Kris hadn't been ignoring them as he sat there on that counter-top with one leg crossed over the other. No..he had just been plunged into a deep thought, mostly brought on by the word 'family' that had been thrown around. So for awhile Kris just rummaged about in his own mind. Blinking occasionally and glancing around as did catch snippets of the conversation. He grimaced with Aria mentioned the cake disaster. It had been funny, maybe, just a little, but still. Overall it had been a disaster. Kris gulped down the remaining contents of his glass and set it on the counter next to him.

When Aria decided that the others should go have a gander at the pool, Kris slid off the counter-top. Straightened his skirt a bit. Kris didn't much care for the pool, it was okay he supposed. Oh well..he'd follow the girls out to it anyway.

Yuri was pretty much in her own world for a few minutes, just thinking about random stuff. She would occasionally do that when she would observe others. While Yuri was lost in her own thoughts, she didn't notice that Aria had said something to her. Then she looked at her and replied, "I would love to go with you. I could also help you with shopping if you want." She said as she stood up straight because leaning on a counter started to affect her. So she rubbed her lower back to help and it did the trick. Yuri also pulled a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked around.

As Merv was all but dragged behind Aria, she had a brief moment of panic. As a practice she didn't swim, lack of eyesight a severe hindrance to her ability to move when under water. not to mention, that there were often people that moved around in the pool causing her embarrassing moments when she bumped into people. she didn't mind getting her feet wet, or sitting in a hot tub, merely because they require little sense of direction.

however upon sighting the outfits that Aria had pulled out she blushed deeply, and almost walked out, back into the main room. "

“I don’t tend to look good in a swim suit…..” She said with an amused grin, though still letting the other pull her along. She only glanced up and looked to see Merv, making her feel a little mischief. Teasing she’d call out, “Oh love, you can’t leave… I was sooo looking forward to seeing you in a swim suit!” She pouted slightly then but her plumped out lips only made the comment seem even more…suggestive somehow.

Merv blushed furiously and looked away as Aria's hand continued to lead her towards the pool. "I-I don't often do this" she murmured embarrassed though she couldn't tell why ((shes blind remember?))

Frowning as a thought crosses her mind she couldn't help but ask, "When did you get the pool? I don't remember hearing the sounds of construction..." she continues to frown as she tries to recall if Aria had said anything about it before

She continued her swim and decided, after a time, to visit some of the places she use to frequent. It was rare she was here, and it was not likely that anyone would be there when she was. Her red-gold hair streamed out behind her and her movement was swift, even for the fact that she did not often swim any longer.

The woman was quick and nimble one her feet but especially under the water. It did not take her long before she was in the midst of the city and drawing rather unsavorie looks from from the people that passed her. Oh yes, they remembered her.

Aria smiled when they came with. "Cool! Everyone is getting wet?" She couldn't help the enthusiasm in her voice, she was a mermaid after all. Without thinking she stripped quickly, clothes thrown all over the floor, as she ran to the pool and elegantly swan diving into the deep end. When she first touched the water, her legs began to glow and as she sliced through the water they fused to form a lovely sea green tail. She hurriedly tied on the bikini top she had brought with her, knowing she had to at least sit on the edge to somewhat help people locate the suits. "Come on Kris, you have to swim with us! Please?" She begged, her bottom lip pushing out into a pout.

Kris shook his head a bit when Aria begged him to get in the pool. "I'd rather not." He glanced sidelong at the others..as if emphasis that was his reason for not wanting to get in. "...Besides, I'd have to change clothes.." He sat down on one of the lounge chairs, relaxing a little in the chair, watching the others a bit.

All the more reason to, I’m sure you’ll be taken care off… “ the mixed blood said quietly, shrugging. “No one wont let your sexy ass drown.” She joked lightly to Merv as she went in and changed quickly. She’d toss her bag on a seat in her sight range as she headed for the pool, not caring that the swimsuit showed many scars along her arms and legs from various scraps through her long adventures. None were particularly emotional experiences so she remembered little about where they were from.

Merv could only blush as she went in as well shrugging at the joke, she couldn't judge, and changed into a bathing suit. she was well used to changing clothes, and wanting it to be easy, she slips into a slim one-piece swimsuit before she walks to the pool, sitting down at the edge, placing her feet in the water. Merv made no other move to slide into the water deeper, content to sit for the time being.

Aria pouted but nodded her agreement when she realized why he wasn't going to swim. "Ano, sorry Merv, but I had this specially done for me, and hid it behind illusions and silence bubbles. After all the heavy construction work would probably have annoyed the patrons or maybe the singers...I couldn't have that." She smiled as she pushed her body out of the water in an elgent backflip, hardly making a splash at all. Under the moving water, she seemed to have fallen asleep, only the moving of her tail and arms kept the illusion from being true. Her eyes flashed open as if she had a brilliant thought and she raced to the surface. "I know! I know a way you wouldn't have to get changed!" She smiled so wide her teeth were showing. "But it'll cost you a kiss Kris." She giggled, knowing he'd probably grimace about that part, and of course refuse. She was prepared for it, she'd dealt with it before where she went on a childish streak and he became like an adult, even though she was the older one. It was funny sometimes to watch them interact, and she loved having him around.

Kris had rolled his eyes when Aria suddenly came up with some idea or other. He was already shaking his head. She was being a bit childish again, he sighed softly. "I'm not giving you a kiss.." He frowned a bit, though a bit curious as to what her idea was. He waved a hand slightly to encompass the others. "You've already got playmates, you'll be fine with me sitting on the sidelines."

"Hmn i think that would be play mate, i can't really swim...." Merv's muttered confession wasn't something that she liked to advertise, as she used to be able to swim when she was younger. she sighs and mutters even quieter "its kind of hard for a blind person to learn" she frowns for a moment before she smiles again the thought banished from her head

sighing Merv stands up and slips into the pool slowly, not sure if she would be tall enough for it or if she would have to move. smiling slightly she walks towards the more shallow part of the water her hand on the side of the pool to help her keep her direction. walking till the water was about midway on her thighs, she sat down in the water her vibrant red hair floating slightly and moving in the undercurrents in the pool.
