kailani turned to the sound of where she heard a voice from she turned and slowly made her way over to where she had heard it.
the closer she got the more anxius she became it seemed as if she would never find any one in this grand place, she quickened her pace and quickly made it over to the stair well where she nearly ran straight into a man "sorry" she opologized for her near accident.
"hi , my name is kailani" she said as she extended her hand for him to shake

Cordova found it a little amusing when the young woman almost didn't see him. "Cordova." he replied with a smile, taking her hand in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you Kailani. I'm guessing you're new here?" He sounded a bit unsure of himself now. Perhaps she had checked in the night before and he just hadn't seen her yet. The man couldn't shake the feeling that he'd met her before. It didn't occur to him that she was one of the people he had seen Sammy juggling at the front desk earlier. Without warning, Cordova peered closer at her face. "Say...are you human?" he asked with a smile. Afterwards, he turned his attention towards her ears with raised brow. Rude, but his respect for others' personal space came and went like the wind.

kailani giggled as he shook her hand "nice to meet you too" kailani looked at his smile he had nice shiny teeth 'what a nice smile he has' she thought. "ooh yes im new here, im suppossed to be seeking kora so i can find my room and start my job but i have not hadany luck finding her yet"
she noted that he kept glancing at her ears ,with out notice cordova had leaned closer to her face and asked "say...are you human" she smiled and said "im part human but im part fae also, im a hafling".

Staring at how the doctor had just thrown away the metal shard she had pulled out of him, Mamoru gave a little sigh of relief now that the pain was finally gone, even though it still hurt terribly bad inside; it wasnt as bad as it was while she had her hand inside him. Hearing that he was going to porbably heal much faster than usual because he was a demon, he stared over at Lilli with a slight glare, he didnt really like being called a demon due to the fact that it reminded him that he wasnt like anyone else, and remembered being made fun of too much. Obviously he could tell she had to call him by something since she didnt know his name but at this point he didnt care or bother to answer her question. He simply laid don onto the couch staring up at the ceiling closing his eyes. "That does not matter...who I am...or what I am. does it?" he asked keeping his attention away from her.

Sammy raised an eyebrow. That made her suspicious. Did he not want to tell her because he had a bad life? Or was it that he was a criminal and had killed many people? She couldn't help but laugh when he told her she was a good cook. "It's just a sandwhich. Normally the cooks cook but I figured a sandwhich is a sandwhich." She didn't feel like getting into detail that she kind of had to learn to fend for herself when her parents ignored her. She again laughed. "Well. I guess you could say that I run the place. I just kinda.... look over things because the owner doesn't live here anymore. He's to high and mighty for us now... But I do have a lot of down time. My room displays that down time." Wanting to explain what she meant she continued. "I take photo's or lounge around." She added.

He looked on as Sam gave him a calculating look and continued on with her explanation of the inn and her cooking. He didn't honestly think that you had to cook to bee a good cook. Making sandwiches was very hard. He sure as hell couldn't make one. He normally put too much of some kind of ingredient and it normally came out too soggy or too crunchy or too crispy. Jaylen was a disaster to all kitchens.
"Taking photos sounds like a lot of fun. Is it landscapes or profiles? Or do you do everything?"

Sammy grinned at his question. "Everything." She winked at him. "I like to take pictures of anything that comes my way. I feel bad for the people who don't like to be in pictures. I take pictures of them anyways." She laughed remembering an incident of this with an old worker. People could be so childish sometimes really.

[Abigail found Mamoru's armor and sword and is bringing it back to him. Lilli healed Mamoru (in a painful way) and he's resting on a couch while waiting for Abigail. Kailani was looking for Kora and Cordova started bothering her :XD
I'm guessing you already read what Jaylen was doing. So far there's only been a few posts since your last post Fairy :yes:]


"Half a fae?! Of course! Why didn't I realize it sooner?" Corova smacked the base of his palm on his forehead. Many had a fae come through his homeland and the sight of the Kailani gave him such sweet nostalgia even though he didn't immediately realize it. However, he only ever saw full-blooded fairies in his youth and most of his childhood neighbors weren't exactly particular towards humans. Especially humans who had magic like they had. At least that was what the fae were like back home. It always made him wonder why they bothered visiting his city in the first place. "I must admit, I've never met a halfling before. A half- fae I mean. And as for Kor-kor, she should be around....." He looked down the hall Kailani had come from before looking down the way he came. "...Around here somewhere...She's probably making her rounds or something. I could help you find her if you'd like." At this point, the sorcerer had already pushed aside the memory of needing to sell his paintings.

"You're kinda silly, of course it matters." Lilli said, taking the spot after his feet on the couch. "After all, how would you be able to know what the patient's needs and vulnerabilities are?" Considering she didn't even ask about this patient's needs and vulnerabilities, it was a miracle she even remembered her teacher's sage advice. Lilli smiled air-headedly before brushing the feathers of a wing with her fingers. She looked down at the floor for a moment before looking out a nearby window and up at the clear blue sky, her dark red eyes filled with thought. "And also.....I guess if you don't know who you are, you won't know who you want to be."

When Lilli had sat down onto the couch as well, Mamoru looked at her for a moment than took his attention away from her as he kept staring up at the ceiling not saying a single word, at least not until she had finally brought out her last statement, than he looked back at her sitting up on the couch taking a little sigh. "I may not know who I really am....but its no doubt about it I already know who I want to be..and that doesnt matter to you who I want to be." he said standing up straight holding on arm on his stomach from the wound still being in pain; without another word he walked away from her, leaving the lobby and headed right back upstairs where he began to walk slowly down the hallway till he reached his room door; from there he looked inside just to see if his armor and sword were back yet; obviously seeing that they werent, he left the door heading back down the hallway till he reached the window where he had jumped out of last time, looking out the window and staring down at the ground Mamoru could see how the trees that he was training against earlier were still there as the one he clawed down was also still collasped on the floor.

a big smile came across kailani's face as she was asked if she needed help finding Kora she felt so releived " ooh yes please i would love that very much, thank you" she said to Cordova as she bounced from her heels to her toes.' im so happy i found some one to help me , this place is kinda big to be seeking some one ive never seen before' she thought to herself as she brushed down her dress some in the back making sure it hadn't been showing anything she wouldnt be willing to show any one she didn't know.

Jaylen gulped when he heard Sam say 'eveything'. He wasn't sure what she was implying but his mind was always in the gutter. But when she innocently giggled about taking pictures of unsuspecting victims he couldn't help but smile. She was such a nice girl. He was really going to like it here.

"I use to hate taking pictures. My parents would make a yearly thing of it. Trying to keep up some facade of the perfect family. It was disgusting." He sneered as he took another sip o apple juice. He wished it was something stronger. "I like to read and write in my spare time. Maybe some of your photos would inspire me?" He grinned and started playing with his hair behind his ear.

The smile she had shrank, but it did not fade. Quietly Lilli watched as her patient left. It seemed he had something on his mind. She continued to brush her wings for a bit and wondered if she should wait for the other girl to get back. Afterall, wouldn't it be a surprise for her to return with the young man's things and not find anyone. Then again, she didn't exactly know what she would say to her. Lilli didn't even know where the feline had gone off to. With a sigh she decided to wait a while longer where she was before going on her way. The doctor was still needed back at her clinic and vacation time was over.

"I guess we should try the first floor then. I saw her out in the garden last but she had gone in a long time ago.", Cordova suggested. He stepped down from the stairs and started heading for the dining area. "Oh, she has long black hair by the way. And she's Japanese. Have you seen anyone like that on your way here?", he asked, thinking maybe Kailani might have passed her and not known it.

following after codova kailani looked around for Kora she now knew she had long black hair and was japanese, so at least she knew who she was looking for now "ooh no i havent run into any oneyou are the second person i have seen besides umm.."kailani thought about the lady she had talked to earlier to get in."i don't remember her name she was at the front desk" she said as she continued to look around for kora sticking close enough to Cordova so she wouldn't get lost.

Sammy grimaced when she heard him talk about yearly photos with her parents. She knew exactly where he was coming from. One day every year her parents would take off an hour or two from their work to drag her to take pictures. But they weren't just ordinary pictures. These damn pictures made her dress up in different theme's. Like cowboy, or elizabethan, or the future. It was a pain in the butt. She shivered and then smiled when he talked about reading and writing. So intelligent and flirty. What was she going to do with herself? She nodded. "Well, if you want. On the way to your room we can stop by mine and you can have a look around." She suggested lightly. She wondered now, if he was still hungry. "Do you want desert? Or something?" She asked curiously.

"Nope, I'm fine. I just really need a shower. I think flies are starting to follow me." Jaylen swatted the air around him as if he were ridding himself from the insects. He chuckled nevously and stood. "Now if you could show me to my room I would be more than happy to spend the rest of my night with you." Jaylen held out his hand to Sam.

As Mamoru stood at the window staring down at the backyard of the apartment still seeing that tree he brought down to the ground, he blinked a couple of times as his ears flinched and his tail swayed left and right a couple of times. It was almost like he was in some kind of trance as he felt strange from just remembering what happened about half an hour ago. He stared down at where he stood outside seeing that his armor and sword werent there anymore, sighing a little he nodded to himself opening the window back up and stared down at he floor seeing as how it was about a two story jump. Originally this would be a simple easy jump if he hadnt any wounds but considering the kind of surgery he just went through, it was really doubtful this was going to work out too well. Though he couldnt let his armor and sword go missing like this, so he simply jumped out of the window landing onto his feet causing his whole body to shiver from top to bottom. "Woah..." he said shaking his head regaining his balance as he began to limp around feeling a sharp pain inside from from reopening the wound that was already sealed up within him.

"Oh, that would be Sammy. She's been a busy woman ever since the owner left her in charge. Though sometimes I think she'd rather flirt with the guests than actually run the place." he replied, chuckling at the memory of when he first arrived at the apartment. After reaching the dining room Cordova quickly looked around for any sight of the oriental maid before deciding to move on to the kitchen. It was then that he spotted the blond waitress still entertaining the man from the front desk. "Hey Sams, have you seen Kora anywhere?", he asked with a mischievous grin and hoped he was interrupting something.

Sammy giggled at his small antics and nodded. Point taken. She grinned and nodded. She was about to slid her hand in hist to stand, since he held it out to her, and might she say she loved the way he said he'd spend the rest of the night with her. No one ever really flirted back. It was then that Cordova decided to pop his pretty little head in. She rolled her eyes and stood with Jay's hand. She gracefully slid her way across the room to Cordova, swaying her hips like usual. "I have not. Why?" She asked lightly, grinning.

Kailani followed cordova and listened to him as he explaned how sammy came to work here and everything she nodded and then they came to the dining room she peeked her head around Cordova and waved at sammy who seemed like she didn't want to be interupted "hi again Sammy" she said.
she giggled at Cordova ,as he grinned and sammy andasked her if she had seen Kora, but sadly Sammy hadn't.
as she ducked her head back she pouted "ooh poo" guess we shall have to keep looking then"

Jaylen smiled when Sam reached out to him, then a voice popped their bubble. Jaylen was glad to see he wasn't the only one annoyed. He looked to see a boy peeking by the doorway. He leaned into Sam. "Who is that?" Jaylen whispered.

"I guess so." the orange haired painter replied in agreement with the half-fae. He didn't notice that Jaylen was whispering a question to Sammy and just continued talking to the waitress. "Kailani here has been looking for her so she could be shown to her room. And something about her job." Cordova figured he could let Kailani explain the rest if she'd like. After all, he wasn't sure what the details of her employment were in the first place. As he waited for the anyone's reply, Cordova caught sight of a nearby coffee machine and decided to pour himself a cup. He was still lugging around his paint stained coat so he had to move it over his shoulder to be able to use his arms.

Sammy giggled feeling Jaylen's warmth from behind, his slight breath on her ear. She let Cordova talk before she answered either of them. She nodded and smiled at Kailani. She was here for a maid job right? She watched Cordova go to coffee and reached up to pat Jaylen's cheek lightly. "Cordova an artist and year guest and a newcomer, maid I think." She whispered back, stopping herself from leaning back into him. Instead she dropped her hand and took a step towards Kailani. "Do you have your key darling? I was about to show Jay to his room anyways. You're a new maid, right?"

"ooh yes, new, maid, keys yep yep" she smiled and nodded and held up a set of keys dangling them .
shelooked over at the orange headed Cordova who was getting cofee and thought about getting herself a cup but decided against it.Looking back at sammy she said "if its not any trouble i mean if you wouldnt't mind that would be great... ooh and nice to meet you, umm jay right?
