"Huh what?" He paused. "Ummm well...Then mean ...Well I do want to get home I miss my family. But I do kind of like speanding time with you.... if I try to go back quickly I'm not so sure when we could see each other again. I know you said you would vist but I won't know if you were there or not because it is 15min bike ride there. I mean... I guess we could come up for a signal when your there but I like seeing you everyday."

"...If the designated place is not usually crowded with humans...I could consider living there," Léan reminded him, tail flicking back and forth slightly. His tail usually moved as such when he was really nervous, or unsure of himself.
He had traveled in fresh water before to reach other oceans, or salt water lakes. But he had never tried to live in an area of fresh water before. |
"Well there is a nice area its send to have underwater caves in it. But above it its really romantic on the land with all of the plantes and flowers growing. So Its a fairly quite area expect at night when a few couples may be there. But I doubt they would bug you because I don't think its the lriver/pond they will be looking at." He laughed then watch Lean tail a little. "Your tail moving a lot."

Léan shifted a little. "...Well...I suppose I could try," he offered, slowly. "I've never lived in a fresh-water environment before. We will have to see how it goes." He still felt very bad about keeping Adam anywhere away from his family, obviously a loving one, for an extended period of time.

It took he a little to nod to what Lean had said. "I guess that could work out. Those your sure you will be safe in fresh water like with breathing and stuff. I mean I just want to make sure if you do that you'll be comfortble if your not you would tell me right?" He lightly touch/ held Lean hand. "I know I selfishly want to be near you but I don't want you to put your self in a place you could not live in."

"I can live in fresh water. I don't have to be in salt water," Léan assured him, almost tugging his hand away out of instinct. He didn't like being touched most of the time...it was something he was going to have to be eased back into again, as time went on. "We need to work on getting you better..." He finished up with his third fish at this point.

Adam tried to to act hurt when he felt Lean hand pull away. Maybe he was rushing things he thought. Adam took his thrid fish after finshing his second and started to eat it with both hands. "yeah... but you need to get better first ok."

Léan noticed that Adam seemed a little hurt by his movement, and he lowered his head. "...I'm not used to being touched," he murmured, hoping that would help ease his sadness. "I said I'm fine...just feeling a little bit off. Swimming, for me, is like walking...I'm fine."

Adam just nodded and fished off his food. "But when your under the weather you should rest. I'll do fine on my own to day just just relax ok." Adam got up and moved over to the sled. "I should be fine if I stay in the shallow end with the sled."

Léan scowled, but laid back down, settling himself slightly. "I don't like having you out there alone," he said, shortly. "I won't be able to reach you in time if something happens." He sounded serious.

"I'll be fine I mean I'm going be out there alone when you leave me because you won't get close to the shore. So I need to learn, plus I won't go any deeper then my legs ok?" He looked over to Lean. "You need to rest and sleep if your better by tomorrow you can help me in the deeper waters ok?"

Léan sighed, curling his tail up around him. "Fine...but if you need help, scream for me...I'll try to reach you in time..." He buried his face in his tail, using it as a pillow. He seemed to be drifting off already...

Adam smiled as he watched Lean difting off to sleep. That what he need was to rest so Adam left the house with the sled and tied a loose bow on the door to keep it shut but it would easily be push open in a rush. Adam then took the sled down to the water edge and step in to the cold water with him. He walk in about knee high and laid on the sled and started to kick around in the shallows making sure not to go any deeper.

Léan fell asleep even before Adam had made it out of the door. He drifted in and out of deep and light sleep, his dreams erratic and forever-changing. He seemed to feel really tired...but unable to stay deeply asleep for too long. It was a sign of a non-serious illness...possibly akin to a head cold for humans.

Adam stay out in the water for a while but seem got tirer on his own. He took the sled and held back in to the house and tied the door close tighter. He removed swiming shorts and changed in to his leaf ones then laid back in to bed after hanging them up to dry. Adam looked over to Lean hoping he would be alright soon.

Léan had just shifted into a deeper sort of sleep, and his eyelids were twitching slightly. He looked quite relaxed, using his tail for a pillow. When he was sleeping, he had a peaceful expression on his face...unlike how he usually looked. He was usually always on alert, with his guard up...paranoid, and a bit sulky. Not when he was sleeping... |
How Lean was looking right now made his heart race. He looks so peaceful which made Adam happily and also smiled. Adam stuffed the fuff in to his ears because he didn't want to go over if the singing starting and risk waking Lean up. Adam rested in his bed before he left asleep.

Léan did start singing during the night, a few hours into their sleep. It was very soft, and followed a mystical sort of tune...mysterious. He must have been having a frustrating sort of dream...possibly chasing something he just couldn't catch.

Adam slept without hearing the sound because it was so soft it did not get past the fuff in his ears. Adam dreamed peaceful during the night and dreamt about his family and friends.

Léan was having a dream about his brother. His identical twin was his best friend...and he rarely got to see him. He lived up in the Bering Sea.

Adam had got up in the middle of the night and saw Lean looked like he was havinga bad dream. Adam toss a few more logs on the fire then moved over to Lean and gentley rubbed his back.

Léan jolted out of sleep, in a slight panic, and sat up quickly. It took him a few seconds to calm down--when he did, he sighed, softly, and sank back down into the water. "...Urgh..."

"Sorry... I didn't mean to wake you" he took the fuff from his ears. He even had jumped back a little. "You just looked like you were having a bad dream or some thing. So i want to try to comfort you like my mom used to when I was little. I'm sorry."

"I'm all right..." Léan murmured, softly. "I had a nightmare about losing my brother, is all. Nothing more..." His brother was really the only person he cared about anymore, besides Adam now...

"Oh I see." Adam paused trying to think for a little. "Is there a way to talk to him from here? I know on land we have mail and phones and computer for talking over longs distences. Do your people any any thing like that?"
