Alexander Windsor

21
I was born from a strict family who followed the orthodox of our dead ancestors. They believe in their children surpassing them one of these days, which meant a lot of pressure on me. They let me study at a prestigious University about a four-hour plane from my hometown and I didn't think I'd be able to go through with the boredom here until I've met him. My best friend. The only one who manages to make my days and my stay at school amusing. He's no prince charming but he can surely pass up for one if he were in my shoes.

Jessy Griffin

I'm nothing special, I'm just lucky. I got into this school with good grades and a hard work, extremely hard work... But the only excitement I seem to get is from hanging with my best friend, whome I met this year. A little early to say best friend? Maybe. But we clicked in a heart beat.

It was another day, another usual day anyway. He woke up, dressed up, made sure he'd shaved, and made himself look presentable. Normal. This was what he enjoyed the most being in another country like this. He didn't have to look good for the press, he didn't have to mind carrying the name on his shoulder like a burden, and most of all, he didn't have to carry on the traditions of his country to here. Plus, he had his eye on his best friend whom he'd oddly liked keeping the secret of him being normal from their school mates.
It was he who'd started the rumor about Jessy Griffin being a Prince of another country.
It shouldn't be hard to believe that since Griffin was pretty good with people and worked hard to stay in the school they're currently studying in. At least, that was much of what Alex could see. His only problem with him, though, was that he couldn't contact him whenever he wanted so he'd decided to buy him a phone one day. It would explain why he was bringing a paper bag other than his own school bag.
He was at the train station in about thirty minutes and he seated himself on one of the seats. Putting his bag and the paper bag down in between his legs, he pulled up his shirt a little and looked at the time. They still had an hour until class starts. Enough time for their usual breakfast. And, because they were at a prestigious institution, classes starts at ten and finishes at three in the afternoon. Silently, he waited for Jessy and looked about, watching the number of people passing by him, busy with their lives.

Jessy ran down the stairs of the train station. He couldn't believe that he had over slept his alarm clock. The boy got through the gates, hopping that the train did not leave yet. At this point, he had no sence of time at all. He had left his watch at home and of course didn't have a phone either. Jessy ran to were the usual meeting place was and saw that Alex was there. the boy sighed in relief and slowed down only to trip and fall to the ground.
"Whoa!!!" he yelled as he caught himself just before his face hit the ground. Jessy turned to see what it was that he had missed seeing. A child's stuffed toy was at his feet and his eyes widened. A little boy walked up and picked up his toy, looked at the man that had fallen and ran away laughing. At this point Jessy was a little irritated. "Hey! You could at least say sorry!!!" he yelled after the kid. He then sighed and looked to see if Alex had seen the entire thing.

Alex had, actually, but he didn't say anything about it at all and simply laughed in amusement. Yeah. Jessy always did manage to brighten his mornings. Getting up from his seat, the prince walked over to Jessy and he'd held out a hand to him. "Leave it," he told him with a smile, "And good morning to you, too, by the way." Once the other would've had taken his hand, he'd have pulled him up. The train was going to be packed in an hour or so but it isn't like Alex minded. In fact, he was used to rush hours.
"Do you want to eat breakfast here or near school?" he asked him as he'd helped dusted Jessy's clothes and noted that he'd have to remind Jessy to fix his hair before going to school. The students at their school believed Jessy to be a Prince and he wasn't going to ruin that image. In fact, he wouldn't mind at all if he were told to be the butler; Alexander was pretty much doing what his own butler was doing back in his country land.

Jessy took the hand that was offered to him and stood up. "Uh, ya. Goodmorning..." He responded, still a little embarrassed at what had just happened. The young man started to brush himself off, thinking of the answer to the question. "Um, let's do closer to school today. I don't need another accident like that happening again..." he answered, looking back in the direction the kid had ran off to.

Alex couldn't tear the smile of amusement from his face. "All right then," he started before he'd motioned for Jessy to stay put, "I'll get us tickets." It didn't take long for him to come back and when he had, he'd handed Jessy his ticket. At least, they won't have to worry about having to join the rush hour later on. If they were near school, too, they could even take their time or have other students join them. It's also possible that the students would come over to simply see Jessy. Not that he'd mind that.
Was Jessy even aware of the attention he's gaining since Alexander had started to spread the rumor of Jessy being a Prince? "Have you done the homework in Math?" he asked as he'd raised his brows and waited for the other to join him on the platform.

He took his ticket and followed his friend to the platform. He sat down for a brief moment and sighed. "I did what I could of it. You should know by now that Math is not my strongest," Jessy replied. This was very much true, it always took him an hour or two to get through the homework. It wasn't that he didn't understand it, just that there was so much that was needed to be remembered.

Alexander let out a short, "Ah," when he was reminded of that. Apparently, he'd forgotten and he'd mindlessly asked him. "If you'd like, we can work on that during breakfast," he said with a smile, "Then, maybe, on your pay day, you could pay me back by treating me to one of our breakfast sessions." The train came up and he'd went in ahead and motioned for Jessy to take a seat beside him. There weren't much people in the train at this time so they didn't have to worry about having to stand up for the rest of the ride.
"And today, you're choosing where we'll be eating."

"Doing homework and eat at the same time? It's hard on my digestive system," he joked and smiled thinking of how he'd prefer to use his own money for his food and not someone else's. Jessy stepped onto the train and sat down next to his friend. "At least we don't have to stand, right?" He stated as he slouched down a bit. The young man rested the back of his head on the back of the seat and closed his eyes. "I choose huh? ok... let me think...." he said and became quiet. Before he knew it, he drifted off to sleep.

It wasn't surprising at all to see Jessy fall asleep. After all, the man had worked himself hard. Snickering slightly in amusement, he reached out to have that head of his on his shoulder and he'd held his head in place for the rest of the duration. He supposed that wasn't exactly doing of a best friend but a girlfriend or a boyfriend but he didn't really mind. In fact, he was rather good at ignoring the talks and the giggling between the men and women that joined them in the train. And, as for the homework and the eating at the same time matter, he wasn't exactly saying they had to do homework while they were eating. They could always do it later.
After a few minutes of train ride and the twists and turns, Alexander lightly patted his friend's cheek. "You should wake up. We're here, Jessy." Just as he'd said that, the train had slowed down to a stop.

Jessy opened his eyes and looked up at his friend whome was closer then he remembered him being. The boy sat up quickly and blushed, looking away as he did. Did I really fall asleep on his shoulder? Why didn't he wake me up or push me away or something? he thought to himself a little confused. He cleared his throat and picked his backpack up. "Uh, sorry for... falling asleep on you," Jessy said as he looked over at his friend. The red in his cheeks were gone, but he still couldn't look him in the eyes; not at the moment anyway.
He stood up and got off the train, yawned and stretched. "Let's just go to iHop," he said, looking back to see Alex.

When Jessy had woken up, he also took that time to stand to his feet. Adjusting his bag on his shoulder, he turned to look at the man and smiled. "Don't worry about it," he told him, "I can't have you bothering any other people." Nodding at his suggestion, he reached out to grab one of the overhead railings to squeeze himself through the crowd and followed the other out. "Will iHop be open, though at..." he trailed off to look at the time on his wristwatch, "Six forty-five?"

Jessy watched him get off the train and responded, "iHop is open 24/7.... did you not know that?" This was a known fact to everyone, although Alex was from a different country. He sighed remembering that fact and then smiled. He continued walking, slow enough that his friend would catch up. "So have you spoken to your parents lately? I remember you told me they wanted to speak to you about something," he commented when Alex was walking next to him.

Alex blinked. Was that general or common knowledge? He wasn't sure. If it was, it should've had been in the list of things to know about the country - one written by his butler back then when he was in his country. He remembered having gone through the littlest of details and memorizing them by heart so he wouldn't have a problem with coming here so, no. He didn't know that until now. "Just now," was his curt reply before he'd come up to walk beside him. He slid his hands into his pockets and blinked at the other's question and statement.
"Ah. That. Yeah. They said things were going too be busy so they might contact me over the weekend," he said with a smile, "Oh, were you still wanting to come over to play video games? I've got the new release, if you don't have any part-time jobs on either day."

"Huh? You already have that game? It doesn't start selling in stores until today.... Sure, I'll come over after work. Today I just have to work at the library," he said and smiled. Jessy loved spending time with this man. He had also just realized a couple weeks ago that he had fallen in love with him. This was his secret though, he didn't want to ruin their friendship becuase of a little crush.

Alexander only grinned at the question. Who did Jessy think he was? Plus, his parents spoiled him enough so he got the games even before they got out of the stores. Sometimes, he was the source of those forums he'd joined about those games. Apparently, creators and producers tend to take his criticisms heavily. It affected the changes they made when the games are updated online.
"Yeah," Alexander smiled, "I know. But, we better finish our Math homeworks if we don't want detention and you'd be missing work then."

"Please. I wouldn't miss work. it's the library. I'll do my homework while I'm there, and since it closes at 9, i'll just head over to your place after. Unless you need your beauty sleep," he teased. He walked up to the doors of iHop and opened one, gusturing to Alex to walk in.

Alexander blinked at the words 'beauty sleep'. Apparently, they don't use words like that in their country. At least, his parents don't let him. They cared much about image and sarcasm isn't supposed to be part of their words. Chuckling lightly at the other's words, he nodded. "No, that's a good idea," he replied with a smile as he thanked the other for holding the door out to him. Getting themselves a booth, he added: "I'll prepare the console and the game by then."
"And, I'll just have coffee."

"Sounds good," he then looked at the waitress, "I'll have a coke and chocolate chip pancakes." Jess smiled and then turned back to Alex after the female left.

Smiling politely at the waitress when she'd given him a look and then specifically landed her gaze on Jessy, he idly wondered if the male was at all noticing the looks sent his way by both genders. "Coke early in the morning?" he asked the other as he'd raised his brows slightly in surprise, "You won't be getting stomach trouble now, will you?"
Alexander took out his math notebook to start with the homework. It wasn't like he had anything to do, after all. That, and he particularly didn't like having to observe his surroundings. He was always worried he'd give a stare that some people might find offending.
