Tigra swept through the last part of the hallways with a huff. It was hard keeping this place up with out much help. There were a few other people who worked in the castle but everyone of them was incompetent and couldn't do anything unless told. She dropped her mop in the bucket she had brought with her and clapped her hands twice to get rid of the dust on them. It wasn't easy taking care of this place but it was manageable.
Glancing up she saw the door to her masters room and wondered what he was up to at this time of day. She hardly ever saw him in the mornings but that was fine. He gave her free reign of the place so long as she didn't burn it down. It was nice that he trusted her with the task of maintaining this place. They had a slight trust built up after 13 years of service. He told her things, confided in her. He reminded her of an older brother some days. Sighing again she picked up the bucket and headed for the kitchen. To get rid of her bucket and mop. She'd have to go clean the young masters study next.

Rodger leaned back in his chair. His face was stoic and his fingers rested on the arms of the chair. There wasn't much to do on days like today. There was no one to see, no one to talk with and his appearance he did not leave the Castle often. It was fine at night when he could walk around with out others noticing him but it was another thing to walk around and be noticed. People in this day and age were panicky. They still believed old stories and tales but they had their skepticism.
He tilted his head to the side. He could go visit his son. The boy spent most of his days in his room much like he had. Only Rodger had mad his fortune and only needed to keep it. His son was very much into stocks and money. It was his favorite pass time. You would think he would find other things to obsess over, horses, woman, art. No those things didn't seem to interest in things he could have with the money he made just the money itself.
He bowed his head forward at the window. Today was not a sunny day not was it happy. Today was very, how did Tigra say it, blah. There were clouds, no rain to speak of but the wind moved the clouds across the sky. It was getting dimmer by the second and with each second that passed he grew more bored. He mused briefly that he could contemplate his existence but as soon as he tried it to became boring. He stood gracefully from his chair, moving across the room to his door. He would go visit town today. It would relieve at least a bit of his boredom.
