-Part One-
Jack sits at a small booth by the window in the far corner of the shop, carefully watching the people outside pass by with mild interest, his face ever expressionless.
She'll be here, he thinks to himself. I know that I will find her.
Then, as if someone had heard his thoughts, Jack spots a young girl, maybe fifteen or so, taking a seat on a nearby bench. She has long, straight, thick dark brown hair, brown eyes and square glasses atop her nose. She wears a black sweater, a long black scarf, blue jeans, and simple black sneakers.
She is very, very beautiful.
That's her, Jack thought, my new apprentice. Now, if I only new her name....
