Andre took his cloth and dabbed his shoulder. It stung, but it wasn't anything that would make him flinch. He frowned as she turned from him. He got up and wrapped his arms around her. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked her. He worried that she would stop eating to save him from pain. For him it wasn't pain, it was more pleasurable. And as a drow he was used to a little blood shed. He gave her a tight squeeze and turned her to face him. He stroked her cheek, soothing her uneasyness.
Bard listened to October as she chatted about her friend and her adventures. "Oh, well that's so interesting. I hope your friend is ok." He said. He noticed Lin walk over to them, he smiled gently at her as she greeted him. "Hello there Lin." He returned. He started to feel a little nervous, so he picked up a stick and started drawing in the dirt with it. He wasn't used to being around women so much. He had no idea what to say to them and he didn't want to bug them by chating away like a damn fool. So he sat and listened to the women. |
Lin smiled and waved to Bard. She watched him draw in the dirt for a moment. "What are you drawing?" Lin asked. She was glad she wasn't the only one at camp who drew in the dirt with a stick.
|
Tzipporah rested her head and his hand, holding onto it. She looked up at him. "Sorry... just not used to this I guess. This is all just very fast for me. A few days ago I had not seen life since I was a child. and now all of a sudden there are people here and... everything is just really confusing for me." She did not know what else to say.
|
October looked at Lin. "Hi Lin." She said with a wave. "So Bard what do you do?" she said with a smile and watched him drawing.

The day before, Delimant and Whispers carefully lodged themselves in a tree, sleeping the night away. Delimant had casted a barrier around the tree, which would warn them of any nearby intruders. Luckily, no one came, and the night went on peacefully.
When dawn broke, Delimant, climbed out and stretched his arms around. "So... are you ready to figure out who or what might be over by the waterfall?" he asked Whispers, with a slightly groggy tone of voice. |
Abruptly Whispers opened her eyes, jumping a little bit in confusion until all the previous days past event came rushing back. Relaxing just a bit she groggily looked around at her surroundings. oh yes now i remember, I must have been exhausted to just fall asleep like that, leaving myself venerable to someone I hardly know, but until I find out just what has happened I have no choice but to trust him at the moment
Stretching she poked her head out of the tree, looking around till she found Delimant standing a little ways off from the entrance of the tree. Climbing out she did a full body stretch, wings and all. Turning to Delimant, she found him staring. "No better time than now, eh? So, I guess I'll scout around first unless you had a better idea?" |
Delimant lowered his barrier and took a couple steps forward. "I believe that is what we decided on yesterday." He stated, calm and collective. "If you run into trouble, give some sort of signal, and I'll do my best to help you. If not, just come back after you figure out whats out there."
Delimant wasn't totally sure about this idea, but there was no other choice. He was too frail to scout out himself, and she could cloak herself AND fly. It was an obvious choice. |
Arianna sat quietly on the ledge watching what appeared to be a demon, an angel and a pixie. She could feel the slight presence of other in the woods but still debated whether she should make contact with these creatures. Playing slightly with the water as it rushed over the edge she watched as the three below chatted, the man looking slightly uncomfortable. Maybe it is all the female attnetion. It could be that they were thrust here in a similair fashion to me. They don't look harmful... She mused as she gripped her bow just to be safe. What was it they are always telling me...ahh right...observe first, act second. With a small sigh she ajusted herself into a more comfortable poistion to watch.
|
Feeling a bit nervous herself at this idea, she went into stealth mode and before he could blink, she disappeared into the trees and shadows. Fliting from tree to tree, the water became louder as she grew closer to the waterfall. Alert for any danger she stopped abruptly as she heard voices coming from the other side of the falls. wow that sounds like a good number of people She stiffened in alarm as she sensed the presence of demons. Silently moving closer to the sounds, she caught a glimpse of a makeshift camp. Looking closely she could make out the forms of people moving around. A few looked to be demons, she caught sight of an elf and a few pixies flying about. Hmmm that's a very odd assortment of creatures. I should get back to Delimant and let him know about all of this
Slipping back into the cover of the trees she began to make her way back to where Delimant was waiting for her. |
Andre stroked Tzipporah's hair. "I know, I know. It's all a little much. For all of us. I wanted to know why we are all here. But I know why I am here. Now." He said, he hesaited a moment, then went in for a kiss. He kissed her softly, pulling her closer to him. "Just know that I can take whatever you can dish out." He said, as he rested his head on her forehead.
Bard dropped his stick and blushed. "O-oh nothing!" He said, rubbing the back of his head. Bard thought he heard a noise coming from the woods, but he ignored it. "Oh I was a army general for a Queen." He said, remembering the beautiful Queen and her family. "What about you Lin? Where are you from? And what did you do?" He asked Lin. |
Delimant sat nearby and patiently waited for Whispers. He cleared his mind and began meditating to help rejuvenate his magical powers. His power was based on a spiritual force known as mana, that naturally regenerated in humanoids over time. The process could be accelerated through the use of meditation.
When he heard the faint sounds of sticks and leaves cracking, he exited his meditation, seeing Whispers return from her journey. "What did you find out?" He inquired, noting that she hadn't been gone a terribly long time. |
Tzipporah smiled softly and kissed Andre again. She rested down against him for a moment, then remember everyone at the camp. With a sigh, she looked at him. "Come... we should probably pick up the deer and bring it back to the camp. Plus, everyone there might wonder where we buggered off to..." She smiled, standing up and holding her hand out to him.
|
She has heard just the slightest whisper of a noise from behind her and Arianna had her bow and arrow ready as she searched the area with her eyes for any danger. Maybe it is a better idea to meet those in the camp. This woods are foreign to me... She debated the quickest way down and if she really felt like rushing into this group of random people. She enjoyed her solitude for a reason. Still standing with her weapon ready Ari debated bewteen searching the woods for solitude and going down to meet complete strangers.
|
Emerging from the woods to the tree they had stayed in last night, she was a bit worried. all those demons, i'm not sure if i like that. Walking up to Delimant she said, "There is a camp near the falls. It seemed to have a bit of everything in it. I know I saw another elf and some pixies but I also sensed the presence of demons. There didn't seem to be any fighting at the moment but I didn't watch for long."
Letting herself relax some she dropped to the ground to sit. Looking at Delimant curiously, "I didn't interrupt your meditation did I? May I ask what you were meditating on?" |
Delimant sighed. Demons? Lovely. Of all the things that we could run into. The elf could prove troublesome as well, especially if it is a dark elf. Delimant pondered this for a moment, then snapped out of it when he realized that Whispers had asked him a question.
"No, you did not interrupt me. I was simply clearing my thoughts as I have been taught to do. It helps to re-energize us in a way." He looked over at her and wondered what they should do. They could go and meet the camp, and risk the encounter with hostiles, or they could continue on. But where to? Neither of them knew where to go. "What do you think we should do Whispers?" |
With a serious expression on her face she looked at him for a moment. "Well, we could explore this area some more, but we don't really know whats out there or how dangerous it could possibly be. On the other hand we could go and find out more about the people i saw in the camp, but that also holds its dangers. They could be friendly or they could be hostile. If hostile, can I count on you to back me up with your magic if it comes to fighting? Hopefully it won't come to that but one never knows. I didn't sense any danger but that would be the risk we would have to take. Either way, both options are dangerous in their own way. I'm up for whatever you think would be the best choice." I can't belive I'm putting so much trust in him... She looked at him, waiting for his response.
|
"Of course I would back you up. You have done nothing thus far to show that my trust was ill-placed." Delimant replied with a smile. He slowly stood up and brushed off his robes. "This time though, I think it might be better to switch positions." He started. "I'm more familiar with diplomatic methods, and if something goes wrong, a surprise attack from you would put us in a much better position than if they knew our total strength up front."
For Delimant, this kind of logic was common place. Scholars of magic were expected to be able to control themselves, as to not abuse their powers. A stealthy rogue, on the other hand, might have a harder time biting their tongue. |
Somewhat startled that he wanted to take point, she gave a hesitant grin. "Sounds like a good plan to me. Surprise is a good thing to have on our side. The camp isn't far, about a half mile to the north. Ready?" She stood up and held out her hand to help him up.
|
Delimant took her hand, and they slowly made their way northward. The camp was now really close. He could feel the fear spiking through his body. It wouldn't halt his advancement, but it would hold as a constant reminder that he is not a god. As he surveyed the scene, the top of the waterfall was now visible in between the trees. He saw a shadowy figure at the top, and pointed it out to Whispers.
"What do you think that is?" he asked. |
Instantly on the alert, her eyes narrowed as she looked towards the shadowy figure. "Hmmm, I'm not sure. Could be another person, lost in this endless forest as we are. Let's go check it out, but be careful, they could be dangerous." Softly moving towards the figure, she suddenly realized she still had his hand. His hand is so warm, it's been a long time since I've touched anyone....kinda feels good
Shaking off her thoughts, she moves foward again, wary and alert. They slowly make their way towards the top of the falls. |
Ari stood tensed as her ear twitched at the noise. She had been certain she was imagning things earlier, but this was a voice. Her hands tightened slightly on her bow as she shifted to see the woods from the corner of her eye. Nothing can take me by surprise this way...I hope. Shifting her gaze from the forest back to the camp Ari waited to see what was going to happen.
|
Delimant and Whispers carefully scaled up the waterfall path, hoping that no one from the camp would notice them. It would be pretty easy to see them if someone were actually paying attention. Luckily, it looked as if they were all distracted with their discussion.
Finally, they made it to the top, and from the edge of the tree line to the river, they could see the mysterious person. Delimant motioned at Whispers to stay back and cloaked, and Delimant slowly but carefully walked out. "Hail, fellow brethren. Are you lost out here?" Delimant asked the unknown elf. |
Cloaking herself more fully she watches carefully as Delimant shows himself to the stranger. He better be careful Surprisingly she feels protective of him, more than she had realized. How could this be? This was strange to her, she hadn't felt anything for anyone in some time.
Tensing, she waits to see what will happen, her dagger ready. |
She had heard him a second before he spoke and had already Aimed her arrow straight at his heart before she took a good look at him. Another High elf from the look of him. She thought as she glanced at his attire. Practitioner of magic as well. Taking a slight leap of faith Ari slowly lowered her weapon. "Hail." Ari said with a slight bow. "Lost is an apt word. Are you also lost?" Ari watched the man and the woods carefully.
|
"Yes. I was teleported here from my own world." Delimant replied, hesitantly taking a step forward. "I was about to head towards the camp down below, but I was a bit worried. I heard that there may be demons there. Since you have a nice vantage point, have you noticed anything about them?"
Delimant kept his cool, and was hoping Whispers was staying safe. He didn't trust this elf yet, as she could have been a look out for the camp. |
