Indeed, just what is love? Well there are two kinds, the kind that you feel for another person and the kind you feel for DANCING! (WHAT A GREAT COMBO HUH!?!) This is a clubbing thread. Welcome to Sugar Bear's, the hottest club to hit the scenes in the last ten years. At the top of the youth popularity for hang out spots, the owner of the club is unknown though rumor says he walks amoung his guests as one of them.

It had been a long day in the biker bar just down the road from Sugar Bear's. This was where Mani worked, a smelly dirty biker bar. The job wasn't glamorous and it paid shitty, but it was the family busness so she gave it her best effort to survive the long days. A night on the town would do her some good she thought as she tied her black bandana around her forhead. Tonight was the first time she'd been able to get time to go to Sugar Bear's and it was hopefully to be a night to remember. |
John was standing at his post infront of Sugar Bear's enterance when Mani approched the club. The line went to the street cornor at the end of the block and wrapped around to the otheside of the buildings. Most standing waiting to get in were either to young to get in or to old to party. Ushering Mani to the front of the line, John unhooked the purple velvet rope and let her into the bumping club.

Near the beginning of the line with her friends, Phoebe stood in a grey wrap top and black skinny jeans tucked into her boots, looking a little out of place. She wasn't as hot as them, that's for sure--all gaudied up and dressed in skintight, sexy outfits that sparkled. She was a sparrow among peacocks, and she knew it, standing with her arms crossed over her chest.

Mani didn't pay any attention to the line of extras who'd be lucky to get in until she was bumped into them. A passing muscle head and his weight lifting buddies walked past Mani and the line without noticing that they took up most of the side walk. Being shoved aside Mani fell into this meek timid little thing of a girl, she picked herself up seemingly forgetting about the girl she's crashed into, and started mouthing off to the meatheads. "Hey a****** watch where your going!!" She yelled out but the three men just walked on. "Jerks." Mani turned on the heals of her strappy pumps and looked at Phoebe. "Hey you,'' her tone was softer now, kind and generally caring, "you alright?"Before Phoebe could answer, Mani noticed the bouncer leading her in. She nodded to him and turned to look at Phoebe. "Catch ya inside.'' She said before heading for the enterance. |

John nodd as Mani walked by and looked at the group of girls a little way down the line where she'd fallen. He waved them to come to up to the rope. When they approched he unhooked it again and let the girls in. "Enjoy ladies." John's voice was deep, and he caught Phoebe's eyes before she got threw the door. With a baby sweet smile he winked at her. "Welcome to Sugar Bear's!" A hearty laugh pushed threw his think muscular throat. |

Her face reddens meekly at all the attention, not saying anything to Mani. John gets a soft, sweet little "thank you", squeaked out like the chirrup of a bird, before she makes her way into the club proper. There, her friends manage to lose her in the crowd--they'll find her again when they need a ride home. After all, she doesn't drink, so of course she's the designated driver. |
Mary came to the end of the line... She had decided to wear something a bit lowcut tonight. Showing cleavage was a good way to get inside. Wearing a tight black corset top and black skirt to match, fishnets and clunky black boots, she was looking pretty good. She usually didn't like to be cocky about her appearance, but with her long black curls going down her back and her violet eyes lined with black, she was very impressed with herself. If only this line would hurry. She really wanted to go inside. She was new in town and thought maybe this would be a good way to meet someone interesting. She kind of leaned out of the line, hoping the bouncer would see her and let her in. |

Toward the end of the line, John's attention was caught by a bloch of darkness lit up by a street lamp. He narrowed his eyes and forced them to make out the outline of a girl. This was new! She intrigued him and that was enough, with a flick of his thick wrist he motioned for Mary to come closer.
Inside the club the Dj had just began spinning and cutting. Records pumped out intence sound waves and would occationally scratch to add a bit of a twist in the already electric air. Bert sat at the bar waiting for the crowd to grow. Beside him, there weren't many other's already inside but enough to get a good buzz begining. Turning on his bar stood, drink in hand, Bert looked at the door. A brunette, then a meek girl and some friends; the party was already begining to grow. |
The door to the club lead from the entrance down a ten foot hall. The floor was covered in a plush blue rug and the walls were painted with different musically related things. At the end of the hall, a second door stood leading into the main room. A few people were already on the dance floor, busting moves to the DJ's magic, and at the bar a single man sat facing the bar tender, then her turned. Mani froze for half a second, looking past the distance at the man. He's cute, but I doubt he's my type. Mani thought and laughed to herself, causing a smile to spread across her face. She waved cutely and meekly at him the turned her back to him in a harsh spin. |
She jumped for joy inside her head and swiftly slipped by the people in the line. She hoped that he was calling her though. It would be as awkward as getting up to take an oscar and it isn't you. As she came up to the front, she noticed all of the girls seemed to be dressed like the background dancers in a gaudy, rap, music video. She looked up at the bouncer, a boulder of a guy and kind of gulped under the choker necklace around her neck. "Hi, did you call me up?" |
"You stand out in a croud, maybe you can add a little life to this drab party." The golden clip of the velvet rope unclasped again and John motioned Mary forward. "Try not to shake things up to badly." He said, his voice emotionless, it would of been impossible for someone other then his friends to know that he was joking.

She giggled "Hehe.. I'll try not to.. I mean look at me. I have trouble written all over me." She smiled and turned, looking over the crowd.. Hm.. why did all of the girls sparkle? She liked to be more subtle.. In any case, she wanted a drink. Slipping towards the bar she leaned her elbows onto it, her arms just underneath her breasts as she called out to the bartender. "Cranberry sour please.." She sighed as he left to make his drink, slipping into the chair she was under and facing the rest of the club.."I wonder if they'll play anything other than what been playing on the radio all week." She said to no one in particular. |
Bert hadn't noticed when the girl in black walked in but he did notice her when she ordered her drink. His head turned and her looked the girl up and down once, then twice, then he sipped of his drink. Looks like John's calling the crowd tonight. Alright, lets see how things go. Bert sipped his drink again, and got up with it in hand. He walked over to Mary and smiled kindly.
"Sup, I'm Bert." He sipped another deep gulp of brass monkey and looked at Mary in question. |
After a while on the dance floor Mani grew thirsty, time for a peach flavored beverage! The bar tender wipped one up in no time and handed it to her. She sipped and sat down a few seats down from Mary.

Mary smiled softly, looking up at the guy next to her. She was feeling a bit bashful.. so she took a gulp of her drink. "H-hi. I'm Mary.." She looked him over.. he looked like a rockstar or something.. well.. maybe grunge rock.. but he pulled it off well. |
"huh cool." Bert said and took another stiff swill from the drink. The party was begining to pick up and the bar was starting to get full. "What brings you out here tonight Mary? Looking for a walk on the wild side?" He didn't mean to come off creepy but that's how he felt it sounded. Only assuming by her clothing he half expected her to be a vampire freek and he wondered what her thrill was. John stood infront of the door waiting for more quests to arrive, invited or otherwise. The night had somehow grown cold in the summer air and he wasn't to impressed with it. "Man, this is some straight up bulls--t!" John cursed to himself, looking over the unworthy croud. |

She gulped her drink and blushed a bit over his question..Was he flirting with her? "O-oh.. well.. I have been wanting to have some fun, lately.. but, ya know.. this is one of the better ways of meeting people... speaking of.. whats your name?" |
Mani easedropped on the conversation and waited for the right moment to drop in on it and introduce herself. This place would be a drag if she didn't make atleast one friend during the course of the night. And then recognized the guy's face from a cd she'd found in the mud about two years ago.
"Bert McCrackler right? The lead singer from the emo band... what was the name of it again... the mud ruined the booklet and your cd is blank. I googled it once but I forget easy." She stepped into the conversation taking a sip of her drink. "My name is Mani." Introducing herself she turned to Mary mainly to introduce herself and not be rude to the girl. |
Shocked, she looked to Bert, smiling slightly. "You sing for The Used?" She had remembered the name... she thought he looked familiar. She looked to the girl and smiled. "Hi Mani.. I'm Mary." She looked over the girl and... whoa! She had the biggest breasts she had ever seen! |
When Mani cut into the conversation Bert went temporarily speachless. WOAH! Giant jugs! The cave man inside took over for a moment but he pushed past the urge to jump her where she stood. Besides, looks aren't everything and who knew how much she'd gotten around in the past. "Sup Mani." Bert looked at Mary who had noticed the obivous features of the brunette as well. He laughed to himself and polished off his brass monkey, the thought of his failure band stired in his brain. "Yea, I used to front 'The No Longer New' band but meh, what can I say, dreams flop!" |
She smiled sadly and nodded. "I know what you mean. It really is a shame.. I liked your music." she smiled softly and looked to the bar. "Hey.. another one of whatever he's having." |
The bar tender sat a brass monekey down infront of Mary, Bert looked at it then at her wondering if she'd really drink the malt beer and oj mix.
"Better make that two." He said taking a seat between the girls. "We'll take the monkey on together!" Bert laughed with a rough cracked voice but he was surely in good health, only years of cigarrette smoking had deffinately left their mark on his vocal cords. |
