Nick nodded and led them to the counter "what do you two want?" he asked as he mused over the menu wondering what he should get. Deciding it shouldn't be that hard to order fast food, he led them to the counter and then he ordered first, just to give them more time. Once he'd ordered, he looked at the girls.

The twins thought for a moment then chatted quietly for a second and smiled. "CHICKEN NUGGETS!... and we like sprite." they smiled in unison and started giggling happily before Mesy smiled and ordered her food as well as the girls knowing exactly what they wanted past chicken nuggets.

It wasn't long before they had their food in hand. Nick led them to a table and sat them down "alright then... eat up" he declared and took a bite out of his burger. "SO, what did you three do while I was away?" he asked, hoping he could start a conversation.

"We watched funny movies!" The girls anounced after taking a bite of fries and Mesy snickered some at her girls as she took a bite out of her berger. "Flushed Away... shreck... hm.... Finding Nemo... one more though can't think of the name." Mesy smiled though the twins were now staring off into the playland watching a few kids playing in the maze like kid sized tower.

Nick smiled "that's awesome, sounds like fun. Better than my day, at least. All I got to do was argue with people. The act in and of itself can be quite entertaining sometimes, but it's still arguing. Hena, Heiwa, the sooner you finish dinner, the sooner you can join them, so eat up" he told them. He turned to Mesy "how're you feeling?" he asked, worried that her condition had somehow worsened while he was away. It was strange... at this point it was almost guaranteed that he'd marry Mesy... they already have a family together and everything... yet he's holding back. Is it because he's not completely over Elizabeth? Does that mean that after he settles things with her, he'll propose to Mesy? He already had the ring, never been used before... what does the future hold for them?

The girls smiled and were done in just a few minutes then had dashed into the playground and taken off their shoes. "I'm alot better... Why that happened I have no clue... Though now it's gone... I think we should just be careful with thoughts... Hopefully that's the only isue." she smiled some and leaned against Nick then smiled up at him.

Nick wrapped arms around Mesy and smiled before planting a kiss on her lips. "Hopefully. But... one never really knows. I'm sorry for earlier... I really am" he whispered as he nuzzled his face into her neck. Truthfully, he was scared that thoughts would show up again on his lunch date with Elizabeth. In fact, he was almost certain... besides... how was he supposed to find closure if he didn't let his feelings out? Doing that involves thinking about her. "Mesy... when... when I have lunch with Elizabeth... I'm going to have to think about her. Otherwise the whole meeting would be pointless. I'm going to have to think about what I wanted with her... what I could've had with her... what I did have with her... everything. I promise you that you are the one that I want right now... but I can't find closure if those thoughts are still festering in the back of my mind" he explained, pulling her onto his lap.

"Yeah... I know... I just... I'm just concerned about what would happen... I don't know what would happen... maybe it was only because I was mad? Maybe because she was close... maybe it was just worry about our family... I'm not sure though I know you need closure... that's for the best for sure..." Mesy said softly and settled in Nick's lap comfurtably then leaning against him as she watched the girls playing in the playground. "You know... I didn't think about it before but... the girls kinda look like the both of us... your hairs almost black and mines white... huh... that's kinda funny when you think about it." she smiled easily as she watched her girls playing.

Nick pulled her closer and smiled when he heard her description of the girls. "You have no idea how wonderful that just sounded to me" he mumbled into her neck. He loved the idea of the twins legitimately being his own. At the same time, though... it scared him. Because then he'd be that much closer to the need for a wedding... and he... he wasn't sure about the whole wedding thing.

"Yeah... at least you're not the jirk that is their biologicle father... huh... he was a druggy... not an alcoholic. Ow an he didn't have a girl friend... not a permanent one and never just one... he just didn't care..." Mesy said softly and lightly ran her fingers threw his hair and kissed him lightly on the cheek. Every so often she would look up to check on the girls though could only smile seeing them having fun and being happy.

"He sounds absolutely horrible. I'm glad you're away from him" Nick commented and pulled Mesy closer. "You've got me now... I'll take care of you... and the girls... and anything else" he promised as he nuzzled his face into her neck, placing delicate little kisses on the tender skin.

Mesy started giggling some when she felt Nick's kisses and was trying to hold back from laughing. "Stop Nick that tickles!" she laughed some though tried to hold it back as she felt his lips and breath on her skin.

Nick chuckled but did not yield to her protests. instead, he continued. "Never, fair maiden. You are mine and I will do with you what I wish" he declared with a chuckle as he moved his lips up to her ear. "Be glad we're in public" he whispered softly into her ear.

Mesy giggled a bit more and was breathing rather heavily. "Well then... I guess I'm in trouble when the girls go to bed aren't I?" she smirked some at his comment and moved so she could give him a light kiss on the lips and grinned at him a bit playfully.

Nick let out a low chuckle "you're very much in trouble. Now that we have our bedroom to ourselves, I intend to take advantage of it" he replied as he trailed his lips along her jawline. He checked the time and called out to the girls. "Alright, time to get going. Bedtime soon" he informed them. He didn't move, though, he was going to wait until the girls arrived before he left his seat.

"Better lock the door though... If you remember we had two little bed bugs creap up on ous llast night." Mesy commented then laughed some when she heard the girls whining from the top of the play area. "AH!!!" the girls whined though soon came back to the table pouting at their parents.

Nick stood up "I know, I know. I'll take you to the park sometime this week to make it up to you, I promise" he vowed as he took out his keys and led them to the car. "Did you two have fun?" he asked as he helped them into the car. He slid into the front seat and started the car.

"YEAH!" the girls anaunced together and Mesy smiled happily always seeming to love it when the girls spoke at the same time. She then looked to Nick and playfully gave him a teasing pout like thatlook of a child when they know you have something for them but won't give it to them.

Nick smiled "I'm glad" he commented. He briefly caught the look on Mesy's face as he was backing out. Once he started driving, he spoke to her "why're you giving me that look? What do you want?" he asked. The only time he'd seen that look was on the face of his young nephew who turned three last month. Whenever he gave that look, he always wanted something, and he knew you had it. He had to admit, he wasn't fond of seeing it on anyone, especially when it was directed at him.

"You not to attack me." Mesy grinned some. She had a feelling he hated that... But that's why she did it right? To teas him and be a bit goofy. Truthfully she didn't mind she was just playing with him... And that was abvious. She then looked back to her girls and smiled seeing that they were asleep.

Nick pouted "oh, alright. I'll be gentle" he agreed, playing along. couple minutes later, he'd pulled into the apartment building parking lot and had parked his car. He helped the girls out and then they walked back up to the apartment. "Alright, you two, go on and get ready for bed, alright?" he told them once they had made it home. He opinion was, just so long as they were ready for bed, they could stay up for a little while longer if he wanted.

((So I was thinking that the lunch with elizabeth happens the next day. thoughts?))

Mesy grinned some and once they were in she help the girls get ready for bed and tucked them in... they were too tired to stay up anyway. She then walked into their room and got dressed in her pajamas... only having the feelling that there was no point to it. She then just sat on the bed and waited for Nick to come in and shut the door.

Nick smirked when he saw Mesy head into their bedroom, but didn't follow. He still had a tiny bit of work he had to do. He needed to write up a report of the case and he'd rather take notes now while it was still fresh in his mind. Good new was, it would take five to ten minutes tops. He quickly jotted down some notes and then headed to his bedroom where he was pleased to find Mesy sitting on the bed. He smiled and locked the door before he approached her. He crawled over her and claimed her lips.
