Demyx looked about warily as he crept into the Grey Area, the dark window at the far end of the room showing the single glittering jewel that was Kingdom Hearts- and although it shed light on all of the World that Never Was, it seemed that it refused to shed light on Demyx's current situation.
He had been brought here by a man with dark blue hair and an X-shaped scar on his face, the man tossing him in a nearly empty room only to drag him out moments later, to some sort of initiation into the 'Organization'. He was the ninth and newest member, and his appointed 'guide' was a rather small, slate-haired teenager with a short temper and a love of books. He got very little time off every day, and today he deicided to bring his very confused self to the Grey Area, the Castle's lounge.
The man with the blue hair- Saix?- was standing on the oposite side of the room, a clipboard in hand. He was talking to a man with bright red hair, although the conversation seemed a little too hostile for Demyx's liking. There was another man with dark hair, an eyepatch, and a long scar running down his left cheek reclining on one of the couches, eyes closed and dosing.
"...Hello?" Demyx asked, taking a few more steps into the room. He didn't receive an answer, so he made his way over to an empty chair and sat down, summoning his sitar- his weapon- and carefully strumming a calming tune on the strings.

Zexion was walking through the hallways at the castle. He held his Lexicon in front of his face as he read it as he walked. He was really annoyed. He was put in charge of the new member. Why, he had no idea. Xemnas knew he didn't like people. Yet he was still chosen. And he couldn't disobey him. So he was stuck with him. He headed to the Grey Room. He sat down on the nearest couch. He didn't look away from his book the entire time.

Demyx looked over his shoulder as Zexion walked, sitting down on one of the nearby couches. Demyx resisted the urge to wave- Zexion didn't look very pleased.
The 'Nocturne', as Xemnas had called him, realized he was staring at Zexion when his fingers caught on another string, making a sour note that pulled him back into reality. He shook it off and continued playing, hoping no one noticed the mistake.

Zexion could hear the new guy playing on his stupid sitar. It was really annoying. He could hear him mess up on the note. He looked at him over his book. He glared at him for a brief moment. He looked back at his Lexicon. He was sure he would have to go with him on a mission today. Which he rather do himself.

Demyx could just about feel Zexion's glare through the back of his head, and it send a visible shudder down the Melodius Nocturne's spine. Opps... Clearly, someone did notice the mistake- although Demyx had a feeling they would have glared anyway.

"IX!" Demyx looked over his shoulder at the source of the voice- the second in command, Saix, called him over. "You appear to be wasting time we don't have. Here," He shoved a paper against Demyx's chest, "A mission with VI."

Zexion could hear Sai'x talking to the new guy. And he knew he would be stuck with him on his next mission. He didn't get up just yet though. He wasn't quite ready to leave. He would go in a minute.

Demyx took the slip of paper and held it out at half-arm's length, trying to decipher Saix's handwriting. It read:

Location: Agrabah
Synopsis:
Find a way into the royal palace and watch Jafar- closely. He seems to be up to something.

It seemed simple enough- and with Zexion's powers, he could probably slip them in pretty much unnoticed.
Demyx made his way over to the Schemer, the younger member flipping through his book with the same cold, unreaddable expression he always bore. "Hey, Zex- we're going on a mission together. Reconaissance in Agrabah." He explained, clasping his hands behind his back and leaning foreward, peeking over the top of Zexion's book. "Zex?"

Zexion didn't move as Demyx came over to him. But when he started speaking, he looked up to glare at the boy. "Do not call me Zex. You will adress me as Zexion or XI. Nothing else." he told him.

Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today. Demyx thought, standing up straight. "Sorry." Although Demyx was willing to be rude in his head, sassing a superior member- especially one as serious and bad-tempered as Zexion- was really never a good idea.

Zexion closed his Lexicon and it dissappeared into darkness. He stood up. "Now. What is our mission?" he asked. Though he really didn't want to have to be around this member. He would rather do the mission himself.

Demyx took out the paper again and squinted at it. "Location: Agrabah. Synopsis: Find a way into the royal palace and watch Jafar- closely. He seems to be up to something." He read, alowly and deliberate. It wasn't that Demyx couldn't read, it was just that he didn't really like to do it all that much.

"Alright." Zexion said. He created a portal to Agrabah and stepped through it. Once they were both there, he did a spell so that they wouldn't be seen. But could still be heard.

Already Demyx could feel the swealtering heat of the desert world threatening to give him an awful sunburn, so, for the sake of his physical welfare, he pulled up his hood. He turned to his left, seeing nothing but sand, and then to his right, seeing three sections of the city through a massage archway in the walls- straight to the palace. He'd never been to Agrabah before, and had no idea the palace would be so big! "Woah..." He muttered, syaring in awe at the giant, ornate double-doors.

"You need to stay quiet Demyx. The spell I cast won't cover any noise you make." Zexion said. Though he was a little amused by Demyx's reaction to the place. He had been the same the first time he went to a new world. He just knew how to hid it better.

"Hmn?" Demyx looked over his shoulder at Zexion as he was shaken back into reality. "Oh, yeah. Right." He whispered back. "So where're we going?" He asked, voice only loud enough for Zexion to hear.

"We are going to the palace. That is where our target is most likely." Zexion said. He headed in that direction. They soon arrived at their destination. He stopped just outside.

Demyx nodded and took off behind Zexion, his feet dragging on the sand-dusted floor.
Getting past the doors was easy; a few of the townspeople as they ducked in and out of shops and homes had cleared a path for them- or, rather, for the man with such expensive robes one would assume he was stationed in the palace- and very high on the political food chain. Demyx offered a curious glance at the man, witht he great auburn turban wrapped around his head and a long, narrow face- but the palace, as soon as they slipped past the doors, was suddenly far more interesting.
The palace was big- a bit too big for Demyx's tastes. There was the Castle that Never Was, but that castle was his home, so it was different- but this foreign, intricate castle with columns of ivory and it's great, polished dome was far too... orderly for the young Nobody- it was rather overwhelming. "Woah..." He said under his breath.

"I know that this is a lot to take in at first. But you need to stay focused the best you can." Zexion said. He would give Demyx some time to adjust to this place. Then they really needed to get back to work. He personally hated taking to long on missions.

Demyx took another moment to look about, until finally focusing back on Zexion and the task at hand. "Okay, so- what do we do now?"

"We need to find and follow our target." Zexion said. He looked around. Then he spotted Jafar. "Over there." he said, pointing.

Demyx nodded- it was the same man from earlier; the one that they'd opened the palace doors for. "He's headed inside- we should find another entrance. We could be noticed if we went in through the front." There was still a fair amount of sand around the palace, and their footprints were very likely to be spotted, considering there were far less people in this area and and guards were trained to look for that sort of thing. The Nocturne looked up, seeing a window at the base of the palace dome, looking down on the main chamber. "Do you think you could get us up there?" Many of the Organization, because of Demyx's easy excitement and short attention span, thought him to be stupid- although not the greatest fighter, the ninth could be usefull when the situation demanded.

Zexion looked up to where Demyx was pointing. "Yeah. I can." he said. He did a spell that launched them up and through the window. This actually was a good idea. He wouldn't have thought of it. He would have just continued the way they were going. So he was glad that Demyx pointed it out. Not that he would say anything about it.

Demyx's feet landed with a soft thud as they hit the balcony surrounding the main chamber, and he held his breath for a moment, fingers crossed. Luckily, no one heard.
He continued, walking lightly with his hand hovering over the balcony railing. Jafar was talking to one of the guards, their backs lined up against another set of ornate double-doors- probably an entrance to the throne room, considering the serious faces of the guards and the royal-looking symbol on the door. Demyx watched as the doors swung open, allowing Jafar entry- and then shut again. Demyx resisted the urge to shout something akin to "Come on!" as the noise of closing doors echoed around the chamber.
The Nocturne looked over his shoulder at Zexion, the slate-haired Nobody's book still out. Without a word, Demyx pointed to the doors, a puzzled look on his face: How are we going to get in?

Zexion just followed Demyx through the halls. He kept an eye on Jafar. He mentally cursed when the door closed behind him. He saw Demyx look at him, waiting for him to do something. He looked down at his Lexicon. He flipped through the pages and found a spell to get them in. He muttered it quietly then the were on the other side of the door.
