val laughed,
the man let them through, and val stood at the back looking around, He had no interest in this sort of thing so he rooted through his pockets and pulled out his phone, It was quite a nice phone. he looked at it closely and turned it over, then it rang 'Uh' val said and answerd it,
'Hello?' he said and the man told him to get out while he was n the phone, He did, and said agian 'Hello?' he could hear the voice on the other side 'What? who?' he said to them 'what...?'

Jessica skipped in happily and sat in the back. She was tall enough to see past the kids. The show had already started but that was okay. She heard a phone and turned around. She watched Val confused. She looked back at the puppets and then back at Val. She watched him walk out and bit her lip. She looked back at the puppets. Heaving a big sigh she stood up and walked out. She stood back, letting Val talk on the phone. Who was he talking to? What was going on?

'uhh yeah?' he said and he put his finger to his lip 'yeah, right...' he said to the person and turned around a bit 'that doesent matter does it?' he turned to jessica and looked at her then turned back
'it doesent matter. I dont care about that anymore.' he put the phone down and breathed in, Then walked over to her 'Why arnt you waching that?'

Jessica watched him worriedly. She waited and waiting. Sometimes messing with her t-shirt. Something fixing hers shorts. Maybe messing with her two ponytails. Finally he hung up and came over. She didn't answer his question but asked a question. "What's wrong?" She asked.

'uhh- oh its nothing to worry about' he said with a fake smile, 'It doesent matter anyway... Want to get something to eat?'

Jessica frowned. "I'm not hungry. I had a bunch of sweets. What happened? Who was that?" She asked again. She was determined on knowing. She wanted to know because she wanted to help. Could she help?

'i said its nothing,' he said looking away

Jessica stuck out her lower lip in a pout. "I want to help Val." She told him seriously. She wasn't going to let this go.

he faced the same way and ignored her, he walked away to the cafe, He dident know if she whpould follow but he dident think she could help anyway. He sat down at the table by the window and put his head on it.

Jessica grunted and followed. She put the basket on the floor and took the other seat. She tapped his head twice ligthly. "You'll never know if I can help you if you don't tell me." She insisted.

'mff' he said because he couldent speek with the tbale in the way, he sniffed and lifted his head. 'It doesent matter.' he said shakeing his head

Jessice groaned. "Tell me." She demanded, wanting to know.

'i cant' he said, quietly and looked at the menu. he dident want to talk about it, but he knew she whould persist

Jessica was becoming angry. She pouted and crossed her arms, sitting back. She stared at him.

he put down the manu, 'Look, its nothing interesting. I dont think you whould even care about it...' he looked at her for a moment, then looked away, The glanced back, She was still stareing at him.
'Okay, Okay, fine.' he sat back in his chair 'Well, When i was like 11, I went out with this girl on a date.' he sat forward 'She aparetly realy liked me so i said yes, I dident like HER but i dident want to upset her. After a few days i dumpted her because she was way to clingy and stuff, So now she has found out my number and threatens me. Thats it. Nothing interesting.'

Jessica blinked, glad that he finally told her. She frowned. "Do you tell her that you don't want to go out with her? If you have and that didn't work.... then how about making up a fake girlfriend? Or maybe you could just like.... avoid her?........ That's all I got,...." She hadn't said much, but what she babbled had it's few good points.

'yeah i knw' he said slaping his hand to his face 'But she has tryed this before...' he looked down at the menu 'and now she even knows where i live. I know know how she got it but she knows... Shes comeing all the way over here...' he sighed 'This is stupid...'

Jessica though, her nose scrunching up in a cute manner while she thought. "Okay. So you can't avoid her... And it doesn't work to tell her that you don't like her.... What else is there to do?" She pondered aloud.

'im not sure. I guess i could run away? I could live somewhere else for a bit... Maybe a hotel?' he said and looked into his pockets for some money, He only had enough for some food. so he put it back
'I dont think that whould work... Do you have any other ideas?'

Jessica looked at him and frowned. She didn't think it would work and then it turned out to be true. She shrugged. "Get a girlfriend. Ask someone to pretend to be your girlfriend. Or you could stay at my house while my mother is on a work trip."

'mm, That might be good...' he said and picked something out of his pocket, It was a small notepad, He wrote something inside and then put it back
'yeah, I think that whould work... as for the 'girlfriend'... I spost it whould be easyer if you where it, right?' he said flatly

Jessica nodded with a smile. She'd make arrangements in her apartment for him. That wouldn't be too hard. He could use her toom while she used her moms. She blinked and nodded softly, a small blush flooding her cheeks. "I suppose. It won't be too hard right?..... What does a girlfriend do?" She'd never had a boyfriend before except when she was 5 with Michael Panger.

'uhhrr' he said not sure himself 'I think they are just there' he said scratching his head 'Other than that im not sure myself...'
he looked at his phone, and turned it off, just as the girl rang, It rang once then went dead.
'Well, Im sure you can work it out... Your a girl after all,' he said pushing his phone back into his pocket

Just there.... Jessica listened to him and nodded. He was right. She was a girl, she'd figure out how to be a girlfriend. She'd look online. Or she'd ask someone... She frowned remembering that his phone had rang. "Do we have to like... Invite her to my apartment?" She asked curiously, leaning forward and leaning her cheek in her palm.

'Nope, Im sure she will find me somehow, She always was a bit weird like that...'
He pulled out the notepad and drew a little cake in it and put it down onto the table,
'You want something small to eat?' he said, almost knowing she whould say no, because she had just given them some food, But it was always nice to ask.
