Bio:

Lucius Malfoy (b. 1954) was a pure-blood wizard, and son of Abraxas Malfoy and his wife. He was also the husband of Narcissa Black, and the father of Draco Malfoy. Lucius was an aristocratic wizard who believed strongly in notions of blood purity, and thus joined the Death Eaters and participated in the First Wizarding War. After Lord Voldemort's first defeat, Lucius managed to avoid imprisonment by claiming that he had been acting under the Imperius Curse. He and his family remained members of the social elite, though Lucius continued to demonstrate his prejudice. He attempted to sabotage Arthur Weasley's career by slipping Arthur's daughter an old school diary of Tom Riddle's, opening the Chamber of Secrets in 1992, and in 1994, he participated in the humiliation of a Muggle family after the Quidditch World Cup. When Voldemort returned, Lucius once again served him as a Death Eater, leading the efforts to obtain the prophecy Voldemort sought. In the battle that ensued, the prophecy was destroyed, and Lucius and his comrades were imprisoned in Azkaban in 1996. Although Voldemort broke them out of prison in 1997, he was displeased with Lucius for his failure and treated the Malfoys with disdain. Lucius and his family defected at the end of the Second Wizarding War and were thus pardoned for their crimes after Voldemort's final defeat. He and Narcissa later had a grandson, Scorpius Malfoy, after Draco married Astoria Greengrass.

Severus Snape was born 9 January, 1960 to Eileen Prince, a pure-blood witch,[1] and Tobias Snape, a Muggle,[1] making him a half-blood wizard. Ashamed of his Muggle father, Severus began to identify with his mother's family and created a secret nickname from his mother's maiden name, calling himself "the Half Blood Prince." It is implied that Severus was a loner and was a victim of neglect by his parents. This neglect (and possible physical and/or verbal abuse by his father) contributed to Severus' unpleasant personality and cruel behaviour in his adulthood.

Severus' parents lived in a Muggle town near a river, at a place called Spinner's End. This was Severus' home throughout his years at Hogwarts. Spinner's End is an area of poverty, with cobbled streets, broken street lamps, disused factories and dilapidated houses. Lily Evans and her family likely lived in the same town, close to Spinner's End. After watching her for some time, Severus realised she was a witch. He made contact with her and they became good friends. It appears that this was when Severus began to develop a romantic interest in Lily, which was never returned though she regarded him as a friend. During this time he also developed a strong enmity towards her sister, Petunia. This was most likely because she was a Muggle, but may also be because she made disparaging comments about his clothes and residence.

Information from Snape's own memories of his first meetings with Lily suggests that he was an awkward child who had difficulty making friends. Even when it was important to him to make a good impression he always seemed to have trouble doing so. Snape's father did not seem to approve of magic, while Severus expressed a dislike for Muggles, even though, or perhaps because, his father was one. The memories show that both he and Lily could perform wandless magic before attending Hogwarts.

Lucius walked around the corner and saw Severus, sitting at a table in a diner. He walked in, and smirked. "Well, well, well, Severus. Seems you let loose sometimes, too?" Lucius sat down in front of the dark professor and ordered a black coffee with three sugars. "Have you seen Draco? He seemed to have run off again," he asked, looking around the diner.

"I wouldn't know where Draco is or anyone else outside of Hogwarts. What is your business, Lucius?" Snape asked sitting at the table with his hot tea in front of him.

Lucius took out a gem and tossed it to Snape. "There's a message from him, he asked me to give it to you," Lucius stood up and turned, ready to walk out. He stopped, grabbed his coffee, and left, walking down the street of London.
