Nick froze and the pipe in his hands dropped. This was not his ex. He stood there, staring at the little girl. His eyes shifted to the bloody and beaten form on the ground. That girl was dead, that's for sure. The little girl, though... he wasn't sure. Great... now I see dead people... maybe I am crazy... either way, I'm a monster. I just killed her, he thought to himself. He dropped to his knees and curled up, pulling slightly at his hair as he bit back an anguished cry. He sat that way for a few moments before he dared to look at the little girl.

(*pinches bridge of nose* the post was absolutely fine I just meant with him taking the body home... he doesn't really need to do that the little girl would be the greater concern right now XP )

Nick swallowed and held her. He couldn't believe it, this girl was leaning against him for comfort... and she's alive. But he could still see the angry welts from where he'd hit her. The gash in her head was still there. It made him want to scream in agony. He knew that he'd killed her, he'd killed her because in his drunken state, she looked like his ex. Mesy sniffled again then cocked her head to the side thinking some. "Mesy Usagi! Who are you?" she smiled squeaking some looking just like a normal little girl... except for, of course, the scares that weren't actually deep... unless you were focusing on them... if not then they were unknown to the touch

"Nicholas Kalayin... you can call me Nick, though. How old are you?" he asked. He brushed his finger against the place where the pipe had connected with her head. He inspected her, noting how young she was. He grimaced on the inside when he realized where his thoughts were going I'm a crazy pedophile!!! he chided himself as he focused on the scars that were visible.

"Uh... um how old I am or how old I look?" Mesy asked cocking her head to the side again as she looked up at Nick and smiled childishly just seeming to be a happy girl... despite all the marks all over her... truth be told she was... and she more then likely wouldn't really be mad at him for killing her... just a bit scared of him... though this age didn't know that pain or even really pain at all.

Nick blinked "there's a difference?" he asked mildly as he looked her over again. "Well then... um... both, I suppose" he told her, mildly wondering if she knew that he'd killed her. If she didn't... well he wasn't all that inclined to bring it to his intention.

(Ow do remember she looks a lot younger then her real age and the age she died in... she looks like that second pic right now though the first is the one she died in)

"Um... I know I look like... 7? Well somewhere around 10... um... I... I think I'm 19? uh... YEAH! Yeah I'm 19!" Mesy smiled with a giggle not seeming to take much serious right now. Slowly her expresion changed to one of deep thought as she stared down at her hands then jumped out of Nick's lap quietly. She looked around for a moment though didn't seem to be seeing anything. Somehow she dissapeared for a moment then her form showed up again... though... this time she was like her body... like her bloody battered body... just... not exactly bloody. Her lovely white dress had been covered and painted in her own blood and the fabrick was torn slightly. She was sitting on the floor her hair fanned out behind her though her head wasn't up so she didn't see Nick yet. At the top of her head where her hair started, it was a deep crimson, the lower you looked down her hair the lighter it was and at the middle it was ubruptly interupted with her pure white hair that ran to her knees.

19? What the heck? he asked himself then watched as the "little girl" jumped out of his lap and changed to the form of the woman he killed. It was was though his heart and breathing had literally stopped. He stared in horror at the woman, this one had more of the appearance of when she died. He backup up and fell off the bed. Cursing, he got up and ran out of his bedroom, shutting it behind him. He couldn't face her. What am I going to do!? Why did I even bring her home?!?! he asked himself.

For a long moment after Nick left Mesy didn't seem to notice. Slowly her thoughts pulled together and she looked around wondering where the heck she was and how she got here. She then recalled being beaten though still didn't understand... this had to be just some crazy dream, she thought to herself though when she looked down at her dress she saw the blood on it then saw through her to the floor... this was real!

Nick was sitting on the floor, his back against his bedroom door. His eyes were wide as he stared at the wall. His hands were shaking, he desperately needed alcohol, it's how he solved all of his problems. But he couldn't... last time he did that, he killed the woman currently in his bedroom. He wondered how she would react, if she would react. Part of him wished that she'd kill him so that his pitiful life would end and he can be punished for his sins. "I'm sorry" he whispered.

Mesy looked up when she heard the soft words and looked around again. Slowly she gut to her feet and looked around again. She then walked to the door then freaked out when her hands somehow phased through the solid door and she cought herself before she hit the floor. She sat up then fell back on her hands some when she saw Nick and her soft white eyes widened as she stared at him and knew this wasn't a dream.

Nick shivered as Mesy passed through him. He then stared at her in horror as their eyes met. He didn't deserve to even be remotely attracted to her, not after what he did. He curled up in a sort of bowing position "I'm so sorry... I... I let go of myself... and... and I thought you were someone else... and... my actions are inexcusable and I don't expect and ounce of forgiveness... but I am truly sorry... you have no idea how disgusted I am with myself for allowing myself to do that" he said, daring to look up at her in the end.

Mesy blinked and stared at the man sitting in front of he r. Her eyes were soft as she looked into his eyes quietly. What was she to say? Ow it's okay you just killed me is all, no biggy? She didn't know so she just didn't say anything as she sat there.

Nick looked away again "I... I don't know why I brought you back here... gosh I need a drink" he muttered, yet stayed where he was. He didn't want to get drunk again. Though... it wasn't like he could actually kill her again. "That's my problem, you know" he started as he leaned against the wall. "I drink away my problems... when my girlfriend left me, I went to alcohol for comfort. In the dark... when I was drunk... you looked like her. Unfortunately... I'm a violent drunk... and I took it too far... how are you still... 'alive?'" he asked.

"How the heck am I to know?" Mesy said and looked very unsure about the topic as she continued to look at Nick. What was she to do here? Why was she still here? She didn't know though she moved so she could sit on her legs and stared at her tattered and blood ridden dress.

Nick sighed and rested his head against the wall "well... you can stay if you want. You're free to do anything you want to me, don't worry about holding back. I suppose that's why I brought you home... part of me wanted to make it up to you, even though the other part thought that was a dumb idea because you were dead. Well... now I have my chance. So... do whatever you wish... leave, live here... it's your choice" he said, noting how pretty her lips looked, despite the bloody and beaten appearance of the rest of her body.

Mesy stared at him a bit longer then slowly shook her head. "I... I could never hurt anyone... I would never try unless they hurt me... though... there's no point... I don't hold grudges even though... even though... I'm dead..." she said softly and those last words seemed to finally hit her... she was dead... non of this made sense... her existence never made sense in the first place in her mind... though... now... now nothing made any sense to her... at all.

Nick let out an exasperated sigh "I killed you! I'd say that qualifies as me hurting you!" he exclaimed. She really did look a lot like his ex... but Mesy was different. She was... better. She could've been an awesome hook-up if she was alive... hmm... her child form is sol--STOP THAT! that's just wrong! I don't care if she is 19. She looks 10, and she's dead! Killed by me, no less. That's just wrong on so many levels! he chided himself, ignoring the voice that told him to just mess with the spirit form, then. "So... you're not sure why you're still... 'alive?'" he asked, unsure of how to describe her.

mesy thought for a long monent then shook her head quietly. "I guess you're right..." she she sighed softly then shook her head slowly. "Ilve just grown tired of trying to get back at those that hurt me... I wouldn't hurt you anyway... what would the point be of it? I'm dead how can even trying to hurt you make me feel any better?... I'm still in pain... and I don't like causing others pain... Even if they cause me pain..." she murmured softly looking down at her legs and sighed. Somehow she just feel that Nick was having an inner conflict... though the feel of it told her she didn't want to know.
