The angel had descended to the world, and she spent much of her time there. She did not hide her true form from anyone, the people had come use to her presence and the help that she gave them. There always seemed to be so much in the world to do, so many people that needed help. Tiranatil felt that her fellows could do more for them, and they felt that she needed to do less. It disgusted her.

She was in the home of an child with an ailing mother. The childs father had already died, and there would be no one to care for the small boy if his mother died as well. This was something that she felt she had to intervene in. Her soft hand brushed over the womans forehead and her eyes opened. She was well again, though she still needed to gain strength she would not die. Tiranatil would accept no thanks when she left the home. She felt it was her duty to help them.

Victor happily lived in a small villiage. He had a huge palace that he loved to rule over. He had many servants and slaves. As a demon he ate a human once a month or so. He had to make sure that he kept himself fed or else he would die. He treated his servants and slaves well. Even the ones he ate were treated very well and most were quite willing to die for him. They knew what there master was and were more than willing to serve him until their lives ended. Victor was bored now. He had heard of an angel running around the villiage and he was curious about her. He had seen her a couple of times but had not the nerve to speak to her. He planned on meeting her for the first time tonight. He was just trying to figure out how their first meeting should be.

The woman had heard things about the ruler of this village that she could not allow herself to believe. She had seen things that worried her more then she cared to admit. None-the-less the people here would need her help to some extent. The angel moved towards another house, her gaze turning up to the palace that over looked the village. On occasion she had considered entering the place, but never really got the nerve up to. If the stories were correct, then her entrance into that palace could be the beginning of the end for her.

Victor snapped his fingers and some cute girls showed up and helped him done his hooded robe. The sun was starting to set. He looked over at his butler with a nod. Irving the butler smiled and exited the mansion. He made his way to the middle of the square with one of the young girls. All the villiagers were holed up in their houses. He looked at Andrea who immediatly fell to the ground crying about a hurt ankle. He grinned and stepped into the shadows. They knew that the angel girl passed by here often on her way home about this time.

Victors hearing caught the girls crys and knew it was time. He stepped outside his home and walked towards the villiage square taking his time.

The angel could hear the crying and rushed immediately to the girls side. She knelt by her side and tried to sooth her, "It will be alright, child. I will help you." Tiranatil brushed the girls hair back soothingly before she turned her attention to the girls ankle, "What happened? Did you fall?" If someone was injured enough that it upset them, then she attempted to talk to them. Usually it was enough to sooth them.

She pulled the girls sock down on the ankle that the girl was holding and touched it gingerly. If the girl was hurt then it had just happened because there was no swelling or sign of pain as of yet. She rested her hand on her ankle not suspecting that there was anything amiss about the situation.

Andrea looked up at the lady with a smile.
"I fell and I apologize for alerting you. It hurt very bad but the pain is fading. I tend to hurt myself often."

Suddenly Victor walked into the center and smiled down at Andrea.
"What are you doing out so late Andrea?"

Andrea looked up at Victor and frowned.
"I apologize master I had a few last customers at the stall and wanted to get a little more money. I was rushing home and tripped on a large rock and twisted my ankle. This lady came to help me. I will get back to the castle now."
She stood up and ran off quickly.

Victor looked at the angel girl with a neutral expression on his face.
"I appreciate you helping her. She is clumsy but makes up for it in the ability to sell to anyone. I am sorry if she distracted you."
He turned as if he was going to leave.

She stared up at him. This was the man she had heard rumors about, the demon. Tiranatil knew that she had to do something. The woman stood and called to him, "Stop, I cannot let you rule over these people any longer." She had an imperious edge to her voice and stood tall. If she had a sword she would likely have a hand on it, ready to draw it. As it was she was prepared to call down the might of the Light on him. There was an energy in the air around her.

He stopped and looked at her a moment. His face kept on a neutral aspect. He made his way over to her in a quick movement.
"Why is that my dear lady?"
He studied her with an expressionless face. The smell of her wafting up his nostrils. She smelled like an angel. She smelled like pure good and it was intoxicating to him.

She raised her chin, staring up into his eyes unflinchingly, "You are a demon! I cannot allow you to influence these people any longer." Her gaze was hard, "If you do not step down, then I will be forced to make you do so." He was close, and it left her stiff and wanting to back away from him. She would not show that weakness though.

He stared at her his expression never changing.
"Not all demons are evil you know."
He stayed still where he was just looking at her. He did not wish to scare her away nor was he trying to get her to fight him. He just wanted to show her that she did not need to worry about demons harming her.
"My servants are quite happy and willing if you talk with them. You are more than welcome to come to my castle and see them anytime you wish."

She breathed deeply but nodded after a moment, "Show me then, I cannot believe that they are so happy to serve you as you claim." In her mind, though, she had to admit that there was something about the man. Something that made her willing to trust him. She knew that she should not though.

To keep her hands still, to keep them from visibly shaking to him, she straightened her skirts. The only demons she was used to dealing with were evil, they were vial monsters that had to be killed.

Victor smiled at her and started walking towards his castle.
"Just follow me."
He walked slowly. When they reached his castle his butler opened the door with a smile.
"Master you were gone a while. We were worried about you."
His butler put a coat on him and helped him to a chair by the fire. Several young girls showed up and helped him put on some clean clothes and gave him somthing hot to drink.
"The lady to." Victor said pointing to the angel girl.

The girls ran to her and grabbed her hands pulling her towards the fire. They provided her with some hot tea. The butler bowed to her.
"Welcome to Master Victors castle mi'lady. What brings you here tonight?"

She stared in disbelief at the girls and allowed herself to be pulled over towards the fire and sat down. Tiranatil was not used to this sort of treatment. She did not expect others to treat her any differently then they might one another. These people were absolutely doting on the man, and her at his command.

Her eyes looked between the butler and the demon that had invited her into his home. It took her a time to reply, trying to find the words, "I...I suppose it would be to ask what sort of a life you have here." She had a feeling he had the servants enthralled to him, but there was no real way to prove that.

The butler chuckled a bit.
"My lady my name is Aaron. I have served Victor for many years. I am a vampire. Therefore like him I will never die. I see no point in not enjoying my dutys. Victor treats us well. We each get our own giant room and we get food and payment for our services. My sister Andrea sells things for the master and keeps half of what she makes. We are not beaten nor punished. Even the people who are to serve for food for the master do not mind. THey are killed humanly and willingly sacrifice themselves. There is no reason to be suspicious."

She blinked at him and leaned back in the chair, sipping the tea almost absently. It was odd, she didn't really know how to react to the situation she found herself in. After a moment she spoke again, "This is not something I am use to. The demons I have encountered before have always been cruel beyond what words can describe."

Her gaze turned back to him, "What makes you different?"

Victor put his cup down and looked at her.
"I see no harm in making others happy. I have been on earth for my entire life. My mother was a fallen angel and my father was a demon. I have good in me. I just have to remember that my servants are people to and should be treated as such. It is late my lady you should stay the night. I would hate for someone to hurt you on the walk home."

The Angel was clearly surprised by this. "I...I suppose I could. We have yet to introduce ourselves though. I am Tiranatil. If it is easier then you may call me Tirana." She set her cup aside as well and leaned forward, her hands on her knees. The way she looked at him was obviously as though she were studying the Demon.

Victor pulled her hand to his lips and kissed it gently.
"I am Victor my lady. I rule this entire province. I try to keep this area peaceful."
He snapped his fingers standing up. Three young girls showed up with a smile.
"Will you prepare this ladys bedchambers. She may stay in my deceased wifes room. It should suffice. Clean and remake the bed and make sure there is no dust."
The giggling girls took off to do what he asked.
"Come and I will show you around while they arrange that for you dear."
He walked towards the back of the house. There was a large double door made out of complete glass. He opened it exposing a gorgeous garden completly green with a lots of white and red flowers all over. Many different plants.

Tiranatil blushed when he kissed her hand and stood to follow him, sparing a glance for the giggling girls as they ran off. She wondered what all of that was about, but did not ask anything, "You are far to gracious, Victor. You said...deceased wife? I am sorry to hear that. How did she pass?" She was curious if it was something she could have helped in, but failed to do so. When she saw the garden her mouth nearly dropped open, "This...I do not think I've ever seen anything so beautiful as this."

He frowned when she asked about his wife.
"She died many years ago. She was a human. One of my servants. I loved her very much."
He was not willing to discuss his love for her right now. She had only been dead for ten years and still it hurt like yesterday. The worse thing was it was his fault she died.
He grinned at her astonishment.
"I have spent 200 years to get it like this. My wife worked on it with me. It was like a hobby of ours."
A slight smile played at his lips.

She took a few steps towards the garden before looking over her shoulder at the Demon, "You really do seem different from most of your kind." Tiranatil moved further into the garden, "You and she did wonderful work on this." She made a little, slow spin so that she could see more of it. It really did surprise her to see such a thing of beauty created by the hands of a demon.

When she stopped the spin she was facing him, "I...feel that I should apologize for my earlier reaction, Victor."

He smiled and bowed to her.
"Its perfectly alright mi'lady. I only want you happy. I figured this would make you much happier than you were."
He looked at her closely. She was quite pretty and her hair was golden just like his darling wife.
"Come I shall show you to your room."
He turned and left the garden going out the double doors and heading up the stairs. At the top of the staircase was a large portrait of a gorgeous girl Alia
He pointed.
"That is my darling wife Alia."

She followed him again, every time the man spoke he surprised her in some way. At least they were pleasant surprises, though, and not the horrors she had become accustomed to. Her gaze was on him as he lead her up the stairs and paused to gesture towards a picture. She looked at the picture and then back to him, "She was beautiful. Again, I am sorry for your loss."
