"I have only been here a few days as well. I was investigating a strange mansion filled with undead when I was lured into a portal and sent to this world. So far, there hasn't been anything hostile, but with what we will meet up with at the camp, I can't be so sure." Delimant said as he continued walking along with Ari and Afanassii.
|
"Oh?" Nassii perked up. "Perhaps you know more about the camp ... inhabitants, shall we say? Than I do. I met the pixie and an.. angellic? friend. There was a man with them, though he didn't speak much I didn't get any strange feeling from him."
He turned to Del, "Tell me, do you have a factual reason to fear those at the camp? Or is this just caution or paranoia? I ask because when I first met you three, none of you seemed particularly at ease. Even Ari here was ready to draw weapon at me." |
Andre was slicing away at the beast as Keith attacked it. It was wild and intense with his attacks, Andre held back a little as Keith's last attack damaged the beast a great deal. As the beast was hurting, he heard a scream and it wasn't the beast, it was Tzip. "TZIP! Where are you?!" Andre yelled rushing the mass of dying monster. He lunged atop the creature, ripping skin and meat from it, his hands and arms bloody and covered in slime. He knew she was close, but he didn't know how close. He had to get to her, he was desprate to get her out of wherever she may be.
Bard was quite impressed with Keith's fighting ablities. He landed near the large demon man, folding his wings close to his body. He didn't need to transform at all, which is was glad. He didn't like his crow form as much as he did his humanoid one. He heard a girl scream from the depths of the beast. "Andre! She's inside!" Bard called out to his dark elf friend. He rushed over to help Andre find Tzip in the mass of blood, guts and slime. It was disgusting and vile, but Bard waded through, digging at the rotten flesh of the monster. |
Ari Blushed and brought herself back to the conversation. "I am sorry about that. But I was on edge from being thrown into a new place. And not knowing how others would act when we approached them had me on my guard." Ari looked down and watched the ground as she continued walking. "I would only have attacked if we had been attacked ourselves. But There is no reason for that now. We all are in this together at this point." Oh great. I hope he knows it wasn't anything personal...I really do like him. Curse me and my overprotective nature. Ari thought as she continued watching the ground as they continued towards the camp.
|
"It's more caution than anything else." Delimant started. "In my world, demons and dark elves are enemies of high elves, and are constantly at war with one another." He looked over at Ari who was looking down, then back over at Afanassii. "Though we really don't mean any harm in it. We are just watching out for ourselves."
|
Chiko appeared in the shadow of the trees and streched herself. "Took long enough.", she mumbled and smiled.
"Oh I can meet up with October again! I hope she didnt forget me, now that she is my friend!" she laughed and jumped through the trees. |
Afanassii nodded and smiled warmly at the two. "I understand." A few steps later he turned his head again. "You said demons and dark elves?" He raised his thin eyebrows. "Are they at the camp as well, then?"
|
Chiko ran around the camp and sang. She danced above the waterwall in the air with her plushie and floated around.
"I could stay here forever! Hey Nel, shall we? Of course after our mision. We can ask october if we can stay at her place!" |
Keith very much enjoyed ripping this beast to shreds. The feeling it brought him was very reminiscent of the older days when he lead armies against other armies. He hated what he had done, but at the same time, a sick twisted pleasure had been brought to him each time. That feeling was slowly returning. When he heard what bard had said, he immediately stopped. In fighting the was he was, there was a huge possibility of putting the girl at risk. He knew if anything had happened to her, and he was at fault, it was not going to end well. He resumed attacking the beast, but now being much more careful where he hit. He would leave the collecting of the girl in Andre's hands.
|
Lin woke up from her nap, she fell asleep at the "emo tree". She got up and stretched. he looked ay.ound, but everything was blurry. "Is anyone here?" she asked.
|
Andre and Bard worked together to find Tzip, Andre calling out her name. Andre dug into the beast, his body shaking with nerves. "Tzip, baby, where are you?!" He called out again and again. He couldn't explain how much he needed to find her. He thought he could see the top of her blue head. "Oh angel, are you there?!" He called, trying to reach that bit of blue he saw. Before too long, Andre had with the help of Bard, found Tzip. Andre reached down into the creature, grabbing her. "Oh Tzip! There you are!" He said in relief. Bard sat back, smiling softly and trying to get the muck off his hands and arms.
|
Tzipporah could finally smell fresh air. Light had begun to illuminate where she was. When she heard Andre's voice, she immediately turned. Chocking on the fresh air, she was eternally grateful for feeling his arms around her. His skin burned against her, but the feeling was amazing. She wanted to cry she was so happy. Gasping for air, she held onto Andre tightly. She looked up at him with an almost have grin. "What the hell took you so bloody long?" She teased. She looked around and saw Bard there, then saw Keith. The male demon was much different then she had remembered him being. She wondered if she was capable of the same thing. Maybe one day he could teach her. For now, she just wanted to go home.
Keith was relieved to see the girl was hell. More than likely she would be sick at one point. Many toxicins from being inside the creature had probably leaked into her. But for now it was just important getting her home. Keith looked around the cave. Something was changing. There darkness that had once filled it seemed to be disappearing. He watched as the blood stains on the walls slowly seemed away, and the creature itself seemed to fade. Soon there was no trace of it ever being there. Keith looked around questioningly. He decided now was as good as any time to start his transformation back. He knew it would drain his energy to go back, but the longer he remained in that form the harder it was for him to go back. |
At some point, Kaito had grown bored with waiting for his sister to awaken and he fell asleep next to her. Kasumi woke with a start, jostling her brother, who was draped over her, drooling.
"Huh-what!"?" he asked, jumping into the air, hovering still. "Can we eat now, brother?" she asked, sleepily. "Besides, we never got to meet everyone else..." The two of them were still nestled into the grass at the side of camp. They could see the others but were a bit shy at the moment and both were scared about being seen themselves. Kaito blushed again, as he was in habit to do, and pulled back some leaves of grass. "I don't know.... " |
Andre held Tzip to him. He laughed at her comment. "Oh dear, you didn't leave a a bread crumb trail you know." He teased, picking her up in his arms and holding her tight. He got up from the ground, carring her out of the cave. He barely noticed the beast and bloody walls disappearing, all he cared about at the moment was her. He wanted to get her back to camp and take her to the hot spring and bathe with her. They both needed a little relaxing soaks.
Bard watched as the two started to exit the cave. He glanced over at Keith who seemed to be changing back to his orinigal form. Bard stood and watched as the cave changed around them. It was very curious to him, that the creature just faded away after they killed it. "Hmm.. strange...strange indeed." He mumbled to himself as he watched the blood fade from the walls. |
Ari looked up with a small smile as she pulled herself back into the conversation. "We did observe a Demon and Dark Elf at the camp." Ari replied to Nassii and then looked at Del. " Demons can always be a problem where I came from but we rarely have problems with Dark elves." Ari smiled at Nassii and Del and promptly tripped over a root.
|
Afanassii had caught Ari's smile and when she tripped he moved quickly, hoping to catch her before she fell.
|
Ari had expected to land face first on the ground and was surprised when instead her face bumped into a chest instead. Looking up she managed a small smile as she blushed seeing Nassii. "Thank you." Ari said quietly. How is it that since I came here I am so clumsy? This is annoying I am making myself look like a fool in front of him. Sighing a little Ari started to straighten herself up in Nassii's arms.
|
Nassii smiled warmly. "No trouble at all." he responded. He took a quick look over ad Del and a blush spread across his delicate features. He cleared his throat and slowly backed away from Ari, once he knew she was steady on her feet once again.
|
Keith walked with the happy couple and Bard out of the cave. The smell had gone from the air, and once they reached the opening to the cave, everything was back to normal. The trees were all alive and well, and birds were singing. Keith was stumped; how could this be. Rather then trying to figure it out, he wanted to just get back to camp. It had become his home, and he missed it. He wanted to relax and rest. All of them needed it.
Tzipporah was slightly dizzy from being exposed to all the fresh air, but she was so happy. She held onto him, smiling as she rested her head on his shoulder. His warmth was all too familiar and she had missed it. She would never let go of him again. |
Ari wanted to whine as Nassii stepped away taking her out of his arms. She had enjoyed being there. Instead she managed a smile and a nod. "Thank you." Ari steadied herself and took a few steps forward and smiled waiting for the others. "So let's get to this camp." Ari turned around and tried to keep her smile in place as she sighed a little and headed off in the direction that Nassii had been heading in.
|
The redhead's ears perked up, not missing the sigh. He looked down and spaced out for a few moments. Soon, Afanassii could hear the sound of talking in the distance and when the crackle and pop of a fire joined the din, he knew it was the camp. By now, his keen-eard elven companions would have heard the sounds as well so he knew there was no need to point out the obvious so he merely turned to them and smiled once again.
Not wanting to startle the camp inhabitants at all by suddenly appearing or attempting to sound like they were quietly sneaking up upon them, he simply raised his voice a little louder than normal and called out. "Salutations, fellow travelers and companions of Miss October. I was wondering if we may join you this fine evening?" (Who is all in the camp, anyway? O.o) |
(The four of us are coming back to camp. :D)
Andre sighed as the fresh air filled his lungs. It was good to be out of that stink and out in the fresh air. "Let's head home, we all need some rest." He said, looking at everyone. He was appericative to Keith and Bard for helping him. They didn't have to help him at all. He gave Tzip a squeeze as he carried her back to their camp. Bard stretched his wings in the light and fresh air of the forest. The Wind spirits were happily whispering and he felt light and happier. He watched Andre and Tzipporah with envy, wishing he'd be able to find someone to love that deeply and was loved back just as deeply. He shrugged off the thought just as a new feeling washed over him. He paused in mid step, his eyes wide. He could feel his twins, they were close. He wasn't sure how close, but they were here. "It can't be..." He mumbled to himself. |
Ari had heard the makings at the camp as they were approaching and managed to keep a smile on her face when Nassii looked at her before calling out to the camp. Wandering forward to stand next to Nassii's side Ari smiled feeling more comfortable there as her should brushed slightly against his.
|
Kasumi perked up at the noise and floated into the air, peeking out at the new arrivals from behind the camp-side end of a tree.
Her brother was nervous. He cupped his hands around his mouth and whispered,"Kasu!" He took a quick glance in both directions. "We have to stay together!" "Shh!" the hissed back before sticking out her tongue. "Come ...on!" he repeated, stomping a little foot on the ground. "Fine." she retorted in something like a "yelling" whisper. "Then you come up HERE!" Kaito, defeated, shook his head and moved to follow her. |
Kiako ran through the forest at full speed. She had been chased for days now, and she was running out of steam. The forest was her last chance of survival. She could hear the men behind her, but after a while of running, their voices faded. She kept going. The spot where her wings had been was opened and bleeding. She took little to no notice about the blood she had lost. The pain was intense, but she could bare it. Eventually she saw someone. A tall man, with large black wings. She ran to him, collapsing down in front of him.
Keith's transformation was almost completely gone when he felt the presence. He looked around worriedly. His wings came out as he looked around. He then heard them; the sound of running footsteps. When the women ran out in front of them and collapsed in front of Bard, Keith was at her side. He looked in the direction she had come from; there was no one following her. He put her hand down on her forehead. "Mother..." He said under his breath. Tzipporah watched the scene before her. Mother? She thought to himself. It seemed so strange to see. The woman looked younger than Keith, so to think she was his Mother was an odd concept. She looked at the blood coming from her. For some reason, the blood did not strike up her hunger. "Andre... Someone should do something..." |
