Corey hurried out into the yard happily. He did his buisness and then came back in side. He didn't know what else to do. It could be so boring being a dog. He just began to run around the house bored.
|
Getting her stuff ready to go run some errands, she sidestepped Corey when he came whooshing in from another room, mildly amused by his antics. After she finished loading her bag, she looked around for him. "Corey, I'm going out for a little bit. I'll try to be back soon, but I don't know how long it will take," she called out, slipping on her shoes before heading for the door. |
Corey had to say this made him happy. 'Bath!' Was all he could think off. He ran to where she was and licked her leg before barking. His way of saying bye. Then he hurried off to her room and waited for her to leave. Once she was gone and he waited to make sure she didn't forget anything he transformed into his human state and took a shower happily.

Adjusting the large package that she held, she headed back to her home, safely avoiding the park path warily. Sure, it may have been unlikely for her to be attacked again, but even she knew that it was better to be safe than sorry. One her errands that morning had been to submit a report about the wolf, though she had left out the part about her almost being attacked. She had then gone to get her mail, though she hadn’t been expecting the package that they had handed her. Grumbling, she opened the door to her house, setting the large box onto the table before heading to her room, wanting to change into more comfortable clothes. Pulling out the scrunchy that bound her hair into a high ponytail, she looked around the house, wondering where her knew companion had run off to. "Corey? Corey, can you hear me," she called out. |
(I love your post!!
But I wanted them to get closer... :3) |
(( okay. Do you mean like closer as when he is still a dog? ))

|
((oh, okay then. Give me a sec to edit the post then ^^
'kay, I edited it >< )) |
(KK thanks)
---------- Corey had just been getting out of the bathroom when he heard her. He cursed and turned the light off. He turned into a dog, wet. He shook himself and hurried out of the room, barking. He ran around trying to find her. When he did, he wagged his tail and barked up at her. It'd be a really close call. One he hoped he never had to go through again. |
Hearing a bark from around her feet, she grinned before kneeling down beside him, scratching under his jaw lightly. "Glad to see me?" Clare asked jokingly, grinning at him for a moment before standing and turning her attention to the box. "What on earth could be in this thing...?" |
Corey loved the scratches she gave him. They felt so good. He barked and then watched her. Sitting by her feet. If she moved, he followed. And not because he could see up her dress if he standed close enough and at the right angle. Though he hated being a little pervert, he hadn't gotten some in a while and missed it.
|
Tearing off the tape that held the box together, she opened it only to find....another box. Though this one had an intricate design on it, a somewhat classy look that left her to believe that it was old. Having an idea about who it was from, she peered into the original box before pulling out the envelope she found in the bottom. Blinking curiously, she opened it slowly before reading the continents. "My dearest Harte, I'm afraid that I must ask something of you. I discovered this box on a recent dig. Unfortunately...it seems that there is something deeper behind this then I had originally thought...I ask you to keep this safe for me until I can come by to retrieve it...Your the only one who I can trust. Just stay safe. Love, Gabriel Harte..." Blinking for a second, she looked down to Corey, raising a slim eyebrow. "Well..I don't know what that was about, but my father asked me to take care of this...." |
Cory watched, his dog head cocked to the side. He looked at the box. He didn't like it. Almost growled at it. But he left it alone and barked when she spoke to him. She jumped up at her, wanting to be picked up. He wanted a better look at the box, but he didn't want to break it. He just hoped she didn't put the box down to pick him up. He didn't weigh that much as a dog. At least, he didn't think so.
|
Raising a slim eyebrow when he began to jump up at her, Clare grinned slightly before looking at the box in the hand and then the letter. She supposed the practical thing would either be to ignore him or set the box down, but she didn't personally like either of those ideas. Setting the letter down, Clare bend slightly to loop her arm around Corey's abdomen before lifting him up, adjusting her grip so that they would both be comfortable before examine the box. |
Cory was so happy that she hadn't put down the box, though he had been worried when she put the letter down. He looked at the box. He sniffed it, then stared. What was this box? And why was it so important? It worried him. Was this going to cause trouble for Clare? Was she in danger because now she had the box?
|
Continuing to look at the bow, she examined the wood surface of it, she traced the figures carved and painted onto the surfaces. "It certainly is pretty isn't it...But...something seems off..." she wondered out loud, lifting the box up so that she could look at the bottom, though she smiled when she did. "It's a music box," she said after a moment, lowering it down when another thing caught her attention. "It needs a key to open...I wonder why?" |
Cory barked and growled. He didn't want her to open it. Music box or not. He didn't know what could happen, and a number of things could. Especially dangerous ones. He kept barking and growling, trying to tell her not to care, not to look for a key, not to open it. But being a dog made it hard. He just hoped she got the picture...
|
Startled when Corey started to bark, she looked at him in confusion, blinking a few times as her head cleared. "Corey, what's wrong?" Clare said after a moment before pouting lightly. "You don't want me to open this, do you...." she continued, her brows furrowing slightly before they relaxed, looking back at the box. "It doesn't matter...This thing needs a key, and I don't want to risk damaging it by forcing it open," she told him after a moment, though she could stop herself from being curious. |
Cory continued to bark and growl. But stopped when she finally reasoned with herself. Though he still wasn't so sure. It bugged him. Later, he'd get rid of it. Bury it or something. That was the smartest thing to do at the moment. He snuggled into her now.
|
Smiling down at him as he snuggled into her, Clare set the music box back into its container before sing her now free hand to scratch behind his ears, smiling softly. Still, a part of her refused to leave the box alone, gently probing at her mind with hints and ideas of what could be inside. Needing to distract herself, she looked down at Corey and grinned. "So, do you wanna go outside?" |
Corey closed his doggy eyes, loving the feel of the scratch. The tip of his tongue outside his mouth. He opened his eyes and barked. He did want to go outside. Now that she mentioned it, he had to go to the bathroom.... And then he'd be hungry. He hoped she had more steak. It'd been so good!
|
"Ah, I had a feeling." Her grin widening fractionally when he barked at her question, Clare chuckled lightly before setting him down and walking over to the door. Opening it, she propped it open so that he could come back inside when he was done before heading over to her fridge, scavenging for food for both of them. |
Corey hurried out to the yard and did his buisness, before hurrying back inside. He barked, seeing her already going through the fridge. He sat down, his tail wagging and waited.
|
Leaning into the fridge a little so that she could get a better view of its contents, she pushed various food aside as she looked for something else to give him. However, after a second, she give a small shout of triumph before drawing back with the last container of steak that she had. Grinning at him, she grabbed the bowl that Corey had used earlier before filling it up with the steak and putting it into the microwave. When it had finished heat up, Clare carefully removed the bowl before putting it down in front of him. Indulging herself with a quick pet, she walked over the box and gave the letter another look, wondering exactly what her father had meant by 'she was the only one' that he could trust... |
Cory barked happily seeing the steak. He did a jump in the air, and watched her heat up to steak. When she put it down infront of him he quickly went at it. Ripping and tearing, growling and biting. Steaks were so hard to death with without a knife...
