Pip stopped just as he stepped out of the front doors of the local grocery store, blue eyes wide as he stared off to the left and right along the parking lot. The few lights that lit the parking lot shone a dim yellow at best, the only newly replaced one shining bright off at the back end of the parking lot.

Pip's shift had just ended, his being one of the latest in the 24 hour store. Nine o' clock, on the dot. No matter what season it was, it would be dark when he had to leave. He always stopped to look around, not for fear of the dark, but for the kids he knew sometimes waited out there in the dark for him, ready to beat him up at a moments notice. Tonight though he couldn't see any sign of the usual kids, so he smiled to himself in a puddle at his feet, then buttoned up his coat before stepping off the curb to head off to his car in the middle of the lot.

Damian wandered down the street. He was just bored. He had nothing to do right now. He noticed Pip coming out from some store and walked up to him.
"Hey Pip what are you doing out here?"
Damian had never really worried about Pip. He was just some random kid he saw in school when he was younger. He remembered what they went through in school together. It was quite sad what that poor kid let others do to him. Now Damien worked a regular job as a waiter at a restaurant down the road. He was just heading home from work but did not feel like going home and dealing with his bitchy girlfriend.

Pip looked over at the new voice with a curious tilt to his head. Whoever it was didn't sound like the usual bullies who came around. The owner of the voice was someone he had never seen around here...but he had a feeling that he knew this guy somehow. Why else would the guy come up to him so friendly like?

Pip smiled politely back at Damien. "Leaving for home, sir," he answered brightly. "What of yourself?"

"Looking for someone to waste time with. WHere do you live and do you live alone?"
Damien chuckled remembering just how gullable this kid was when he was a kid. He wondered if he could stay at pips house tonight and not have to deal with Bebe. <yes hes dating bebe> She was a real pain about this time of the month. He could never get rid of her no matter what he did and she would call and check up on him all the time. She was just annoying.

Pip frowned and shuffled his feet a little, not knowing how to answer. Of course he shouldn't be rude and outright turn down the guy, but he was still a stranger. And if there was one thing he learned for sure, it was that strangers should never be let into the house. That caused more trouble then it was worth for Pip.

Should I ask him what his name is, at least? This store is never completely deserted. Someone's always watching, so I should be safe...I think...

"I'm flattered sir, but you see, I don't know your name..." Pip answered shyly.

This made Damien laugh. It was strange that someone would forget his name so easily. He could have sworn that he had started off as Pips friend when they were in elementary school together. He sighed.
"Damien. We were in elementary school together years ago. Do you not remember me?"

Pip blinked in surprise. "You...you're Damien? I heard you went back to hell after Satan lost. How come you came back?" He couldn't imagine why a person so powerful as Damien would want to live up here among such normal people.

Damien chuckled a bit.
"I was bored. My dads being a pain and I got sick of it so im here. I was looking around for old aquantances and found you. So I thought I would pop up and say hi."
He smiled.
