Personality: He's a romantic guy. He always knows the right thing to do. And he always feels the need to follow his dreams no matter what he has to fight. He's understanding, caring, and very friendly. He's not one to get into any type of fights, but he's strong when he has to put his foot down and he's not afraid to tell people what he has to say. His friends respect him for his heart always set to be there for them, always there to back them up, always there to help them make the right decisions, but he knows what's right. If his friends did something wrong, he'd let them go and try to help them fix it. He appears to be dark, mysterious at times, but he's a major gentleman.

Backround: Alexia grew up as a quiet girl. She wasn't a very loud or outspoken person, which resulted in people not paying much attention to her. But she does have a few close friends whom she considers part of her family. She was close to her older sister and both her parents. Because of her quietness, she's only had one boyfriend so far.
Personality: Quiet. But don't let this fool you. She has a strong sense of friendship and will stand up for the people she cares about. Even though she wasn't normally big on violence, she won't back down from a fight. She is a very nice girl at heart and always puts the needs of others above her own. When she sees someone sad, she feels bad when there is nothing she could do to help.

Matthew sighed as he stared down at the first page of the last chapter of his story he was writing. His editor wanted the script tomorrow. But of course, something just had to come up. A writer's worst fear -- writer's block. He knew how it was going to end, but he didn't know how to put it in the words he wanted it in. He sighed and looked at the clock. It was only four in the afternoon. So he sighed and closed his lap top.

He needed to get away for a few hours. He was willing to stay up all night to finish it if that was what it had to take. But for now, he needed some non-writers time. He called up his best friends, and agreed to all meet at the local family grill and bar where it was karaoke night. He needed his friends right now.

Alexia smiled as she listened to her BFF Krista go on and on about this new guy she liked. She knwe the crush probably won't last long, but was happy that her friend was happy. She nodded at the right times and put in her input at the appropriate moments. Krista grabbed her arm and pulled her into the grill. "Come on! Let's get something to eat~"

Alexia sighed but agreed. Even though she wasn't exactly hungry, she knew Krista could be a bottomless pit sometimes. Especially when it came to good food. "Alright. But you have to pay." she said, a smile on her face. Krista sighed, but agreed, getting them a seat near the karaoke stage.

Matthew sighed and shook his head at his friends that kept trying to get him to sing a song. "I don't sing," he assured them. Then when he head turned to the door of the family bar and grill he smiled. It was Kayla's little sister, Alexia. He was going to wait a while before he'd go over and talk to her for a little. He hadn't seen her four about a year since the last time he was with Kayla.

When the right time seemed there, he got up and walked over to the table where Alexia and her friend was seated at. "Alexia, great to see you again!" he told her with a big smile.

Alexia looked at him for a few seconds, trying to remember where she seen him before. Then it clicked and a small smile formed on her face. "Great to see you too." she said. Krista raised an eyebrow. Alexia noticed the look on her face and shook her head quickly. "So how have you been? Are you still writing?" she asked, curiousity tinting her voice. She will admit she was surprised to see him here. It's been so long since the last time she'd seen him.

Matthew was thankful she recognized him. "I'm great. And yes, still writing. Almost done with my latest, but apperently...writer's block got to me once again," he said with a chuckle. "So how are you? How's Kayla? Haven't got to talk to her lately, so I don't know what she's up to," he said with a friendly smile still to his lips. It was great running into an old friend.

Alexia smiled lightly. "I hope you get over your writer's block soon." she said. He looked the same as he had the last time she'd seen him. "I've been good. Same as always." She was silent for a few seconds as she thought. "Kayla's been great. She's getting married soon."

"That's good," he said as he nodded his head. Then he raised his eyebrows. "Really? Wow, that's great news! Make sure to tell her congrats for me. I'm happy for her!" he said with a smile. After a moment of silence he turned his body a little away. "Well, I'm gonna go so I won't bother you ladies anymore," he said as he pointed to his table.

Alexia nodded. "Don't worry. I will." she said, smiing lightly.
"It's no bother at all!" Krista exclaimed. She shot a quick look at Alexia before smiling at Matthew. "Why don't you and you're friends come join us?" she offered.
Alexia shook her head. "You don't have too if you dont want to." she told him.

Matthew chuckled and looked over at his friends, motioning for them to come over. When they came over, Matthew introduced them. "Jake, Henry, this is my best friend's sister Alexia and her friend....is it Krista? Krista," he said to them as they brought chairs around. "Nice you meet you two," Jake said in a friendly, but not very flirtatious tone. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you," Henry said, chuckling at how careful Jake was being.

Alexia shot Krista a quick glare once Matthew was looking away. She wiped it off her face though when his friends came over. She smiled lightly to be polite. "It's nice to meet you." she said.
Krista smiled. "It's very nice to meet you." she corrected. Alexia resisted the urge to roll her eyes. So much for Krista's current crush. She was already flirting with other men.

Matthew chuckled at his friends as he took the seat next to Alexia. "So, what have you been up to lately?" he asked as he motioned for a waiter to come over to take their offers. He's been here one too many times so they knew him. He was basically their important customer who always left good tips.

After ordering what he wanted, he turned his attention back to Alexia, actually glad he was talking to her.

Since she wasn't hungry, Alexia shrugged. "Nothing really. School. Work. Things like that." Even as she was saying that, she realized he probably didn't know that she had gotten a job. It was only a few months ago... Not unless he went there sometime. It wasn't unlikely. She worked at a local coffee shop. Maybe he came in sometime when she wasn't paying attention.

Matthew nodded his head. "Nice, nice. Where do you work at?" he asked. It wasn't like he was going to stalk her or anything, he was just curious. She seemed like a bright, intelligent girl for her age.

Alexia was silent for a few seconds, thinking over if she should tell him. Might as well. He'd find out eventually if he was in town. "... Just the coffee shop a few blocks from here. Up on the Main Street." she said, looking at the table. It wasn't a big shop and painted a forest green. Kinda small really. But was still a nice place for people to stop and chat when they pleased.

He smiled and nodded his head. "That's a good start," he encouraged her. All of a sudden, he knew that he was glad he had come back to town. The summer was a beast to him, in the dying heat in his armor for the Renn. Faire. Now he's able to return to his editor's home town and just sit back and let words poor onto paper.

Alexia nodded. "Yeah... I guess..." she muttered, looking at the table. She really hated her job and was planning on either quitting or getting a job somewhere else as soon as she could. But she really wanted to get her own car and the only way to do that was earn money. So for now, she'd just have to endure it. She was silent for a second before looking at Matthew. "So.. Do you sing?" she asked, tilting her head to the karoke stand.

Matthew laughed hard and shook his head. "Hell no," he assured her.

"We're trying to get him up on stage but he won't do it," Jake said to Alexia.

Matthew glared at Jake for saying that. "It's not that, just don't see the point of it," he lied.

"Really? Some people find it entertaining." Alexia said, looking at him with a raised eyebrow, slighlty amused.

"We'd really like to hear you sing." Krista said, looking at Matthew, a flirty look in her eye. "Please?"

"Krista. Don't bug him." Alexia warned.

"I'm not. It's just one song... You want to hear him sing too, don't you?"

"Not if he doesn't want too."

Matthew sat there chuckling at the girls. He really didn't want to go up mainly because he wasn't really in the mood to make a fool out of himself in front of his friends and the strangers in the room. He just wanted this to be a relaxing night. He saw the excitement and pleas in the two girl's eyes.

He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine. But, you have to choose a song for me, Alexia," Matthew said to her in an amused tone, trying to hide the I-really-don't-want-to-do-this attitude.

He took a sip of his bear and then set it down at the table as he got up, waiting for her reply. "Nothing girlie," he suddenly pointed out before she could say anything.

Alexia thought for a second. She could tell he really didn't want to go up there. But she could also tell Krista wanted to hear him. And since she didn't feel like picking a childish song for him to sing to be embarassed and anything girlie was out of the question, she had to think of a good one.

"How about.... Something by Three Days Grace?" she asked, hoping that would work. It most definantly wasn't girlie in anyway.

Matthew smiled at Alexia. "How about Lost in You by them. One of my favorite songs," he said as he headed over to the table to sign up for a song. He looked through the book of songs he's able to do, found the song he was looking for, wrote down his name, the song's code, and the song's name. Then he headed back over to Alexia's table to wait his turn.

Alexia smiled lighlty. "Yeah. That sound good to me." she said. When he walked away, she turned to glare quickly at Krista. She had this 'victory' look on her face, which vanished quickly when she saw her friend's glare. She stuck her tongue out and crossed her arms by the time Matthew got back.
"Can't wait to hear it." Alexia said when he sat back down.

Matthew sat down and took a swig of his bear and put it back down. "So what are some of your favorite bands?" he asked Alexia, chuckling at how Alexia's friend seems in wrapped in talking to Jake and Henry.
