Wyatt fumbled and ended up dropping the trunks and towel. He had to bend down to pick them up before following Logan out towards the pool. He glanced around, feeling awkward. He did not like being half-naked, especially not in front of other males. He didn't so much mind half-naked males around him, however. That was all right.
He stood there awkwardly for a moment, after Logan headed into the sauna, and then he shuffled over towards the bathroom to change. |
Logan had a grin on his face, he knew this was clearly ou of Wyatt's comfort zone, but he would get used to it, and it'd probably be good for him. It wasn't long before Logan had changed, and he waited by the pool side until he saw Wyatt reappear, at that he gave him a glance of 'c'mon get in' before he dove in himself.
Logan was fantastic and swimming and he absolutely adored it, he had done laps nearly every day, it was his way to unwind. |
Wyatt looked awkward as ever, walking out with just the trunks on. He had his arms around himself, but even that didn't block out the fact that he was absurdly skinny. Ribs could just be seen on him. He needed to eat a little more...or did he? He pigged out on sweets all the time.
Instead of diving in, Wyatt sat down by the edge of the pool and warily dipped his feet in. |
Logan eventually surfaced to see Wyatt walking near the pool, the poor kid looked deathly skinny, and really awkward about himself. Logan decided to swim over and see how he was feeling, once he was close enough he pulled his wet hair back. "You're not going to have any fun just sitting on the edge like that." he said with a playful grin on his face.
Wyatt still had his arms over his torso, blocking it out somewhat. He sniffed. "It's cold. I'm trying to get used to it," he reasoned, quietly. His voice was a nervous mumble, and his shoulders were up to his chin.
Logan laughed, "Oh c'mon its perfectly fine!" he splashed a little water at Wyatt with a grin on his face, "It's worse if you go slowly." he was trying to reason with him.
Wyatt made a noise that sounded like a mix between a squeak and a cry, as he was splashed. It was cold, and he shook it off at once. He wrapped his arms tighter around himself. "I'll go in when I'm ready," he assured him, frowning.
"Wyatt..." Tristan whined, looking up at him, clearly he was being stubborn when it wasn't a big deal, "Stop being such a girl!" he said simply before reaching forward and pulling him in, he was laughing while doing this.
Wyatt didn't seem so amused, since he flailed underwater and then looked upset when he resurfaced. Looking like the human equivalent to a drowned rat, he pulled himself up onto the side of the pool again, shaking a bit since the water was so cold to him.
Logan surfaced as well to find Wyatt scrambling over the edge again, it was a bit cute in its own way, he was really scared of the water. Instead of keeping himself underwater he stood up in the shallow end near Wyatt his upper body now showing, and dripping of water as he shook his hair out.
"Why are you so afraid?" he asked walking closer to Wyatt again, "Are you able to swim?" |
Wyatt couldn't help staring for a few brief seconds, but he forced himself to look away in case he was caught. He brushed his soaking-wet long hair out of his eyes with his fingers, quite long and spidery. "I...it takes me a while to get used to water. I'm not fond of it," he replied, vaguely. His voice was slightly strained. "I can swim. Just not well."
Logan walked closer to Wyatt still, "Well you don't have to worry about it here, its the shallow end..." he was now close enough to hold out his hand for Wyatt to take, "At least just stand here, you'll get much colder sitting on the edge soaking wet like that."
Wyatt was still for a moment, but then he laid his hand in Logan's and eased himself into the shallow end. He wanted to jump out again, since the water was cold. He had very cold hands. He always did--it was something that made people jump when he decided to shake hands.
Logan smiled, he was happy that Wyatt at least trusted him a little, "Wow, your hands are cold." he said not letting go as anyone else would, it didn't bother him. "The idea is to keep moving and slowly lower yourself in, then you'll get used to the water faster."
Wyatt still had his other arm wrapped around himself. He was not only skinny, but he was also a deadly shade of pale white, as well, like he didn't often step outside. "My hands are usually quite cold..." Wyatt only shuffled himself forward a bit more before stopping again.
Logan, "Okay to move around in the water you're actually going to need to let go of yourself for a minute." he tried his best to encourage him, and make him understand its not so bad, he now brought his own body below the surface and stopped at his neck. "If you lower yourself like this it'll help, and if you keep moving you won't be cold." He let go of Wyatt's hand giving him more space.
Wyatt unwillingly, slowly, dropped his other arm from around his torso. It was clear what he had been hiding, now. He was pathetically skinny, of course. But if one looked closely, they could see the healing bruise that was across part of his chest and his stomach. The one he hadn't revealed earlier, that had been from a different sort of injury.
Logan was watching Wyatt and when he moved his hand he couldn't help but stare for a moment, at first he thought that Wyatt was holding himself because it was cold, but maybe it wasn't only for that reason. He saw a large bruise that appeared to go across his chest to his stomach.
He moved forward swiftly without a word, "Wait a second..." he said pulling Wyatt out of the water enough so he could see closely, "This... its not from school is it?" his eyes were full of worry as his hand idly ran across the bruise tracing the size of it. |
Wyatt's skin tensed up upon being touched--he was very sensitive, especially since he wasn't used to being touched like this. He also got goosebumps. "...It is from school. Just, not from being thrown into my locker," Wyatt clarified, staring off to the side. He didn't meet Logan's eyes.
Logan's attention now moved to Wyatt's face, he wouldn't look at him, this had to be something else bad that he didn't hear about yet. "If it's not from that... then what happened?" his voice was sincere as he waited for Wyatt to answer.
"...I...would rather not talk about it. Not right now, anyway. I'm tired. It's a long story...I can tell you tomorrow, if you'd like." Wyatt did look tired, like he didn't want to have yet another long, mind-boggling conversation. He turned to look at him and smiled, though, to promise that he would tell him tomorrow after he'd gotten some sleep.
Logan's eyes wandered realizing that he was touching Wyatt in a way that could be deemed inappropriate so he kicked off of the floor of the pool and swam back. He was relieved when Wyatt shot him a smile, this was now the second time he had seen him done so, "If you say so..." he said paddling in the water with ease.
"I do say so." Wyatt still had goosebumps, though he was attempting to shake the feeling off. He wasn't often touched. At least, not in a nonviolent way, anyway. He stayed in the shallow water, inching farther out every few minutes.
"You really are stubborn you know that!" Logan now adorned a devious smile again as he flicked a bit of water in Wyatt's direction, he hadn't notice the way he reacted to his touch. Although Logan was starting to question himself and why he was becoming so interested in Wyatt, and was so worried about him, and how he kept getting into situations with him that involved touching.
Wyatt attempted to dodge the water, but ending up slipping and falling backwards into the water. He resurfaced with all of his hair in his face, and he had to brush it away--it was like a thick, mop-like black curtain. "I suppose I am." It took a lot for Wyatt to really be attracted to someone--it had to be both physical and mental. At the moment, it was just physical.
