Thought we could start with basic profiles seeing as my character will be an OC.

(Ok I'll add an OC as a side character, only if I need her though. It helps to have an extra and then I can write more. So who did you want to be pair'd up with? Draco or what?)

House: Slytherin
Appearance:
Personality: Nice, kind, sometimes mean and/or protective. She can be the one you always want to learn from or depend on, she was raised by her rich orphan parents and got anything they would give her wether or not she wanted it. She loves alot of things like helping, cooking, reading, writing, dreaming, drawing, etc. She hates spiders unless they are jiant mutant spiders or such.

House: Ravenclaw
Personality: Quite the shy bookworm, he grew up as a mudblood but had always been more interested in the wizarding side of his family. He can be loud when he wants to be but this is on rare occasions, and he finds it hard to open up to others. He has always been the top of his class, and this year has been no different as he's been elected head of the class year in Ravenclaw.

(I was thinking maybe they are set up in maybe a separate set of dorms in Hogwarts with the head of each house and this way they are stuck together? Let me know if you have any other ideas or even better ones!)

Jacob didn't know what this year at Hogwarts would hold for him, but it would be in the least interesting, he sat on the train now on his way to the school. He was in the nicest cabin out of the whole train, this was held especially for the students that were the head of each house. Jacob was the first of the heads to even care to stop in the cabin, most likely because they were hanging out with their friends.

Jacob wished that was him, but truthfully the only friend he really had was his cat Rupert who sat beside him watching the trees go by. It wasn't that Jacob didn't want any friends, it was because he spent more time studying than socializing, sure somedays it was lonely but it got him to where he was now, the head of Ravenclaw.

(I'm fine with the plot *mucnhes on tuna sandwich*)

Kia sighed looking around for a place to sit though it seemed like forever when the train was moving and all the seats were filled, she was wondering if she should just stand up and wait until they got there. 'Some magic train, it can't even create more room for people who don't want to stand' Kia thought to herself. She walked past a cart noticing a boy and his cat were sitting alone and so she decided to go in and sit across from the boy.

Jacob was minding his own business when a girl he didn't recognize sat beside him, this made him nervous but also made him happy, he was hoping to meet new people this year. "Oh, hi." he said offering her a smile. She was clearly Slytherin so he wasn't sure what the outcome of this conversation would be, but she seemed nice enough... besides not all Slytherin students were mean. "Are you the head of your department this year?"

"Hm? Oh yea I am, I'm Kia Silver. And you are?" She asked as her pet snake came from wrapped around her neck to her arm which she was petting. She didn't have much of an additude but didn't think there was a time right now to have an additude. Her pet hissed "Calm down Ankh" an ankh was the symbol in eygptian history that spoke about the afterlife, new life, and the taking of life.

Rupert, Jacob's cat, didn't like Kia's snake, it's fur immediately stood up on its back, instead of becoming vicious it worked its way into Jacob's arms, hoping he'd protect him. Truthfully Jacob was just as scared as the cat, but he would try his best not to let it on, it would be embarrassing, and he was trying his best to make a fresh new start.

"Jacob Rose," he said slightly tight lipped, he was breathing heavily underneath but he was trying not to show it, he kept his eye on the snake hoping it wouldn't come out and snap at him. It then struck him how interesting the snake's name was, "That's an intriguing name," he said out loud in a thoughtful manner.

(Just wondering how Draco will work into this later on?)

(Trust me I'll get him in it, I have an idea since he used to be one of my fav's, used to be though)

"Thank you, I found him in eygpt along time ago when I was little. My father allowed me to keep him, since he followed me home." Kia spoke and then they were interupted by someone opening the door, "Kia! There you are, come on. I want you to meet some people" Malfoy spoke noticing the kid but ignored him and his cat. Just then Ankh, Kia's pet snake snapped at Draco and he fell backwards. Kia stood up and looked out to Malfoy, "You know, you should be in here too. Oh wait, that's right, your family is losing it's power. I have no reason to speak to you nor do I care what you say or do. Since your father's popularity is going down in the social class rank I have no reason to come in contact with you nor the other way around Malfoy" Kia wasn't about to let Draco tell her what to do when her family was in a higher power than his though he truly didn't like that, he stood up pressing his wand against her throat. "Go on, use it. I dare you even try to attempt it" "Don't push me" "You failed last time and you know you did" Kia spoke getting into the conversation and hardly showing much fear, though she did fear for other's lives more than her own so she hoped no one would come around into the view in case she decided to use magic too.

Jacob was very interested in her story, even though he didn't like snakes at all, he had always wanted to travel somewhere as Egypt. Unfortunately his family never had the funds to travel across the world. Jacob first jumped at the fact that another student burst through the door suddenly, but even more so when the snake snapped at him. He wondered who it was that could cause such a ruckus with an animal, he studied the figure that entered the room, he looked very familiar, at which Jacob thought he must be popular. His name somehow escaped him, as he sat petting Rupert to calm him.

It suddenly hit him, Malfoy. The family name was known throughout the whole school, and as Kia said, they were declining in popularity, before this circumstance they were one of the most proud families. The conversation turned for the worst, next thing Jacob knew a wand was out, and he knew it meant trouble.

He awkwardly stood up, not sure of what to do, but he had to say something, "Can't we just... relax?" he asked nervously, he secretly held his hand on his wand ready to use for protection if needed, Jacob certainly had the skill.

Malfoy looked like he would blow any time at that moment but put his wand down and Kia said "Leave" in a very cold voice which meant he better of left now than not live afterwards. Malfoy left and went to sulk while Kia closed the door and sat down once again proping her feet up on half of the other seat. "Sorry about that" Kia spoke to Jacob. "I knew he wouldn't use it on me, he knows how much rumors can hurt his reputation." Kia added smiling.

Jacob sat down completely exhausted from the whole ordeal, this was a close call and he couldn't understand how the girl Kia could take it so easily without even being scared one bit. It wasn't that he found Draco to be a villain, it just seemed very serious and clearly he had temper problems. He exhaled letting all his worry escape through his mouth without a word.

"That is true," he said quietly, although her use of words were malicious she did win the fight, "Words can often be more powerful than intimidation."

Kia nodded playing with her pet Ahnk "So what's your talent?" Kia asked watching Ahnk slither around her arm and to her neck resting there.

Jacob coughed, "Talent?" he asked awkwardly, sure he knew that he was smart, but he didn't really find that he had a specific talent in his roster. "I am the top of my class... that's about it.... I guess I haven't found my niche." Truthfully Jacob was having a hard time finding one thing he was interested in, he often drifted from subject to subject finding nearly everything interesting in its own right.

"By the looks of your snake... I could guess yours." this was an assumption on his part but he knew Slytherine's were able to communicate with snakes.

(one reply and off to bed)

"Not really, my talent or more like my main talent is not my pet, this used to be an old friend of mine that before he died turned himself into a snake forever so he understands me as I do him. My main talent besides knowledge on the history of magic and it's past is most likely wandless magic. I have a wand but I refuse to use it since I don't need it and I never say my spells out loud. It's pointless to say a spell out loud in front of your enemy when they could hear it and beat you that way." Kia stopped talking realizing she added more than she had too.

Jacob listened to her story, slightly fascinated but more out of concern, he couldn't wrap his head around the idea that the snake had been a person before, and not only that but her friend. "That is truly tragic," he said without thinking, which it was the truth to him at least.

He listened to the rest of her explanation, and found her to be obviously more intelligent than the average student, "That's a really great observation, a lot of wizards don't realize that." Jacob knew this to be true but he had never practiced it, he wasn't one to use it for duelling, or had he really ever been in a position to want to hurt someone, except for what just had happened prior.

"It's not as easy as you'd think though, takes alot of concentration and focus and patience at that. The three things that I hardly ever have it seems." Kia replied. "So what about you?" Kia added looking at him.

Jacob nodded, as he listened to her, he could clearly see how she had been chosen as a head, and it was nice to see that she was so modest, which he did not expect from a Slytherin.

He paused for a moment thinking of how he should answer, and as always he told the truth, "I'm not really sure at the moment... I'm interested in so many things, its hard to choose, or to focus in on one, I guess that's what I want to find out this year."

"Ah, interesting." Kia spoke and felt the train come to an abrupt stop and then get freezing cold. "The hell!?" Kia spoke through chattery teeth a bit. Ahnk went inside her outfit to stay warm, snakes could die in the cold easily.

Jacob didn't expect the sudden stop in the slightest as he flew forward, he tried his best to catch Rupert before he fell to the ground. Once he managed to situate himself back on the seat an overwhelming cold feeling filled the compartment, at this Rupert nearly dove into Jacob's sweater.

"This... is peculiar..." Jacob said unsteadily as he tried to control Rupert who was clawing inside his sweater.
