"That you again." Adam took the meat of the crab and cover it in his towel until he was ready to cook it. He took a little bit of the meat place it on his a stick to warm it up. He didn't mind it cold but this would taste so much better. He slowly as the crab this way guarding it more because of Léan's words. "Will they stay away from the fire if I make more of it?" He asked.

Mira-Charma13 11-08-2010 04:56 AM

"Perhaps...perhaps not." Léan was laying out in the shallows, his tail flicking back and forth. His scales sparkled in the light, giving him this beautiful shine. He was quite attractive...it was a mystery why he had no one with him, and had no mate of any kind...

Ribe 11-08-2010 05:01 AM

He finshed off the crab meat quickly so that if the birds did come back for it. There would be nothing for them to eat. Adam had been so fouse on guarding his food he did not look at Léan until now. His eyes roamed over the merperson body and over his tail. He had never seen any one so attractive before but then again he was a merperson. Adam thought maybe all merpeople were this attractive. "Léan?" He softly spoke his new friend name.

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 02:06 AM

"Yes?"

Léan sounded a bit startled. He'd been daydreaming the entire time Adam ate, and wasn't expecting his voice. He blinked, tail swishing back and forth curiously. He didn't seem to realize that he was being heavily scrutinized...if he did, the staring didn't bother him in the least.

Ribe 11-09-2010 03:43 AM

Adam just shook his head. "Oh never mind... it was silly." How was he going ask about that, he couldn't. So he just was going to pretend he never asked any thing to begin with. Adam set his towel out close but not to close to the fire then but rocks on the corners so it would not blow away. Then he got a lot of wood and set up four other fire pits in a square patter then light a piece of wood and set the four on fire.

He space them out so he would have lots of room to move and to scare off other animal from coming near. The first one as at the center of this square which warm the hold area up nicely. He then got more wood to use later to keep the fires from dieing. He know he had to build some type of a shelter in case it started to rain. "I almost glad it was storm because a lot of trees are knock down for wood those I bet the animals on this island are not thrill around it." Then he thought. "Ummm is there any boats under water around here with items I may be able to use to help build a shelter with?" He paused. “Maybe some large metal sheet I could use as walls.”

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 03:49 AM

"Around this area, there are not any." Léan didn't seem like he was lying...then again, it was difficult to read him. All while Adam was setting up a shelter for himself, he had watched him with the same blank expression...it did not betray any of his emotions.

"No ships...the fallen debris from trees will have to do for now. It does not grow too cold around here at night...you should be fine, save for the occasional overly-curious animal scuttling over to investigate your shelter..." he hummed, semi-apologetic.

Ribe 11-09-2010 04:05 AM

"Oh... that goes that plan.... Well my worry isn't the cold to much but rain when that comes... It will put out the fires and get me wet. I want to stay dry on land." He looked around for tall trees and other things to pull over. "I wish I had rope.... maybe vines.... would work" He sighed not sure how to make this work.

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 04:08 AM

"...I could try to fetch kelp vines," Léan offered, after a lengthy silence. "Kelp vines are long and sturdy, but are easy to get tangled up in. Perhaps those would work? How much would you need?" There was a small kelp forest nearby...he could leave and be back within the span of ten minutes.

Ribe 11-09-2010 04:22 AM

"I think a lot maybe a good 100 feet of it or a few 25 feet ones. I just need enough to tie the tree logs together. The I need more to waves leaves and brushes over it to make it rain poof then maybe a door to keep animals out at night. So lots of vine if it is strong enough." He nodded, "I am going to make this one big enough to over over the middle fire and give me room to move around in. I won't want to have to rush to eat because of the birds again."

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 04:24 AM

Léan ducked underwater without another word. Human measurements were difficult for him to process, so he would decode them in his head as he swam. He would be back soon with the aforementioned kelp vines. They were strong when wet, and strong once they dried, as well.

Ribe 11-09-2010 04:33 AM

Adam had been pulling trees logs and placing them around the middle fire area giving the fire room to breathe and not catch on to the logs he need for the temp house. When the merperson came back he moved over to him. "Thank you again." He tested the vine and smiled. "Wow this is strong I like it, its will be good for rope."

Then he moved over to the sand and used a flat rock to help him dig a hole in the ground. He placed the first tree log in place then cover it up again. He made sure the tree would stand on its own. "One down tree more to go for the frame. This is going to take a long time but I think I will like it hey maybe when I am gone it will be a good hide out for you if you get hurt again." Adam said as he worked on digging the hole for the second tree log.

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 04:42 AM

Léan didn't comment on his suggestion. Instead, he simply watched him again, the absent but perceptive look in his eyes coupled with the silence making the air around them quite tense. He didn't mean to cause tension between the two of them. Staring was not considered something that was rude in his world...

There were many differences between the worlds of merpeople and humans. For instance, being small and petite was something that was favored for both sexes. Being overweight was nearly impossible due to how the metabolisms of merpeople worked. Everyone was open about their sexuality, and all types of people were accepted...there were many more differences, of course.

Ribe 11-09-2010 04:57 AM

Adam could feel Léan's eyes on him staring and it was starting to make him feel uneasy. So to combat this feeling he worked harder on digging the hole and placing the next tree log in to place. Adam was working quickly to get all 4 tree standing tall and on there own. It took hours to do this and when he finished the 4 he stop and sat down. "Maybe I should add 5 more to it to make it stronger." He looked back to Léan and blushed he was still staring at him it. "Ummm... what are you looking at?"

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 04:59 AM

"...Sorry?"

Léan's brow furrowed a bit, puzzled by Adam's discomfort. Staring wasn't off-limits underwater, so he had no idea that this was the cause of his discomfort. "...You? My apologies if it bothers you, somewhat...you see, we merpeople like to stare. It is a habit of ours."

Ribe 11-09-2010 05:04 AM

"Meee......" He studdered out as he looking away from Léan. adam sat on the sandy beach taking a broke from digging and wondered how to respone to Léan saying he was looking at him. He guessed it could not be a big deal seeing he was looking at Léan eariler but still he didn't know how to held it. "Ummm what about me? I'm not used to being stared at.... but you can keep doing if you like. Just tell me what you see when you look at me."

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 05:09 AM

Léan seemed to detect something off in the way Adam moved and spoke, and he bristled a bit, though this wasn't a sign of aggression. It was a sign that he knew something Adam didn't.

"Let us see...I see a human male. Smaller than myself, probably younger as well. Dark hair, dark eyes, pale skin. A tad meek, with overt fears. How is that?"

He sounded smug, for some reason. His entire attitude seemed to have changed...one could almost call it...

...flirtatious?

Ribe 11-09-2010 05:27 AM

He listen to ever thing Léan had to say and smiled a little. "I am only 16 so I guess I am young then. He looked back to Léan softly "I'm not sure... those you seem to pick up on what I have shown so far." Adam smiled and stood back up he then went back to the four post frame of the temp house. He then pick out the front of it that would face the water. He would dug two more holes in the ground for two more tree logs. This would later become the entrance or door way. Every once an a while he would look back to Léan and blush a little but he try to keep working to keep his mind off of the very good looking merperson.

He wonder if he was weird thinking some one with a tail for half it body was odd or not. Those he could not help it he did think Léan was hot even if he would not say it out loud. Adam worked hard and soon he had 9 tree logs in the ground standing on there own about the same height. Then he took two Y shaped tree branches and kelp and tie them to the middle tree log one the left hand side. Then did that to the right side then the back. This would help to keep the next tree log in place long enough to tie it in to place. He then went to the front and tied the y shaped branches to the two tree logs in the middle. "Wow this is taking longer then I thought to do. I have not even finished the frame of it."

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 05:31 AM

Léan tilted his head, slightly, when Adam began to lightly complain about the work. "You did not think it was going to be easy, did you?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice. "And in case you are wondering...in human years, I look like I am seventeen...perhaps a few months older. But, in your years, I really am...thirty-four..." he added, giving him some food for thought. "We age much more slowly than you do..."

His eyes finally broke away from Adam, and he stretched a bit, the decent muscles in his stomach rippling a bit with the movement. He wasn't overly-buff, but he was no skinny wimp, either...

Ribe 11-09-2010 05:48 AM

"You don't look thirty-four." Adam said to Léan and giggled a little. "Those you still look really fit, why do merpeople age slower?" He wonder in his head but it came out of his mouth as well. Adam did not realized he said that loud and went back to looking at his tree logs and sighing. "No but I hope this would be easier I have never been one to camp in a tent or be too out door-z. I mean the closes thing I came to is a nice warm RV style camper. Meaning its almost like living at home when your in the wild."

He said as he pick up a log and set it on top of the front frame logs then tied it to all four logs poles. Then did that to the other sides until he had a finished frame. "Well at less the frame is strong I think I will put logs on the top for a roof then put leaves over it to keep water out." He places enough tree logs cross the top of the frame that they totally cover it. He then waved the kelp in between it like he was making a raft to swim a way on. Then once that was done tie it down to the frame of the temp house. Then paused. "Damn it.... I should have done that to make the walls too..." He sighed then went to fins lots more logs for the sides. He sat down on the sand and looked to Léan. "I'm not sure this is going to work out like I hope it would."

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 05:59 AM

Léan's tail swished back and forth, as he pondered his question. "Well. It has something to do with what makes us tick. We marvel at how quickly you age..." he added, idly. "Your house does not have to be perfect, by the way. Just livable, for now, until I teach you how to properly swim..."

He sounded tired, like he needed a nice nap. He was sure Adam needed a nap by now, as well.

Ribe 11-09-2010 06:13 AM

He was tried but he would not sleep until he got his walls up to keep the wild animals away from him. "I know that but still I don't want to be attack by the wild animals on here and if I have a strong house they won't be able to hurt me." Adam yawned and started to dig more holes in the sand on the right side places logs in them and making them stand on there own. He did this until the right side was covered then he weaved in the kelp to hold them strong to the from. Also tied them to the roof a little. But he become to tried to finish the last three sides. "Maybe I can hope the fire will be enough to keep them away for now." He moved where his beach towel was and curled up inside of it. "Good night Léan"

Mira-Charma13 11-09-2010 06:18 AM

"Goodnight." Léan dipped underwater, gratefully, to find a place to nest and sleep in for the night. He had been growing quite tired...after all, he wasn't used to carting a human around on his back. No matter how much smaller Adam was than him, he still wasn't used to it, and had been tired out rather quickly.

As such, he wouldn't be able to carry him everywhere...

Ribe 11-09-2010 06:26 AM

The fires burned brightly lighting up the beach when the sin went down. Most animals stay away from fire so Adam was able to sleep in peace for the full night. By morning the fires were still burning but very low they would need wood on them in the next few hours or they would do out for sure. Adam slowly woke as the sun rays beat down on him and force him to open his eyes and yawn.

Those he was still sleeping on sand he slept well because of how tried he was. He slowly got up and place wood on all 5 of the fires making them burn brightly again. He would all need all 5 of until he could finish his house then he would only need of them. Adam started working hard on digging holes in the sand and placing more tree logs in there place and weaving them in. He now had the right side done and the back finished. He was now working on the left hand side.

Mira-Charma13 11-10-2010 02:47 AM

Léan didn't appear until about an hour or so later. He seemed well-rested, and in a better mood than yesterday. He extended his arm towards Adam, while he was working--in his hand was a rather large tuna, freshly killed.

"I figured you would need food. There should be at least one tropical plant on this island you can eat, if you want more," he informed him, idly. He had a smile on his face.

Ribe 11-10-2010 03:50 AM

"Wow he bigger then the last one thank you." Adam took the Tuna the started to place it on a stick and place it neat the fire to cook while he watched it. With 2 and half sides finished he only had to areas to watch because no bird could get him from above with the roof. They would have to go in side the area which he was more then ready to fight them off now. "Léan what to do you think of it so far. Think you could use it once I am gone and back home?"
