Name: Tauna Taylor

Age: 16 (According to papers)

Species: Angel

Grade: She’s not in school anymore. Too busy with other things.

Bio: Tauna was raised in one of the roughest orphanages in town. It was the only place she remembered since young childhood. Anything before then, nothing… She wasn’t even sure of her parents either.
Being told she was abandoned by them her whole life by the head master as far as she could remember, Tauna believed it, but wanted to know why. She’d have to find them first...
Tauna appeared human most of her life, but that will soon change. She had a secret no one knew about. Not even her.

Name: Silvester Rosenfeld
Age: 19
Race: Faerie
Bio: Overly flamboyant at times and excellent at acting, Silvester is close to heading off to his dream of becoming a world class ballet dancer. Although he was started off a bit later than his peers way back when he was a child, he is extremely bright and had no difficulty catching up with everyone else. He is now in his senior year of high school, and is anxiously looking forward to graduation day.

His only hangup is that every now and then, there are minor incidents for which frustrates him that he can't explain what happened. An object close beside him may begin to float, or he may start to emit a slight glow if particularly happy. Him and his parents try their best to cover it up, but over the years its gotten stronger as his hidden powers are starting to develop.

"Yes I'm coming!" A young girl was running down the hall trying not to trip over children as she passed them as they were tidying up the place. It was a somewhat gloomy but warm day out as she passed by windows with an armload of sheets. A few of them had become unfolded and were dragging on the ground in front of her and yet she kept running as if in a hurry.

"You're late! What a troublesome girl you are! Have you no care how long I've been waiting for those? My god you're hopeless. Leave the sheets there and leave the area at once!"

"I-I'm so sorry sir. They'd just finished drying and were troublesome to fold. Then to run with no vision-"

"I said leave! I don't care about such things as long as I get what I want! I don't care how troublesome they may be or why you delay!"

The girl had an almost frightened look on her face but she held it back as she bowed and left the area as the hallway became quiet. Her next job had to be done and it had started to rain. She didn't care and went outside to do her things anyway. The other children just looked at her as she walked down the hall with saddened looks on their faces, but there was nothing they could do... The girl now stood outside by the front door and headed for the garden to pull weeds.

Silvester shut the door quickly behind him against the rain that threatened to soak the welcome mat, using his other hand to clutch tight to his chest where he hid a stack of mail under his coat. He shook his damp hair out of his eyes as he headed to set the stack on the coffee table, shrugging off his coat as he walked and calling out for his mother. She was one of those people that always looked forward to when the mail came, as if there was the ever present possibility of something awesome to arrive.

He heard the faint tone of her voice answer from the upstairs bathroom, so he shrugged and went through the stack first. The usual coupons, bills, and credit card offers made up most the stack, along with his mother's gossip magazines and father's hunting catalog. It had been years and years since his father had even touched a gun, but was too lazy to cancel the subscription. Said it gave him something interesting to read.

But, at the bottom of the stack, there was something Silvester did not expect. A letter addressed personally to him from the local theater. His heart suddenly went into flutters, and without a second thought he ripped open the envelope to read the letter inside. His mother came downstairs just then, watching him curiously as she stepped into the living room. He paid her no mind for the moment, his eyes fixed on the letter as he read.

It was an offer to perform for an orphanage, a childrens play to help raise their spirits. The event would even be covered on the local radio stations and newspapers. He couldn't even believe it at first. Such an important event, and these people wanted him for it? He turned suddenly to his mother with a wide grin, causing her to jump a little, and held out the letter eagerly to her. She took it cautiously, reading through it once, then looked back up at him with a smile and stepped forward one more pace to hug him.

As Tauna was continuing with her work on the garden, the mail arrived. Usually when it did it was sent straight upstairs to the headmaster's office by them, but since the mail carrier today was a different one, she'd have to do it herself as no other was permitted inside.
Tauna welcomed the carrier cheerfully despite the horrible and yet pretty used to angry morning. The carrier said there was some unusual mail and Tauna asked why. Seems there was a letter from a theater or something. Tauna thanked the guy with a puzzled look then took the mail upstairs. "Um... Excuse me sir..."

"What do you want now? Aren't you supposed to be doing your chores?!"

"Uh. Y-y-yes sir. I've just come to deliver the mail. Shall I set it at the door or would you rather I hand it directly to you?"

"The mail huh? Bring it here!" He wanted to know if there was something for him and wasn't impressed at what he saw. "What is this!?" He held up the letter from the theater. "I never approved of this!"

"Uh... I don't know sir. Looks like something important though. The return address is the main office's."

"Hmm... Those..." He wanted to swear but didn't. "What nerve they have! I will not accept this!"

Tauna was silent.

"You may go now. I have to deal with this mistake they made!"

Tauna bowed and left the room, scared again as she made her way back to the garden.

A few minutes passed and a slamming of the door and more noise as books were thrown could be heard. Seemed the headmaster had made his call and was furious at the response. He'd just have to endure it. There was nothing that could be done to stop it.

The very next morning, at almost 7 'o clock on the dot, Silvester woke unusually early to get cleaned up to pay a visit to the orphanage. Saturday's normally were his chance to sleep in, but he was too excited to do anything of the sort. He even woke up a half hour before he had set the alarm to go off, causing his mother to peek out of her room in concern. He took the time to assure her he hadn't gone mental, then continued to fix his hair.

An hour later he was ready to go, ignoring his mother's offer to drive him to the orphanage. He had a bike that would do just fine, though he hadn't rode it in weeks. He knew for sure he would be more than a bit stiff when he got back home, but he didn't care. He was eager to see what this orphanage was like, and maybe get to know a few of the kids beforehand.

Quite a while later, Silvester finally made it to the orphanage and simply hung limp over the handlebars for a moment. He couldn't believe how hard that had turned out to be. It was only a bike. Finally, he sat up and stumbled off the bike, knees and arms stiff as ever. It would be a miracle just to get back home later.

Tauna had woken up bright and early like she did each morning to prepare breakfast for the youngest children. The older ones would do theirs themselves not to be a burden. Tauna never thought of any of them being a burden however. It was her only family after all. She wanted to make sure they were all okay, being the oldest and the responsible one.
The headmaster was lounging around in his own room till whenever he felt like leaving it. "BRAT-GIRL! WHERE'S MY BREAKFAST?"
Tauna signed and made sure everyone was okay. The older children said they'd handle the rest while she tended to the headmaster. She thanked them.
A few minutes later after climbing what seemed like a hundred stairs, she reached the bedroom, tray balanced on arm, as she knocked. There no response so she figured it was allowed since she had the tray. "Your breakfast sir..."

"IT'S ABOUT TIME! BRING IT HERE AND GO DO YOUR CHORES!"
"Yes sir." She bowed after delivering the tray and went back down the stairs. The garden didn't needed to be tended to, but the windows needed washing. She grabbed the ladder after making sure the children were still okay. They were thankfully with no fights.
Tauna took the ladder outside as well as a pail of water and a rag and without noticing anything at all, she climbed up to the top of it and started on the windows.

Silvester stopped just before reaching the front door as he saw a girl come around the side of the building with a ladder in hand. He glanced at the front door again, brow furrowed as he thought, then shrugged and turned off the front path to go help the girl instead. That was his goal for this visit anyhow, to get to know the people of the orphanage. What better way than to start off by helping one of the employees?

"Hey there," Silvester greeted the girl with a bright smile. "Need any help with that ladder?"

"Huh?" Tauna thought she heard something and at first shrugged it off then looked down from her height. She saw a figure standing there "Hang on. I'll be right down." It was windy up there and she couldn't hear anything. So almost slipping, she made her way down the ladder to the ground. She dusted herself off before looking at the guy. She didn't know what to say except what was formal. "Hello. Are you the one from the ad? I'm afraid the headmaster of this place is quite strict an annoyed about it after he received yesterday, but there's nothing he can do. Please be aware of that and I apologize for any rudeness." She figured she'd apologize now than have him storm out there of anger for the guy's actions. If he was that kind of guy that was. "I'm Tauna by the way. A hard labouring orphan at this place. Nice to meet you."

"Silvester," he greeted back with a warm smile. "And thanks for the heads up. I'm sure your headmaster will enjoy the play. We are the best of any school in the state."

He looked up once more at the ladder, then asked, "So...why are you out here working all alone? If there's no one to help you, I've got time. I just came around for a casual visit before the big day."

"You see... I'm the oldest one here and capable of doing all the hard work as it's a bit too dangerous for the young ones. I'm pretty much the mother of everyone here in a way, too... I care for them when the headmaster doesn't, what he calls "busy" when really he's just lazy. They'll do what they can however just to help out. We all work together here. Though..." She answered the last question first since it was more logical and a habit. She wasn't about the finish the last sentence, though. "Speaking of him... He may like it or he may not. Don't get offended though if he thinks some parts are bad through his eyes. He doesn't really have a sense of humour or a sense of fun for that matter." She shrugged it off before continuing. "Are you sure you want to help out? It would be against the policy and plus you could get a bit messy..."
