val was copnfused, she did seem to have a look of utter horror on her face but why?
val stepped forward virtualy proud 'Im val.' he was almost glareing at him 'and who might you be?'

Bert raised an eyebrow and smirked, amused with the boy. "I'm sweet Jessica's uncle. Are you a friend of Jessica's?" He questioned.

Jessica didn't say anything. She looked away not wanting to look at him.

'uh-' val mutterd 'Yeah, You could say that' he said stepping forward again, 'She doesent seem to like you very much? huh?' he said smileing slightly 'why dont you get lost?' he said, and as soon as he did he knew it was a mistake,

Bert's smile faded and he frowned angrily at the boy. Who was he to say this to him?! "Jessica loves me! Because I'm her uncle! Why don't you beat it kid!" He screamed.

Jessica began to shake lightly. She took a step forward. "S-Stop it." She told them.

Bert looked over at Jessica angrily. "Shut up and make the damn food!"

Jessica nodded and turned away. She checked on the food, shaking. She wanted him to go way. Wished he'd go away.

Bert stepped towards Val.

val breathed in heavily 'you shouldent treat people like that' he said an angry tone in his voice 'especialy your sweet jessica' he stepped back, He dident want to be too close to this man, He looked unstable, He looked over at jessica, she was shakeing 'Jessical stop' he said to her and walked over, grabbing a'hold of her wrist

Jessica flinched, for a moment she thought Val was him. Was her uncle. She was glad to see that it wasn't. She looked at Val, her eyes pleading. Why wouldn't her uncle leave?

Bert grew furious with the boy. He gritted his teeth and stalked over. He grabbed the boys arm and yanked him away, "Don't you dare lay a hand on my Jessica!" He yelled angrily.

Jessica could feel her eyes watering. This man... No this monster scared her.

'urk' val shot back and fell to the floor, his arm held up by the man, He stood up quickly and tryed to turn the the man held his arm tightly and it hurt too mcuh 'You idiot!' he shouted 'Your gonna break my arm or something let go!' he dident want to anger the man anymore but it hurt like hell

Bert let go but shoved the boy instead.

Jessica took a chance and reached out, grabbing her uncles arm lightly. "Please st-" Her words were cut off because Bert slapped her. She fell to the floor, tears falling from her eyes.

Bert blinked and rolled his eyes seeing Jessica on the floor crying. "Get up." He ordered.

Jessica didn't get up.

"Get up!" Bert yelled.

val darted infrom of the man and crouched down slightly blocking him from jessica 'Leave her alone' he shouted at him holding his arms out to the side

Bert looked at the boy and then smirked. He turned and walked to the table. "I'm hungry." He said simply and sat down.

Jessica was shaking, a hand on her cheek. She slowly began to sit up. She wiped at her tears softly.

val was shocked, he just left them?! he looked around, he was just casualy sat eating, val grouwled but ignored him, Instead he turned and virtualy picked jessical up, standing her on her feet and wipeing the rest of the tears of her face with the back of his fingers 'Are you okay' he said simply, keeping an eye on the man

Bert ate, letting them have a moment or whatever. He didn't like the boy but he shrugged it off.

Jessica nodded. "Yes." She sniffled.

"Come eat!" Bert ordered them.

Jessica began to go towards him. She did as he asked when he asked.

val dident move, But he silently grabbed her handn and pulled her back, he sarted to walk away almost dragging her behind him, he walked around the side of the housr, His face still angry.

Jessica blinked surprised. She tripped over her own feets trying to keep up with him. She didn't say anything. Was just too surprised.

Bert turned his head and blinkd. They were gone. "Jessica!" He screamed angrily.

val tilted his head down and walked faster, around the front of her house, and sped up more, He was almost running, He ran around the trees at the other side of the house and darted in and out of them, It was almost like a forset here, He knew where he was going though and he got out of the other side just at the edge of town, he ran into the town and ran to his home. It was only small but he was sure the guy whouldent know where they had gone.

Jessica looked back, scared. She stumbled behind Val. She wanted to ask where he was taking her but she didn't want to speak afraid that her uncle would hear her and follow them. She just stumbled behind quietly.

Bert growled and searched.

Val quickly opend the door and flung himself inside still holding on her her hand,
He closed the door and locked it behind them, Letting go of her hand he turned on the light and opend a few of the doors,
'Make yourself at home, for now' he mutterd taking off his shoes.

Jessica bit her lip and looked around. She took off her sandals and looked around. She began to look at all his stuff.

'want a drink or something?' val called to her from the kitchen pulling out two glasses off the shelf,
Waiting for the answer he walked into his bedroom, neatening his bed he pulled out a new shirt and put it on,
he walked back out, and back into the kitchen

Jessica picked up a picture and stared at it. She shrugged and looked over towards the kitchen. "Whatever is fine!"

'kay' val said hopping and pulling one sock off, Then the other, he poured out some pure apple juice into two glasses and took one two her, he sipped his as he spread out his arm to give her the drink. 'here' he said after drinking some

Jessica put the picture down and took the cup. "Thanks!" She took a sip happily and looked around, trying to forget about her uncle.

'yeah..' he mutterd picking up the picture, Jus a picture of him when he was littel 'Whats this doing out?' he said and walked into his room and put it face down on his desk 'I was a creapy kid' he said turning and finding jessica stood in his bedroom- doorway

Jessica raised an eyebrow and followed him. She laughed lightly and shook her head. "ummmm.... I hate to ask but can I take a shower?"

val looked at her 'Sure' he said and then rememberd his bathroom was a tip' 'H-Hold on a second' he said dashing into the bathroom and shoveing stuff into the spare room inside there
