Name: Hikaru Daishi.
Age: 19.
Rank/Job: Prince.
Bio/Personality: Hikaru may have been born into royalty but to be honest, he never really like the whole thing about being praised by everyone and getting whatever he wanted. He always acted so calm about everything though, when people would give him gifts and gold he would just take it and give off a gentle smile and nod, thanking them for it. His parents; the king and queen always told him not to be thanking or being so nice to the peasents since they were weak and poor. He would just always frown and nod to them, but even when they told him to do that, he'd just contiue doing that.
Sometimes at night when everyone in the palace was asleep, he'd sneak out of the palace and roam around the city admiring everything that he was always missing out on.

Amber looked around for a place to rest. It was nightime and being she had no actual home she could only find a nice place to sleep that was different every night. She had found a place she thought would work but some people had shown up. She sighed and slipped away. As she walked she stopped looking up at the palace.
"You people in there are so lucky. You got a roof over your heads, food in your stomach and anything else you could want. While people like me are starving and have no place to sleep. All I can do is steal and hope no one catches me."
SHe sighed. No point in shouting at them. All they cared was for themselves.
She walked a little farther away and sat down on a porch. Maybe she would just not sleep tonight. Its not like it was her first time. She had lost her parents at ten and since then she never had a quiet relaxing night. No one wanted to adopt a hungry child in this place. All she could do was survive as best as she could.

Hikaru was in his room inside the palace all day today, the only reason he didnt leave was that because it didnt seem like anyone from the city was coming to visit today, but when the night came he smiled and looked out the window from his bed. Yes! Its finally dark! he thought, knowing his parents would be asleep at this time. Being the king and queen meant they were busy most of the time so he knew they usually went to sleep unbelievebly early.
He ran over toward his window and opened it letting all the night air into his room. "Ahhh...that feels much better." he said, climbing out of his window and down the side wall of the palace. Hikaru never really cared about how high up his room was from the ground; even though it was about 60ft off the ground, he would do anything to get some fresh air. Once he landed onto the ground, he began to venture around the city with a smile on his face. He'd always visit the poor people at night since he was much more caring than his parents, it was especially good for him since most of them knew him.

Amber stood up when she noticed a form walking around. She stood up so suddenly she tripped and fell to he ground with a cry.
"Damn it that hurt."
She looked at the small cuts on her hands. O well it was not that bad of a cut. She gasped when she thought about the form she saw. I hope they didn't hear me.

While Hikaru was walking through the area he usually ventured through, he heard someone give out a little yell as he turned around and saw a shadowy figure in the darkness. "Hmm?..." he asked tilting his head a bit. Most of these places he usually went to had certain people sleeping and living in certain spots, but the little spot where he saw the figure was unknown to him since he didnt remember if anyone lived in that spot or not. He slowly hid his arms into his large white cloak as he approached the figure in the dark.
Once he got close enough he realized that it was a female on the floor, she looked just like every other poor person around here, Hikaru just gave a little smile and reached out with one hand toward her. "Are you alright?..." he asked with a quiet whisper.

((No worries..I get that alot..lol))

She looked up and put a halfhearted grin on her face.
"I am fine thank you. It is just a little cut. I will be alright I promise. You should continue what you were doing. I need to go."
She stood up and dusted herself off gasping a bit as she slid dirt into her cut palms. She shook her hands vigorously to releave the pain.

Hearing the gasp come from the girl, Hikaru sighed and pulled his hand back. He just began to chuckle a little to himself when he saw how much pain she was really in and grabbed her by her wrist anyway. "Okay. We both know thats a damn lie..so lets get you cleaned up." he said, usually when he came out here to help people, it was mostly about buying them food from a nearby store or a resturant but this was about helping someone with their pain. Occasionally he'd find people like this girl in need of medical help, but never would actually bring her into the palace for the treatment since the guards would never allow him to bring someone that looked like a peasent into the palace. His father, the king, ordered the guards to do that; along with his mother, the queen, agreeing with him.
Once Hikaru had her in his grasp, he began to pull her whether or not it was by her choice or not to go to a nearby infirmary. Most of the nurses there knew the prince extremely well since he had brought people in for treatment and always paid for their bill anyway.

She stared at him a moment with a frown. He was so insistant and forceful. It was strange. It was very strange indeed. She growled and pulled against him.
"Let me go. You can not force me to do what I do not wish. Its a simple cut. I have had ten times worse. Please I have to go. I can not be seen by other people."
She had to get out of here. The building they were pulling her towards was where she had stolen some medical supplies yesterday. If they caught her they would chop off her hands.

He gasped suddenly when he felt how the girl pulled her arm back a little. When Hikaru turned around and looked at the female he noticed how she looked a bit angry at him. Why was she so angry? all he was doing was trying to help her. "B..but still...y..your hurt." he said unknowing would she had done already to the infirmary.
When he noticed how she wasnt giving up, he gave a little sigh and finally to let go of her wrist and turn to look at her face to face. "Other...people cant see you?..wh..what do you mean?" he asked in a little confusion.

She sighed looking at him. She should turn and run now but she could not. He was only trying to help and he did deserve some sort of explanation. She furrowed her brows and grabbing his arm pulled him with her.
"Come see and I will explain but not here. There are to many people around."
She pulled him to the end of a dark alley.
"Look. I am a thief. I can not be where people see me or else my hands will be cut off. That is why I could not go with you. I am sorry. Please do not tell on me. I do not wish for people to get mad at me."

At first, seeing the girl turn toward him, Hikaru was a little scared inside. Once she grabbed onto his arm he jumped for a quick moment because it came out of no where, but he slowly began to calm down and nodded after hearing that she'd explain it to him.
Once they made it to the dark ally he just stood there and listened to what she said, just hearing her say that she was theif frightened him for a moment as his eyes widened. His gut was telling him to run away and tell on her but he didnt do that for some reason; even though she was a theif she hadnt done anything to him when he tried to help her. He just gave her a small smile and shook his head. "Here." he said, taking off his large royal white cloak. "If what you say is the truth..then wear this; hide your face and body with it..lets get you something to eat and something better to wear then those draggy clothes." he said, with a little chuckle to himself pointing toward her raggy clothes. It was strange to him, she was a theif and even though Hikaru may have been nice to poor people, who would've thought he'd be helping someone like this?

"No really I do not need any help. I am used to careing for myself. I am sure you are busy with other obligations....."
She paused staring at his cloak. She walked over to him grabbing his arm and pulling him into the light. She inspected his clothes curiously.
"You are from the palace? You must be a guard or something."
Her face turned red and she began to shake.
"O no I just told you everything. You are going to turn me in and get me into trouble."
She let go of his arm and began backing away slowly before turning on heel and breaking into a full run.

Seeing how the girl was about to run, Hikaru frowned immediatly with a serious expression as he reached out and grabbed onto her shoulder tightly holding her back from running away. "Whoa there!..I'm not a guard." he said with a quick jolt as he nearly fell foward from having to stop her from bolting away. Oh man..that was close. he thought shaking his head and taking in a deep breath and exhaling it slowly. "I'm not one of those guards..I'm just the prince." he said with his little gentle smile reappearing onto his face.
"I know, I know, I do kind of wear the similar clothing that guards were behind that cloak, but hey..thats what you gotta do when your walking out here at night and on your own right?" he said with his shoulders shrugged upward and a little laugh, noticing how this theif seemed to be so scared he tried to lighten the mood with a little joke about himself.

She gasped and her face really turned red.
"The....the.......prince."
She did not know what to say. What was the prince doing out here? Why was he so insistant on her staying? Why wouldn't he just let her leave?
"Please I am so sorry. If you just let me go I will leave and never come back. I really do not wish any trouble. I have never hurt anyone and I never would. I promise that I will just disappear and yo will never even remember I existed. Please."
She looked like she was in agonizing pain. She looked like she was a scared little rabbit confronted by a pack of ravenous dogs. She was terrified.

Hikaru's eyes widened when he heard that the girl would basically leave forever. He tighten his grip onto her shoulder making sure she could leave. "No..p..please dont go..I..I want to help..please?" he asked as he looked at her with a concerned expression across his face.
This had never happened before, most of the time when he helped new people they would always be willing to accept the help especially if it was from the prince, since most people already knew how kind he was to everyone.

She frowned as she listened to him. He would not let her go. This was strange to her. All of her life no one had ever cared about her. No on cared if she lived or died. No one bothered offering her anything. Not since she was ten years old.
"What is your name?"
She stopped pulling away and just stood there letting her arms fall to her side.

When he heard her question, Hikaru took a little sigh of relief that the girl didnt leave him and decided to stay. That was too close.. he thought as he bowed his head toward the girl, even though she wasnt royalty he still did it since he didnt really ever think of anyone else outside the palace was any better then him. "My name is Hikaru...Hikaru Daishi." he said with a little smile when he lifted his head up slightly. "and who might you be?" he asked, grabbing her right hand and giving her a little kiss onto the top of the hand as a little a playful joke.

She blushed slightly when he kissed her hand. What did she do to deserve that. He was royalty and yet he was treating her like she was special and actually meant something. Like she was important and had a reason to be on earth. This was strange to her. She stared at him a moment her green eyes locked onto his eyes.
"I am Amber. Amber Cross. Why do you do that?"

Hikaru smiled softly as he noticed the redness in Amber's face. Just hearing her question made his little smile get even bigger then it already was, he knew doing that would cause her to blush and it seemed to make the mood lighten up a little. "Whats wrong with kissing the hand of such a beautiful girl?" he asked, tilting his head to the side a little. He gave a little chuckle and noticed how the night was slowly turning to day, he never usually stayed out this long; most of the time he'd leave at night to help a couple of people and return to his bed before morning came, but ever since meeting this girl. He stayed out much longer then usual. "Oh crap." he said looking up at the sky and running away from Amber as quickly as possible, while running away, he turned his head and waved toward her. "See ya' Maybe we can meet again tonight!" he said, smiling brightly and making his way back to the palace before someone noticed he was gone.

When he called her beautiful she had an odd feeling go through her body. She frowned as he left. He must not be allowed outside but she supposed she could meet him that night. Its not like she was in a hurry. Her stomach rumbled and she figure it would be nice to grab some breakfast. She went to the market trying to blend in as she walked down the path. She saw a stall selling fruits and began inspecting them as if she was going to buy. She tipped over a barrel of fruit causing the vendor to go crazy picking them up and slipped one into her shirt. She slipped down an alley and began to munch on it hungrily.
That prince guy was nice. She just wished she knew why. She could not get his smiling face out of her head.

Once Hikaru had gotten back into the palace and into his room, he was sweating unbelievably as he just collasped onto his bed closing his eyes and falling asleep immediatly. This was the first time he had ever stayed out so long, he wanted to just stay in bed all day and stay asleep but he knew for a fact that he was going to be woken up by one of the maids that worked for his parents. Since some of them had that as a job; if he were to stay asleep too long they were to come into his room and wake him up no matter what, but again just like yesterday there wasnt much to do in the palace as it seemed none of the citizens came to visit the king or queen.
Once night came once more, Hikaru waited again for everyone to fall asleep before he climbed out of his window once again. Most of the day, he was kind of anxious for the night to come to see if he'd find that same girl again.

Amber woke up and noticed it was dark. She must have fallen asleep. She stood up and peeked into the town square. It was empty and she grinned. She figured that prince would not show back up. She went over to the market and began to crawl on her hands and knees to see if any food had been dropped. She found a half rotten apple and picked it up licking her lips hungrily.

Hikaru walked around the city after sneaking out of the palace as he normally did. He went back to the orginally spot where he found Amber last night and noticed how she wasnt there today. "Hmm?...wh..where'd she go?..." He asked himself as he shrugged off the thought and began to walk around the area that was he was already in. It seemed as though most of the people he used to talk to around this area werent here today as he kept walking forward and finally ended up going into the market place. Since it was empty, it wasnt that hard to spot a dark figure in the middle of the floor. Whats that?... he thought approaching it slowly as he noticed once he had gotten close enough that it was the same girl from last night. She seemed like she was about to eat a rotten apple which shocked him for a moment. "Whoa there!! Stop!!" he yelled out reaching out one hand toward her.

Amber heard a voice and dropped the apple quickly putting her hands in the air.
"I am sorry please do not hurt me"
She had her eyes shut tight and she was trembling. She felt like she was ready to be killed. Some market guard had caught her and she was in trouble. He would stick her in jail andthe judge would have her hands removed. She wasin so much trouble. She should have just left when she had the chance.
