Nick sighed and stood up to clean lunch up "you stay there, I'll clean up" he told her as he took care of everything. "Where do I start? Well... besides my parents, I have a younger brother and had an older sister, I told you about her already. Anyway... my dad was always away on business, doing something. Whenever he was home he was always working. At least he never paid any attention to the other two, so everyone felt rather bitter at him for that. My mom... is very interesting. She... tried hard to raise us right, but it's kind of hard... without the father. My sister started drinking when she was 14, but there was a ten year age difference between us. Both my brother and I were adopted because my mom lost the ability to have children after my sister. Anyway, sister drank, ended up accidentally killing herself when she was 21. Once she could do it legally, she did it non-stop. Then she tried to stop... and failed. But you already know that story.

Anyway... my brother is just a year younger than me so we tended to play together when we were little, but as time went on our interests went in different paths... and I was left alone. The only good thing my dad ever did was get me a job when I graduated from law school. That's it, really. My mom's really sweet but she can be a bit overbearing sometimes. My dad's distant except on holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas, my brother is smart and the typical brother, annoying but there for you when you need him. At least now he is. I don't know much about his wife, I've been avoiding the family get-togethers since I left for college. Occasionally I've been forced in, but I never really enjoyed being around my family" he explained.

"Wow... Uh... Your family seems just a bit screwy you know that right?" Mesy couldn't help but giggle a bit. "I'm sorry you know I don't mean anything by that... How am I suposed to know screwy when my family was even worse?" she laughed again some then sighed a bit. "At least your mother cared and you have a brother that loves you... Mine didn't care... My mom wanted me dead... My dad screwed me over once and one of my brothers friends raped me and got me pregnant... My sister was actually kinda lucky... She 'accidebtly' drowned in the bathtubs and my mom 'didn't know'... She tried to drown me too... But I saw what she did to my sister and ran... I was only five and our nabors loved me and my sister..." she murmured softly looking down a bit... She hadn't talked out her sister in years... It was odd for her to now.

Nick nodded to show he understood and walked over to her, having finished cleaning up. He picked her up gently, carrying her bridal style to their bed. "Sounds pretty bad. We must be meant for each other... both of us coming from hard lives. I wouldn't exactly say that my mom cared, or that my brother loved me. By the time my mom got over the stress of having to raise us on her own, my sister was dead, leaving me behind, traumatized. I couldn't be fixed after that. No matter what anyone tried, they couldn't help. My brother only tried to help because of the strain that it put on my mom. There's a reason why I never felt any love at home... why I can't accept the fact that anyone could love me, even to the smallest degree. you life still beats mine... but I was never really welcome in the home" he said softly, gently cradling her in his arms.

"Ah I'm sorry love... But your life made you who you are... I don't think we would know each other if it wasn't for our pasts." Mesy said softly then smiled some when Nick picked her up and took her to their room. She wrapped her arms around his neck lightly and nuzzled into his neck lightly.

Nick smiled softly "maybe... maybe we would've met under better circumstances, though... Yeah, they made me into who I am... Elizabeth saved me from myself... but she could never fix me. You did that. Elizabeth never got me to quit drinking. You did that. Maybe if I had a better life, I would've turned out like this at the beginning. Maybe I would've met you under better circumstances. No... I would change my life if I could... I just have to be glad that it fixed itself as soon as it did" he told her, his eyes somewhat blank as he looked away. it was always like this. Whenever he thought about his life... he'd go into this dead state. Snap out of it Nick... Stop it. It's over.... it's over, he thought as he returned his gaze back to Mesy, giving her a reassuring smile, though some of the light in his eyes had dimmed. He wasn't going to sleep well that night, he knew it.

(omgosh! I'm sorry I forgot to tell you what I was thinking. Okay what if his brother was the guy that got Mesy pregnant? He said he didn't really know much about the guy now. I think it would make it allot more interesting since Mesy would freak and the girl would cling to Nick. What do you think?)

Mesy nodded some ungerstandingly. "Yeah... I do wish the cercomestances could have been better... Nick, love, howa'bout we not talk about this? I can tell this makes you upset... I really don't like you upset." she said softly and moved to kiss Nick on the lip and lean her forehead against his.

Nick smiled gratefully at Mesy and kissed her back "I'm all for that plan. It'll come up eventually, I'm sure... but we can definitely table this before then" he replied, pulling her onto his lap. "I have to admit, though... I'm curious to see what will happen. How the kids will get along... my parents reaction to finding out we're engaged, the kind of guy my brother's turned into. This will definitely be an adventure" he admitted in a low voice, brushing his lips along her ear. He kissed and nipped at the ear a bit before moving downwards towards the neck.

Mesy smiled some as she heard Nick and when he pulled her into his lap. She moaned softly when he nipped her ear then down to her neck and melted into his arms some loving what he was doing. "You just love making me feel like this don't you?" she said softly leaning into him some.

Nick smiled "mmmm... yeah. I love how you melt into my arms. It's that feeling that I crave" he muttered huskily as he planted tiny little kisses all over her, nipping the tender skin every now and then. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close to him.

Mesy moaned again some as she felt Nick nipping and kissing her wherever he could. "Can we plese go to our room? I know you're pobably not going to want to give up are you?" she asked softly as she started to trais his chest carising it some sense she already knew it well... and she knew he loved it when she did that.

Nick chuckled and picked Mesy up, wrapping her legs around his waist. He carried her to their bedroom, never ceasing his kisses. He gently laid her on the bed and his lips trailed down. He stopped, however, when he found a bandage. He moved back up and placed a gentle kiss on her lips "we should re-dress your wounds now instead of later. It's been awhile since I've done that, and they need to stay clean... I don't think either of us want another warning from death... do you?" he suggested as he sat up, gently pulling her up with him.

Mesy was loving his toutch... until he mentioned her wounds. "Ah..." she whined some though nodded. "Okay... then can we continue?" She asked lightly running her fingures along his collar and smiled some kissing his collar bone lightly.

(yeah when this is done I say we go ahead and go to the thanksgiving thing ^^ you know I'm eager for that one! X3 *evil giggle* )

Nick smiled and kissed her "of course love" he told her and stood up. He came back about a minute later with the first aid kit "shirt, love" he commanded as he sat behind her.

"Okay." Mesy said easily as she slipped off her shirt so he could redo her bandages. She really didn't mind now like she used to... How could she? They made love for cryine out load! Her wounds were actually healing quite nicely and she wasn't having near as much pain as she had before.

Nick removed the bandages and cleaned the wounds "oh, wow... these look amazing" Nick commented as he prepped a cotton ball with alcohol. He gently cleaned the wounds and then re-wrapped Mesy. "Alright, babe, all done. How are you feeling?" he asked, placing a kiss on her cheek as he wrapped his arms around her torso.

"That's good... I'm feeling just fine." Mesy smiled and turned to put her arms around Nick's neck and kissed him on the lips lightly. She then leaned her head on his shoulder and was almost giving him the puppy pout... she knew he hated it though she also knew he would know what she meant and pobably wouldn't ubject.

Nick chuckled when he saw the look and leaned back. Just before he hit the bed, he flipped over until Mesy was underneath him. "Dearest, I hope you know the full consequences of giving me that look" he purred into her ear, going back to the act that he was doing earlier, except more since her shirt was already off.

Nick groaned as he drove down the street his parents lived on. He could already see his doom approaching. He pulled into the driveway and helped his family out. He smiled some when he saw the ring on Mesy's finger. "Well... here we go" he replied and went up to the door. He knocked on it and was soon accosted by his mother when it opened. "NICK!!!! Oh!!! These must be Hena and Heiwa! They're so cute! And you must be Mesy, welcome, dear! Come in, Come in. Brad and Jane are already here, the boys are in the playroom if you'd like to take the girls up. Andy! Nick's here!" her mother called out and walked away to go find her husband. Nick sighed and looked at the twins "do you want to meet your cousins?" he asked.

"YEAH!" tge girls smiled and Mesy laughed some. "Your mom seems nice... Why are you so worried?" she asked taking Nick's hand some and smiling reasuringly to him giving him a little kiss on the cheek. She was a bit happy here... She was accepted... Even if it was just because she was Nick's feaunce... She was still accepted. She was feeling good now that her wounds had healed... They didn't take too awful long which she was greatful for.

Nick gave Mesy a pointed look "she's nice, but over-bearing. I'm a solitude guy. Every time I'm in this house, I go back to my childhood... anyway, I'll take the girls up stairs. You can come, or stay down here and my mom will introduce everyone to you, guaranteed. So it's basically who do you want to do the introducing, me, or my mom?" he asked.

At the moment, Brad walked up behind Mesy with Jane. "Who's this? I thought you and Elizabeth were going out... what happened?" he asked. "Long story short, we broke up. This is my fiancee, Mesy. Mesy, this is Brad, my brother, and his wife, Jane. And these two girls are her daughters, Hena and Heiwa" Nick introduced. "I'm about to head up to check on the boys, I can take them up if you'd like" Jane offered. Nick shrugged "I'm fine with it" he said and turned towards the twins "what do you say? do you want to go on up with Aunt Jane? she knows your cousins better than me" he asked them with a smile. In the corner of his eye, he saw Brad studying Mesy, as though he somehow knew her.

Mesy just about jumped out of her skin and she turn so pale it was almost like when she had come back to life. She didn't even have to look... She knew who it was and a tremmer went through her. Even the girls seemed bewildered at this mandate and hid behind Nick's legs. Mesy's eyes had gotten dark again and she moved to Nick's side to whisper in his ear "Nick... I need to talk to you... Now... Without your brother or his wife fallowing... And the girls are going to stay with us for now." she whispered almost inaudobly to Nick and knew Brad wouldhear her... She was scared now... she had to tell Nick... She couldn't do this... Not with that guy near her.

Nick was confused and tried to think of an excuse. "Um... Jane, actually... um... I'll get back to you on that. Would you two excuse us, please?" he asked and led his family upstairs and to his room without waiting for an answer. He closed the door once everyone was in and then turned to Mesy "alright... what is it that you needed to tell me?" he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist, concerned for her. He could see that she was scared, and it worried him. Frankly... just being in this room brought back memories. It had been transformed into a guest bedroom, but it still gave him the chills, and the way Mesy was acting wasn't helping that fact, either

"He... He's the one... The one that got me pregnant... The one that hurt me... I... I don't want the girls near him... They don't like him either." Mesy stuttered her whole form shaking from the horrible memories just hearing the mans voice brought back... Just hearing or thinking about the man was enough to make her tremble and shake in fear.

Nick's anger flared and he guided Mesy to the bed, holding her. "Alright, well... we have to think of some sort of excuse... We can't exactly leave now, but you're right... I don't want him around you. So... what should we do?" he asked, comforting his family.
