Nick sighed "I know... but I can almost guarantee that once my mom hears there's kids involved, she'll have our entire wedding planned by the time we show up. She's been getting after me for years to get married and give her some grandkids. At least she'll be partly satisfied with the twins" he told her and nuzzled his face into her neck. "I've just... never mind. What happens, happens" he sighed.

"What? What were you going to say? Say it please you know I hate when you do that." Mesy whined some to Nick wondering what he was thinking... she wasn't a mind reader after all... she was a usagi and that was it. She couldn't help but smile though at the thought of getting married... she wondered if that would actually happen... would she actually marry Nick? Would tthey have kids together?... she couldn't help but wonder...

Nick sighed and was silent for a few moments as he contemplated how to answer. "Let's just say... I never felt welcome at home, when I was younger. But, enough of that. What will come will come. It's just one day, perhaps it will be better this time" he answered, fighting back his painful memories.

"Ow... okay... hey I didn't make you upset by asking that did I?" she asked softly hoping she didn't. Truthfully right now she just wanted to spend some time with Nick with no interuptions... though she knew that the girls would be in soon... she just didn't know when.

Nick shook his head and managed a small smile "no, I was already upset by my dad... I'll be alright, I promise" he assured her, wrapping his arm around her. He planted a kiss on her cheek and lingered there, savoring every moment with her. He pulled her onto his lap and simply held her. He didn't want to think about anything. Not about thanksgiving, his parents, his family, and definitely not about his past.

"OKay... is there anything I can do to make you happy again?" Mesy asked kissing him lightly on the lips and folding her arms around his neck hoping he didn't mind. She smiled at him some and nuzzled into his neck a bit kissing it lightly just oving being so close to him...

Nick smiled and kissed Mesy. "No... I"m already plenty happy. Let's just... not talk about it, ok? Thanksgiving will come soon enough, then we can... attack the day as it comes" he told her before pulling her closer so he could kiss her again.

Mesy smiled and nodded kissing him back right away. "Okay..." she agread easily against his lips though didn't want to dreak the kiss... really what she had said last night wasn't exactly the truth... sometimes... like right now, she did crave it... she just didn't normally let it show... especially knowing her girls could pop in any time.

Nick smiled and kissed her again before pulling away slightly "where are the girls? Did you have a good day? What did you do? What should we do now? why I am suddenly so energetic" he asked, smiling at the end. He leaned forward slightly until their noses touched and his lips hovered just above hers.

Mesy laughed some at how many questions he was asking at once. "Too many questions! Take a breath why don't ya and let me answer one at a time! SHEESH!!! Okay well I cleaned and worked on the house most of the day... I think the girls have and still are playing in their room, and I don't know why the heck you are so high!" she laughed lightly and gave him a light kiss on the lips though not pulling away after she had moved her lips from his. "And I don't know that one either... do you have something that you want to do? You know we pretty much have all day..." She asked lightly as she nuzzled his nose with hers.

Nick smiled and darted his tongue out to lick her lips. "I don't know... what do you suggest? we could do a little" he paused as he traveled his hands down and to the hem of her shirt. "maybe a little" he paused again and kissed her neck. "finally... some of this" he stopped and claimed her lips, pushing her down onto the couch and to explore what he already knew like the back of his hand.

Mesy smiled some and kissed him back right away though had to pull her lips away while she could still think straight. "Nick not in here! Remember... the girls are awake... in our room please, I really don't want to take a chance on them walking in on anything ya know." she complained some though really kinda wanted to continue... she just didn't want to girls to come in on that... that wouldn't be good at all.

Nick chuckled and pulled away, pulling Mesy up to a sitting position. "Or, we can always watch a movie. That's plenty safe, don't you think?" he asked, putting his arm around her.

Mesy smirked some "Later then?" she asked lightly and smaled a bit. "What movie?" she asked lightly thinking on some of the movies she had seen in his colection and wondered witch one he liked the most. If it was any other time... if it was night time after the girls were asleep... she would let him... though the girls weren't asleep and she didn't know how long they would stay in their room

Nick shrugged "I don't know... I picked the movie last time, it's your turn" he told her. "Honestly... I don't care what we watch. I'll probably zone out in the middle. My dad always wears me out, so whatever you want to watch is fine" he added.

"Okay then... how about this?" Mesy smiled picking up one of her favorite movies and showing it to Nick before popping it in. "Ya want me to make some pop corn?" she asked lightly and smiled at Nick lovingly.

"Sounds wonderful, to both the movie and the popcorn" Nick agreed as he set the movie up and settled in the couch. He was feeling oddly tired, but he was determined to stay alert and enjoy his time with Mesy.

"Okay then I'll be right back." Mesy smiled easily going to the kitchen and popping a bowl of popcorn. She cand back in a moment later and sat down with Nick and cuddled close to him as the movie started. She sat the bowl in his lap so they could share and watched the movie contently.

Nick smiled, kissed the side of her head, and put his arm around her. He loved how soft her skin was, he realized. He delicately moved his hand up and down her arm, enjoying the soft feel of it. He had no clue was was going on in the movie, he was too focused on the beautiful woman beside him. Her skin was so soft, especially compared to his calloused and rough hands. He used his other hand to tilt her chin up so she was looking at him and then he brushed his lips against hers before claiming them gently.

Mesy smiled and kissed him back lovingly. Sha kinda knew that he wasn't focused... She didn't really mind though. she let the kiss deepen a bit rapping her arms around his neck lightly.

As he kissed her he let his hands wander around her skin. Anything exposed was subject to being caressed. He just loved how soft she felt, especially compared to his hands. He loved how perfectly her lips molded with his. He loved the feeling of absolute love, coming out of her. It... blew him away. This was one of those tender moments when he was content to just kiss her. When he just wanted to love her. In his mind, when sex was brought in, the moment was worried. At the very least, he wanted to treat her like a queen. His queen... his... queen. His queen. His... wife?

Mesy smiled some under Nick's lips and kissed him a bit more before desiding she wanted to make out this time... She had always let him choose couldn't she every now and again? Slowly she let her tongue into his mouth and was just loving the kiss... And his toutch on her soft skin. She didn't really mind that his hands weren't very soft... That didn't matter to her. What mattered was that he would actually toutch her and make her feel this way.

Nick chuckled when he felt Mesy's tongue enter his mouth. He accepted it and continued to kiss her. He loved her more than words could describe. He just sat back and allowed her to lead the kiss where she wanted to take it.

Mesy kissed him a bit more letting her tongue play with his though did soon pull away... she wasn't used to or good at leading... and plus they did need to breathe after all. "You know I love you right? I love you so very very much... I would say that I love you more then anything else... but it wouldn't exactly be true... though I love you in a different way then I do my dobters... other then them I love you more then anyone else." she smiled leaning her forehead against his and smiling at him lightly and lovingly.

Nick smiled and trailed his lips to her neck, placing a tender kiss on her tender skin, inhaling her sweet, sweet scent. "And I, you" he whispered. Funny... this would be the perfect moment to propose if he wanted to. It wasn't like he was going to be with anyone else. He loved her more than life itself. He'd already adopted her daughters as his own... why couldn't he gather his courage. He knew the answer, though... he was afraid of being rejected, like he was with Elizabeth. But this is Mesy... it'll be different, he thought. He... he had to do this. "I love you more than life itself. If you left me... I'd die... literally" he told her, slightly chuckling at the end. "What... what do you think about my mom... who's probably planning our wedding as we speak?" he asked. He wanted to know what she thought. It was now or never. He didn't want to propose to her because he felt pressured from family. He wanted to on his own terms.
