The overwhelming sense that he was needed was what pulled Nick away from his slumber. "What is it?" he asked in a tired mumble. He pried his eyes open and noticed that the room seemed to be getting darker. He snapped his eyes open and was awake instantly. He tightened his hold on Mesy and waited "don't worry about it, I'm here" he whispered, kissing her head.

"Ah ain't that sweet. I see you two haven't been pulled apart then huh?" The dark voice said as his shadowed cloked form emerged from the darkest corner of the room. "Well it seems that you have mostly stuck to your deal...though now you may want to keep a closer check on her. My end of the deal is now being turned to the other part. I gave you a week now you have to manage to keep her from bleading to death. I kept that promise that she wouldn't die from bleading though now you may want to make sure those wounds stay nice and clean or... you both may be getting a visit from me and from the looks of it I do not beleive you wish those two little girls to go back to the home now do you." the man said and Mesy had burried her face in Nick's chest as she trembled and seemed to almost be in a panic... that was probably the case by how frightened she was at the thought of them both dying.

Nick held Mesy close and gently rubbed her back "fine, you've given your warning, now get out of here!" he ordered. He was irritable when he was sleepy, and he was very sleepy. He was not going to let either of them die... he said he'd protect her, and that promise now included Hena and Heiwa. "It's alright, Mes... I'll take care of you, ok? don't worry, I'm here... I'm not going anywhere" he whispered.

The man smirked snapping his fingers then left without another word... Though the darkness stayed for a bit. When he had snapped Mesy gasped then whimpered and burried her face even deeper into Nick's chest her whole form shaking as she started to cry... Both from the pain and the panic that she had been hurled into with the reappearence of death.

Nick pulled her close and simply held her, whispering sweet words of comfort. "He's gone, it's alright. He had really no reason to come, we've been holding up our end of the bargain, and we'll continue to do so. It's alright" he whispered before placing a kiss on her lips. "Do you need anything? do I need to fix your bandages? you going to be ok?" he asked. He wanted to go back to sleep, but his first priority will always be the welfare of his family.

It took her a few minutes to calm herself down enough to speak and even when she did it was very very distorted and shaky. "I think the handages need to be changed and I am a bit thirsty." she said quietly her voice quivering and still sounding upsetted. She even was still panicking quite a bit and it showed.

Nick placed a tender kiss on Mesy's lips and then stood up. He stumbled over to the bathroom, grabbed the first-aid kit, and a glass of water. He brought the items back to the bed and handed the water to her. "Shirt" he instructed, making a spinning motion with his finger. Indicating that he wanted her to turn around and remove her shirt so he could re-dress her bandages.

Mesy took a dink then turned and took off her dirt revealing that the wound had deffinently needed changing to help keep it from getting infected.

Nick removed the bandages, placed a kiss between her shoulder blades, and pulled out the disinfectenct. "Alright, here's the alcohol" he warned before placing the alcohol pad over her wounds. They were healing, slowly, but surely. He cleaned out the wounds, applied the antiseptic, and the re-applied the bandages. "Alright, all done. Do you need anything else?" he asked, secretly hoping the answer was a no so he could get back to sleep.

"Nope" Mesy said quietly still shaking from the horrible feelings that the man had brought her. She was terified of the man and subconsiously scared that he would come back and kill them anyway.

Nick smiled and laid back down "good. Let me know if you need anything, I'm going to try and get some sleep, alright?" he told her as he pulled the covers over him. He waited, however, for Mesy to join her place in his arms. He didn't want to go to sleep without her there, especially since she was so scared.

"Okay" Mesy said softly as she laid back down and curled up to Nick her body still trembling some from the fear and anguish the shadowed figure brought her.

Nick held Mesy close and ran his fingers through her hair "shhhhhhh... it's alright... he's gone. I won't let him take you away" he whispered. It always upset him whenever she was upset. He kept whispering comforting words while stroking her hair until he gradually fell quieter and his hand slowed down. He'd fallen asleep.

Slowly Mesy also drifted asleep though was later woken by a small shift in the bed then the warmth of another body to her back then saw a little black head crawl up to curl up behind Nick then lay down curled to his back just as her sister was to Mesy. Slowly Mesy reached back and gently strokeked Heiwa's head then reached over and stroked Hena's head having a feeling they had also had a nightmare and were looking for comfuret in their parents.

Nick slept until mid-morning, and even then he was exhausted when he woke up. He was about to turn over onto his back, but he felt something against him. He craned his neck and saw Hena sleeping. He smiled then noticed that Heiwa was behind Mesy. He shifted until he could lay down on his back without disturbing the little angel. He put his arm around Hena and stroked her hair. He laid that way for awhile until around 11:30. His court session was at 3:00, but he had to be there at 2:00. His mind raked over what he needed to do, and decided in the end, that 11:30 was a good time to get out of bed and get ready. He always spent more time on his appearance on court days, mainly so he wouldn't have to worry about looking bad while he was presenting his argument. As he shaved, he went over the argument in his mind. As much as he loved the three girls on his bed, his mind was set to focus on the case. It was going to be the case until he got home. He had no clue when that was going to be, no one ever knows how long a court case will take. He just hoped that he'd get home at a decent enough hour.

Mesy awoke when she felt Nick's warmth slowly she got up herself and went and fixed his lunch then waited for him to get out of the bathroom. She hoped tonight he would get home early. She realy wanted him to spend some time with her and the girls.

((GAH! I tried T.T I keep forgetting which is which, i'm lucky i remembered the names >.< alright, heiwa=black hair, hena=white... yes?))

Dressed for success, and ready to go, Nick emerged from the bathroom and headed to the kitchen, pleased to see Mesy there. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "I'm going to be in court today, I don't know when it'll end. I could be home as early as 4:00, and as late 8:00. Unfortunately... it's pretty much out of my hands. I'll do my best to make it a speedy trial, though" he told her before sitting on one of the bar stools. "I don't need to leave for another hour and a half, though, so I'm all yours. Did you sleep well last night?" he asked.

Mesy smiled and moved to Nick and sat in his lap then kissed his lips softly. "Other then my panic? And the two little munchkins croaking in bed with us? I slept wonderful. And I'm fine with whatever you want, so what do you want mister binsiness?" she smiled brushing her lips against his neck lightly knowing he loved it and it drove it crazy.

Nick smiled and leaned his head back, letting out a small moan. "Honestly... I think you're doing just fine... you managed to push work out of my head. I'm... still trying to decide if that's a good idea or not. But I'm definitely relaxed" he mumbled as he wrapped his arms around Mesy's waist.

Mesy grinned and kissed his neck lightly. "I'd say it's a wonderful thing... I'll keep an eye on the time if you like." she smiled kissing up to his lips then kissed him deeply and lovingly.

"Please and thank you" Nick muttered to kiss her back. Every now and then, the stress of the massive case would come upon him, but then Mesy's kiss would shoot it down before it could even establish itself. He really couldn't focus. He promised himself that he'd think about the case on the way to the courthouse. With that promise made, he picked mesy up and walked over to the couch.

Mesy grinned and wrapped her legs around his waist and ran her lips up and down his neck and jawline. She was happy right here, in his arms, kissing him, stradling him.

Nick smiled and continued to kiss Mesy like his life depended on it. He became lost in her touch, her scent, her taste... everything about her. It was as though the rest of the world didn't exist... he certainly wasn't aware of the clock moving.
