Nick's day was long. He was a lawyer at his father's firm, no less. All day he sat there listening to people argue and argue and then argue some more. Sometimes he would sit there with an annoyed expression on his face as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Finally, though, he was able to go home, a destination he was far too eager to reach.

He tiredly reached his door and pushed it open tiredly. "I'm home" he grumbled out as he headed towards the kitchen for a drink... only to remember that the alcohol was gone. He grumbled and went to the fridge to get a glass of juice instead. "So, what did you three do while I was away?" he asked as he joined the girls on the couch. Technically, this was going to be the first time he met Heiwa and Hena... he was a little nervous.

Hena and Heiwa peaked around their mother as they heard the door open and looked to see who was there. They hadn't really seen Nick last night so they didn't really even think about how he had been at the adoption center... they seemed a bit bewildered and shrunken away. Mesy looked up and smiled at Nick happily. "Well... I took these two little boogers out and got them some new clothes along with myself and got some stuff that we seemed to have ran out of... like medicle suplies." she smiled then grumbled the last part knowing that it was mostly from her wounds. "How was your day love?" she asked smiling at Nick again. The girls continued to peak around their mother though made no attempts to try and speak. Truthfully it wasn't just Nick... it was all guys that they did this to now... they were scared they'd be hurt again like before.

Nick put his arm around Mesy and kissed her "very long. I got to listen to people argue all day... nonstop. I can't wait for their day in court so I'm done with them" he replied with a chuckle before turning his attention to Hena and Heiwa. "Well... I think now's a good a time as any to meet these two angels. Better now then at dinner" he replied.

Hena and Heiwa pulled themselves back so they were unseen though Mesy stood so Nick could see them. They shied away some then smiled some at Nick and both gave a sheapish wave showing that they knew he was there and talking to them. "They're a bit scared right now... remember the man they were taken from had abused them... thank goodness he did nothing more." Mesy whispered into Nick's ear as she moved to sit on the other side of him.

Nick nodded and smiled brightly at the girls. "Hi, I'm Nick. Um... So, I was planning on taking everyone out to dinner tonight, to celebrate... what's your favorite food? We can go wherever you want" he asked with a smile.

The two little girls chatted almost at a whisper for a moment then smiled in unison. "We like spageti!" they smiled and Mesy laughed some at her girls and their responce

Nick smiled widely "Italian it is, then! want to go now or later?" he asked, pleased that they answered him. If he was lucky, they would learn to at least like him... maybe trust him... call him dad... He liked the sound of that... being called "dad."

The girls chatted again for a moment then smiled at Nick and now Mesy who was practicly sitting in Nick's lap. "Now? Or soon?" Hena asked first then Heiwa picked up the other question often like twins would. Mesy smiled with her face slightly in Nick's neck and ran her lips up and down his neck almost like carising it with her lips and breathing in his cent.*

Nick closed his eyes and shivered slightly. His thoughts were muddled, his desire for Mesy clouding them. But he fought that feeling down so he could talk to Hena and Heiwa. "Meesyyyyyyyyy!!" he whined and then turned to the girls "whenever you want to eat is fine" he responded.

Mesy couldn't help but giggled some. "Sorry love." she giggled and kissed his neck one more time before pulling away. "Can we go now then?" the girls qhined some.

Nick smiled and nodded "now's fine, go ahead and get ready, I still need to put away my work stuff and get changed. Five minutes, tops, then we're off, alright?" he said and stood up. He went to the kitchen counter and grabbed his briefcase so he could take it to the other bedroom, which he had converted into a study. "Hey Mes! I can move all this stuff out and we can convert it into a bedroom for the girls" he called out as he moved to his room to hang his suit jacket up and change his shirt. He came walking out in a blue dress shirt. "You three ready?" he asked as he grabbed the car keys.

Mesy and the girls nodded smiling and Mesy came over to Nick and pulled him into a light kiss though for the sake of her doubters being there she didn't make it a long or deep kiss. :we're ready." she smiled and the girls gagged and whined some making Mesy laugh some.

Nick chuckled and kissed her back, snaking his arm around her waist. He chuckled some more when the girls whined and he led the three girls to the door. "Well then, let's go" he suggested and opened the door for them.

Twenty minutes later, they were seated at an Italian restaurant. "Alright, am I to assume you two want spaghetti?" he asked Hena and Heiwa. He hoped that they could learn to like him... maybe trust him. He liked them, at least, and he was growing to love them. He already was madly in love with their mother... would they let him be their father?

Hena and Heiwa actually were looing at the menue when Nick asked them and they both pointed out a meal at the same time to each other and smiled giggling for it had been the same meal. "We want this!" they exclaimed happily at the same time. Mesy smiled at the girls and looked threw the menu and pointed out what she wanted to Nick.

Nick smiled as he watched what he hoped would one day be his family... wait... did he seriously just think that? he loved Mesy, yeah... but was he ready for that... Of course he was, he'd go to the ends of the earth for her. Nick nodded just as the waiter arrived. Once the waiter had taken their orders, they were left alone again. "So... uh... what... um... what do you two do for fun?" he asked the twins. He sucked at small talk.

The twins thought for a long few moments. "Well... we like to, sing, dance, color, play hide and go seek, play tag, play outside, whach butterflies*he he he recap of Mesy's cuteness XD *, and we like to play in our bunny forms!!!" they smiled taking turns speaking. Mesy got a bit tickled at her twins and started giggling some at how they replied.

Nick smiled "you two sound very much like your mother" he commented as their food arrived. Once the waiter left, he turned back to the two girls "so... do you have any questions for me?" he asked, hoping they did. It'd be a step more towards a conversation rather than an interview.

The twins smiled and blushed just a bit... Just as their mother was at Nick's compliment. The girls thought for a moment then looked at each other then Nick and smiled. "Hhhhmmm... How did you and Momma meat? How long gave you known each other? Will you be like our Poppa?" they asked taking turns agai. Before they started eating and smiled happily waiting for their answears.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap!!!!!! Nick thought to himself as he tried to formulate an answer. "Well... uh... We met... a couple nights ago. It was a very eventful night, I don't think I'll ever forget it. I'm... I'm glad it happened, though, because I met your mom. As for the part about being your dad... well... do you want me to be?" he asked.

Mesy looked at Nick softly and took his hand lightly intertwining their fingures to show him she was there for him. The girls didn't seem to find anything off about his first answer though had to think on the other. "We want a Poppa... Momma likes you... If Momma likes you we can too!" the girls said at first unsure then smiled widely close to the end of what they were both saying together.

Nick smiled and squeezed Mesy's hand back. His smiled got even wider when the girls said they could like him. "I'm honored. Thank you, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world, to have three wonderful angels in my life. I promise to do everything in my power to take care of you" he said. He would protect them from anything that tried to hurt them... including himself. He just hoped it didn't come down to that.

Mesy smiled at Nick and the girls smiled happily then went back to eating thinking if there was anything else they could ask him. "Who's that lady?" the girls finally ask another question looking at a woman that was staring at the four..... no shocker on who it was. Slowly she started at the table and Mesy let out a low quiet growl... though it was loud enough for Nick to hear.

Nick looked up and sighed. "Excuse me" he muttered and stood up, walking over to her. "Elizabeth, what do you want? I haven't done anything. I'm just eating dinner with my family. Don't tell me you just happened to be walking past us, because you were staring right at us. So out with it, why are you bothering me? can't you just let it go?" he asked. Please... just let it go... I'm happy with Mesy... I don't want to leave her... But I don't know what I'll do if you want me back, he thought to himself.

"Ow I was actually coming here for dinner when I saw you... though I would like to ask about what happened? I know you and there's something going on... Who was that child that I had seen? The one that came out of nowhere? And that girl? I know she can't be your girlfriend... thoaugh that is what you told my mother when she came by. I know for a good fact you don't get over things that easily. So mind if I ask." Elizabeth said and cought a glemps of Mesy over Nick's shoulder... glaring directly at her almost with a spine chilling death stare in her pure whitish-blue eyes... which she had aquiered from death.

Nick stared at Elizabeth "You're right... I don't get over things that easily. And you and I have a lot of history behind us. But you left me... you screwed me up, Liz. I managed to find Mesy before I could get any worse. She knows that I'm still attached to you... but that doesn't mean we can't try. I'm happy with her, and she's happy with me. Can't you just leave it alone?" he asked. He turned around and walked back to the table. he was not in the mood to talk to her. He reached under the table and grabbed Mesy's hand, almost certain that Elizabeth was going to approach them. His hand was shaking slightly, he needed Mesy. He didn't want to leave them. He hope beyond hope that Elizabeth didn't want him back... because he didn't want to be forced to choose between them... he didn't know which way he would go.
