Kiako hit the ground hard from two blows and rolled off into the water. She swam fast and leaped out of the water, her wings keeping her hovering in the air. She surveyed as many of the people in the encampment rushed after her. This was a dangerous position for her to be in, but her demon half enjoyed it. Only one person in the crowd did she recognize. The male demon she had wounded; he had always been there. She loathed him most of all, and he was now weakened, he would have been a perfect target if not being so close to the others in the ground. There were two off to one side, and the angel she had previously attacked was out in the open with a Fae and a Human.
Kiako grinned, her smile crooked and filled with malice. She was going to attack him when her eye caught someone who was standing alone. A male with large black wings and blond hair. He was not transformed, and he did not seem as prepared to fight her. She had a split second opportunity. In attacking her vision tunneled, leaving a large weak spot. She folded her wings, falling through the air at lightning speed and heading straight for Bard. When she connected her blow with him she would annihilate, and his blood would give her the strength she needed to sustain this form. Keith watched as Kiako surveyed the area. She quickly moved for Bard. He tried to move before she did nut his chest seared in pain. He was on his knees when she went in for the attack. He yelled at the tengus, hoping they could get to her bother she did Bard. She would surely kill him if not. "Her vision is focused on one thing, hitting her in the head is your best chance! Go before she killed him!" He coughed, gripping onto the open wound in his chest. He had deep puncture wounds from where her claws and raptor claw connected with him. His ribs had broken under the force of the blow, and his cage had been crushed. He stood up once more, panting. He was the only one who knew how to control her, well, for the most part. He grabbed several more crosses from his shirt. He would need to pin her down, and the only was to do that was to bring her to the edge of death. Only then would she be weak enough to be stopped. Keith watched the Tengu boys move, and saw a very large spider. He looked around and saw Izaradas. He gave up a small smile to her, then moved forward himself for the attack. He only prayed that this time he would not miss. They would not get another chance after this. Tzipporah felt herself being pulled away. She followed who ever was leading her. She had not clued in that it was Andre. Even when Andrea spoke to her, her face had no emotion to it. She blankly stared at him. She barely breathed, her heart barely giving off a single beat. Tzipporah was petrified; unsure of what to do next. A small tear eventually rolled down her cheek. It was then that all that had happened hit she. She didn't want to believe it. How could a woman who looked so fragile, so sad become something like... that. She had no way to explain it. When she finally saw Andrea, she wrapped her arms around him, her body shaking in fear. She held onto him as tightly as she could, never wanting to let him go. She began to cry, which quickly turned to sobbing. It had fully settled on her what her kind was capable of. This was the first time she had ever been exposed to such pure hatred. She wondered if it could be found in herself, and she began to fear that one day she might snap and kill Andrea; that thought only pushed her further into tears. Pandora felt the man leave her. She felt completely alone in that moment and wanted to cry. She could not see, and the spirits of the forest screamed in fear, panic and death too loudly for her to ignore what them. She had no concept of what was happening to everyone around her. She wrapped her arms around herself, shaking. She hoped whatever sinister evil was here would soon vanish. Pan soon found something warm wrapped around her. She recognized the hold. Her eyes were closed as the familiar comforting arms wrapped around her protectively and a soft voice spoke to her. Aiasha watched as Sho left Pandora's side. Rage filled her in that instant. Leaving her side left Pandora completely vulnerable. The girl was blind, and could not fight on her own. Aiasha dropped her bow and ran to her as fast as she could, hoping not to draw attention to them. Luckily, the monster was being kept occupied by Sho and the others. "Shush Pandora, I am here. Do not worry, I will protect you..." She whispered quickly. She heard Ko speak to her and nodded. She took Pandora's hand and ran deep into the forest. It was all she could do to keep her safe. She found a tree whose roots had grown out of the ground and formed a small guarded and barely noticeable hole. It was only large enough for one however. She lead Pandora into the hole, and covered the front with leaves. "Promise me you will stay here. This tree will protect you." With that, Aiasha got up and ran back to the camp. Her heart strings pulled as she knew leaving Pandora was risky, but at least the girl was safe. When she came back to the clearing, Aiasha picked up her bow and fired an arrow at Kiako. It pieced through her ankle, but Kiako took no notice of it. Dream shook his head. He had made up his mind. He looked at her and kissed her. "If I leave now, and something were to happen to you, I would not forgive myself. If I am here, I can protect you. I WILL protect you." He vowed to her, bringing her hand to his lips and lightly placing a kiss upon it. He then embraced her, running his fingers through her hair. He could feel as the presence grew in power, but did not react to it. He was trying to keep his own levels down, hoping that they were hidden enough not to get caught if the presence began to move towards them. For not, it was stationary in camp. He prayed it remained there. |
"Of course," the fae responded, a seemingly obvious course of action now that Prygus had suggested it. He nodded and looked down at the girl.
Gingerly, he knelt on one knee by her side and bent to pick her up. The thought crossed his mind that he had never carried any unconscious woman before - let alone an angelic one. |
Her eyes widened with the intensity he had in his voice. No one had ever cared about her this much. Her heart stirred and grew warm at his words and touch. She kissed him back gently and wrapped her arms around him. She was extremly sore but the pain had lessened to a steady throb instead of the intense agony she had been in before.
She loved the feel of his fingers as they moved through her hair, the motion soothing her. She hated to feel this weak but there was nothing she could do about it. "You are so kind to me." Biting her lip she hesitantly paused. Gathering her courage she whispered softly, "I-i think I may be falling for you...." A bright red blush covered her cheeks and she ducked her head, shy for once instead of the outgoing fae she normally was. With some unease in his heart he went over to help Nassii with the woman. Together they moved back into the shadows under the trees. Finding a spot near a tree that the shadows grew more darkly in, he pointed to it. "There. We shouldn't be seen very easy from that spot." Unsure why he was so uneasy with Nassii carrying the woman he tried to brush it off as something insignificant, but found he couldn't. There was no reason for this feeling. After all, he had laid no claims to Nassii nor Nassii to him yet he felt this connection to him that he couldn't explain. Glancing over at the Fae he found himself noticing just how beautiful the man was again. |
Ari had frozen in fear as the assult of power had washed over her. She snapped out of it as Ko had gone forward to fight, her heart beatting frantically as she worried that he would be hurt. The elven girls ran off and Ari took her bow and arrows out and took aim at Kai. Her fist shot struck Kai in her leg but she seemed to pay no attention to it. Ari watched as Keith pulled crosses out from under his clothing, his blood and wounds causing her some worry. If crosses stopped Kai maybe she could fire one at her. Ari rushed forward towards Keith with little thought to her safety and watched as Kai went after Bard. Once close to Keith Ari asked. "Will those stop her?" Ari gestured towards the crosses. "If so then maybe I can fire one at her."
Rai moaned as she felt herself being moved a cough shaking her body as she choked up a bit of water. Her eyes snapped open and she looked around quickly. Quickly struggling to her feet Rai looked at the man in front of her and then her eyes scanned the area and landed on Sho. He seemed alright but Kai was heading towards Bard. If Bard was hurt Sho would suffer. She heard what Keith had called out and did the only thing she could think of to help. Rai forced herself up to her feet and shaking the excess water from her wings rose into the air. "Kiako!" Rai yelled out as she flew towards her hoping to intercept her before she reached and hurt Bard. If Bard get's hurt Sho will be hurt. I won't let Sho be hurt. Her eyes glowing slightly silver Rai continued forward her hand on the hilt of her sword. Sayo watched amused from her spot in the tree. Kiako had snapped and her power was impressive. The lowly demon would prove useful if the other's didn't kill her. Noticing that the crosses were Kai's weekness in this form Sayo made a mental note of it and waited to see if she would be needed to subdue the demon. If all goes according to plan then Kai will kill of Rai before this is over with and at least one of my jobs will be done. Now we will just have to see how we can use this in the future. a cold smile appeared on Sayo's lips as she continued to watch the fight. |
"What in the world..?!" Nassii responded, reaching off to the woman he just helped save. "Wait! - " but she was already long gone, moving far faster on her wet wings than he would have expected her to.
"Now what?!" he said, throwing up his hands in exasperation. He didn't know if he should get involved in the fight. From where he stood, he didn't know if anyone he was familiar with was in the midst of it and he could not make heads or tails over who was right or wrong. He shook out his red hair, hoping it would dry faster and took a seat at the foot of a nearby tree. After the adrenaline faded, he was left even more exhausted than before and his eyes were starting to look a bit glassy. |
Looking at the woman who had just ran off with astonishment, he shook his head. "Well so much for helping her. Looks like she's fine." His words were laced with amusement. Inside he felt what could only be called relief.
Looking over he noticed that Nassii looked exhausted. "When was the last time you slept?" Concerned he sat down next to him. "Maybe you should rest. I don't think any of them are going to pay us any mind since that woman's not with us anymore." He looked deeply into Nassii's eyes with concern. He once again found himself entranced by the mans beautiful eyes. "If you like I can stand over there and keep guard so that no one disturbs you..." He said this very reluctantly, not wanting to leave his side. What was it about this man that made him feel this way? He waited, looking into his eyes, to see what he would say. |
Bard saw that Kiako was coming for him. He stood there waiting for her. As she neared him, he lifted his sword and then tossed it to the ground. If he was going to die, he'd die by her hands. He spread his arms and wings out wide, as if he was going to embrace her. Bard had no intention of letting anyone get harmed, he would gladly lay his life down for Kiako. He stood firmly even as Keith yelled to the twins. "KIAKO! KNOW THIS! I LOVE YOU!" He bellowed at her again, then waited for his sweet killing touch.
Shojiro flew into action as soon as he heard Keith. Aiming for her head, Shojiro brought down his scythe in a gracfully yet powerful hit. He hit her dead on, the base of his weapon connecting with Kiako's skull. It made a sickening sound. Shojiro grabbed the woman with his taloned feet, trying to hold her back from his father. He knew that Bard would rather die by the hands of the woman he loves then have to face her in battle. He may be in his weaker form, but Bard was still a fighter and would have fought her if he hadn't loved her so much. This had hit a sensitive spot for all three of them, stirring up ghosts in their pasts. "KO!" He yelled. Kojiro roared as he saw Kiako go after his father. When Keith yelled to go for her head, Ko did just that. With his dual scythes, Ko swung around and flew towards Kiako. As his brother bought his weapon down on her so did Ko. At the same moment, their weapons stuck the demon's head. He aught sight of Ari with her bow and arrows. He shook his head, trying not to get distracted. He grabbed the woman with his talon as Sho yelled for him. As they both took hold of her, they flapped their massive wings together, pulled her away from Bard. "No one hurts Father." He grunted. Andre caught her in his arm, kissing the top of her head. "Oh Tzip, baby, it's alright." He whispered in her hair. She was scared, hell he was too. He could fight something as fast as whatever Kiako had become. Andre held Tzip, not knowing what else to do. He had to think of her right now, not the others. He prayed to whatever God or Goddess was watching over them. He hoped everything would go back to normal real soon and all this fighting would end. "Don't cry, baby." He whispered to Tzip, stroking her hair and kissing her softly. He knew what she was thinking, that she would one day do the same thing. He just held her, knowing that her fear will always be there. Izaradas saw Keith try to get back into battle with the she-demon. "You better not die!" She yelled at him. She chanted, Keith's body glowing her faint green glow. She casted a healing and shield spell on him. Now he would be able to take more hits and not get as injured as well as his wounds would begin healing a bit quicker. Her gaint spider rambled over to where Kiako had took off to, it had been confused as to where it's prey had went. She sighed at it, shaking her silver hair. She watched her demon male as he continued to battle, making her surge with a pride she had never known before. She would;ve been firing off energy blasts at the demon, but there was already too many people involved. So she merely watched, until a sense of wickedness took over her. She blinked, feeling this person's strong wave of malice. It much reminded her of her mother. Her mother was the head of the house before she was killed, in all reality her and Andre are only half siblings. Her mother was the matron of the house, the cruelist being in all of history. Izaradas tracked the malice hate she felt to an angel in a tree. "So, you want the dark winged girl killed, do you?" Izaradas said, her own malice grin spreadind to her posionous lips. She looked up at the other woman, the urge to rip those perfectlywhite wings from her back. "I want to pull your feather out one by one. Merely for being the cause to my demon male's wounds." She said, her vice thick with posion. |
He hadn't the slightest clue why, but Prygus was a comforting presence. He smiled warmly when he saw his concerned face. "No... it will be all right." he said, nodding to the thought.
"I haven't been up for that long, less than two days, actually. But the sun has been dragging me down all day." He squinted at the sky in the distance, hoping to be able to judge the time left in the day. He looked back into Prygus's searching eyes and smiled seductively. "Come sit next to me?" he asked him. |
The blow to Kiako's head did an extreme amount of damage. It stunned her, her body falling limp. She would have hit the ground if not for Sho's large Talon's wrapping around her shoulders. She felt Ko grab onto her as well. In that moment of pain, she heard the words from Bard. Part of her awoke deep from within herself. Instead of having only one pupil, her second one formed back. She was still the same monster as before, but there was something stopping her from going after Bard.
The two on her shoulders however were free game. She regained a part of her strength, but not enough to get herself out. Her body was quickly healing itself, and once it was done, she would break free and return to the blood crazed killing machine. The part of her that woke up screamed in agony. Her body currently was working with two separate personalities active, and the stress was agonizing. Keith watched the scene before him. He turned to Ari and nodded. "They will calm her, but there is an opening. I need your help, quickly..." His voice was choked in his throat as blood leaked down from his lips. He had a barrier around him, but it would not last. He moved and put his arm around Ari, and used her to stand. He moved quickly with the girl to were Kiako was hanging. He could see the wounds heal as she struggled. He handed Ari a cross. "The neck... dead center... Do not miss..." Tzip continued to cry until she felt the presence die down. Slowly she began to relax, and her body eventually calmed itself down. She looked up at Andre. He was just as afraid as she was, but she knew that as long as he was with her she would be safe. She just feared now what was going to happen with her. Aiasha watched as the men brought the monster down to her knees. Not know what Kiako was like before this sudden change, Aiasha figured she was just some crazed beast. However, when the man spoke to her and claimed his love for her, it struck a nerve. She needed to confront Sho. It was not fair of him to just abandon Pandora in such a way. She was going to give that boy a piece of her mind when all was said and done. Dream knew now was not the time for this. He was still on high alert, but if it would keep her mind at ease and occupied, he was alright with talking to her. "Yes... I find myself coming to love you as well Whispers..." |
Knowing this wasn't a good time, she just hadn't been able to help herself. Shocked at his words her head shot up and she looked deeply into his eyes. Instead of the coldness she had come to expect until just recently she saw nothing but concern and perhaps love coming from his eyes.
"I-i didn't think you would feel the same", she murmured. Locking down her feelings, she looked back at the camp. Her body was healing quite fast as was common for her. She was almost at her former strength, with just some aches here and there. Steeling her resolve she turned back to him. "I think we need to go back and find out whats going on and help if necessary. I'm healed enough to help fight and I want to do this." She slowly moved from his lap and stood, shakily at first and then with greater confidence. Stretching her arms above her head and her wings out, she only felt slight stiffness and a few aches. She flapped her wings experimentally and found to her delight that they were fully healed. The scarlet in them glinted in the fading light. |
Ari was only slightly shocked as Keith put an arm around her and she helped him walk forward. His wounds were serious and she wished she had time to heal them but it would have to wait. When Keith stopped Ari took the cross and notched it aiming carefully so as not to hit Sho or Ko. "As if I would miss." Ari said with a small frown on her lips. Sure and steady Ari released the cross and watched as it pierced through the center of Kiako's neck. "Will I need another?" Ari asked hand held out ready just in case. As soon as this was over she would use what abilities she had to heal Keith.
Rai had all but stopped short as she watched Sho and Ko restaining Kai. Her chest was in pain and she felt herself sinking lower towards the ground as the pain started to become to much to handle. Rai nearly gasped as she watched a cross sink into Kai's neck. Rai watched carefully to see if Sho or Ko was hurt but couldn't help it when she sank to the ground panting at the effort it had taken her to fly after being attacked. She knew that her lungs were bruised and that she might have a broken rib. "Sho, please be alright." Rai said quietly as her vision started to blur. Sayo looked calmly at the woman in front of her. "Wanting the black winged girl is nothing surprising as it was what I was sent here to do." Sayo merely sighed at the woman as she wished this lesser being would leave her alone. "As for causing "your" male demon harm I have done nothing of the sort. I am simply observing to see what will happen. Should the girl die in the mean time then I will have simply had my job finished for me." Sayo had no use for talking with this girl anymore and ignored her as she watched them shoot an arrow through Kiako's neck. Interesting. I wonder if this is how they subdue her. |
Bard was angry at his boys for getting involved, but he was proud of them. He saw that something had changed in her. She stopped trying to get to him, however her attention seemed to shift to his sons. Before he could react, Ari shot the cross right in Kiako's throat. He screamed as it connected with her flesh, not knowing what it was going to do to her. His heart tore even more as he watched her, he could feel her agony and pain. He dropped to his knees, not knowing what else to do. He just wanted his Kiako back, he just wanted to hold her in his arms wheither it be in the here and now or in the afterlife. He fought the urge to beat everyone off her, knowing that it was the best for them to restain her at that moment.
Sho grunted as he could feel Kiako change her target for attacks. He looked over at Ko who was feeling the same thing. "At least she doesn't want father anymore." He said to him. Ko laughed grimmly at that. Neither of them knew if they were going to survive if Kiako was able to attack them. He sighed a sigh of relief as Ari fired a cross into Kiako's neck. He could feel her start to go limp, something in her changing. Ko smiled at Ari as she fired her cross at Kiako. He had felt her start to change, her attention had gone to them instead their father. He and Sho began to lower Kiako onto the ground as she had gone limp. They didn't start to release her until Keith told them it would be alright to let go of her. He didn't want to let go and then she wakes and goes on another blood lust driven spree again. Andre continued to hold Tzip, glad she had calmed a little. "Don't worry, love, we will be fine. You won't ever flip out on me like that." He said with such firm belief it had to be true. He hoped she would believe it too. He touched her face, looking at her with such love. He could see his whole world inside her eyes. "As long as we are together, everything will be fine." He reassured her, brushing away any tears that remain on her pretty face. Izaradas growled low in her throat at the woman. She thought she was better than everyone else. Izaradas laughed at her. "You are truly foolish." She said. "You are not worth my time." Izaradas said as she waved her hand dismissively at the arrogant angel. She walked away, her hips twitching. She caught sight of Keith, his injuries bad. She went to him, glaring at his wounds. "Now look at what you've done to your body." She said. She wanted to be caring, but she didn't know how to be. |
Keith coughed, looking over to his Mother. She calmed down much faster then usual. As he felt her presence shift, he moved quickly, pulling the cross from her neck and healing the would. He nodded to Sho and Ko. "Trust me... she will be harmless in a moment. His wrods were true. That form took most of her energy from her body, and when it was done, it left her in a powerless state. Within a few moment, She had gone from having long elegant blond hair to black hair that was just past shoulder length. Her ears had changed into normal human ears, and any form of power within her was not locked away. Keith sat back, his body finally collapsing on itself.
He laughed and coughed at the same time when Izaradas approached him. It wasn't the reaction he was expecting. "Well.. excuse me for trying to--" He rolled onto his side, blood pouring from his lips as he coughed. He was in pain, but he was trying his best not to show it. Wounded? Yes, that was obvious, but the amount of pain? He did not want people to know just how bad it was. The human Kiako stirred after a moment. She looked around, rubbing her eyes. Horror stuck her face as she saw Sho and Ko; even Bard scared her. She let out a scream and looked at them frantically. "Who are you? What are you? Where am I?" her head raced. She back up until she tripped over Keith's body. She looked down, recognizing him. It was the only person she was not afraid of. Keith looked at Her and raised his hand, touching her cheek in a consoling way. "Hush Kailee, hush. They will not hurt you, I promise..." Kailee looked at the demon. She was not afraid of him. On the contrary, she loved him. She did not know he was actually her son. In this form, Kailee was not older then 15. She stayed close to Keith's side, holding onto his hand. She cried softly, holding onto him. Keith had no idea why she cried exactly, but consoled her all the same to the best of his abilities. He signaled for Bard to come over. "Kailee... I want you to meet a friend of mine. He is going to watch over you until I am better..." "You promise?" "I promise..." Tzipporah smiled softly upon hearing his words. She looked at him and kissed him deeply, whispering 'I love you' in between every kiss. Aiasha Stood in front of the girl, in almost shock. Had she not just witnessed it, she would have never made the connection between the demonic Monster and this black haired green eyed human. It astounded her how they could possibly be the same person. The man on the ground seemed to know her. If he got better, she would need to find out what exactly was going on. |
Ari watched as Kai turned into a human girl. The transformation was shocking but she was less concerned with the change as she was that both of them were uninjured. She watched as Keith had blood dripping from him as he tried to console the girl. Ari watched for a moment and then could stand it no longer. Croutching beside Keith quietly and smiling slightly at the girl, as Ari did not wish to scare her further, she held her hand over Keith's chest and chanted a healing spell she knew hoping that it would help him with the pain. A flash of green light came from her hands as she held them inches away from his chest. "I hope this helps a little." Ari said quietly making sure to not once touch Keith or the girl.
Rai watched as Kai changed and smiled as the girl seemed to have calmed down. She could feel Bard's pain and wished it would go away for him but she was barely able to focus now and as her vision went black Rai lay on the ground trying to catch her breath her head spinning slightly from nearly drowning and the pain in her chest. At least Sho is safe. She thought with a small smile. Sayo watched interested as the powerful demon Kai turned into a meak human named Kailee. Oh this will be useful. Sayo thought with a smile as she planned ways for Kai's transformation to be triggered again. |
Bard watched at the woman he loved disappeared all together. As she screamed at the sight of him and hudled near Keith, he felt tears come to his eyes. He felt as if someone had ripped his soul out of his chest. When Keith summon him over to him and the human Kiako, Bard got up and walked over, slowly. He wasn't sure where he got the strength. He knealt next to her and smiled, it was a sad smile. "Hello there, I'm Bard." He said softly. He had to pretend to be strong at the moment, he had to bury his pain and help Keith and the human Kiako. His normaly bright and happy green eyes were dull and lifeless, he felt as if all that was joyous was drained from him.
Sho had quickly changed back to his humanoid form. He sank to his knees, tears flowing from his sadden blue eyes. His father's heart was shattered, he could feel it. Even as Bard put on a smile for the human Kiako, Sho could feel his father's anguish, it was enough to make him cry openly as he was now. He was weakened by the strong emotion he was getting, unable to move. Ko looked away from his father and Sho, unable to bear the pain. He walked away, changing back to his tanne d skinned, blonde haired self. He sat away from everyone at the water fall, chucking things into the water. He was angered and sad all at the same time. It was happening all over again for his father and he couldn't stand it. There was nothing he could do either, the human Kiako was just reacting as she could. Andre smiled against her lips, taking her kisses and returning them with his own. "I think it's safe to return to the camp, if you want to go back." He said. He wouldn't mind just staying where they were. He finally looked around them, realizing it was the spot he had picked out for their cabin. He smiled even more, knowing that this was the place for their home. Izaradas smiled at him until he rolled over and coughed up more blood. Her healing spells didn't seem to be working on him. She cursed lightly and knealt next to him, her hands on his shoulders. When the she-demon changed into a woman and clung to Keith's hand, she felt a pang of jealous. It grew even more when he consoled the girl, touching her cheek. She glared at the girl, but didn't say anything, it wasn't her place. Keith wasn't really hers and she knew it. But she couldn't help herself, she wanted to stay by him. |
Kailee looked to the man. She was afraid, but Keith had told her it was okay, and she trusted him. She waved to him, looking at him. She moved towards him and sat down facing him. She swallowed hard as her voice stammered. "H-Hi... M-m-m-my name is Kailee..." She was nervous. She looked back at Keith, who just nodded his head to her. To turned back to Bard and gave him a small smile. She looked into his eyes; they seemed so sad to her. She raised her hand, unsure of what she was doing. Eventually she ended up just wrapping her arms around him and hugging him. "I don't like when people have sad eyes. Everyone always has sad eyes with me..." She whispered softly. She was forgiving as a child. Her innocence allowed her to see the good in everyone, even if they frightened her.
He was so warm against her. In his hug, she felt her fears slowly slip away from her. Keith smiled, knowing everything was going to be alright for her now. People were trying their best to heal him, but it just was not working. She had leaked a blood into his system when she collided with him. He felt his insides begin to rot out. Even he did not know what to do to prolong his life. He took hold of Izaradas' hand, his eyes closed. He smiled softly, a single tear rolling down his cheek. He was dying, but he was happy. He felt consciousness slipping from him. Had his time really come to an end? If he could hold on until Kiako reverted, perhaps he could be saved. His eyes shut tighter. His was exhausted, and his world was going black. He needed something to cling to, some form of living being to hold on to. |
Bard held her in his arms gently, his heart still hurting, but the pain was beginning to dull. He felt a real smile on his face as they hugged. "It's ok, Kailee. I'm not sad anymore." He softly. He knew it wasn't her fault that she didn't know him. He didn't full understand what happened to his Kiako, but he'll try to be happy. He'll try to care for the child in his arms, much like he cared for Sho and Ko as children
Izaradas held on to Keith, something wet on her face. She was crying, real tears. She had never cried in her life. She didn't know why she was crying, but the thought of Keith leaving this plane of existence left her feeling hallow inside. Her head grew heavy and she laid it on his shoulder. Before she could stop it, she begin crying, her chest heaving. "D-don't..l-leave...me!" She cried, her tears dampening his shoulder. She had never cried for anyone, not even her mother. Izaradas squeezed his hand, her other hand covering her face. "Please!" She cried out again. |
Ari watched as nothing she did helped Keith. Panic gripped her as she tried anothe spell. Nothing was working as she watched his body decaying infront of her. "What can I do?" Ari asked in a strained voice. "Is there anything?" Ari could see Keith weakening and was unsure what to do.
Rai could feel his pain and tears and forced herself to get up her eyes focusing enough to see Sho in tears. Forcing herself to all but crawl over to Sho she didn't hesitate and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Don't cry." Rai said softly. "You have such a kind heart" She was weak and her hold on him lessened as she continued to try to comfort him. "Sho I am right here, you can cry on my shoulder." Rai tried to comfort him when she felt the death, it gripped at her heart with fear. "Keith" Rai all but whispered as she forced herself to stand staggering over to his body. he had protected her, saved her from what she knew would have been her own death. "This isn't happening." Rai said in denial. "You can't die, you are so strong." Guilt was racing through her as she knelt by Keith's side opposite of the crying dark elf. "What can I do? What do you need? Take it from me if you need it." She owed this man her life and she would gladly have given hers to repay that debt. Sayo was grinning with delight as she watched the powerful male demon on his death bed. It could not have worked out more perfectly for her. With the most powerful demon out of the way she would have no problem picking the others off one by one till she could finish her mission. |
Kailee smiled and kissed Bard's cheek. She stood up and turned to Keith. "Hey, Keith! You're right! This guy IS --" Her thought feel short when she saw the blood dripping from her his and the two women resting down on him. She covered her mouth; blood made her very uneasy. She turned and hide herself in Bard's shoulder. Right now, the one person who had not walked out on her was laying broken in pieces. Her fear of Bard was gone, and right now she needed him. She needed to be away. She cried softly against Bard's shoulder.
Keith saw the reaction of Kailee and it torn him to pieces. He lifted a hand and gently brought it to rest on Izaradas' head. The woman was strong, and he couldn't imagine her crying over anything, yet here she was. He ran his hand down her hair, trying to calm her. "Shh... It will be alright. I have been through worse..." he coughed as he lied to her. Keith was a horrible liar and he knew it, but he was hoping at least it would allow her to smile for a moment. Watching people break down in front of him saddened him. He had fought to save them, and for his this was the best death he could possibly receive. His sacrifice meant others would live, and he was completely fine with this fact. He was terrified on this inside however. Death was something he delivered to many, but receiving was something he never thought he would ever face. The feeling of his body dying all around him scared him. He guessed this was what a human felt like; also feeling everything around them dying. Tzipporah nodded, taking Andre's hand. She held onto it tightly, looking at him. he was so gorgeous, she still could not believe it. She was the luckiest woman in the world in her eyes. She walked by his side, smiling the way. Aiasha could not watch the scene. Her heart hurt for the male demon. He had fought bravely, and yet the only thing offered for his efforts was a slow and painful death. She turned and saw Sho sitting on the ground. The man had been brought to tears himself. She walked over and rested a hand on his shoulder, then knelt down beside him. The only comfort she could offer him was the comfort of knowing he was not alone. |
Shojiro had felt arms around him briefly before they disappeared for him. His father's pain had subsided. He was able to fuction again, he wiped the tears from his face and stood. He saw the damaged that Keith had substained, he knealt near him, Izaradas and Ari. He folded his hands together and began chanting, his chants were quiet yet powerful, spreading a calming peace through the clearing. It was all he could do at the moment for Keith.
Bard held on to Kailee as she cried softly into his shoulder. He shielded her the best her could, stroking her hair. "It's ok, Keith will be fine. There's too many people who need him for him to die." He said, looking at Keith as he spoke the last part. Izaradas leaned into his touch. She couldn't see life without this demon. She fought to contain her tears. She looked at him, a sweet sad smile touching her lips. Her face was still damp with her tears as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. "I will hurt you if you leave me now. We didn't get to finish our game." She said through tears. Her chest felt hallow and empty, and it ached something terrible. Andre was all smiles until he caught the scene in the clearing. There was a young blacked haired girl clinging to Bard, who looked as if he just lost the love of his life. There was his sister weeping over Keith who looked to be on his last leg, Kojiro was off by the waterfall chucking things into it, Shojiro was chanting a death prayer, Ari and Rai were both trying to help Keith. He pulled Tzip to him, haulting their progess into the camp. She didn't need the stress of seeing everyone like that. "I don't think this was a good idea after all, love." He whispered. |
Keith looked at Bard when he spoke to Kailee. He would have smiled if he had the energy to do so. He let out a deep breath. He was shivering; his body felt cold. His eyes could barely stay open any longer. He let them close, letting everyone fade away from him. His hand went lip on the girls head. His heart beat could no longer be heard, and his breathing had stopped.
* * * Keith opened his eyes, and he was somewhere new. There was nothing but empty space around him. He sat up, no longer feeling the pain of his wounds. When he looked over himself, he saw no marks, no scars. His body was whole again. I must be dead... He thought to himself. He laughed, looking around. He guessed Izaradas was going to hurt him for that. He though about Syn, Izaradas, Kiako... He would miss his Mother. She relied on him, but he knew now that she had Bard she would be alright. He walked around for a while, becoming curious. He had not passed from this place, and he could still hear the people around his body. It was strange to him. "Have you had enough, Keith Alexander, or are you just being a coward?" Keith heard a familiar voice in his head. He turned around and saw Kiako's actual form floating as a spirit in front of him. She smiled and landed. Of course, she is human now, this form is a mere ghost. He smiled as he spoke to her. "You would know about being a coward Mother," he said with a small smile. This brought a smile to her face as well. Kiako shook her head and sighed. "You are still needed, my son. What Bard said was true." She looked around, then returned her gaze to Keith. "Come my son, let us talk until they figure out how to save you from this fate." * * * On the outside, Keith's body was lifeless. His soul had left him, and all that remained was the broken body of the former demon. Even as a human, Kailee could feel when the life left Keith. She tried to pull from Bard, wanted to go to him, but something stopped her. She cried out, holding onto Bard tightly. Her tears ran from her uncontrollably. Her hands clenched into fists and pounded on Bard's chest. Tzipporah felt the heavy sadness of the place and was grateful Andre had pulled her to him before she saw anything. She heard people crying all around her, and it brought tears of her own to her eyes. Aiasha watched as Sho did his best to ease Keith's pain, but it was no use. The demon had been too far gone. She walked over and rested her hand on the demon's forehead, saying a small prayer for him. Her eyes were closed. "He is at peace..." she spoke quietly, then got up, walking over to the water herself and sitting down. She knew Pandora was still in the camp, but being here during this kind of sadness would break Pan. Aiasha would go get her when things lightened up. |
Sayo had been watching the scene with amusement and a bit of delight as she realized that the most powerful demon here was dying. Her thoughts trailed along when she knew he would only live if someone offered him their blood. Surpressing her emotions Sayo sighed getting up and landing slightly behind Rai as the demon boy tried to heal Kieth. "That will not work any longer." Sayo said quietly. "He is to far gone for healing spells to work on him."
Ari eyed the angel with suspisions. "What do you mean? Is there no way to save him?". Ari felt the saddness settling in her chest. Rai was sobbing as she heard Keith's lie and then listened carefully as Ari and Sayo spoke. Sayo focused solely on what she needed to accomplish and frowned. "He needs blood. Strong blood, demon or angel most likely, in order to heal enough to not die.". Sayo stepped back with a shrug. "The way he is going now, he will be lucky to make it through the night." Rai panicked. Keith was going to die. It was all her fault as she was the one he had been protecting. She listened carefully to Sayo's words and her decision was quick. Grabbing Ari's dagger from her side Rai flinched a little as she sliced her arm the blood starting to drip from it as she quickly placed the cut to Keith's lips. "If my blood will help you live take it!". Rai said sobbing. "Just don't die." |
Izaradas' body felt numb as Keith's hand went limp against her. She sat there, feeling as if all life had been drain from her. There was nothing left here for her, he was gone. The one person who made her feel anything other than hate and disgust was gone. She stared blankly at the body of the demon who had stirred so much emotion inside her. Izaradas blinked, no tears could come anymore, the pain within her chest so so much. She screamed, long and loud, her pain echoing throughout the forest.
Once she let out all her pain, Izaradas collasped atop Keith's lifeless body. She was tired and empty, nothing else could sooth her. She just laid on Keith, unable to do anything else. She wasn't even stirred when Sayo spoke about saving him. She couldn't hear anything or feel anything. Bard sucked in a breath as he felt Keith's spirit fade. He allowed Kailee pound her sorrows into his chest. He had to care for her now, Keith could no longer be here for her. He didn't hush her or whispered anything else, knowing that nothing could sooth her pain. He just held her, letting her cry out her pain. Andre heard his sister's scream, her sorrow echoing in his chest. He laid his head against Tzip's. He knew that his sister had found love and suddenly lost it. He could feel her pain, and knew how it would be if he lost Tzip. His own tears spilled, dampening Tzip's hair. He hadn't cried since he was a small child, it was strange to cry for a demon who had angered him. Shojiro stood at Aiasha's voice. She was right, Keith was gone and at peace. He was wreck with pain all over again, this time it was coming off in waves from Izaradas. He looked at the woman, knowing that nothing would sooth her at this moment. He didn't touch her, knowing that she wouldn't react kindly to it. He felt numb, he had to move. He walked out of the camp, without a word to anyone. Ko had reached his limits of throwing things into the water. He saw the elven woman he had such a strong reaction to. She looked as if someone had died, he knew it was Keith. He walked over to her and sat next to her. "He's dead, isn't he?" Ko asked her, his hands clasped together, his elbows on his knees as he stared forward. *~*~*~*~* "Brother...someone has died. Someone important." Crim said as he paused. He could feel the heartache ssurrounding them. He closed his Golden eyes, his short crimson and gold hair flowing in the wind. He hugged himself, his lean body hard against his arms. They were close to where the pain was, he opened his golden eyes again and started to run in the direction of the camp. He had no idea what he would find he got to the spot he knew the pain was coming from, all he knew is he had to get there. Fyre watched as his twin reacted to the emotional pain that was feeling the forest. He had heard a sorrowful scream, it shook him to the core. He felt that kind of pain before. He closed his own pair of golden eyes against the pain. Unlike Crim, Fyre chose to block out that pain of others, not wanting to feel it. As his twin took off, Fyre cursed and followed him. The two fae twins arrived in an emcampment filled with different races. They were all circled around the body of a fallen demon. Crim saw a black winged angel slicing herself and pouring her blood into the slain demon's mouth. Crim rushed to the girl, pulling out his handkerchief from his pocket and trying to press it to her arm. "What are you doing?!" He said, upset that she would cut herself like that. |
Aiasha nodded her head, wiping the tears from her face. "Yeah, he is gone." She voice was almost silent. She looked at Ko, then rested her head on his shoulder. She needed to feel close to someone. There was so much pain here, and for once she just wanted it to fade, even if only for a moment.
Pandora sat in the hole. She had no idea where she was, or how she was going to get out. She felt the hostility leave the air, but it was soon replaced with an overwhelming sadness. She couldn't help but cry herself, and when the scream reached her, her cries turned to sobs. She wrapped her arms around herself, wondering where Aiasha had gone. She was alone, afraid, and now crying. She just wanted someone there to be with her. * * * Keith heard the scream from where he was. He covered his ears and closed his eyes. He breathed in deeply and held it. He did not think so many would have been so affected by his death. He could feel the pain of the others around him. It hit him hard. He was tormented by it. In this state, he was likely to become a ghost; he felt so much he still needed to do. He calmed down after a moment, and saw Kiako sitting on the ground. She patted the ground beside her, and he moved shakily to it. When he hit the ground, he brought his hands to his face and buried it. "See my son. They still need you. All of them, Me, and your sister..." Keith's sat up, and turned slowly to the woman. My... sister? He could not believe it. His sister was there? How? Where? He had not sensed any other demon. Well, other then Kiako and.. Then it hit him. Her eyes, her hair, even her scent. They had passed over him before, but now it was as clear as day. The demon girl looked identical to his Father. He could even picture his Father now. She was so similar. Keith's voice choked out the name. "Tzipporah..." * * * Tzipporah held onto Andre tightly, the scream from Izaradas sending a chill deep within her body. Tzipporah felt Andre's tears fall down his cheeks and come to rest against her hair. She herself cried against him, then turned to look upon the scene. Two new men had come in and were around Keith, but she barely noticed them. Her skin crawled as she shook her head. Something was not completely right. She felt something that she had not felt previously. She moved from Andre's arms and walked over to the Keith. She knelt down beside him, pushing his hair from his face. She felt like she knew him. Finally when she got close to him, she felt something coming from his. The angel Rai had tried her hand at giving Keith blood, but the man died anyways. Yet at the same time... "He is not gone..." Her voice was shaking, but it soon grew in power. "He's... not gone... I can feel him..." She looked at the man and opened his jaw. Raising his head and resting it in her lap, she then did something Andre would surely murder her for. She sunk her fangs deep into her own wrist, then lightly pressed the open wound to Keith's lips. * * * Keith's chest hurt. He held onto it. He knew this pain; it was the same searing agony that coursed through him when he was alive. His body pulsated. He collapsed to his side, gripping onto his chest. He could feel a breeze against him. He could smell again, and he could taste. The warm sensation of fresh blood filled his mouth. Kiako smiled, and rested her hand on his forehead. "Be strong, my child..." * * * A heat beat resonated throughout the forest. It was deep, and faint, but could have been heard anywhere. It was soon followed by a second one, then a third. Then, a breath. It was choked, it was quiet, but it was there. Her blood had given him life again. Keith swallowed the small sip of blood he had been given. He turned when Tzipporah pulled her wrist back. He was alive, but was going to need much more blood to survive this. Kailee heard the heart beating and turned watching as a female demon force fed the dead Keith her blood. It had worked, he was alive once more. She was crying, but now out of happiness. She wrapped her arms around Bard and hugged him. When she moved back from the hug, her body had returned to its normal state. She smiled, and rested a hand against his cheek. She was Kiako again. She was his Kiako again. |
Ari watched in almost disbelif as Rai has sliced her own arm to give Keith blood. But she was even more surprised when after Tzip gave him some of hers he lived again. "Oh thank goodness." Ari said sitting down. Keith still looked weak but he was alive. Ari looked around for Ko and noticed him with the new Elf girl and she sighed quietly getting up and walking a little ways away to relieve some of her tension.
Sayo watched quietly as the blue haired demon brought him back to life and slowly sank into the shadows to watch and observe things as Kaiko reverted back to her demon self. Rai had panicked, her blood didn't seem to be working but when Tzip used hers he was suddenly breathing again. A new boy had taken her wrist and started putting a hankercheif against her cut. "Stop what are you doing?" Rai asked her voice still pained as she saw Keith was Still so weak. "He needs blood or he won't get better!" Rai was still crying slightly as she moved back to Keith's side and extended her cut to him again. "You need more don't you?" Rai asked quietly as tears fell from her face hoping that he would be able to stay alive this time. "You can have mine. Just please don't die." The thought that this mand who had saved her would perish was something she couldn't stand to think about. |
