Logan drove ahead, he was biting his lip again, it was cut from earlier, and now as he looked into his rear view his bruise was visible. "No, its okay, the principle was just waiting for an excuse to get me, it had nothing to do with you... you just gave him reason to do so. I knew no matter what I said he'd push it." Logan had never really got along with the principle and he typically used his money to get anything he wanted, and in turn that made the principles life harder.
"I agree," Logan said, his head was booming, he really needed something for his head as it wouldn't stop throbbing. |
"I typically get along with him. Mostly because I get along with the vice principal, and if she sees him being how he was, she often threatens to tell the school board," Wyatt chuckled, then sighed. He said nothing more on the journey. He just wanted to get some rest.

Tristan sighed, it seemed that now they were back to being at least partly normal. He drove up to his lane and into the garage again, "I think I may need to lay down when we get in," he said rubbing his head a bit further once they pulled to a stop.
Without much else to go on he got out of the car and grabbed as much as he possibly could, "Unfortunately it will be sometime until you can have your own room..." |
"I think we both should. It has not been a pleasant day so far, and some extra rest sounds lovely," Wyatt agreed, wearily. He helped Logan with the last of the luggage, without protest. "That is fine...unless you mind...?"
He didn't seem uncomfortable with that. Were Tzalmon's words simply intimidating lies? |
Logan shrugged, "It didn't bother me last night, besides its not like I'm going to ask you to sleep on the floor or something." He made his way to the door and held it open so Wyatt could easily get in. "So what is all this stuff anyway?" he asked curiously as he carried it down the hallway, clearly it wasn't all clothing.
After sometime they finally made it up to Logan's room and he placed the suitcases on the floor near the end of the bed with a heavy sigh. Logan needed to inspect something after the fight today, so without another word he had removed his shirt and tossed it in the laundry bin he then walked up to the long mirror at the opposite end of his room and turned around, he revealed several bruises upon his back, and one across his ribs, they were beginning to ache. |
"Some games. As well as some...other things." Wyatt sniffed, not saying anything more. He seemed like he knew what Logan was doing when he retreated to the bathroom, and didn't follow him. He instead moved everything he owned to another side of the room in one of the corners, so he wouldn't take up too much space.

He listened to Wyatt from the other room, and once he was done inspecting and realizing there wasn't much he could do about it, he walked back into the other room not even bothering to put another shirt on. "It's like you're moving in," he said with a smile, before slowly lowering himself to the bed, his ribs were aching.

"I could, if I was eighteen." Wyatt seemed quite ruffled about his age. He was seventeen. He was born on Halloween, which was his favorite holiday and one of the reasons his mother thought he was some kind of cursed Antichrist or something.

"You aren't 18?" Logan asked surprised, he was already 18, but his birthday was in January so he always was ahead of people in that aspect. "I thought you were." He decided to lay back on the bed now, he let out a small hiss from the pain in his ribs.

"I am seventeen. I will be eighteen on Halloween," Wyatt explained, gingerly sitting down next to him. He seemed like he was feeling a bit better--the aftershock of what had happened today was wearing off. He was now feeling rather relaxed, and tired.

"Really?" Logan asked curious, he had never heard of anyone being born on a day like that, "You must have had some very cool birthday parties."

"...? I have never had a birthday party in all my life," Wyatt informed him, honestly. "Trick-or-treating is all I do on my birthday. And even then, I have to sneak out and sneak back in, or I will get punished..."

Logan sat up, "Never?" his eyes were sad, what a horrible childhood that would be, and no trick or treating either? "Well I'll make sure you have one this year, count on that."

Wyatt gave him a strange look, but didn't necessarily protest. "I still go trick-or-treating. I have an obsession with candy, you see," he hummed, smiling absently at the ceiling.

Logan rolled his eyes, "I got that, but aren't you a little old for trick or treating?" he enjoyed poking fun at him like that, but every time Logan became close to Wyatt he could see a childish nature come out of him, he wondered if it was because he hadn't been able to actually act like a child when he was young.

Wyatt fixed him with a serious stare. "You will rarely see me pass up the chance to get free candy," he informed him, arching a single black eyebrow. "I adore candy. Especially candies that taste like flavors of ice cream."

Logan rolled on his side so he could look at Wyatt while he talked, his torso was stretched so it showed off his muscles, although his body was bruised it still was a nice one. "You really are a goofball you know that?" He laughed at Wyatt's persistent nature towards candy.

"Maybe so, but who will be the one with free candy in the end?" Wyatt huffed. His tone was a lot more playful than it usually was. He was in a good mood. Now was probably a good time to try and get him to do something he wasn't comfortable with, since he was rarely in such a good mood. He was even smiling.

Logan laughed at his expression, now that he was pouting a bit, it was rather adorable in its own way, but he had to point something out, "There, you're actually smiling." he said feeling like he had accomplished something big, a grin was upon his face as well.

Wyatt tilted his head, smile fading. He looked curious. "And what is so strange about that?" he asked, pointedly. Though, he already knew what was strange. He didn't smile often. He was well aware of that.

Logan rolled on his back again, "Oh c'mon don't be such a bother, you know its a big deal to see you smile, I'm just happy that you are, that's all." he hoped that Wyatt would continue to smile more, it actually suited him through all the darkness that surrounded him.

Wyatt didn't say anything for a moment. He then turned to Logan and smiled again before looking away. "I don't smile often, that's true. But, that is usually because I have nothing to smile about." Short, and bittersweet.

Logan decided to continue making Wyatt feel better about himself, "You should do it more often..." his eyes watched as he looked away, "It really suits you." With that he let out a yawn as he stretched.

"Are you tired?" Wyatt asked, immediately. "We can rest, for a while...I am tired, as well..." He turned towards him, sitting cross-legged on the bed.

Logan who was now slowly falling asleep had his eyes lightly shut, "Mmm.. that does sound good, I could use it... I'm sure..." his words were quiet and trailing off.
