((Alright, let us begin...))
Lexander sighed and laid his head down on the table he was currently sitting behind. Listening to the Chief outline missions was so boring… Lex knew exactly what to do, he most certainly wasn’t stupid. Missions were always the same; there really was no need for a briefing before each and every one. Go through your respective anomaly, find demons and their offspring and kill them, while attracting as little attention as possible. Lex sat up a little and cracked his neck. Easy as pie. No demon could stand up to him.
After thirty agonizingly long minutes, Lex stood up with the rest of the company, and began filing out of the large conference hall. He stretched, arching his back and smiling as he noticed the other hunters eyeing his slender, attractive frame. Lex never covered his stomach with clothing. He found it wasteful to hide beauty under cloth, and his body would definitely be considered beauty where he came from. Perfectly sculpted muscles, smooth, dark tan skin, flowing pure white hair; he was to die for, and he knew it. The last word that would come into you head when you saw him was ‘deadly’, but, unfortunately for all demons, that’s exactly what he was.
Lexander yawned as he walked slowly back to his room in the compound. He had to get his guns and other weapons before he left, but after that, he was on his own, and he couldn’t wait. Getting away from this stupid place was just what he needed right now. In fact, that’s what he needed almost all the time. He was extremely hyperactive, and running around, killing demons was the perfect exercise. He smiled and entered his room, thinking back to his childhood. It wasn’t really something he wanted to remember, but thinking back on it now just made him laugh. He grabbed his guns and shoved them into their holsters at his hips, then slung his in-case-of-emergencies sword over his back. He was ready and rearing to go.
Lex’s pace quickened considerably as he reached the anomaly research bay. His eyes began to shine as he saw the twinkling rips in space and time. He didn’t wait for any one to confirm his authorization; he knew exactly which one he was taking, though he didn’t know where it would take him. He took one deep breath and closed his eyes, then walked through the anomaly, ignoring the suggestive looks from the female scientist behind the controls.
Lexander opened his eyes on a completely different landscape. He didn’t know where or when he was, but that didn’t matter. He was here for one reason, and one reason only, and he intended to make good on his demon-hunting oath. A slight breeze blew through the deserted street he had come out of the anomaly on, and his nose twitched. ‘Demon…’ A small smile curled his lips and he began running in the direction of the smell. It wasn’t long before he caught a strong whiff of demon, and saw a mop of black hair disappear through an unblocked doorway into an abandoned building. ‘I’ve got you now…’

Azriel sat on the edge of what was left of a once human city. The buildings had already mostly crumbled to chucks of rock or dust, the once green grass and healthy trees were now flaming black remains of the world that once belonged to humans, before the demons invaded, breeding for two hundred years before they finally had a big enough number to overthrow both God and Lucifer and make the human world their new home, or at least what the other demons considered "home".
In truth, he didn't much like the world he was in, much less the time frame, or how things turned out, He liked it better when the human world wasn't so much like hell, when you could actually call the world beautiful. Call him girly and angelic, but he just didn't like the ruins of the landscape. Abandoned and dead, he liked things inhabited and alive, full of life, laughter, music, but that all faded, and all that remained were, big surprise, demons, and the few humans that were kept as slaves.
He sighed, eventually standing, about to jump off the roof as his usual way to the ground with a familiar flash or light told him that a hunter was arriving, he sighed again, only it came out as an irritated hiss. Hunters. They really pissed him off. He turned the other way and climbed down through the building, heading across the streets and barely making it towards his hideout before the hunter appeared.
He mentally cursed and rushed through a series of tunnels underground, meeting up with his older sister Hakkuu, who stopped aging at the age of ten, appearing to be a child even though she was around three thousand years old. "This is the fifth hunter they sent to die this week... They sure are persistent, don't you agree Az?"
Azriel shrugged and slipped through a whole in the wall of a tunnel and his sister followed him, going into a warm cave that was their trap for hunters, since for them it was barely warm, but for hunters or humans, it was scalding hot.

Lexander curled his lip in a snarl as he saw his prey begin to run. He knew where he was being led; demons had tons of traps set for hunters all over this place. This didn’t bother Lex in the slightest. He wasn’t bothered by these petty demon ways; they couldn’t hurt him. Lex had, for some odd reason, been born extremely resistant to pain, and that made him an ideal hunter, as he could keep fighting until he died with almost no suffering on his part. Coupled with extremely acute senses and honed battle instincts, this resistance was what had kept him alive for many years.
The landscape sped by as Lex pursued his victim through the broken down city. Judging be the emptiness of the ruins around him, there had been many hunters before him that had attempted to clean this place. Lex was sure they hadn’t succeeded; the stench of demon was too fresh to be lingering from weeks or even just days before. It took a lot of Lex’s self-control to avoid coughing into his sleeve. He hated the smell of demons. It wasn’t apparent to most humans, but to him it was quite relevant, and took days to get out of clothing.
Lexander was sure the other hunters that had been sent here were already dead; demons didn’t leave survivors, but that didn’t trouble him. He wasn’t in the same league as the other hunters the Chief would have sent. Lex was far beyond them, much stronger, much more agile, and far better suited for days in a place like this. Some people had argued that he was half-demon himself, and should be put to death, but simple DNA tests had ruled that out. They had proven one thing however; he was beyond human, though no one could figure out just what had caused the mutation in his genes.
Lex cursed under his breath as he saw his quarry disappear into an underground tunnel not far ahead. He kept running after the demon, his ears pricking up as he heard another set of footsteps joining the first. He rolled his eyes; trouble, trouble. Seems he couldn’t get a day easy. This didn’t annoy him as much as he made it seem though; fighting was his passion, and demons kept it fun.
After only a few minutes of running in this underground space, Lex noticed it getting hotter. Another small smile flashed over his features; he had seen this trick loads of times, and it was nothing to worry about. Heat didn’t bother him like it did normal humans. He just continued running until he reached a dead end, as did his prey.
“Hello there you two… I’m just going to tell you now; you won’t get out of here alive. I’m not like the others.” Lexander’s voice was low and dangerous, but had a seductive ring to it unlike any other humans. He put one hand on his hip and drew one gun with the other, letting his hand hang limply at his side as he surveyed the demons in front of him.
“Any last words?”

Azriel smirked. You wouldn't believe how many times he had heard that and ended up getting away. "Yeah. Just a few. If you lift your foot off that wire, you're going to get blown to bits." he said and laughed, holding onto his sister and turning into a shadow, easily going through cracked in the tunnels and ground to reach the surface than turned back into a solid figure, sending his sister off to the base of the demon city, where she'd be safer than drew a sword.
He waited for the hunter, his bright green eyes resembled those of a cat eying it's prey, his hearing sharp enough to be able to heart the hunter's heart beat in the tunnel below, as well as the blood rushing through his veins, and he could read his body heat from where he stood, which made it all the easier to become a hunter and know when his prey was going to come to him.
Azriel paused for a moment though. When they were in the tunnel, and the heat would be unbearable for a human, he was able to stand there as if it were a normal spring heat, and just standing there, weapon drawn, asking if they had any last words. Also, letting him know that he wasn't "like the others", which now had Azriel wondering what he meant by that.
She shrugged it off, waiting between two crumbling buildings which used to be an alley, and put on a blind fold. Yeah, he didn't have to see to kill this hunter, he'd just had to be able to smell and hear him, feel him near by, and he'd be able to bring him down easy.

Lexander scowled as the two demons dissipated into thin air. He rolled his eyes and looked to his feet where there was indeed an almost invisible wire spread across the tunnel floor. This kind of trap wasn’t quite as common as the heated tunnel, but Lex had still seen it before, and he knew what to do. He reached up for his sword, and swung at the nearest wall, carving out a large chunk of rock as if it were butter. He then placed the newly created stone on the wire in between his feet and stepped off himself, smiling as nothing happened. He began running again, faster than any human could, and was out of the tunnels in a matter of seconds.
“Run, run, as fast as you can… You can’t hide from me, you’re a dead, dead man…” Lex spoke under his breath, but he knew the demon could still hear him. Demons had wonderful ears and could smell things from miles away. Lex knew his heighten senses paled in comparison, but he didn’t need to know exactly where his prey was or how fast their heart was beating to kill them. A small smile curled his lips and he took a deep breath, readying himself to use one of his ‘secret weapons’.
Lexander opened his eyes to complete darkness. As his vision adjusted, he went over everything his prey would be sensing right now. ‘Poor thing… He’ll have no idea...’ This was true; Lex’s heartbeat and heat signature would be completely gone from that plane. Crossing over to the different planes had been a skill of Lex’s since he was quiet little. He would disappear from his current surroundings and end up in a strange copy of what he had just left, all black and white, and inhabited by strange wispy creatures, what the humans used to call ‘ghosts’. He could still see the entities on the normal plane, but they could neither see nor sense him.
Finding the demon he had been hunting was no hard task; Lex was right beside him in a few minutes. He prepared himself, then reached out a hand towards the shadowy figure, shivering as his hand passed through the demons midriff. He waited until the demon turned to face him, then jerked his hand forward and pulled the creature onto the same plane as himself. His hand shot up to the demon’s throat and held him off the ground.
“Hello again. As I said before, I’m not like the others. You can’t used your powers here; this is my turf.” Lexander grinned, revealing pearly white, slightly pointed teeth. He knew that staying in this particular plane too long would force him to change, but killing this demon wouldn’t take long, so he wasn’t concerned. A cool breeze blew through the empty landscape, ruffling his long hair. “Are you ready to die?”

Azriel scoffed, once again turning to shadow and freeing himself. "Wrong, murderer, this is our 'turf', and you just pissed .us .off..." he said, turning into almost a thousand clones, all of them surrounding the hunter. They were flesh and blood just like the normal demon, so it would be hard to tell which was the right one, especially when they all said the same thing at the same time and did the same actions at the same time.
Azriel got into battle position with his sword, not caring if this human wasn't like the rest, he'd die all the same. All he had to do was unattach that head from his pretty little neck, and he'd be gone. Simple as that. Or at least it seemed that way to him, than again he was still considered young and reckless amongst his people, so to his foolish optimistic mind, this was going to be easier than pie.

Lexander raised an eyebrow, and his mouth curled into a smirk. “You’re so amusing… How old are you, one hundred?” He laughed at his own joke, then pulled a gun out of it’s holster. It was easy for his eyes to pick out the real demon, and, once they did, he aimed his gun at his stomach. “I don’t want to kill you yet, but you’ll be out for a while. I want to know why you’re able to function so well in this plane.” Lex looked down at his hands and his smile faltered; his nails were beginning to elongate, and tiny scales were forming around his fingertips. This plane was not good for humans, or, near humans.
There was a muffled bang as Lexander pulled the trigger, and a strange whooshing noise as all the demon’s clones dissipated. After carefully stowing his gun back where it belonged, Lex walked up to the now unconscious demon. He knelt beside the prone form and began speaking in a strange language; a sealing spell, to keep the demon asleep. He then slung the thing over his shoulder and released his grip on that world, staggering slightly as the real world came back into sharp focus. “Okay… We need to find somewhere to stay now…”
((Sorry, it's kinda short. I haven't slept in a long time...))

Alright, I'll make it longer and add more detail. I was just a little out of it then.

He then slung the thing over his shoulder and released his grip on that world, staggering slightly as the real world came back into sharp focus. “Okay… We need to find somewhere to stay now…”
Lex began walking, not bothering to find somewhere quickly. He could see fine in the dark, so that wasn’t really a problem. Eventually he found a large, brick building that wasn’t completely destroyed and peered inside, smiling a little as he saw a raggedy old sofa in one corner. He walked over to it and laid the demon down, then sat on the floor against the wall. He pulled a small sphere out of his pocket, and, after running his finger over it a few times, he threw it at the ground, and a blue fire popped into existence. It needed no sustenance, so Lex just sat in front of it, waiting for the demon to awaken.
After several long hours, Lex looked over at his captive to see his eyes opening slowly. “Good evening, sleepy head. You can’t use any powers, that spirit-shot was in exactly the right place. And the only way you can get them back is to have me do it, so don’t try to run. I just want to talk.” He turned slightly to face the demon, hoping that he wouldn’t be too stubborn. “What is your name? I’d like to have something to call you.”
((There we go! I hope this is better. :3 ))

Azriel glared at him but said nothing, closing his eyes and pretending to fall asleep again. He was going to catch the demon hunter off guard and than Azriel was going to use his claws to take him down. He wasn't fond of hunters, he'd rather be killing them than sitting down and having tea with them, so to speak.
Thinking back to his sister he wondered if she'd be ok. Not that he would openly ask that if she were being chased by a demon, he knew no hunter, no matter how strong, could not defeat her. Almost ten died at her hands, slowly, and painfully. All the demons nearby came to watch, feeding off their pain and some going close enough to get a drop of blood from them bu than getting away before she could pull out her knives.
Yeah, honestly, right now, he only needed to worry about himself.
[[ sorry so short going to the store.]]

Lexander furrowed his eyebrows when the demon didn’t say anything, but didn’t bother to see if he was really asleep. He wasn’t worried; no matter how reckless this demon was, he was no different than the hundreds of others he had killed in all the wars he had fought in. Though…he did have the ability to do some serious damage… Lex frowned and touched one end of the huge scar across his back. Yes, demons could be dangerous, but he didn’t think this particular one would be an issue.
After several more minutes, Lex leaned his head against the wall behind him and attempted to sleep. He wasn’t sure if he could; sleeping in this world was always so hard, especially with his already exceptionally apparent insomnia. It was a little while before he drifted into a very light sleep. Every now and then his fingertips would twitch, but, other than that, he stayed very still and silent, his light breathing the only sound that could be heard in this desolate landscape.
((Mine is short too, sorry. I just can't think right now. ))

Azriel waited until he felt his power coming back than slowly began to turn to shadow, weightless, soundless, and went through the roof and rushed off through the city, going to a hiding place and pulling a few boulders in front of him, his sisters and brothers were already there and were murmuring amongst themselves before he came in.
"Where have you been?! Was that hunter too much for you or did you just do something incredibly stupid?!" Hakkuu yelled at him.
Azriel held up his hands in defeat. "I got captured than escaped, and now kind of wondering If I'll end up being found aga---"
A clapping sound echoed through the city as Hakkuu slapped him. "YOU BETTER NOT END UP LEADING HIM HERE OR I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" she yelled.

Lexander woke suddenly, and rolled his eyes as he saw that the demon was gone. This was quite annoying, and he wasn’t really sure how to handle it. Yes, it was strange how that particular demon had acted in the other plane, but that wasn’t really that relevant to anyone but him and that demon. He pushed these thoughts aside and stood up, then plunged his hand into his fire and plucked out the little bead that kept it going. The fire went out immediately, and he left the old building.
Lex wondered what time it was, but didn’t bother to look. He supposed it was late at night, but, seeing as this world was always in a murky twilight, he couldn’t really tell. He just kept walking until he came to a small camp of some sorts, populated by about five demons. He sighed, and began his eradication, finishing the five within the hour. When he was finished and had cleaned the mess, he laid against another wall and fell back to sleep, hoping that this time, he would stay this way for a little while longer.
