Artimes walked threw her forest slowly, a frown slightly bestowing her lips as she did. wearing her usual hunting garb she shook her head. "Fewer and fewer prayers a day..." she whhispered to herself as she looked at the small pack of wolves smiling ever so softly at the romping pups. slowly walking away and then spotted her nymphs looking at her with worry. "we shall not hunt today... I wish to think..." she said softly and then walked away leaving them stunned and shocked. As her hair dissappeared from view her most trusted nymph looked at the others sadly. "You all understand.... She's loosing power... though she's too proud to admit it... Our Queen is dying..." she whispered and the others shd silent tears of dispare. Artimes walked on as she touched flowers and trees making them more fertile and bloom beautifully. "I pray you thrive without me.. My beautiful forest..." she whispered ever so softly as the wind blew her hair gently.

Balthazar walked through a small town, fully cloaked to hide his swords and battle gear, incase a guard saw him and thought he was there to cause trouble. Balthazar was on a mission, all he wanted to do was destroy olympus and he didn't care if anyone got in his way he would just destroy them. He passed through a small market and he grabbed a few pieces of bread and some meat, avoiding the shopkeepers looks so they wouldnt notice as he walked by and through the market. Eventually when he reached the outskirts of the town he made his way out and walked onto the edge of the near by forest and started a fire sitting down and resting.

Artimes walked but then suddenly stopped as the smell of fire reached her nose. She pulled out her bow and ran not wanting to let the damned person responsible to get away. She drew her string back and shot, hitting the man in the shoulder with on of her moonlight arrows that glowed. Transforming into her favorite human form, a brunette with sea foam green eyes and pale skin she emerged from the forest slowly her bow ready as she approached the man slowly. "What is the meaning of this? You should not make a fire so close to the forest." she said her voice strong as she looked the cloaked man over.

Balthazar sat pulling pieces off the bread and eating them, he was staring into the fire when the arrow struck his shoulder. He winced and kept his head down knowing that if they were bandits him moving would make him more of a target. When he heard the voice of a lady he shook his head and continued to eat, "It is a fire nothing more, and the forest would always grow back.. there is nothing that this fire would not do that nature does not do itself." he said automatically checking his crude swords as he brushed his waist to wipe off some crumbs, "Now your bow will do you little good this close.. and your arrow is still in my shoulder." he said still looking at the fire so that the hood still covered his face and the cloak his features.

Artimes growled and her anger flared. How dare this human! Stalking over angerily she grabbed her arrow and wrenched it from his shoulder and then pulled down his hood. "Maybe you should hold your tongue... You're talking to someone who cares for this forest." she snapped angerily her fists shaking wanting to pounch him. She mesmerized his face so she could find him whenever she wanted. She wanted to beat his face in at the moment.

Balthazar grimaced when she wretched the arrow from his shoulder and then he closed his eyes when she pulled down his hood, "You know its not nice to touch some one when they have not allowed it." he said as he stood and faced her keeping his eyes closed, "Now.. i do not care if you love this forest or not... im just here to spend the night before i move on." he said reaching up and pulling his hood back on shading his face almost completely again besides his mouth.

Artimis growled and then shook her head. "You didn't even pray to the goddessof the forest." she said and looked behind her as a nymph walked forward, her most trusted one. "Artimis.... Don't mess with the stupid human." she said and then took Artmis's arm. "He should pay for trespassing and being so arrogant." she snapped but she shook off her arm. "he deserves to know who he's messing with and pay for what he's done." she snapped angerily.

Balthazar 's eyes widened slightly and then he glared hearing who she was, with out a hesitation he stroad towards her brushing aside part of his cloak to expose one of his swords as he reached down putting his hand on the hilt and wanting to cut Atrimis down. He looked at the nymph and changed direction slightly headed for the nymph to damage the goddess, for his vengeance.

Artimis watched as the human stood and seeing him go for her nymph she grabbed her friend. Pushing her away she drew her own swords made of moonlight from the air and with a sweeping motion she brought his legs out from under him. "You stupid incompitent human. You dare try and attack me?!" she demanded and then calmed though her eyes were still burning with anger. "I will teach you to learn how the world works... You dog." she said and began chanting in an anchient langauge winding her magic around him to change him into a wolf.

Balthazar fell hard to the ground and quickly he started to stand up and look at her felling the air around him changing he glared his eyes burning with fire and anger against the gods, "I will not bow... i will not let you work your magic!... I have been to the fates and back, i have challenged and killed demigods and a god like you holds nothing over me!" he said pulling out his swords and slicing at the magical barrier with them and still walking towards her trying to keep his cloak on his shoulders so his armor was not visible so its points of weakness were not visible to the goddess.

Artimis growled angerily as he stood and then sliced threw her magic. She then pressed he magic down upon him more making the wind cry out and surround him. "You do not understand what the gods plan. Nor do you understand life. I will teach you... And if you do not see as a wolf or man I will slay you..." she said her voice enchanting as his features began to morf into that of a wolfs. Artimis shook her head as she heard her brother's warming inside her head. But she ignored him. She would have at least one human understand... Before she died. And this man had just enough bravery stupidity and honor.

Balthazar smiled feeling as if he had cut his way through then felt the new level of power and he fell to his knees making him grimice, "No matter what comes of this i will end this tyrannic reign you gods hold over us..." he said glaring and then painfully falling all the way to the ground and finally it ceased and he lay there on his side painfully breathing. He didnt know what had happened to him and he didnt really care all he knew is that, h had been through many battes and had suffered many injuries but none like this.

Artimis watched andthen sat next to him as he finally took shape as a wolf. Gently taking off his armor and belongings she gav them to er nymphto keep safe for now. She then beganto stroke his head knowing he would be a bit dazed. "I have transformed you into a wolf... And you have to remain close to me by a certain distance and you cannot hurt me by any physical means..." she said smoothly and then stood waiting dor the information to slowly sink into his brain.

Balthazar listened and felt her hand immediately snapping at it and then stopping for some reason he couldn't bite down, his jaw just seemed to lock up making him not be able to close it. He looked at her and closed his eyes again his breathing still heavy as he twitched his legs. He eventually opened his eyes again and looked at Artimis with daggers in his glare, till he brought his feet under him and stood up growling at Artimis.

Artimis shook her head as the man tried biting her hand and then sighed. "You don't listen very well do you?" she said and then returned her bow to her back s she stoo. "And I and my nymphs are the only ones who can understand you so get used to your body quickly, we have a long day of trecking ahead of us." she said and then braided her hair quickly and skillfully ad she took on her reall and true goddess form. "Theres a reasons there are gods.... It's a balance everyone and everything services on." she said smoothly.

Balthazar still growled and then he turned away from Atrimis, "the gods have no reason but to torture humans." he said growling and then sat down, "you cursed me.. i will once im out of this body will kill you.. just so you know... " he said as he looked at her and growled again, "the Balance is not right and should not exist." he siad and then walked over to her sniffing, he didnt know what he should do and he believed that the gods should all die for their indifference to his sisters death.

Artimis looked at te wolf and then sighed. "Thats if you have the chance to kill me first. Your bretheren are doing a good job of it already." she said smoothly as if it was nothing. "Now come along... I am not a god of men... Only of childbirth... That's the only way I am related to you humans.... Though if I was angry enough I could bring great desease." she said as she trotted threw the forest. The animals criously coming out to litterally bow to her or run along side her happily before returning to their families. She seemed at peace as slowly a smile came to her face as she got farther ingots woods.

Balthazar glared and he growled again, "I dont care about that i want all the gods dead they have betrayed humanity!" he said looking at all the creatures as food, though he was surprisingly tired especially with the sun going down quickly. "Why do you think you gods are above us humans.. you live only because we let you live." he said looking at a bunny making him want to attack it and eat it. He ran towards the rabbit baring his teeth wanting to eat it.

Artimis shook her head and then with a swift movemet she scooped up the rabbit. "You are being stupid human. We made you, as we made all creatures. And we can take your life away." she said and then knelt. "You do not understand. We do not wish to harm anyone but there is a time for everyone.... Though we can save and help as well as humans can as well. Take me holding this rabbit. Look at her." she said softly revealing the rabbit pressig against her hands in fear of the look of the wolf. "The poor thing is carrying the next generation of her family... If I had let you kill her, and kept letting you kill more rabbits like her... There would be no more left. The bulging rabbit shook more and Artimis gently kissed it's head soothing it. "If I were to let my bretheren kill all those women I protect during they're pregnancies then the same would happen to your race... You would die." she said and then set the rabbit down softly. "We were all created for good.. But even the gods slip up now and again.... Even we get wrapped up in our own hate and kill the ones we really loved." she whispered softly and closed her eyes remembering the hunter she had shot swimming in the water... Having been tricked by her own brother that he was a fish... The only man that had been her close friend. But he was in the stars now. "Butthe balance will right itself like it always does..." she said and opened her eyes and gently reached out to him slowly. "Why do you harbor such hate?" she asked softly looking at him with her glowing blue green eyes.

Balthazar looked at Artimis and he bared his teeth at the rabbit before he looked at Artimis again and he barked trying to bite the air in front of her. "You have no reason to be... here or have anything against me... i have everything against you and your kind!" he said as he bit the air infront of her and growled. "You gods do not care for us humans at all.. you kill with out discrepancy and you destroy our lives!" he said and turned around, "I will be leaving i dont care if i die or not." he said and started to walk away slowly.

Artimis stood and then looked at him softly her brother revealing to he threw their mind bond the reason this man was so angry. "Your sister.... I'm sorry.... I'm the protectoress of women. But I do not ever remember her being in danger... I would have known." she said softly and knew he had to stop because of the invisible magic rope binding him close to her. "I must not have been here... Tell me... When did she die?" she asked softly her voice holdin true saddness and regret.

Balthazar reached the end of the almost invisible leash and couldnt go any further, "I cant believe im stuck here!" he said growling, and sat down as far away as he could. "You didnt do anything as she suffered and died, instead you werent there.... as the gods killed her!" he growled and looked at her sighing and shaking his head, "She died years ago and all you gods will die for her death is on your hands." he said growling and trying to figure out a way to change back into a human and attack Artimis.

Artimis looked at him and shook her head. "Aproximate year. If she was murdered there has to be a sepcific reason why I wasn't there to save her." she said sternly and then suddenly her sight snapped far away where he could not see she gasped. "Come on! There is a girl in need!" she said af drew her now amd took aim. Letting the arrow fly she took off her magic forcing Jim to move faster as she ran at a blurring speed her magic keeping him next to her.
