"Hey. I heard about what happened with your friend." she said.

"Yeah, that's the thing about war I hate, it makes people lose the ones they care about, in an army everyone works together, so it's like a family in a way." he says. "Me and him basically grew up together, I want to find out who did it, I want to know if he died a hero, fighting for his cause, even if it happens to be a useless century long war."

"I know who killed him. It was one of my brother's friends. He's like you. Both a warrior and a scout." she said.

"Ask him how he died next time you see him, please make sure that he dide the way he wanted to, my friend always told me he wanted to go fighting for a cause, pitty it's this damned war." he says to her. "I want to make sure that he got his wish."

"Alright. I will. And I'm sorry that he did die. Nobody should have to." she said.

"Yeah, thanks, I do have to tell you something though." he says looking for the right words to do it. "I know how killed the brother that you lost."

"What?! Who?!" she asked. This was something she needed to know.

"He's already dead, but it was my distant twin, I'm being serious, I saw it happen, we look nothing alike except the hair, and I saw the whole thing, until your brother knocked me out, him and my twin fought and it ended up with your brothering dying, I was unconscious for a few days from the blow your brother gave me so I couldn't stop my twin from killing him, I'm sorry, I didn't know how to tell you the truth, if I weren't unconscious I would have saved your brother, I swear I would have" he was afraid that he'd told her at the wrong time. "Your brother really died too young, if I could I'd trade places with him to save him."

Tears came to her eyes and she didn't stop them from falling. Though she did turn away from him so that he wouldn't see. "Thanks for telling me. I really appreciate it." she told him. "He died protecting me, which is how I know he wanted to go. He would have done anything for me."

"That's right, now I remember, that's one of the things at that time when I was having second thoughts, and I hesitated my strike, and that's when your brother knocked me out, I'm am sorry. he said, wanting to hug her and comfort her, but not knowing how.

"It's fine. It wasn't your fault." she told him.

"But I should have stopped the operation, aid we couldn't find, something, that's when I knew that I had to do something about this war, it took your brother, my father, and now too many of my friends, I didn't even go to his burial today, I didn't want that to be my last memory of him." he says. He collapsed in the sand and laid there. "Not a day goes by when I wish I could have stopped my twin, I'm the one who practically put the hatred into you, I'm the one that had asked my twin to help me out."

She sat down next to him on the sand. "It's alright. It wasn't your fault. You didn't know better." she said.

"Thanks for being so forgiving." he says. "It is still one of the things that keeps me up, every soldier is haunted by things they aren't proud of doing. That's why I come here, away from the violence, it helps me to forget about those things at least for the time I'm here." He does start to forget. "And eventually the guilt in those things fades, sometimes I wish I could just start a new life knowing what I do now."

"I understand." she said, not knowing what else to say.

"You know, it's funny, the ocean almost sounds as if it's talking." he says, changing the topic, to distract his thoughts as well.

"Yeah. That's why I like being out here. It's peaceful." she said.

"Yeah, makes me forget everything I need to, I could just lay her and listen to it all the time, I would but I can't, but once this war is over, hopefully you and I can." he says. He sits up, excitedly. "I know how to end this, but its going to be risky, we'll have to set up your father and my Commander, It should work right if we do it right, want to try it?"

"yeah. Anything to end this war. I don't want anybody else to end up dead, whether it is someone we know or not." she said.

He laughed at her eagerness to do something she didn't beieve in before. "Okay, we lead them to the same room, and we look them in, no weapons, until they come up with an agreement, if they can come up with a treaty, we can end the war, and I'm sure your father wants this place to be safe for you, so he will come, and my commander thinks of me as a son, so you trick your father into going with you to eat at a quiet restaurant, than I get my commander there, they won't bring weapons out of proper adiquit, and then we have them talk and form a treaty, since no one knows what this war started over we can end it easily." he explains.

"That sounds like a very good plan. Though I'm sure that doesn't think they need weapons to kill each other." she said.

"That's the point, they could find other ways of killing each other, but they'd have to listen to each other, to at least find the eaknesses in each other they need, so they will have to at least talk, and I hope that they make a treaty, I'd love for this damned war to be over, even if by an uncanny truce, that would be prefered to killing all of one kind, and then the world would be unbalanced." he said smilnig at his thought processes sense.

"That's a good point. Alright. We can try." she said. Though she was still sure it wasn't going to work.

"And I know ways of making things go my way, I can keep them from killing each other, I've got the room set up already, I did that last night before I went back to bed, I've got many tricks hidden inside, including if it must be done, one way of killing each of them." he says. "But I hope I don't have to use that, and if they see that we're friends they'll get to making a treaty, I'm sure that yur father doesn;t want you to feel lonely, and wants you to make friends, and if we must, we make it seem like more than friendship, just until or purpose is fullfilled, if you don't mind doing that of course, nothing to bad, jut holding hands and cuddling on a chair in the same room, out of the tricks I have set up, just to make them see that peace btween our kinds is possible."

She blushed slightly at that. "Alright. That may work. I hope things will work out alright. I really want for this war to end sometime soon." she said. "My father will make a treaty if your commander agrees."
