Mesy smiled as she looked over Nick's shoulder at the menu then pointed out something that she liked. "Now that looks good doesn't it?" she smiled and also knew that that wouldn't bother the baby if she ate it... for some reason she had actually been craving things like that and she only assumed that their son would like the same types of food.

Nick looked at what she'd pointed to and shrugged "alright" he agreed before flagging the waiter down. He ordered two of the meals that Mesy had pointed out and then sent the waiter on his way. "So... have you had any weird cravings lately? I know that's pretty usual with pregnancy" he asked.

"Well... that dinner is actually something that I've been craving... veggies aren't so weird so... hm... can't really think of the others right now...." Mesy smiled some leaning against Nick lovingly and smiling up at him a bit just happy she had him back.... happy that Brad had brought him back to her.

Nick smiled and placed his arm around her "I'm sorry I've been really distant lately... I thought... maybe... maybe by focusing on work so much, I wouldn't think about alcohol. Obviously I was wrong since it just made it worse. I really wanted to keep my promise to you, I really did. It was just... really hard. But, I promise to make it up to you. From now on, if you want something, I'll drop what I'm doing to get it for you... unless it's really important... then I'll spend five minutes before doing what you need me for. I promise" he told her.

"It's okay love... jsut please never do that again okay?" Mesy murmured softly as she moved to kiss Nick on the lips lightly not wanting him to go on about a topic she knew would, at some point, bother their lunch together.

Nick nodded "ok, I promise" he answered with a gentle smile. At that time, their food arrived and Nick dug in. "Good choice, Mes... This is really good" he commented before taking another bite.

'Thanks." Mesy smiled happily as she started eating as well.

((my suggestion is just head back to lisa and Brad's to pick up the kids. I doubt they'll do much more than eat and chat idly. what do you think?))

(Sure... have any ideas after that? Maybe skip to when... well after Elizabeth has her baby and they find out Nick isn't the father? Or past that to when Mesy has her baby? Or when if not those two?)

((i'd say skip of Mesy's baby, since Nick'd know immediately that the baby wasn't his. I don't think they'd make a big deal out of it and reopen old wounds))

Nick pulled into the driveway, noting the extra car "looks like Brad's home" he commented after he opened the door for Mesy. Lisa ushered them in and to the living room "Hey Nick" Brad greeted. Nick clapped his brother on the shoulder and sat next to him on the couch. "Hey Brad. How long have you been home?" he asked "about an hour, tops. How'd the appointment go?" Brad asked. "It went really well" Nick responded with a smile. He reached out, grabbed Mesy's hand, and pulled her onto his lap.

"Hi Brad." Mesy smiled kindly as she was pulled into her husbands lap and leaned against him some. "How are you?" she asked lightly. She had gotten used to Brad... and was now greatfully calm around him. Sometimes she was actually happy to see him... like the times when she was really worried about Nick and what was going on with him.

"I'm good, what about you? Do you two know what you're having yet?" Brad asked. Nick chuckled "we can only tell you if you promise not to tell mom before tomorrow. I can't get away with anything more than that" Nick responded, inciting a hearty chuckle from Brad. "I know how that is. No matter how long you try to hide it from her, she'll somehow know that you know. The only escape is to legitimately refuse to know the sex beforehand. It's not enough to just say you don't know, because she'll know that you know. It's ridiculous!" he commented. Nick smiled and turned to Mesy "do you want to tell them or should I?" he asked.

"I'm about as good as a woman can be for 6 month pregnant. We're having a little boy." Mesy smiled easily to her brother-in-law. She was happy... last time she was more scared and worried then anything else... though different times and different cercomstances... and a different person... even if the two are related.

"Wonderful! Oh, they're so much fun!" Lisa gushed. "Are you excited, Nick?" Brad asked his brother. Nick nodded "yeah, I'm excited" was his simple response. "What's the bond like?" Brad asked "It's... beyond description. The closest I can come up with... is... this sense that you know who they are, even if you'd never met before. You know they belong to you... I'm sure it's a different feeling for the father... but that's the closest I could get" Nick explained "sounds great" Brad commented. Nick simply nodded, placed his hand over Mesy's belly, and kissed her cheek.

(WO! Hold on... you just confused me... who was talking when? I lost track XP Brad would be the one to know... so... who's talking when?)

((brad doesn't know because he isn't an elf. he was asking about the elfin father/son bond. He knew that Nick had experienced it, so he was curious. Brad and Nick aren't related by blood. I'll edit it and put in names to help out, but that's what I was trying to say. sorry about the confusion))

((no, i don't blame you for forgetting, i only briefly mentioned it. I said that they were brothers, but they were adopted which made them brothers. They aren't related by blood, just by adoption... sorry for causing such confusion =/ I tried to point out that they were brothers... but not... like how nick always felt alone in his family, because he was an elf, they weren't))

Today had to have been one of the scariest, if not the scariest, days in Nick's life. He was so worried when he was told that Mesy would have to have a C-section, he was worried that something would happen. He sighed and brushed some hair aside from Mesy's face. She looked so exhausted. He bent over and kissed her forehead before he heard a nurse call his name. He turned to the nurse and smiled. In her arms was his son. The nurse walked over and handed him his son and left the family alone. He gently cradled his son in his arms. He let out a sigh of contentment and relaxed into the chair next to the hospital bed.

Mesy smiled tiredly as she saw her son as the nurse brought him in. "No problems..." she murmured with a small smile on her lips as she leaned her head back on the pillow closing her eyes. She had only really said this because last time when she had the twins there was a little bit of trouble... this time there were no issues at all... that made her happy.

Nick looked over at Mesy and smiled softly. "How are you feeling?" he asked in a soft voice. He reached out and brushed a tendril away from her face, lingering for a few moments before pulling his arm back to support their son. "Do you want to hold him?" he asked.

"I'm okay... tired, but okay..." Mesy smiled some and looked at their son, she couldn't helpbut smile. "Do you even have to ask?" she grinned as she went ahead and put her arms in a craddling possition so Nick could just lay Andrew in her arms with no troudle.
