The waters were calm around the docks, and a deep deep blue. Tarigan looked up at his ship with a sort of pride welling in his chest. This would be his last voyage upon the Tigerlily, and one he was glad of too. As much as he had enjoyed the past ten years, a life of piracy and constant sea living was not for him.
"When shall you return?" Penelope asked him. Penelope was his lover, and as far as she was aware, his wife to be. She was a woman with smouldering good looks, her emerald green eyes twinkled in the morning sun and her curly auburn hair added a sense of passion to her. Although she was beautiful, she was not someone that Tarigan could invision spending the rest of his life with. He had known her since they were both small children, although he was always in and out of her life. She never really changed, although he had. He didn't have the heart to hurt her though, but for the most part, he was seeking his pleasures frome some of the other women around. He was not proud of that fact, but he considered it a must. "As soon as I can," Tarigan replied simply.Penelope wound her arms around his neck and he placed his hands on her waist. Giving her a quick kiss he pulled away. "I better get aboard, the new crew will be here soon." "Take care you hear?" Penelope said as Tarigan walked up the boardwalk and onto the ship. Tarigan smiled, happy to be free, even if still in sight of Penelope. He was looking forward to meeting his new crew, having never worked with them before he was unsure on whether or not they would gel with each other, but all in all, he was excited. |
* My name is John Smith not Ella anymore...I am a man I must be a man.....* She repeated to her self as she looked out into the ocean. Ella or as she refers to herself as John.....Is young and filled with wonders and dreams. she her loved ones died and she was going to be forced to marry this rich snob so she decided to leave and brake free the only way she could do that in this day and age was being a Pirate a male pirate.
She looked down at her hard shoes as she did when she dressed as a woman. She hopped no one would notice she was a she. Her beautiful face would give it away someday but at least she did not have to big of a chest which was easy to hide when she dressed male. She saw the captain coming and she got in formation with the rest ready to meet her new captain so they could start their voyage . |
Tarigan walked towards the crew that was assembled on the deck, they were a mixed bunch this time. Some were young and some were old. Some were new to the ship and others were well trained to the way of the sea. This was going to be an interesting voyage, that's for sure.
"Greetings me. I'm your Captain for this voyage, Declan Tarigan, but you shall refer to me as Captain Tarigan for the duration of this voyage. Now, I don't know any of you, so this will be a difficult first few days while we are still getting used to everyone. But as long as we each show each other respect then it shouldn't be too painful," he began. He then proceeded to look all of them in the eye. For a moment his eyes lingered on one in particular, but he swiftly moved on. "Now, the itinerary for the voyage is this. A few months ago a new island was discovered by a scientist just of the Galapagos. We are asked to go and check it out and report back to the Govenor. Anything we find and we like the look of e take back to the ship and divvy up between us. It is a virtually uncharted island, so what lurks there is not yet known. This will be a difficult and possibly dangerous joureny, so anyone who has reservations about the voyage may as well just leave now." He looked at all the crew members again. |
John tried to stay out of view as the captian spoke he did not payattention much he noticed well she noticed that she was the skinnest as well as weakiest of them all.
John looked at the floor avoiding others wondering eyes. She could not help but to think about wearing a dress and wearing her hair down she trully missed being daddy' little girl to bad daddy as well as the 'girl' were gone. She looked out into the Ocean and wondered if she would ever be that sweet and gentle fun loving girl she once was long ago. She noticed that there was a big deal of talk comming from the captian about 'resepct' She wondered how much respect there would be for her once everyone found out......... ( sorry i do not write as much as you bu i am getting there lol ^.^) |
(That's allright <3)
After noticing that no-one moved Tarigan nodded his head, his eyes swivelling over them for a thrid time. He lingered on a skinny man near the end of the line, he was staring off into space, and didn't look like he was paying the slightest bit of attention. Tarigan felt his anger rising. The impudence of this person, not bothering to listen while he was explaining things, he could see that there would be some conflict between him and this one. He wasn't as tall or as muscular as the others, so he reasoned he was one of the newbies. Still not an excuse. "You!" Tarigan barked at the man. "What is your name?" |
(( but please continue to write alot it helps me ^^))
John felt a strong sharp elbow hit her right in the ribs. She winced and looked up at the man and then saw that he was pointing somewhere she followed his finger which led to the captain who seemed very upset * what could I have possibly done already.......all I did was stand there? * She looked at him in the eyes her beautiful eyes a bit scared at first but then she drove that out of her eyes since she was a " MAn " and instead looked concerned but not fully. " Yes Captain ?" She answered her voice did not sound manly it sounded just normal. |
((For the most part I will, just the last post I didn't really have much to say ;)))
Tarigan watched as the man next to him gave him a sharp dig in the ribs with his meaty elbow. Tarigan sighed heavily, his cheast heaving. Who did this man think he was? Swanning on deck, not paying the slightest bit of attention and then hoping to swan off with half of the loot? Not on his watch. Tarigan fixed the man with an icy stare before he repeated his previous statement. "You. Glad you finally returned to the land of the living" Tarigan said sarcastically. "What's your name?" |
* Jezzz so friendly .....why not kill me * Ella looked into his eyes just as cold and opened her mouth " My name is John Smith
captain " She said in a stern voice strong but respectful. She looked into his eyes not feel scared of his cold ones she had been threw enough in her life a mean pirate was not going to scare her any time soon. The pirate next to her name was also John he was an older man and did not think that John smith would last long on the ship epically since he seemed so weak |
"Well, John Smith, you better get something into your head, and get it in fast," he said fearcely. "This is a working ship. This is a ship that has a purpose, and this voyage that we're going on is important. If you feel like you're better than the rest of us and that you don't have to listen to orders then you may as well take the lead yeah? You lead eveyrone out into the sea, into the island, into danger? Sound good?"
Tarigan noticed that John's stare was just as cold as his own, he saw this as a challenge. "No," he continued. "It doesn't sound good. If you want to make it on this ship you'll pay attention when your superior is addressing you. You will listen to orders and you will carry them out. There is no I in Team, so whatever your mother told you about being important and about being number one, forget it now. Forget it fast." Tarigan stared into his eyes once more before giving the rest of the crew a sweeping glance. |
Ella wanted to roll her eyes but she did not let her self " I herd every single word you said care for me to repeat it. " She gazed into his eyes and began to talk ""Greetings me. I'm your Captain for this voyage, Declan Tarigan, but you shall refer to me as Captain Tarigan for the duration of this voyage. Now, I don't know any of you, so this will be a difficult first few days while we are still getting used to everyone. But as long as we each show each other respect then it shouldn't be too painful,"
she looked at him wondering if he began to feel like an idiot yet she continued to speak. " "Now, the itinerary for the voyage is this. A few months ago a new island was discovered by a scientist just of the Galapagos. We are asked to go and check it out and report back to the Govenor. Anything we find and we like the look of e take back to the ship and divvy up between us. It is a virtually uncharted island, so what lurks there is not yet known. This will be a difficult and possibly dangerous joureny, so anyone who has reservations about the voyage may as well just leave now."" John lightened his gaze a bit as he stared at his Captain " I believe that was all you said Captain or am I wrong?" She knew she had said everything word for word she was very smart and few people knew that. |
Tarigan raised his eyebrows. That was exactly what he had said. Word perfect. He was silently impressed. He couldn't drop this though.
"I have my eye on you, John," he said lamely and turned his back on him. "Anyway," he continued "we have work to do. So if you'd all like to make your way down to your quarters you will see a list of names pinned to the door with the location of your bunk. With that, on your bunk you will find a task assigned to you. When you have your task report to that station and begin work. Dinner with be at seven PM sharp, and we can relax at nine. Early days and little sleep will be a trend on the ship, so get used to it." Tarigan paused for a moment and saw that no-one had moved. "Well? What are you waiting for?" |
John made his way downstairs fast the whole time he was thinking about her knew captain * What is his problem is his whore not pleasing him right?*
|
Tarigan walked up to the helm and stood at the wheel. Soon the ship would be getting unancored and they'd reach the open water, but for the time being, docked was not that bad a thing. Looking down at the pier he could see a small blot of violent red. He figured that must be Penelope, dutifully waiting to wave him off.
He felt a pain in his heart, he knew that when he got back with his loot, that he would have no room in his life for her. That he wanted out. Sighing he waved an arm out and then proceeded to check that the wheel was oiled up enough and could be used. |
John made her way to the top `of the ship deck...complaing thw whole time to her self * I have to mop the whole Damn floor.....great that no good ugly captain * She grabbed the mop and began to clean the ship deack she noticed they were headed to nothing but sea this made her happy because she was claser and cloaser to her dream
|
As the crew got there tasks and the ancors were lifted back onto the ship, the proceedings began. Penelope tossed a champagne bottle at the back of the ship as the coal miners began pumping the engines full. As they charged on Tarigan could hear her shouting from the pier.
"Take care Declan!" Tarigan shuddered slightly and looked out towards the sea. "She your wife, Cap'an?" asked one of the crew mates. "Back on task." |
John looked at the woman who looked to be saying good bye to the captain with love * Must be his lover......what can any...woman see in him......* She stated as she felt disgusted
|
"I were only askin'" the crew mate said slightly put out. He pulled slightly on a rope and began counting the knotts. "If I had a lady like that I'd want the world to know. She's hella pretty."
"I thought I said back on task?" Tarigan snapped angrilly. "Utmost concentration or you'll damn this ship before we've even left the port!" "A'right, a'right! You're the cap'an." "Yes, I am the Captain. And you'd best to remember that!" Tarigan gently shifted the wheel to send them on a westerly direction, checking the map he had pinned next to him. |
John finished mopping the whole ship deck well almost the whole ship deck.....there was one other place the place where the captain was * great well I am bound to bump into him we are on the same ship after all.* She made her way up the steps and began to mop around him trying to ignore his presence . * what that foul smell.......it must be him...gross hasn't he ever herd of a bath.....gezz * she stated as she laughed a little to herself
|
Tarigan looked over to John who was laughing to himself.
"Sailor! What's the meaning of this? Is mopping really that amusing? If so we better find you something that you can fully concentrate on!" he said coldly. |
" I am sorry Captain I mean no disrespect .....but since when has it been a crime to.......laugh to one's self......I am doing my duties....without complain.....so I do not see the problem." She stated as she gazed at him her beautiful eyes wondering what could possibly be wrong with this man...
|
"It's not a crime," Tarigan said icily. "It's weird. You are treading water here John. You are this close to get dropped off at the next port. If you don'tr buck up your ideas then you won't be staying on this ship. Have I made myself clear?"
Tarigan watched John like a hawk before turning his back on him. |
" Crystal...." John stated as she hopped down from that part of the ship and made her way down stairs to see what else she had to do. She walked into the the room filled with beer. She could not believe that these men had more beer then clean water on this ship....* idiots* She made her way to her ha-mick and grabbed her paper next on her list was to help with cooking dinner.
|
After about half an hour Tarigan had moved the ship into open water and could step down from the wheel. Liking the feeling of getting to stretch his legs again he walked down the the deck and looked at everyone working.
"Watch the sail there," he shouted to the man trying to catch the wind. "Turn it left." Walking down into his quarters he sat down at his desk and began writing a letter home to Penny. He always sent one every few weeks, but the first one he sent he never truly meant. Dear Penny. It's unreal how much I'm missing you. The days seem to stretch on forever, the nights are endless and lonely. My arms keep reaching out for you but never can they get you. What's going on with you? All good land wise? Ship life is going well, no hardships as of yet, the beer and food is flowing well. Busy though, and I cannot wait until I am back with you. Forever yours, Declan. Folding the letter up and popping it in his chest he stood up again, cracking his back. |
