Slightly disappointed she sighed and spoke, "What are your ideas on what we can do? I normal was walking from place to place so I really don't have any good ideas, but I can make you pants out of leaves!"

jahero looked at her funny, "how about you show me where you grew up at"

"Where I grew up? As in where my family is?" Jewel looked slightly confused buy this but it was more the fact that she didn't want to see her old home. It'd bring back to many memories. "Okay, it's over that way. But there aren't any woods around it so you can't really go as a wolf. I had to walk a mile before I got into the woods when I left." She had pointed east and was still thinking about why he thought seeing her old home was a good idea.

Jshero nodded and said "i'll be back" he took off back home at high speeds and grabbed some clothing than ran back to jewel. it took him a whole ten minutes to get there and back. " We can ride up to the end of the woods then ill change" he said with a mouth full of clothing

"Okay." she wispered slightly unsure of what was going to happen once she saw her home again. "It won't take us long to get to the edge of the woods, and Jahero if I get sorta upset when I see my house just ignore me." She walked over to him and pulled the clothes out of his mouth. "I can hold them for you, I don't want your clothes to be all soggy."

he nodded and layed down so she could ride on his back he was hoping that he would love her home as much as she did his but at the looks of it, it doesnt seem that way he thought.

"You know that I don't technically live at my home anymore, right?" She asked stepping onto him. "I've been sleeping on the ground for a few years. They probably don't even care that I'm gone, so...."

Jahero growled "dont say things like that, theres nothing more important than family." jahero looked up at her, than back to the front. he stood and started walkin forward towards the end of the woods

Jewel bit her lip and looked down. "I know, but your family was different. They cared about you and not just because you're their kid." She was talking really quietly. "Jahero, what if they tell me to go away and never come back again? Or what if they yell at me? Or...what if they ignore me like they used to? You're not going to make me stay are you?"

"No, your home is with me now. but it doesnt hurt to try jewel. people change and its never to late to help them change ethier. Im there for you, im not going anywhere ok" jahero said with a calm look and a smile

"Okay, what if they say they missed me? Or just that they were worried? What do I say then? I can't got back to school and act like a normal kid again. It just wouldn't work. I guess it'd be nice to have somewhere to go if I needed to. A house is so enclosed..." She gently twirled his fur around her fingers. "I'm glad that you're here, and I can count on you."

Jahero nodded as they reached the end of the woods. he let her off and gentel grab the clothing she was holdn for him and went into the woods a little bit to transform. he came ok about five minutes later. " How do i look?" he asked jewel. he was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt with an over jacket. he carryed a pair of sunglasses in his right pocket and a wallit in the back right pocket

"Very nice." She had been pulling her hair up in a pony because it had been starting to curl and she couldn't stand it. Jewel looked him over and stepped closer to his side. Her hands were shaking again as she stood there. "I can't do it. Jahero, I'm going to have a panic attack!" She took his hand and showed him how much she was shaking. "I can't make it stop!"

Jahero held her hand frimly to help her. He pushed her closer to him to help her calm down, and then they started walking into town "See its not so bad" he said with a grin " im right here jewel, im right here" jahero said given jewel a smile

After they had walked for what seemed like ages, (about seven minutes), Jewel had stopped shaking a bit. It wasn't so bad right where they were. Home to her really was the town and the people her family didn't matter that much. At least not while they were walking. Jewel looked up at him and relaxed a bit. "I can do this." She mumbled turning down a small side street. "This is it." She mumbled looking up at the largest(by far) house in the town. Sure it was nice and most people would find it stupid that she liked the woods better but it was true she did. The house was so large that it had four different entrances. Her room was near the fourth one which was around back. Mostly her parents never saw her unless it was something really important, and every so often she would eat dinner with them.

"Umm, should I go to the front door? Or go around back?" She looked away from the house and to Jahero. All of her trust was in him. This would be a good idea. He had to be right.

"Go on throught the front door ok, let them know there daughter is alive and well. " jahero again gave her a large grin. he would be with her if it killed him. he wanted to help her so much but all he could say where simple things but in the end they would be big

Jewel nodded and knocked on the front door. Her mother was the one to open it. A tall slim bleach blonde with wavy hair and the same face as Jewel's. The blonde didn't look up from buttoning her jacket. "Mom? Where are you going?" She asked quietly glancing to Jahero. Her mother looked up wide eyed and hugged her daughter. "I was going to look for you. That's what I've done everyday since you left. Come in please." Jewel stepped into the house pulling Jahero with her. "Who are you? I've never seen you in town before. I'm Ms. Richmond. Jewel's mother."

"Im...nott from around here, but the names jahero, jahero Heamorea and its lovely meeting you Ms Richmon" Jahero shook her hand and than stood next to jewel. They never talked about who he was or what he was going to tell her parents. Well he thought, i guess ill just go with it

"Come sit!" She motioned for them to sit on the couch across from a soft brown chair. Jewel followed her mothers orders and sat on the couch. "Jahero is a wonderful name. How far are you from here? Did Jewel manage to find you or did you find her? Is she being nice to you?"

"Thank you " jahero said as he sat down nexts to jewel " my home is about 20miles away from here i would think but im unsure" jahero said trying not to sound like he lives in a cave with a pack of wolves. " And i found Jewel, she was well...." jahero didnt want to worry her mother but he didnt know what to say so he looked at jewel for a little help. " but he went on, shes been really nice to me" he said looking back at her mom with a smile

"He was very nice to me so I couldn't help but be nice back. I was in a difficult situation when he found me. I guess you could say he kinda saved my life." Jewel smiled leaning against Jahero. "That's good to know that there's someone watching out for you." Her mother said quietly and smiled at the two of then. "Where's dad?" Jewel asked quietly. "I don't know." Mrs. Richmon looked away from her daughter and frowned slightly. "He left a while ago." Quickly she thought of a topic change. "Do you live with your family Jahero?"

" I live in a an adopted family Ms.Richmon. We are many who come together to live the best we can" he spoke boldly but soft and kind. he was glad that coming to her home was ok and now as evil as she had thought it woulld be.

"Why did he leave? When did he leave? Mom, why are you changing the subject?" Jewel glanced at Jahero for a moment. Mrs. Richmon didn't say anything back to her daughter. "That's lovely Jahero. I've always admired the families made by different types of people." She smiled at Jahero blocking out her daughters annoyed and confused face. "I'm going to get changed. I'm not sitting here and waiting for an answer I'll never get. I'll figure it out for myself." Jewel stood and walked quickly from the room.

Jahero stood when she stood but then slowly say slowly sat down again and looked at MS. Richmon. "What reallt happened to your husband Ms. Richmon" Jahero looked at her with a straight face

"He left when I started to worry about where Jewel went. And he never came back. He packed his things and left me here. I haven't heard from him in a year and a half." She looked away from Jahero and stood. "I'll go have the cook start lunch. You should probably go find Jewel. She won't want to talk to me."

Jewel was in her old bedroom and had changed into gray sweatpants and a black tank top. She also had packed her bag with two other outfits. There was no way she was staying with her mother.
