen and endanger her life further. This added pain to her heart may even kill her if the note reached her. |
[{Got to add some conflict. Got to say it seems like it'll be all up to the Knights now.}]
Eredor slowly made his way to Mirial's encampment reluctantly, he was like their prince who could his dignity in any situation. For him, it wasn't. Walking into the enemies territory was extremely nerve wracking and the fact the marriage was being called off. Did not want to be around when he gave the queen the news. So when he entered the camp he went straight to looking for a knight |
Tyran saw the wild elf walk closer to their camp and walked over to him. "Halt. What are you doing here?" His voice was almost a growl as he looked down at the elf. The other knights looked at the interaction as the note was passed to the head knight. Mirial laid in cot unaware of the heart break that waited for her.
Eredor shuddered a little not at the fact he was practically growled but the fact it drew attention to him. "I have an urgent message for the Queen." he spoke in a calm voice even though he was nowhere near it. Oh, how he wished Adanril was regretting this greatly while he sat in his despair and he Eredor had to relay his message.
She heard Eredor's voice and smiled slightly as her hand wiped at her tears. "Let him through." Tyran nodded and stood back to let the wild elf through to see their queen. Mirial sat up in her cot and covered herself with the sheet. Her eyes went to the elf as he walked in and smiled at him. "Hello, Eredor. How are you doing?" The queen asked as she looked at him. "What's wrong?" Mirial asked as she noticed the worried look on his face and the note in his hand.
Eredor took a deep breath as he entered the tent solemn and not in any mood for conversation or speaking. His warm personality gone replaced with a cold one. With silence he just walked over to Mirial and handed her the note before leaving the tent. "Get ready to take care of your Queen." was his only warning.
The note was simple and to the point: Queen Mirial, I'm sorry to inform that the wedding to merge are two cultures has been called off. It has put you into too much danger. Your people and mine are not ready. We still desire peace though and hope you do too. The King |
Her eyes stayed on him as she took the note and opened it as he left. Mirial held the note in silence before her hands started to shake. She closed her eyes and clutched the note as she let out a harsh severe cry. The reflected her feelings of being stabbed through the heart with a knife. After screaming, she reached out for a sharp object and found a scapel. She dragged it down her arm and half way through the other before the medics stopped her. They had to strap her down to the cot as she lost all her will to live and her sanity as well.
Eredor glared at the knight understanding why Adanril didn't like them and gotten so angry. "I hope you feel happy..." he growled leaving the encampment trying to get the Queens screams out of his head. It was blood curtailing and miserable. If he could he would of ran back and kidnapped Mirial only to take her back to Adanril. All he could do was go back to the fool he called his prince. Upon entering Adanrils tent he punched the wild elf square in the jaw before leaving once more. Eredor was shaken up brutally from that scream.
Mirial had to be sedated for them to get her to stop screaming. The medics gave the note to her council and wrote another note over to the wild elves. It said:
"You have disgraced our queen and nearly killed her with heart break. It would be pointless for us to remain under armistice. But remember, after what you have done, we will show no mercy towards you. The Queen's Council. A knight delivered the note by arrow to the king and rode back to the camp. All the troops were prepared for battle in case the wild ones grew furious. |
The note was slammed down into Adanril's lap by none other then his father. "Take care of this." was all his father said before he left. Adanril read over the note knowing well his father wouldn't go to war. They didn't accept their relationship and now that he cut it off it seemed they cared. Only one infuriated by the letter was Adanril. He took mounted his stud and took off to the moon elves encampment he wanted to see the council. Would not let them turn this against his people.
The prince was greeted by soldiers with drawn swords and Tyran, who sneered at him. "What do you want?" He nearly growled as he stepped towards the mounted wild one. His fellow knights looked at the man, equally as angry at Adanril. Mirial's council walked out towards them as they were notified that Adanril was here. They looked at the man on his horse and scowled at him with much dislike. "You are not welcome here and neither are your messangers." One man said as he stood in front of him.
"I'm not as pitiful to send a messenger for matters like this. There will be no war you fools! You brought this upon yourselves..." Adanril growled as his horse pranced around underneath him nervously but the prince was still in control and the horse tried to stay calm. "You wanted Mirial and I separated, we are. How does it feel? Do you feel good about yourselves? Her heart was broken from your insolence! What are we fighting this war for? You not allowing your Queen to love someone you disapprove of? That is dishonorable and disgusting! I did nothing but follow your request, I left her alone..." he was talking to them with great disrespect looking down at them with great amounts of rage. He was not pleased about his choices and he knew very well how much pain it caused Mirial because he was going through it too.
They said nothing as they sighed and looked away. "She tried to kill herself. Do you think we feel good?"A council man said calmly as he tried to hide the tear forming in his eyes. The knights all looked away as they dropped their swords as the soldiers did, too. Tyran kneeled and looked at the ground before closing his eyes. "Please, go to her and comfort her. I can not bear her unhappiness. If you are the man to make her happy, so be it." He looked up at the wild one as the rest of the camp kneeled before him. "Please, my lord." They said in unison.
"Remember this day that is all I ask. We must all make sacrifices for the ones we care for. Now please stand I do not allow anyone to kneel before me" With that Adanril dismounted from his horse and sprinted to Mirial with the acceptance from her people. He had been keeping his composer but now he couldn't contain the tears that streamed down his cheeks. She attempted to kill herself because of him, the tears wouldn't stop. "Mirial?" he asked nervously as he entered the tent.
They stood up and watched him run to her with tears down his cheeks. The medics looked at the prince as he entered. Mirial laid in her cot but stirred as he said her name. Her eyes opened as she started to sit up and ignored the weakness in her body. She started to cry as she saw him and looked away. "Why did you come back?" The medics asked as they laid her back down. "She is weak. Mirial hasn't eaten since your conference with the knights."
Adanril shuddered as every word the medics spoke felt like a knife was stabbing into him. "I love her! Seeing her like this is hell!" he spoke in distress his emotions showing the most they ever had. Mirial was able to pull the best and worst out of him. He needed her more then he ever thought he did. So without there consent he made his way over to Mirial and held her like a porcelain doll in his arms as more tears streamed down his cheeks. He used his arms to support her weak but only desiring to have her close. "I love you Mirial. I could never call off the wedding. I just wanted your men to support what was between us. Forgive me my love." He begged acting nothing like a prince, he just wanted her back.
The medic only watched as he walked over to her and picked her up from her cot. Some tried to stop him but her doctor stopped them as Mirial grabbed his shirt in her hand. Mirial held onto him for dear life as she cried and held onto him. "Adanril...there are better ways for consent..." Her eyes closed as she spoke and laid there in his arms. She started to shake with sorrow as the tears didn't help her condition. "Was it worth hurting the relationship we had?" The queen asked him as she looked up at him. It was visable she hadn't eaten anything since he left her side but she refused to eat.
With a heartbreaking sigh Adanril pressed his lips into Mirial's forehead as he held her close while she cried because of him. "I wasn't looking for only consent Mirial. Consent would equal them stabbing me when my back was turned to them..." he spoke in a sorrowful tone as he sat back down on her cot so she ended up in his lap and he supported her weak body. "It was better then watching you die..." The Prince said bluntly. After that night, having Mirial sneaking around between their camps would be too dangerous. Then with the fact her men were going to deny him to see her, it was all he had left to resort too. He was willing to risk his own life to be with her. Would of been willing to be tortured by the moon elves if it gave him pardon to see her but he knew it would hurt in ways he didn't want to imagine. "Now please eat before I really do lose you."
