They Met At a Coffee Shop [DeiDeiMella & Xurxo]
OOC; This is a Private Roleplay between DeiDeiMella. This RP contains slash. ----- Caswyn Mast was excited to be finally meeting up with the model. While he only really knew the face, he was anticipating this would go well. They had some conversations on when they would meet and where. He stepped into the coffee shop that he worked at, but he was not there to work today. This was sort-of a business call. He had bright blue eyes and brown hair that waved out over his ears and the bangs came to just above his eyes. He got there early so he could grab them a table and order himself a coffee. If the other wanted anything, he would be happy to get him something when he got there. He dressed himself in a nice shit and a pair of jeans that fit his body well. He relaxed at the table and set his camera down. People around him were watching hm, curious of his activities there, and one of his coworkers even asked him what he was doing. He smiled and said it was a side job. Something else he had to do. He wondered, perhaps, if he should have brought his laptop just in case. He ended up ordering a frappuccino, vanilla - his favorite. He waited for it, though, and for the model he was meeting. The man had a lovely face, if he recalled. The job he had thought of was going to be quite interesting. He already had some thoughts on some interesting things that they could do. He hoped, too, that this wouldn't just be a business call - and perhaps could be a social call. Caswyn could always use friends. |
Javan smiled as he opened the door, taking a deep breath as he stepped inside and enjoying the scent of the small building. It was a lovely setting for what he had come here for, very relaxing and pleasant. It was also nice that he wouldn’t have to travel too far this time. Immediately he began to look for the man he’d come here to meet, and nodded when he saw the other sitting at a table alone. He walked over to the table, sitting down across from the man. He still hadn’t any idea what sort of things they would be doing, but it didn’t matter at all. Javan had always been more than happy to try new things.
“Hello. I do hope you haven’t been waiting long…” He said this though he knew that he was a few minutes early. First impressions meant little to him, but he knew that it would be best to make them good. He had even dressed himself today much less outgoing than he normally would have, wearing tight dark jeans and a simple grey jacket. His makeup was barely even noticeable, which was something he definitely something he wasn’t used to. There wasn’t a single photo of him anywhere that would show him dressed like this, so it felt a bit strange for him, but he knew that it really didn’t matter. He looked across the table at Caswyn through bright blue contact lenses, his gentle smile still held perfectly across his lips. |
Caswyn blinked up at Javan and smiled. He stumbled to stand, offering his hand to the other. He looked different to Caswyn, but still had the perfect face for what he was wanting to do. It was more of a high fashion, abstract thing. But that was Caswyn's style. "No, not long at all." He looked nervous, and perhaps his tone suggested that. He brushed some of his hair out of his eyes.
He looked around and his drink was brought out to him, and set down on the table. He looked to the barista who set it down and shook his head, he paused fro a moment in thought, and didn't want to appear rude. "Did you want something?" he said. He had the camera on the table, he could run through some frames that showed where they would be shooting, and some of the concept shots. Caswyn was the type that once he had an idea, he would pursue it until he could get that idea completed, no matter what it took to complete it. |
Javan shook his head once, answering quickly.
“No, I’m fine.” He could easily see that the other man was nervous, but he didn’t think much of it. He had once been the same way, worse even, but now he was confident in just about everything he did. Maybe working together would help this man feel more comfortable with meeting people like this. HE glanced once to the camera that sat on the table once before looking back up to Caswyn, his head tilting to the side for a moment as he spoke. “So, what sort of thing did you have in mind?” He had assumed that Caswyn had already gone through many of his photos, so it didn’t seem necessary to explain that he would be happy to try many new ideas. Javan leaned back a bit in his seat, getting himself comfortable. He wasn’t sure how long they would be there, while he was sure it wouldn’t be too long. He was looking forward to getting to work, so it was easy for him to get straight to business. |
Caswyn did have minimal confidence, that was true. And it was what would destroy him, and he knew it. He had to be able to work with celebrities (be they on the internet or on film) in the path that he wanted to follow. They were, after all, creative people as he was. There was common ground and once he got through working with a few people that were more well known than friends he had pose for him in the past, he would gain that confidence to go out and maybe land a job in the field. For now, though, it was freelance work.
He picked up his camera and loaded the film, "I have already taken pictures o the location." It was about twenty miles out of the city, and a slightly more remote area. Around were mostly trees. A few willows, slightly looking wilted due to the weather, but still very alive. And a smaller house, it was castle-like in it's structure. It was made of stone, and it looked sturdy. But it was well taken care of and hardly looked on the verge of rubble. The designer of the clothing was giving Caswyn free reign. A lot of control over it almost frightened him. "We're modeling it on the area, really. The feel." It wasn't exactly dark, though. It was more of a darkness among the light that was there. Caswyn had hoped to brighten up the clothing and makeup with the area that it was in. |
(Sorry for the delay. I didn’t expect to be so busy.))
He nodded, looking down at the camera again before staring back up at the other. He didn’t know what to say at all, barely knowing this person at all, but it was clear that he was interested in what they would do with their work together. He was always excited about this kind of thing though; it never got old to him. “Lovely. Will anyone else be joining us, or will we be on our own?” Javan could never be sure of what to expect with this. It wasn’t strange for him to show up and there be three other models already there, and sometimes that would already have been discussed. Since he hadn’t spoken much with Caswyn about what this would be entirely, he felt that it would be good to ask. He would be just as happy with either, so it was only out of curiosity that he would ask. Seeing how shy this man was, he did doubt that anyone other than the two of them would be involved. “Also, I wasn’t sure what look we were going for, so I brought makeup with me.” This was another thing he felt that he needed to say. It was rare that he would wear such a small amount of makeup, and it felt uncomfortable to him. But, he didn’t want to have to do it over again if it didn’t work with the photos, so he assumed it would be best to just wait until he was completely sure of what he was doing with it. |
"Just you and me," Caswyn said. "Well, I mean, someone there to help with make-up if you'd like. But that's up to you." He didn't know Javan personally so he wouldn't be aware of what the other needed when they were on a shoot. Caswyn found that it often worked best he fewer people that were there working with him. And Javan seemed good enough at his own work to not need the help of others to do it. Other people would cause Caswyn to get progressively more nervous.
He looked up at Javan, and smiled slightly. It was a bit of an unsure smile, though. "Really?" he asked, surprised that he had brought his own makeup. HE didn't really expect people to use their own supplies when modeling for him, but since Javan did, it made his life easier. He started to think that he probably wouldn't need any assistance. "That's great." He fidgeted for a moment before he turned off his camera. "I hope this is okay for you." And he honestly did, he didn't want to drag someone out for something that wouldn't end up working. He also hated the idea of needlessly harassing people. |
Javan nodded, happy to hear this. Though he was in a very good mood, he really didn’t want to have anyone else around. It was nice getting to know new photographers, and if this went well, he hoped to have business with this man again. It was even better to have someone so close by, so it was much easier for them to get things done. He looked up at Caswyn, pleased with how this looked so far. The location really was great, and the weather was equally nice.
“I can do my own makeup, so that really won’t be a problem. We don’t need to bring someone if you didn’t already have that planned.” He felt good about this. Javan knew that this wasn’t a very well known photographer, and that was something he liked. He hoped that this would help Caswyn gain some attention, as he did like to think that this would do something more for him than just a few more images for his collection. “So, when should we go? If there is anything else we need to work out… I can just change clothes in my car… And, should we both drive, or should we just ride together? I’m fine either way.” He was very flexible with just about everything when it came to his modeling. He loved what he did, and he enjoyed the people he met through it. While many of his fans thought that he had much more pride that he should, it was usually just an act; he had so much appreciation for everything that came along with it. |
"Nothing set in stone," Caswyn promised. He preferred to see if they were available, and ask if it was okay if he called them if they needed them. More often than not the models that he worked with, did need someone to do makeup. He was pleased that there was going to be less people around. He wouldn't get anxious, his work would be of higher quality, and he wouldn't clam up thanks to the anxiety of others being around. He often didn't know what to say to people to tell them that they had a time frame they needed to get things done. He didn't want to seem like a drill Sergeant. It was preferred like this.
"If you'd like...I can drive us both." It seemed silly to waste all that gas to him. "It's only about fifteen minutes away on the edge of town." He knew that he would take those fifteen minutes to sort himself out mentally that this had worked out so well. He wold create the images in his mind more perfectly now that he had seen Javan in more than just photos. Photos were never good to use strictly when booking someone. They could easily be altered, after all. But he was glad to find out they hadn't really gone that direction. "Thank you." He wasn't sure what for, but he felt that it was necessary. [[ NaNo = Me not checking forums XD SORRY ABOUT THAT ]] |
He nodded, agreeing to this also. It would probably be best if they went together.
“That would be great, assuming that we won’t be too long. But, I’m not busy today, so I can be around for as long as we need.” He didn’t want to make Caswyn feel like he was being rushed, and he knew that he was in no hurry at all. There was no way to know if this man had any kind of time limit, other than the time it would take for them to need an unnatural light source. With the weather the way it was, they would most likely be fine, so he didn’t think it would take much longer than any other normal job he’d done. Still, if neither of them went in his own car, he wasn’t sure about how switching outfits would work. It probably wouldn’t matter, however, and at least he knew he wasn’t shy. Javan doubted that it would be a problem. “So, unless you’d like to bring someone along, which would be no problem for me; I can easily do my own makeup. That can be brought with us.” Javan saw no need for anyone else to join them. He had put a lot of work into making himself who he was, and he didn’t always have someone to rely on to do makeup for him. He’d gone far with this since he was sixteen. |
