Cade grabbed onto Katie's foot with his feet and grinned. "I'll have a chocolate cake, with dark chocolate frosting," he smiled. "Oh, and a hot cocoa, with whipped cream." He looked to Katie and smiled softly.

Katie grinned and moved her foot from between his and put both her feet on his lap, technically using him as a foot rest." Got enough sugar with your meal or do you wanna add a shake before she leaves?" She said, sticking her tongue out at him and putting her menu at the end of the table. She slid on her jacket and buttoned it up from being cold." You do realize i'm probably going to taste test all your food."She smiled.
---------- Ace nodded." Theres a nice little Cafe next door that Eve and Dawn own. Wanna go?" He asked, his hand still out for her to take. |
Cade grinned, took her shoes off, and tickled her feet. "I'm getting the shake later so it doesn't melt," he teased, being completely honest.

Katie giggled."Stop it!" She laughed, putting her feet back on the floor and then reaching her hand under the table and grabbing her shoes from him. She slid them back on and brushed her bangs out of her face."Fine, I call taking a sip." She said, leaning forwards a little and taking his hand. She looked down at herself and realized she was a wreck from the lake water, she was filthy." Can I use your shower at your house? I doubt you want to hug anyone that looks this bad." She said, wrinkling her nose.

Cade leaned forward and stared her dead in the eye. "I would hug you, even if you were covered in puke, snot, and saliva," he said, then leaned forward more, to kiss her. "Remember, I love you."

"I love you too but if you were covered in puke I'd rather have you bath first before I hugged you." She grinned."But seriously, can I take a shower later?" She pouted. She kissed back and took both his hands.

"I....I......I guess i so." LEvana said to him in a barely audable voice as she took his hand gently, not squeezing it or making it seem like her hand was in his. She bite her bottom lip slightly as she followed him out her shop, when he was on the other side of the door way and she was still inside, she stopped in her tracks and looked out. Her face was pale as she stood there, looking at him and the world that was behind him, unable to bring her self to move at all.

Eve nodded at the two, giggling at their cuteness and wrote down their orders. "Once their done ill bring them right out." As she walked back to the kitchen she elbowed Dawn lightly as she talked with Eli. She knew that her twin liked him a bit and was happy they were finally talking. The dark haired neko got the cake from the giant fridge and quickly made a hot cocoa, giving it a generous dollop of whipe cream, just like Cade liked it. Grabbing one of the peice of pumpking pie she put it on the tray and poured the sweat tea. "That should do it." Eve said to herself as she carried the tray or food like a pro and walked it over to their table. "Here you go guys." she said with a smile and placed the items on the table. "Need anything else dont hesitate to ask.

Harlin leaned his head on his hand and watched Eve bustle around taking orders. She was pretty cute he had to admit. The young man watched the dark haired female run back and forth, he chuckled softly to himself. He felt a soft elbow in his ribs and looked to Eilonwy. She stuck her tongue out with him and he just laughed. Harlin just shook his head and stared down at the counter and shook his head. "Oh my," he laughed.

Once Eve finished placing everything on Cade and Katies table she made her way back over to the counter and went behind it. Smiling at Harlin she leaned over the counter infront of him. "Would you fancy anything else, Monsieur?" She asked, using a french accent she had learned from her mother many years ago. She spoke fluent french, yet found it quite useless here. Flipping her hair out of her face the neko smiled.

Eli smiled and said, "Yes but my name is Eli, if you dont know it already." He looked up at her and asked, "And yours is?" He wanted to talk to someone so he didnt look like a creeper. And starting conversations with starters like, whats your name, how are you, was always a good place to start.

Harlin was a bit surprised when he suddenly saw Eve infrotn of him. A small grin formed on his face. "Nawh, you've been working too hard. Take a break," he answered softly with a laugh,"Though I can't make you. I don't run the show here." He removed his hand from his chin and rested his elbows on the counter. Harlin's teal eyes sparkled as he thought of an idea, perhaps he would ask her later. "Since business is booming, what will you need soon that I can plan for you?" he asked softly brushing a few of the white strands of hair from his eyes.
Eilonwy noticed that Harlin was trying to put the moves on Eve, so she figured it be best if she leave them alone. "I'm going to head out for a bit," she said softly to him as she slid off her seat. She smiled at him then went and walked around town for a bit. Once she was outside Ellie found a cat and lightly knelt down and started petting it. |
Jake slowly walked up too the cafe "oh boy" he said as he walked in and he remembered he wasn't good in crowds

Eilonwy looked up at the sound of someone's voice. Her eyes followed him as he went inside. She wasn't quite sure if she had ever met him before. The blonde shrugged and returned to petting the cat. he was good enough company for now. Perhaps she would enter the cafe a bit later and see how her friend was making out inside.

Dawn blushed, of course she knew who he was, and she didnt expect him to know her. She was a little nobody. "Im Dawn...Its nice to meet you Eli." She said holding her hand out to shake his. She had noticed him in town now and then, and always found him a bit cute. Poor little Dawn was too shy to ever talk to him, no matter how many times Eve told her to take a chance.
Eve looked up as she saw the new arrival and smiled at him. "Take a seat and Dawn will be with you." She called over and turned her eyes back to Harlin. "You know i cant do that, at least not now. Its way too busy." The neko ran her fingers through her hair as she thought of the supplies she would need. "Hmm...well i am running low on strawberries for my strawberry cheesecake.." She mumbled to herself. "And i need some more pumpkins as you know." Eve said with a chuckle and reached out, tucking his hair behind his ear to keep it out of his face. A soft smile spread on her face. |
Harlin rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at her. He heard Eilonwy say she would leave he hoped she would stay close by. It could be dangerous out there for her. "I may be busy, but I still manage to take a break," he teased. The white haired demon watched as she ran a hand threw her dark hair. He took a mental note knowing that he would have strawberries ready soon, but he could always speed up that process and get them ready sooner. "Sure of course I can get you pumpkins tomorrow and strawberries should be ready for the next couple days," he answered with a grin. Harlin was surprised when she brushed the hair behind his ear and blushed lightly. He smiled back at her his eyes a glow with a slight embarrassment mixed with joy. "How were the coffee beans last time? Good, or should I mix them up a little?" he asked.

Eve smiled at the blush on his face and her own eyes returned a joyful glow, looking like rubies. "They were perfect actually." She said with a chuckle, Harlin always gave her great product, and she never had any complaints. "As per usual." The neko winked and started using a rag to dry some glasses Dawn had washed before. "You know i like to keep busy...but maybe ill shut the cafe down for one day." Biting her lip she thought for a moment. "Dawn wouldnt mind..and it'd be nice to relax for once.." Letting the thought rattle around in her brain a bit the neko looked down at the glasses as she dried, causing her hair to cause a curtain between her and Harlin unintentionally.

The demon noticed the glow of her eyes and he found them rather beautiful. [b]"Well that's good to hear, then I'll keep everything the same," he answered softly. He raised an eyebrow at her comment of per usual and the wink. A small grin formed on his face. Harlin did try to pride himself on his product quality though really the only people who enjoyed it were the twins. He sat and watched her clean the glass. His teal eyes grew wide at the mention of shutting down the cafe for a day. "Really, you would actually take a day off for once?" he questioned deviously. The honest truth was Harlin himself barely ever took a day off. He had looked away slightly then looked over seeing her dark hair falling in front of her face. Leaning over the counter he reached over and brushed the hair away from her face. "Well if you ever take that day off, I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime?" he asked quietly.

Eve nodded. "Yeah, i mean ive never really had a day off, it'd be nice to know what a day off feels like." The neko giggled and then blushed as she felt her hair be pushed away. Harlins fingertips lightly touched her cheek and the neko's ruby eyes gazed up at him. "I..I..." she stammered a bit and then smiled at him. "I'd love to." A deeper blush came across her cheeks as she leaned foward and kissed his cheek lightly before dissapearing into the kitchen. A ding could be heard shortly after the door closed behind her. Eve opened the oven and the smell of pumpkin pie filled the kitchen and seeped into the cafe's main lobby. It was a smell her and her sister never got tired of, it was their favorite.

Harlin nodded knowing just how she felt. Eilonwy had asked him on occasion to take a day off, but of course he could wake up and take care of the plants that needed it. Then he would usually run back into bed and pretend to be asleep. He couldn't help, but grin at the sight of her stuttering. Once she said he would love to he grinned softly to himself and again she surprised him with a kiss. The demon tried to cover his blush, but watched as she skittered into the kitchen."Glad to hear," he said softly. Lightly he smiled as suddenly the smell of pumpkin over powered him. "Eve! That smells wonderful!" he called to her from where he sat.

He shook her hand and then said, "So, you just finished unpacking eh? You live in the cafe or you have a separate home?" Eli didnt really know what to say to her. Marely called him unsocial and sometimes a disgrace to be around, but he knew that she was just joking with him, most of the time. Eli saw how Dawn kept blushing. Is she shy or something. Did i say something wrong? He thought to himself.

A giggling could be heard as she carried one of the fresh pumpkin pies out. "I thought you might wanna taste the finished product of what i buy from you." she said with a smile and cut a slice, placing it on a dish in front of him. "What do you think?" She asked as she waited for him to taste it and give his opinion. Eve poured herself some tea and cut herself a slice of the fresh pie, she purred as the taste filled her mouth, pumpkin was her absolute favorite.
Dawn shook her head. "We live upstairs, me and Eve share a room. Its not that roomy, but its nice." Dawn refilled the drinks on the table next to him and smiled. "Im going to get your food, I'll be right back." The pale haired neko walked behind the counter and into the kitchen getting the food for that Marely and Eli. When she walked back out she stood next to Eve and sighed. "I dont think he likes me.." Dawn said sadly. Eve placed her hand on Dawns shoulder. "Just get to know him, love. It will be ok." Picking back up the tray she walked over to Eli's table and placed the food down. "So...what music do you listen to?" Dawn asked, trying to make small talk. |
The demon grinned when he saw her bring out a piece. "Well thank you I would," he answered softly with a smile. Then he came to the realization he would have to pick up a fork with Eve watching him. Harlin prayed that he didn't make a fool out of himself as he reached over and picked it up surprisingly with ease. Taking a bite he grinned at the warm feeling of pumpkin on his pallet. He smiled widely at the taste, it was delicious, of course, it always was. "That was divine Eve. You have a magnificent recipe," he said enthusiastically. Smiling he saw as Dawn approached, and quickly looked away. Harlin felt that talk between siblings was on the verge of sacred and hated to eavesdrop on any of it. Once Dawn had walked away again he raised his eyes. "But I feel terrible not paying for a second dish today, can I at least give you some money?" he asked truly feeling guilty at receiving a second plate. Harlin knew they had said they could eat for free, but at some point that had to become costly.

"I used to listen to rock and such, but since I moved down here I dont really listen to it anymore." Eli did love music, it was pretty much his life. But it was something he gave up to move down here. "What about you?" When he moved down here his family told him to give up three big things in his life, and music was number one.
