What a great day! Rad raced down the beach eagerly. His feet kicking up handfull of sand flinging it everywhere behind him. A surfboard under one arm, is surface smooth and colored vibrant re's and yellows, with a pattern of dragon scales.

It felt so good to be out in the sun, away from boring school,m boring boy's home. How could anyone be happy indoors when the sun was so bright, and the wind full in your hair?

He soon hit the water, not letting it slow him down he picked up his knees to get over the rolling surf as he waded deeper in. Soon he was on his board and paddling deeper. He could see some nice waves over by the ridge, and he just knew he had to have some. He took the time to enjoy the feel of the water as he made his way over. He was never truly happy as when he was out in the ocean.

Heather swam happily through the rippling waves. She was in her dolphin form. She rarely came ashore in human form but much perfered to be a dolphin happily swimming through the huge waves of the ocean. She was a sea Nymph. That gave her the ability to have two forms. Human and some sort of ocean creature. Hers was a dolphin. She found a couple of other dolphins and romped with them for a while making circles. She jumped out of the water and splashed back into it. God being a dolphin was fun.

She noticed an odd creature making its way towards them and although the other dolphins told her they were dangerous she was curious. She had never seen a creature like this. She swam to some nearby rocks and climbed onto them her body transforming into that of a girl. She stood behind the rocks peeking over them to see what this creature was. It resembled her other appearance but she had never seen a human before so she did not know what that even was.

He finally reached the spot he wanted. HE readied his board, waiting for a good wave. It had been a while since he was able to take out his board, and man was he ever ready for a ride! It was a little rocky ahead, but he didn't think he would get that far. He would just have to be a bit more careful.

Waiting for a few minutes. he felt and almost smelled the surge of sea water. With the wave upon him he jumped on his board and rode it better than any crazy cowboy. The sea seemed to almost follow him as he swished upon the roll of water. while minding his distance from the rocks, he missed the log. It came out of the wave from behind him, knocking him off his board and rather knocking him on his head. He saw stars and water as he rolled deeper into the water. HE felt dissorianted, and his vision was hazy. Without his site, he couldn't tell which way was up or down. He wa sin trouble.

Heather frowned when he fell into the water being hit on the head with a giant log. She climbed to the top of the rock and dived in. When she touched the water she transformed instantly into a dolphin. She swam under him and lifted him up to the surface. She swam towards the shore quickly. She knew where there was a deserted inlet and made for that. She pushed him onto the shore her body transforming into a girl when she climbed out of the water. She pushed the boy up close to the shore and stared at him wondering if he was still alive.

His head was all muddled, he wasn't sure what it was at first that pulled him up into the air again. When they were reaching shore, he realized the porpoise was the source. How had the playful creature come to know of his plight? He knew they were smart but. He blinked out for a moment, his limbs brushing sand as he was pulled out of the water. With a groan he reopened them. he expected to see only sky and beach, but he found a girl next to him.

"Hello?" He asked a bit weak.

She stared at him curiously. He was quite handsome and he seemed to be ok so that was good.
"Are you ok?"
Her voice was like a lullabye. It was musical and sweet. It could make the hardest man bend to her will. She was touching his arms and fingers curiously. She had never seen such a creature and it was strange for her to be confronted by this.
"I am Heather."
She broke into a huge smile.

"uh, I think so..." he felt for the back of his head.

"Ouch, that's one big lump. No moving around quite yet for me." He grinned back up at her.
"I'm Rad, and thanks, for helping me out. I'm not quite sure what happened, Did you help me out of the water? I thought I saw a dolphin....?" He was pretty confused. the knock on his head must have had him seeing things.

She smiled at him and got on her knees next to him folding her hands in her lap.
"I am Heather. I am pleased to help you would have died. Why is it you can not breathe in the water?"
She was confused about this creature. He was interesting looking and seemed very fragile. She put her hand on his face and felt his nose and lips curiously her brow creased.

"Uh, well i don't know of human that can breath in the water, just like a bird or other land animals can't..." He said confused. This confusing girl wasn't helping his already confused mind along with his bump.

He stood still as the girl touched him, her manner like that of a curious 2 year old. 'Who is this girl?' he thought wandering.

She frowned at him.
"I am not a human. I can breathe in the water just fine. I have never even seen a human before."
She smiled and picked up his hand looking at it.

"Your...not human?" He looked at her like she was crazy. "Well you sure look human to me." He shook his head. Maybe he was still dreaming?

She giggled and stood up helping him onto his feet.
"Here I will show you."
She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the water. She set him down in the sand just close by the surf. She smiled at him and released his hand running into the water. She dived in and jumping to the surface she let him watch her quickly transform into her dolphin form. She did a couple of flips and then came back onto the shore turning back into a girl. She sat next to him and smiled.
"Can humans do that?"

He stood shakily, his footing a bit shaky upon the sand. He had lost a little blood, and was a little woozy. nothing to be in trouble over, just enough to make him want a really big double cheeseburger and fries. He watched a bit perplexed as she raced back into the water and then suddenly, his jaw dropped. She had turned into a dolphin! This time he was sure of his eyes. That's why he thought he saw a dolphin helping him. He sat down quickly, shock entering his brain.

"Uh, no! Of course not! What are you? I mean it's cool and all but....?"

She giggled again her dark purple eyes twinkling.
"I am a sea nymph. My name is Heather. I saw you in trouble and thought you needed help so I helped you. I am happy you are not sick anymore. You do not seem to be functioning properly right now though. What is wrong?"
She noticed he had pale skin and his eyes were slightly glazed over.

"I'm a bit surprised. Sea nymph's are stuff from fairy tales and stories. Humans generally don't believe in stuff like that, so to meet one is a bit of a shock." He shook his head, his brain trying to wrap around it all.

"Well mythical being or not, I am very VERY glad you helped me Heather. So thank you." He smiled a bright dazzling smile at the girl.

She smiled at him and gave him a gentle hug.
"So what is it like being a human? Is it fun? "
She looked at his hair curiously touching it with her hands.
"I will bet it is so much fun. Why do you play on the water? Is not the land better?"

"uh well I like both. On land I can skateboard and run around, but in the ocean I can swim and go surfing. I guess i really like the water. you know it's funny. I never thought about it before, but I think I feel more at ease in the water, even if I get hit by random logs." He laughed leaning back on his arms.

"What about you? what's it like to be a sea nymph?"

She giggled a moment.
"Well its never boring. I always have fun swimming with dolphins. They are fun to play with. They each have names and personalitys. I have a friend who is so boring its rediculous."

"Huh, I would never consider a dolphin boring...." he dug his hands into the sand, picking some up then letting it trail through his fingers.

((sorry mind is blank today...))

She laughed watching him.
"Are you feeling better now?"
She did not see any swelling or signs of any permanant damage. He looked like he would be ok to her.

"Yeah, I'm feeling much better." He felt the spot on his head, surprised that it wasn't hurting much.

"So I'm guessing you don't know many humans?" He asked curiously. How had she avoided contact before? Perhaps they were both lucky in meeting each other today.

She grinned.
"I have never met what you call a human before. I usually do not come this close to shore. The dolphins led me here. I think that they are just wonderful. If they had not led me here you would have died. That would have been sad now wouldn't it?"

"It most certainly would have! Although no one would mourn me, i'd be pretty sad about it." He gave a vague kind of smile. Thinking about his past, always seemed to kill his mood. Being an orphan was such a downer....

She giggled a bit.
"I like you. You are funny. So what do you plan on doing now?"
She was curious as to what this kid did.
"And why would no one mourn you?"
