Unlike Zexion, Axel had to earn his keep and his daily performances just about covered food and lodgings. "Not yet." He said with an idle shrug of his shoulders. Living on one meal a day, he'd gotten into a habit of eating in the evening and it was around this time of day that his stomach finally began to grumble.

Zexion frowned lightly. He didn't like the fact Axel only ate once a day. It definantly showed because of how skinny he is. "You should eat more." he said, getting out of the lake. He didn't get dressed just yet. He was going to wait for some of the water to dry off his body before putting his clothes back on. But then he'd really needed to get going back home.

"I know, but money doesn't go far these days. I'd have to get a proper job doing something boring to eat more." The red head gave a lazy shrug of his shoulders. Slowly kicking his feet, he began to idly float back towards the bank.

Zexion was silent for a second. "...If your having money problems, you know I could always give you some." he said, hoping to be helpful. He decided he was dry enough and started pulling his clothes back on.

"Thanks, but I'm happy the way I am." Axel began, eyes now open and focused on Zexion. "I have my health, my beautiful physique.." he winked at his friend. ".. and a carefree life. I eat to stave off starvation, not because I feel the need to." Swimming back to the bank, he hauled himself out of the water and flopped back into the grass. "I suppose I could always rejoin the circus if things ever got too bad though."

Zexion smirked lightly. Beautiful physique? Yeah right. But let him think what he wants, right? He shook his head though as a frown formed on his face. "I don't think joining the circus would be a good idea." he said. If Axel did that, it would mean they wouldn't be able to hang out anymore. The circus is always travelling from one place to another and that would limit that already short time they can spend together.

Axel had been raised in a circus, its where he first learnt his 'trade' and partly to blame for him not wanting a proper job. The circus and its folk were free to roam and perform as they pleased, this was how Axel lived his life. "Why not?" He asked, standing to gather his clothes. "Awh, you'd miss me, wouldn't you?"

Zexion raised an eyebrow at Axel before shaking his head. "No. I wouldn't miss you." he said, smirking lightly. Yeah. He would miss him. But he just never would admit it. He was silent for a second before sighing. "I... just don't think circus life is right for you..." he muttered.

Axel feigned a hurt expression as Zexion informed him that he wouldn't miss him. Grabbing his clothes he turned his back to the male and quickly dressed himself. Once fully dressed, he turned back to his friend with a smile. "Have you ever been to a circus?" He asked, walking over to the camp fire to gather his belongings.

A thoughtful look crossed Zexion's face as he thought the question over. "No... I don't think I ever been to a circus..." he said. That didn't surprise him. Whenever he mentioned going to see it anytime, his father would just have some perfomers come to entertain him, saying it was just as good as going. And Zexion just accepted that without question. He'd had no reason to doubt him. But he had always wanted to go.

Axel frowned as he turned to look at his friend once more. "Really? You've never been? Well next time it's in town I'm taking you to it. You'll see just how great it is." He said, kicking out the camp fire and walking back to Zexion. "Promise."

Zexion couldn't stop a light smile from forming on his face. "That sounds great." he said, running a hand through his hair. "But it might be difficult for me to get out of the castle when that time comes. But I would really like to go."

"I still don't understand why you need to sneak out of the castle. Your a royal, surely you can demand to be let out every once in a while." Seemed kinda strange that even at Zexions age he was still banned from leaving the castle.

Zexion thought for a second. "Well... I think that if I demand to be let out, I'll have to have someone there to supervise me so I don't get into any trouble. But, if I sneak out, then I can go where I want and hang with who I want. Plus I like the freedom I get when I managed to escape from the castle." he said, shrugging.

"Yeah, but you'd still have more freedom to leave the castle and do as you please even if there was someone constantly watching over you." But Axel did have to agree, sneaking around did give more freedom and a thrill.

Zexion shook his head. "I wouldn't have much more freedom. And I wouldn't be able to do as I please. I would only be able to do what my superviser deemed safe." he said, shrugging lightly.

"Then rebel. Kick up so much of a fuss that your supervisor backs off and gives you more freedom." That's what Axel would do. Then again, he wouldn't need anyone watching over him, he was more than capable of taking care of himself.

Zexion shook his head. "No. I couldn't do that. As the prince, I'm supposed to keep a calm, composed demeanor. If I don't, I won't make a good king." he said, shrugging lightly. Though the idea of rebellion did sound interesting to him. But he knew he would never be able to, even if he wanted too.

"You won't make a good king by following orders all the time and constantly doing as your told either." Axel pointed out, gathering the last of his things together and then approaching Zexion once more. "Anyway, I guess you'd best get back before they notice your missing."

Zexion sighed and ran a hand through his hair, pushing his bangs out of his eyes. But they fell back into place not even a second later. "You're probably right..." he said, glancing back in the direction of the castle. "When do you think we could hang again?" he asked.

Adjusting his flaming red waist coat, Axel thought about the question and simply gave an idle shrug of his shoulders. "Whenever you want, I'm available all day every day." Well almost, but his performances didn't last more than ten, fifteen minutes at most.

Zexion nodded. "Alright. I'll come find you whenever then." he said. He pushed his bangs out of his eyes again and sighed lightly when they fell back into place. "..I'll see you later then." he said and without waiting for an answer, he turned and headed back towards the passageway that would get him back into the castle. Hopefully noone had noticed he was gone yet and he'd be able to slip in quietly.

"Okay, see you around." Axel said, turning and walking away just as Zexion had. Humming a jaunty tune to himself, the red head made his way back into his town and to his usual performance area to ready himself for his final performance.

Zexion kept his face blank as he managed to get back into the castle with no problem. Noone seemed to have noticed he was gone yet. So he made his way quickly to the library, making sure to keep an eye out for any guards who might be out patrolling the halls.
He slipped into the dark room and walked over to his earlier table. He sighed lightly as he sat down. After a quick glance out the window, he turned his attention to the book in front of him.

Axel did one of his favourite routines. Twirling batons of fire into the air, juggling what seemed to be balls of fire and at the very end, earned a gasp from the audience as he used one of his batons to breathe fire. Pleased with his performance, he dropped his balls and batons into the small bucket of water and waited until the crowd had dispersed before he gathered what he'd earnt and headed home for the night.
