Sophia was a young woman who lived alone in a small home on the edge of a busy little town. She sighed and took a shower and then began to make breakfast. "I wonder what in the world will happen to me today." She said with a sigh.

Seth sat silently beside his dying father. He had been sitting there for hours. He wanted to be there when he passed. But, of course, he didn't want him to die. He wasn't ready to be king.

Sophia ate her breakfast and went outside and sat by the passing river, thinking about what she would do today.

Seth's father told him that he had arranged for him to be married. When Seth protested, he said he had already sent out guards to find a girl for him.

Sophia looked up in confusion as a bunch of guards came to her and took her to a castle,"What on Earth is going on....?" She asked, sounding confused.

"We are taking you to marry our prince." a guard said. They arrived at the palace and took her up to the king's room.

Sophia couldn't understand,"But why me?" She asked."I'm not a princess."

"We know that. But the prince refused to marry the princesses he has met. So we were told to get a girl from the village."

Sophia sighed, thinking to herself,"Most likely he doesn't want to be married. I don't blame him since it will be to someone he doesn't even know.'

They soon arrived at the castle. The guards took her up to the king's room, knowing that was where the prince would be.

Sophia thought about fighting back, but knew she would be easily overpowered.

The guards left her in that room. Seth looked at her when she was brought in.

Sophia looked at him, unsure of what to say.

"Good morning my dear." the king said. He started coughing. Seth looked back at him.

Sophia bowed slightly,"Um... Good morning, your Highness." She said quietly.

"You're such a lovely young woman. Don't you agree, Seth?" the king asked him.

Seth looked at her. "I guess......"

Sophia looked down,"If you say so, Sir." She said quietly, her ears flattening.

"What is your name child?" the king asked.

"Sophia, Sir."

"That is a lovely name." the king said. "This is my son, Seth." he said, indicating him.

Sophia nodded and bowed slightly

"Seth. I want you to show her around the castle." the king said.

Seth stared to complain, but his father gave him a look that shut him up. He sighed slightly and stood up. He went over to her.

When they left the room, Sophia looked down,"I'm sorry." She said quietly,"I can just go home if it would help..."
