"I... I don't know... I know he recognizes me... I know he knows the girls names. I... I'd love to have a normal thanksgiving... But... I'm scared of him... It hurts worse then any wound other then loosing the girls... He knows what his presence does to me." Mesy whimpered some leaning into Nick and the girls cuddled up close to their parents.

Nick held the three girls close "I know, baby... I know" he said softly as he gently rubbed her back. "Listen... That was 4 years ago... I knew there was something that his wife got mad at him for, but they worked it out. I saw him two years ago at Christmas... and he is the most devoted father you'll ever see. He made a mistake and I'm going to beat the living crap out of him as soon as I can. But I think it'll be alright. And I think you're right... We're going to have a normal Thanksgiving... as normal as you can get in this place, at least. Hena and Heiwa can play with their cousins... you, Jane, and my mom can have girl bonding time or whatever as my mom lays out the details of the wedding. I'll go out back, beat the crap outta Brad, we'll come in and have dinner. Then we can go home... and be glad we're out of here" he said softly.

Mesy couldn't help but smirk some and nodded. "Okay... I still don't trust gim though... And I still don't want him near the girls okay?" she said softly and leaned into Nick some feeling starting to feel a bit better now.

(I think Brad should be oitside the door listening X3 )

Nick smiled "I don't trust him either, baby. What about everyone else, though? We want this to be a normal Thanksgiving so we can't avoid the family because of what Brad did" he said softly.

Jane walked up to Brad, who was listening to the conversation between Nick and Mesy. "Brad, sweetie, you shouldn't eavsedrop" she scolded. Brad turned to his wife and sighed "that her, sweetheart... that's the girl from four years ago... I didn't even know she got pregnant" he told her softly. Jane was silent for a few moments before sighing "no wonder they dissappered in here. Anyway, quit eavsedropping, it's rude" she scolded. Brad nodded and moved away from the door and down the stairs "I... I need to talk to her" he said softly.

(that's a lie though XP he did know cuz he was still around when the twins were born... That's why they don't really like him... Other then they see their mothers fear of him though they can remember a bit of him...)

"Okay... Then let's go on out... I'm... A bit better now I think." Mesy said softly and looked at her doubters softly and they smiled some at her. She was feeling a bit more confident now... At least she wasn't really scared anymore.

((oh... well... I didn't know that. So pretend he never said that))

Nick smiled and nodded "would you two like to meet your cousins now, or do you want to stay with us?" Nick asked the twins as he stood up. He wanted the twins to have fun, and they'd probably have more fun playing with kids their own age, but he wasn't going to push them away if they wanted to stay with him and Mesy.

The girl had to think for a moment then bothe nodded. "Uh hu" they said though were gitterry now from seeing their biologicle father again... They knew he hurt Mesy and that's why they were a bit scared of him... Though they wanted to be around kids their age for once.

(na it's fine that he said that... It would put his wife at ease XD )

Nick smiled, kissed them, and took them to the playroom. "Hi uncle Nick" the older of the two greeted, he was the only one that remembered him. "Hey there, Aiden, Hi Cameron. I'd like you two to meet your cousins... Hena and Heiwa. Hena, Heiwa, these are your cousins, Aiden and Cameron" he introduced, pointing to each as he said their name. Adien, the oldest and more out going of the two, sized the girls up. After awhile he came over to them and smiled "we're building stuff, want to join us?" he asked, pointing to the large duplo tower behind him.

"SURE!" The girls smiled easily seeming now to forget about their father and how weary of him they were. The girls had hardly ever been even close to kids close to their age... well other then on the playground though... the other kids didn't know them so they didn't talk to them. Mesy smiled happily just ow too happy that her doubters would have someone to play with... even though there wasn't girls here... she was just happy that there were some kids here at least a little close in age.

Aiden grabbed their hands and pulled them to duplo table, explaining their current project. Nick chuckled and pulled Mesy downstairs where they were greeted by his mother "Nick, Mesy, dear. Come see, come see. Ohhhhhhhhhh! Wouldn't this be perfect?!" she gushed "and here come the wedding plans" Nick chuckled as his mother set a large binder on the table. "Mother" he scolded "hush, dear. you two have children to think about. I held myself back with Elizabeth, but--" she was interuptted when Nick held up Mesy's left hand "mother, relax. The scolding tone was for planning the wedding without us. I'd like to choose stuff, alright?" he chuckled. His mother squealed with joy at an incredibly high pitch. "Well, then, why don't you two go through what I've picked out and you can get rid of anything you don't like" she suggested before skittering off to the kitchen.

((I didn't even know skittering was a word... how cool is that!?!?))

Mesy smiled some at Nick's mother... and soon her mother-in-law. "I see what you mean now." she grinned a bit sitting in one of the chairs and looking at some of the plans. "That looks cute..." she smiled some pointing out a bewquet she liked the looked at the dress his mother had put down for an idea. "I don't like that... that's going first thing" she fowned pointing out the dress then the flower girl dresses too.

Nick chuckled and pointed at the cake "she knows my tastes, that stays. What do you think of the color scheme she thought of for us? It seems a bit... pink. I say we scrap the pink and replace it with.... something else. What do you think of the red? I like blue, blue is a nice color. Soft and vibrant at the same time. Or... don't tell anyone I said this... purple. A dark purple. Wonderful color, very regal. but, that's my opinion on colors. Oh, look. She put some secondary options for dresses, what do you think of those?" he asked, pointing to the wedding dress he particularly liked and would like to see on Mesy. He also pointed to another dress for the flower girls.

"Yeah... maybe an aqua? I don't really like the dress... it's white it would look odd on me with my white hair... like I said what about aqua? It's a pretty color... and there's nothing wrog with liking purple... I've known allot of guys that liked purple." Mesy smiled some and got a blank sheet of paper drawing out a lovely long one sleeved dress. "What about something like this?" She asked lightly showing Nick the drawing hoping he liked it.

Nick looked at the drawing and smiled "beautiful, Mesy. Simply beautiful. I love it. I can't wait to see it on you. Aqua is a pretty color" he pulled together what they'd picked out and complied it all together so they could see the big picture. "Alright... what do you think?" he asked, putting everything in its proper place.

"I like it now." Mesy smiled easily though felt a pang of worry again as she saw Brad walk in the room though tried not to let it show... she knew, though, that Nick would know... he always knew. She had to try and accept that Brad was going to be her brother-in-law... though she really didn't want to be around him.

(now would be a good time for him to try and talk to her... I'm saying his wife isn't with him so she doesn't find out that he knew about the twins... for now anyways X3 )

Nick smiled, though the smile dissappeared when he felt Mesy tense up. He looked up and noticed Brad coming towards them. "What can I do for you, dearest brother of mine?" he asked, sounding slightly sarcastic. "I was... wondering if I could talk to Mesy... alone if at all possible" he asked. Nick tried his best to keep his poker face on and he turned to Mesy "What do you think? I'll be right outside, waiting for the moment I need to barge in and rescue my princess. But if you'd rather, then I won't leave" he promised.

Mesy shook her head. "No... no Nick won't leave... I'm... kinda sorry but no I don't trust you... you lost that years ago." she said a bit unhappily and wearily not moving from Nick's side... infact she actually moved a bit closer not wanting Nick to leave her in the least. She didn't trust him... how could she? HE RAPED HER!!!

Brad sighed, but accepted defeat. "I understand' he sighed as he sat down across from them, making sure to keep his distance. "Look... I... I have no excuse for what I did... I don't even know why I did it. I was happily married by that time. Maybe I was just depressed because we seemed to be having a hard time getting children. I don't know, it was a long time ago and... I've all but forgotten you. I... I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'd be stupid to think you could forgive me. I just... wanted to apologize... and make it right in any way that I can. I don't see Nick very often, but I see him enough. And I just went to check on the kids--no, I kept my distance. I didn't want to spoil their fun. But they were having a blast. Aiden and Cameron love them to bits--even if they are girls. So I don't think we can avoid seeing each other... and I... I just want to fix this as much as possible so you and the girls won't be uncomfortable whenever I'm around. I don't expect you to trust me ever again, heck, it's took the longest time to earn Jane's trust back after what I did. I screwed up... I'm sorry" he said softly.

While brad spoke, Nick put his arm around Mesy, keeping an eye out for anyone that could barge in, like his parents or Jane. Luckily, it seemed to be quiet.

"You didn't tell her you got me pregnant did you? You knew I was pregant... gosh you beat the crap out of me when you were drunk! Yeah... I remember that... that's why the girls are so skittish around you... ya know... they were awake... they were able to know what was going on." Mesy said and did relax some into Nicks toutch... she didn't feel so bad with him there... she wasn't scared... or worried. "Listen... if Nick doesn't mind I could tell you something that doesn't even top what you did... but... Nick? Do you mind?" Mesy asked looking at Nick... she wouldn't say anything if he didn't want her to... it wasn't something she wanted spread around... though she thought she might give Brad an example of how forgiving she could be... she wouldn't be able to completely forgive him for a long while though... she would tell him that.

Nick looked between the two and immediately knew what Mesy want to tell him and why. He sighed "only your reaction" he said softly. Looks like you and I share similar characteristics, little brother... at least when we're drunk, he thought.

Brad looked between his brother and Mesy "what? what happened? Surely whatever he did wasn't as bad as what I did. Nah... he's a lil' softie, at least since he met Elizabeth" he commented, noting the "you have no idea" look that Nick shot him.

"Well... hm... don't freak... really like you won't or like it matters though you can't breathe a word... it's not your information to share." Mesy frowned for a second and thought how to say it. "Huh... long story short, him and Elizabeth split up... he got drunk... I look just a bit like Elizabeth... well... at least when he was drunk anyways... but yeah he's a violent drunk... kinda like you though, he killed me... I died. Before death came to get me though he made a deal... we both did with death. He takes care of me... We make sure neither of us die... and I could live. That doesn't top what you did... kinda sorry to say that though he appologize right away... you never did till now. I forgave him... I didn't hold it against him. It'll take quite a bit... though I might be able to forgive you after a long while... I don't hold grudges... though I don't give back trust easily... not to you." she explaind softly though was trying to make sure he understood... she might be able to forgive him... though it would take a long time.

Nick looked away when Mesy told Brad what happened... but he had to admit to himself... he couldn't explain the gravity of the situation without giving away details. At least she toned it down.

Sometime during the time Mesy was telling Brad what happened, Jane came down the hall, searching for her husband. She stopped, though, when she heard Mesy speaking.

Brad was in shock as he stared at Nick "wow... I... I never knew he had it in him" he commented. "I'm capable of a lot of things when I'm not in control of myself" Nick shot back.

"Yes... though I foregave hime... if the girls can forgive you... if they can stand to be around you... then I guess I could as well... they were the only good thing that could come out of that. If I hadn't ran off when I did... my mother would have killed me and the girls... knew what happened to my sister." Mesy said softly and she thought she heard something.. someone close maybe? Footsteps? She didn't think she was right... she just might have been hearing things she guessed.

Jane was shocked... the twins were her husband's daughters? She couldn't bring herself to go in and let them know she was there. She was spared the choice, though, as her mother-in-law came skittering down the hallway "Jane, dear, could you get the children, it's dinnertime" she announced then moved over to where her children were sitting. "Nick, Mesy, how did--Oooooo... I like what you did with the arrangements! Mesy, darling, did you draw this? It looks perfect" Nick's mother gushed as she surveyed the result of the planning session. Nick had to smiled softly at how the tension in the air seemed to cease the moment his mother walked in the room. It wasn't long before he heard the kids coming down the stairs, Aiden most likely at the front. He turned around to greet them and he smiled when he saw Cameron holding onto Heiwa's hand, sucking his thumb.

((Heiwa has black hair because her name means peace and her appearance is not white!!! -happy i remembered- -continues-))

Aiden walked up to Nick and he tugged on his pants. "Uncle Nick... thank you for bringing Hena and Heiwa with you. They're really fun" he said politely. "You're quite welcome, Aiden. I'm glad you four had fun" he answered with a smile.

Mesy sighed some leaning into Nick and closing her eyes a bit. "Thank you... I used to draw alot..." she murmured softly as she leaned more into Nick and closed her eyes. Heiwa giggled some at Cameron glad she had made a friend though when she saw her mother she ran over and climbed in her lap cuddling up to her mothers chest. Mesy looked down and smiled softly at her dobter then her smile grew as Hena also crawled up into her lap. She wrapped her arms around her two little girls and kissed both of them on the head making them giggle... they didn't seem to have seen Brad yet... that might have still been a good thing sence they seeming in a good mood.
