"Jaylen." He smiled down at the small girl. "It's nice to meet you miss. I am new here as well." Jaylen took a step away from the ladies and glanced at Sam. "She was just getting ready to give me the grand tour." Jaylen scratched his neck nervously.

kailani smiled up at jaylen as he said "nice to meet you miss" she replied "ooh you don't have to go and use formalities you can call me kailani" she said as she giggles 'he called me miss ' she covered her mouth to hide her smile ^^.
removing her hand and letting out a small cough she looked between sammy and jayleen she didn't want to ruin there moment. 'i wonder if Cordova knows how to get to my room, i can always find Kora tomorrow i gues' she thought to herself

Sammy shook her head. She didn't mind at all. It just meant that Jay and herself had another person added to their small group. She could see that Cordova had been painting or planning on panting. Her hands ached without her camera, now. She wanted to take pictures and fought every urge to run upstairs and grab her camera and then she felt it. She hadn't felt it in a long time but she felt it now. A cold rush around her. Goosebumps appeared on her bare arms. For the first time Sammy dropped all body language of flirtiness. She'd done it before, but if anyone asked she never answered. "D-did anyone else get cold suddenly? Or was it just me?" She asked frantically, one hand rubbing her other arm. "I uh... I'm going to get a jacket... I.... Um..." Sammy fought for words, she felt the cold again and tensed. She looked around. She squealed a 'be right back' before practically ripping her heals off and running out to the stairs. She hurried up the stairs and to her room. She felt like she was being chased. With a shaky hand she unlocked her door and threw it open. She grabbed her big jacket and frantically put it on, zipping it up. Her whole dress was covered, the jacket stopping past her knees, the sleeves stopping at the beginning of her fingernails. Her blonde hair and eyes and legs stood out against the black of the jacket. This could not start again. Not again...

Cordova was busy enjoying the warm Java when Sammy asked about a change in temperature. While it would sound like a normal question anyone could ask, only the waitress would follow it up with suddenly leaving. Despite having lived at the apartments for a while, he never found out why she did that. The blond was always very vague about this particular habit of hers. Spying didn't do much good for Cordova as his friend seemed to be very cautious with her secret.

She had already left the group behind before he turned around so all he could do was stare at the doorway she had left through. "Hmmm...." Deep in thought, he took another sip of his coffee before he asked Jaylen and Kailani, "Think we should follow her?"

kailani watched as sammy's demeneor seemed to change and she begin to ask about the weather shaking her head kailani answered""no feeels pretty normal to me" but by the time she said that sammy had already run off saying she was going to get a jacket.
Watching her run away kailani wondered what could be wrong with her.
looking around to see how every one else reacted she scratched her head softly and hear Cordova ask if we should follow her "hmm...yea why not" she said as she started bouncing from heel to toe.

Jaylen could only stare after her. Sam had suddenly vanished in the blink of an eye. Jaylen looked at where she ran off to and then back to Kailani. "What the heck was that?"

Jaylen was concerned with what happened to Sam. He wasnted to chase after her but he thought better of it. His hands were twitching and he wrung them. He decided to just let her have a moment before he would go looking for her.

Sam's blue eyes darted all around her room. She was scared. She was always scared. Normally it didn't bother her, only sometimes did it bother her. The ghost of her long dead little sister. It'd been summer when it happened. She was playing with her at their summer house. She grabbed bunny away from her sister, Avril, and turned running to the dock. She was 6 and her sister 4. She knew her sister was afraid of water. And that's why she'd run to the dock. She stood at the end and waved bunny around. She teased her sister. She waved bunny over the water and shook him around mocking her sister. She hadn't expected Avril to run out in the dock. It'd been a stupid little game with her sister. But Avril ran out and shoved Sammy into the water angrily. Avril's foot slipped and she fell in too. Sammy doggy paddled after surfacing. She was gasping for air but she pulled herself out of the water. She had turned and screamed at her sister angrily only Avril was under the water. She was surfacing. Shaking from the cold lake water, it took her five minutes to realize her sister wasn't going to surface. 'Avril! Avril!' But there was never an answer. Only bunny floated to the top and her sister never had...

Sammy shivered at the memory. Her closet opened without being opened and clothes flung at her. Sammy's eyes stung from tears making her vision blurry but she managed to dodge the clothes. "Leave me alone!" She screamed, shaking violently. Why wouldn't her sister leave her alone?! How did her sister know that she was here?! But it was Avril, she knew. Just knew it.

Cordova nodded in agreement with Kailani and placed his mostly finished coffee down on the counter. He made his way to the door but stopped to look back when he noticed Jaylen didn't seem to want to see Sammy just yet. "You can follow us if you'd like.", he invited, before heading out of the kitchen.

"C'mon Kailani." Cordova subconsciously grabbed the bouncing girl's hand and lead the way to Sammy's floor. It wasn't long before the sorcerer sensed something was wrong and stopped just a few doors short of the waitress'. "Do you...do you feel something?", he asked Kailani, thinking that perhaps her fae side might be more in tune with the supernatural than his were.

There was definitely a strange presence he could feel coming from Sammy's room. It was too faint for him to feel while they were still in the kitchen since he skipped out on his Necromancy classes on a nearly daily basis, but it was strong enough for him to notice now. As if to answer his question, a terrified scream emanated from the waitress' room.

kailani looked between Jalyen and cordova ,Jaylen seemed as if he really confused abut following sammy when suddenly Cordova came and took her hand and lead her in the direction Sammy had left in. as kailani walked behind Cordova she felt a strange feeling come over her the closer they drew to Sammy's room, suddenly Cordova stopped "Do you...do you feel something?", he asked.
kailani stared at the closed door feeling shivers go up and down her spine she nodded to cordova."Something or some on in that room that there" she said as she pointed and continued to starte at the door.
