"In a second I'll get the leaf to pull you down... I just want to set up the leaves to catch the water for later." Adam quickly run out the door to go get more then tied them with kelp. He turn one in to a tube. The over around for the bottom. He made four of those quicky it took about 5 minutes in total then set up them up on the sides of the house tied so they won't blow a way. He then angle leaves from the roof to pour in to the leaf tubes. Adam smiled then looked to Léan. "Ready." He got his leaf sheld ready for his friend. "Let go."

Léan's tail swished back and forth absently, in acknowledgement. With little haste, he shifted himself onto the offered leaf, was ready to be pulled out to the water. "Today, I am going to try to stay out of your swimming, and simply instruct..."

Adam nodded then pulled the leaf to the water edge when Léan moved off of the leaf Adam place a large rock on it from the beach to hold it down so it would not blew away. It was still raining but it was not storming out so he was not scared of getting hit by lighting right now. Adam enter the water to his knee and waited to see what Léan would want him to do.

Léan swam a bit farther out, gently urging Adam out into deeper water so he could teach him. "All right..." He pointed out towards a small rock face, a few feet out into the ocean.
"Swim out there, and back. See if you can do it." |
Adam blinked at the rock it seem so far out to him. "Ummm.... but you have not really showen me how to use my arms and legs togather yet... I mean yeah the other day when we came to this island... But... I still didn't have the arms only the legs and even that was bad." Adam slowly moved in to the deeper water where he was now shoulder deep. He was lightly kicking his legs in a up right postion keeping his head above the water. He could do this now easier but didn't know how to use his arms to swim to well yet.

Léan demonstrated several different ways of using his arms to swim--all in all, he had four diverse ways of moving the arms. Instead of choosing a movement for Adam, he backed off. "Pick the movement which is easiest and most comfortable for you to do...and then..."
He nodded out towards the rock, wordlessly. |
Adam end up trying the doggy style way of peddling his arms with the kicking the legs straight out like he had been shown before. Adam was slow moving and the waves were pushing him back which made this hard when it should be. Those if he would have pick one of the other leg movements this would have been way easier it took him a long time to get to the rock and when he did he clung to it to rest. He was so tried that he did not think he had to strength to kick back to shore yet.

Léan swam with him, though he provided no assistance. Once they reached the rocks, he started up another lesson, and urged him to choose smoother leg movements to match his arm movements, so that he would move much faster.

Adam looked to his friend. "But its the only leg movement you taught to keep my legs straight out when I kick what would work better with the arms. I think the arm style I was trying the humans talk doggy peddleing with the arms. Those I know the legs where what you showed me." Adam stay clug to his rock panting.

Léan sighed, and then began to demonstrate different arm and leg combination movements, especially ones he had seen humans use while swimming. Much of these were fluid movements.

When Adam felt rested he tried one more this time aiming to swim to shore. He used a basic swiming move fully doggy peddling which even those it was one of the quicker one at less it was easier. The reson it was easier was he was not moving his body in sink instead of doing to different movements at once. The waved helped to push him back to shore quicker and once on shore he sat down to rest. "That was a littel easier but still hard to do."

Léan was laid out beside him, tail stretched out as far as possible. He didn't look tired in the least. "It will take practice. Perhaps you should take a nap for now...since you are tired."
He seemed nonchalant about the progress the human had made, but proud of his teaching efforts. |
"Then I'm going inside the house them to get warm and nap. The rain and cold is getting to me a little." He softly said. "Ummm... want to join me back in the house? Its warm in there and I have that water hole for you to try out." he smiled and softly looked over to Léan he was really started to like being around him. Not just in a friendship kind of way he was starting to get a small crush. Those he know nothing could come of it but it was nice to think about none the less.

Léan was somewhat slow to pick up on that, though he had his suspicions. He did not know exactly how humans felt and reacted to certain things...so, he couldn't know for certain. He nodded, slowly. "All right...I will join you. Shall we use the leaf again?"

"Yeah I think I have strength left for the leaf but after that I'm so going to sleep." Adam removed the leaf from under the rock and moved it over to Léan so he could get on. Once Léan had gotten on he very slowly pulled him in to the house. His arms where so sore from swiming then pulling Léan inside. He put the leaf to the side and was about to cuddle up to go to sleep when he realized he wanted a drink. He walked back out in the rain to see if his leaf tube had worked. He untied it from the house then drank from it downing the whole tube full. He then tied it back to the house and moved back in side.
"I should make more of the rain catchers who know when it going rain again. He moved to his bed and toss another few logs on to the fire and yawned. He placed his blanked over him he was so sleepy. "I need to do so much here and I just can't move to finshed things. I need to get more wood but there all wet out side now." He sighed wondering what he was going to do it the fire went out. |
Léan laid down once Adam reached the house, curling up into a compact sort of ball. "I am probably going to sleep. For now, you should just rest and gather your strength. When you wake up, you can take care of what you need to take care of. Resting is best for now."
He seemed to be speaking sensibly, rationally... |
Adam nodded to Léan. "Your right. I'm doing no good to my self if I push my self now." Adam cuddled in to his towel and pulled his leaf pillow close to him. soon Adam drifted off to sleep. He was very worned out from the digging then the swiming.
The warm fire made him feel really good inside his little house keep it nice and warm when outside it was very cold and wet. Deep down he was glad he had build this before starting lesson the other night or now he would be freezeing. |
Léan rested with him for quite a while. He did jolt awake after having a particularly rattling nightmare, and couldn't fall back asleep. He sighed, softly, and curled up a bit more in his water-hole. When he felt sad or lonely, he would always sing...and out of habit, he began to do so, his voice a gentle, wavering tenor.

Adam was still sleeping when Léan started to sing his song. Adam those a sleep removed his towel as if awake and sat up to listen to the music. Adam's body moved to the music a little and once again like he for he moved to the sound of the music. He moved around the fire then sat infront front of the water hole.

Léan noticed him. If he tried to hug or cling to him now, he wouldn't necessarily care unless it got out of hand...he was close enough to the edge of the water hole so that Adam wouldn't fall in and get wet. He continued to sing--singing always made him feel so much better when he was down.

Soon Adam arms wrapped around Léan hugging him. Adam cuddled in to Léan even those he was still sleeping. His body seemed to be on auto pilot from the song. Adam could not control his actions nor did he knew what he was doing. He lightly kisssed Léan's neck as that where Adam could reach with how he hugging him.

Léan jumped, the action pushing Adam back slightly--he just missed the fire, and landed next to it. He was all the way on the other end of the water hole, as far away from the human as possible, bristling in a territorial way.
Being someone who had never even considered having any sort of mate before, the action was odd and terrifying for him. |
When the singing stop and he actaully hit the ground Adam woke up. "Ouch....!" He looked around. "How I get over here.??" He looked to Léan. "You ok....? You seeming scaried...." Adam stood up and dusted him self off. "Was I sleep walking or some thing? or Were you singing again?"

Léan's tail flicked back and forth, in a quick, wary motion. "I was singing. You were asleep..." He trailed off, and didn't say anything more--he allowed Adam's mind to start filling in the errant details.

Adam blinked then moved over to his bed to cuddle back in to his towel. "Oh Ok then but why are you actting scaried? Did I do some thing while I was in the trace again? I'm not sure until like last time I don't even remeber going to the voice. But I had to have done some thing to make you scare."
