Yan smiled and followed Kyle into the house and gave a nod as he mentioned looking for weapons. She had never been one for weapons and wasn't sure how to use any. Though it looked like it would make Kyle day if they went to the armory witch was fine with her. Besides at lest he would know what to do with him. "Sure do you think Death will mind us just roaming about his house and taking his weapons?"

"I don't think He'll mind, he did tell us to arm ourselves. You don't look like a fighter, unless you count you pen as a weapon."
Kyle Said as he smiled and entered the Armory. "Whoa," he said looking at the swords on the wall, "No way, This looks like a Kit Rae. Oh Kit Rae's a famous sword designer, has pictures to go with all of his swords. THey were really ornate, but usable." He added the last part realizing that only Sword enthuistist like himself normally knew who Kit Rae was. "THis armory is amazing." He took the sword and said, "I always thought that the blades would look really cool with a black finish." Immediately become black. "Oh that was cool. I think these would do you nicely," hadning her two daggers,"they're not too big nor too heavy"

Titus stood around as the others moved about doing as they pleased. He still stood where he had woken only a few short moments ago trying to take in everything he had heard. He had watched his sister leave before saying a word to him witch he had not missed. He would have a conversation with her about her behavior and the fact she was stupid enough to give up on her life. He had his own reason he was not near as talented as she was. Her art sold for good money and she had a brilliant future a head of her as a artist. He had never understood how any one as talented as her could waste it on something so stupid as things like this. He shook his head as he let out a sigh and moved slowly to the Kitchen. He closed his eyes as he moved then open them quickly as he found himself face planted into a door before stumbling back. He stared at the door then closed his eyes and let out another sigh as he open them scolding himself internal for not being aware of his surroundings. He really hopped no one had seen his little display as he continued to the kitchen.

Yan gently took the daggers as she stared at them finding them rather beautiful. She held them up to view them in dim light that lit the room marveling at their craftsmanship. She wasn't a swords person in the lest and knew nothing of weapons but to her they looked to be a piece of art. She gently lowed her arms as she tried to get use to the daggers in her hands. She looked to Kyle and smiled as she saw how happy he got over the sword. It was a beautiful piece she had to admit as she studied it. She didn't want to use her daggers and most certainly didn't want Kyle using anything so beautiful to stain it with blood or worse. "I guess I have a hundred years to learn how to use these. Maybe even how to makes some." She said as she studied her own daggers. She made notes of how she would fix them later with her new power. "The quote goes' "The pen is mightier than the sword." There is a reason for it and I think my pen is besides if I need a weapon I could just draw it. I think one of my drawings of the dragons I draw would be a great weapon."

(Did the hyperlinks work?)

Kyle Picked up teh scabbard of his own sword and handed Yan hers. "That is true, a dragon would be an awesome weapon, but did death ever tell you you'd be able to control the thigns you drew. Its something people take for granted, although if you gave the dragon a name, say Blackthrone, you should be able to control it because naming something gives you power over it, or at least that's what the Bible says. It's funny most people are shocked about this but i'm actually a devote Catholic." He went over to the armor, not to find anything, armor always slowed people down, but to lok at them. HE found one set of armor that caught his eyes though. It was a black hardened leather suit that was flexible but when he slid his sword across it, it didn't leave a scratch. "Hmmmm.... Intresting. I'll take it." He also noticed that there was a hood attached to it. He pulled the armor on, turned adn said, ""How do I look?"

((Yes, Yes they did work))

Still standing there smiling Aaron had no clue that someone had walked into the room. After quickly double checking that his blades and bow were secure Aaron turned. His grin slowly vanished into more of a natural look. There stood a woman, a little younger looking than him, with some of the longest black hair he had seen with softly colored blue eyes.

He was taken aback, had she been there the entire time while he just stood there smiling? Come to think of it he had not seen her in the room with the others, maybe she woke up a little later. Either way he composed himself, when Aaron was alive he met plenty of new people at the matches he attended and had become comfortable with meeting new people.

"H-Hi", he stammered but quickly regained himself, "My name is Aaron. Sorry if I some how overlooked your presence here, I was just overwhelmed by all the armaments."

Aaron gestured around them towards the weapons that remain displayed on the wall. He resisted the urge to look her over further and remained intent on keeping eye/face contact. Soon it became easy enough to maintain gaze location as Aaron began taking in her facial features.

"It is good to make your acquaintance.", Aaron said while holding out his hand in such a manner for her to place her fingers in his.

He was fully intent on bringing her hand to his lips for a gentle kiss, like knights of old would do. It was actually a rare greeting for him to extend, usually he reserved it for the greeting of woman combatants.

Aaron's heart had leaped up into his throat and was beating with a warmth and intensity he had never really felt. Assuming it was from the unexpected nature of their introduction Aaron attempted to ignore the feelings in the hope they would diminish.

Two more people entered the room but Aaron hardly noticed, his attention was Sky.

Yan was lost in her fascination of the weapons that Kyle had gave her when she noticed they where not alone in the room. She looked about at the others then looked back to Kyle. She smiled as she looked back to Kyle finding it hard to look away from him for long. It was strange she had never been this way when she was alive. He seemed to bring the best out in her and he was different from most guys she had met when she was a live. He wasn't fake or arrogant. He was the nice guy with a big heart and a brain. She shook her head as she laughed watching him. He acted like a child in a candy store. At lest now that she was dead she would finally learn how to use weapons and apparently death had found the perfect guy to teach her and the others about weapons. "How do you know so much Kyle about theses?" She said as she gently put the daggers away.

She pulled out her pen as she began to draw in the air this time. She loved her new power as the new improved case formed in front of her. She finished it up and quick attached one to her hip another to her leg. She loved how convenient it was to make modification on anything she wanted to. Though as she looked back to Kyle she felt awkward again as she had in her real life. Here she was just modifying something that some one else loved. She was fixing something again that was never broken.

Quote:
“Ditto” Syblle said, wishing the circumstances could have been different, but hey!, no crying over spilt milk right? “I could use some chocolate….or maybe ice-cream, actually both. I suppose I’m dead and therefore can’t get fat… Oh” she said in reply to Carley, “I adore pie! And it's nice to meet you.”
Carley's heart fluttered in her chest. She didn't want to be dead. There was no mention of being killed when she first talked to Death. She stared blankly at nothing with her mouth agape, upset and wanting to go home. Someone was talking to her and she slowly looked up, focusing her eyes on the pretty girl. Carley blinked once, processed what she said, and responded to her in a distant voice.

"It's nice to meet you too." She leaned her forehead into the palm of her hand and pinched her eyebrows together. "I'm sorry. This is all just a huge shock to me. Lets get some food. Maybe that will help."

With that she headed towards the kitchen. She passed the open doors to the armory, but ignored it. The kitchen was massive and sparkling clean. Carley opened cupboards and drawers finding that everything was well stocked. She smiled to herself finally beginning to feel just a little calmer. Cooking was safe territory. She loved to cook, so she pulled mixing bowls out, eggs, four, and everything else needed to make biscuits from scratch. Biscuits fresh from the oven were the ultimate comfort food.

Kole and Kimmi Nakashita had finally woken up, on a plush red and gold sofa. Kimmi tried to remember why she was in this place, and then it hit her. "Oh god, why did I agree?" Kole shrugged. "You're always making deals with people anyways, was this much different?" Kimmi rolled her eyes. "Duh. We're dead."

Syblle sat awkwardly on the chair as people began to leave the room until she finally got up to find the kitchen too. She noticed the heavy doors open; she assumed it wasn’t the kitchen from the glance she got of the inside. Lot of metal glinted in the dim light of the hallway from behind the doors. She clicked her tongue and continued onward.

Once inside, she saw Carley, pulling various things from the huge kitchen. “hmmmmm…what’cha making?” She wondered over to one the fridges to peer inside, looking for nothing in particular.

Kyle looked behind him and saw the others in the room. He noticed the guy, Aaron, he thought, was gawking at the girl. HE didn't want to ruinthe moment for him so he left him alone to gawk. When he turned around he saw Yan creating the sheath. IT was really cool to see her create. The lines appeared int the air adn then formed the sheathe out of nothing.
"THat's so cool. Why don't i think of powers like that. AS for why I know so much about swords and other medieval weapons is becuase my uncle adn i used to collect them. We had so much fun practicing wiht them. Anyway he died six years ago, right after mom. Well no need to dwell on the past. WE should get going now," He said, "YOu might want to do the same if you're done here, Aaron. We're headed to the kitchen if you wish to join us," HE said to Aaron approaching him, "YOU might also want to stick your tounge back in your mouth, " HE wishpered in his ear. "It's unbecoming."
He hoped that he heard the joking nature of his voice. This is what life is supposed to be like. Not the crappy piece of scrap that I was handed out. He looked at YAn and extending his arm in an escorting fashion. "So, tell me more about yourself."

Startled by his bright green eyes, Sky simply stood there for a moment. Coming back to her senses she focused on him, noticing again just how handsome he was. She heard the other boy say something to him about his tongue sticking out and softly smiled, something rare for her. Not being around many people, she didn't tend to smile very often but when she did it lit up her entire face.

She took a few hesitant steps toward him and placed her hand in the one he had offered. "H-hello. My name is Sky," she said very softly. "It's nice to make your acquaintance as well." She felt her cheeks growing red as she looked down shyly, her hair swinging in front of her face.

Usually so uncomfortable around the opposite sex, she felt strangely at ease with the young man in front of her. Perhaps it was the warm look on his face or the fact that he showed no malice at all towards her. So many usually took no notice of her at all and thought she was strange for vastly preferring the night to the day.

Yan stared at Kyle then laughed as she saw the other guy Aaron. She shook her head as she watched Kyle. She wasn't sure if he wanted to be with the other girl instead and kept quite. She took his arm and kept quite as they left not sure what to say. "You know if you want to be with them you can. I am sure you would rather be with them. It is ok really." She said as she looked at the beautiful wood work that was about them. "I hate the color pink and being a soiled brat. I am a tom boy. I enjoy being outside and exploring. I love shadows and night time. My favorite thing is dancing in the moons light under a full moon." She got quite as she looked back to him. "What about you tell me something about you."

Everything seemed to be slowed down for Aaron as the both of them stood there lost in each others gaze. Then Kyle walked up and the sense of time returned to Aaron as Kyle started to speak to him. Aaron caught the tail end of the first part, something about a kitchen... Then at the joke about his tongue Aaron almost looked to make sure his tongue was indeed still in his mouth.

Aaron loved jokes, but right now a look of surprise was most prevalent on his face. Then Kyle and the other woman who he did not have a chance in meeting yet began to walk off together. Then Sky smiled, a sight that Aaron would have been inclined to believe filled the room with a sort of radiance.

Aaron was on the fast track to forgetting himself again as Sky introduced herself. When she placed her hand in his Aaron finally grabbed hold of his mind again. With a practiced grace Aaron brought Sky's hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on it. Watching her cheeks grow slightly more red in color gave Aaron a little more confidence while the way her hair fell around her face did exactly the opposite.

He let go of Sky's hand and was quick to think of something to say to avoid another long silence, "You came here to pick out weapons right? Don't let me get in the way of that. Did you need any help or do you know what you are looking for?"

Now this was back to something he was comfortable with. Aaron forced the thought of weapons into his mind while whispered thoughts leaked in from the corners. 'What is wrong with me! Keep it together.', Aaron thought to himself, and then proceeded to remember what Kyle had said to him allowing a natural and light smile to form.

She looked up in surprise and delight as he kissed her hand. No one had ever done that before and she found she quite liked it. When he let go, she found herself surprisingly disappointed. "I-i came in to just look around but....there are just so many." She turned to the wall where all the weapons were.

Looking around again, she pondered which weapons would suit her best. She trained daily with a long sword, but was also skilled with daggers that could be hidden well on the body. She walked over to the wall, meaning to take a sword down, when a flash of red caught her eye. There at the bottom were 2 daggers with a wicked curve to them. She took one from the wall and noticed at the inlay of gold on the handle depicting a roaring dragon. She weighed the marvelous weapon in her hand and found it had perfect balance. Taking the other as well she smiled with delight. These would be perfect. Plus if what Death had said was true, she would be able to shift into any animal at will and use claw and talon as well as a fighting weapon.

Turning to Aaron, she smiled softly again as she saw the smile upon his face as well. Her stomach rumbled in response to the smells coming from the kitchen. With a look of embarrassment she looked towards Aaron. "Ah, um it seems being dead does nothing for being hungry. Perhaps we should move to the kitchen and see what we can find? It seems as if that's where all the other people seem to have gone." She looked at him shyly, wondering if he would want to keep her company. She found herself hoping that she could get to know him better.

Aaron observed and took note as Sky looked about for her weapons of choice. He watched as she spotted the two daggers and tested them to see if they were to her liking. She knew something about the testing for weights, Aaron found himself slightly surprised from this realization.

Her rumbling stomach actually made him suddenly remember his own hunger, "Yeah lets go, my stomach is saying the same thing yours is."

Together they walked out of armory and made their way to the kitchen. The smell of biscuits cooking had filled the hallway and in response his stomach rumbled. Aaron could not help but laugh at that, seeing as what happened just a little earlier.

He gave her a warm smile before they continued on into the kitchen. All sorts of thoughts of food came flooding in as the smell of biscuits grew more intense.

Carley brushed her bangs off her her face with the back of her hand, leaving a streak of flour. She looked up and smiled widely at Syblle.

"I'm just finishing up these biscuits" She said as she popped them in the oven. "And I've started some sausage gravy to pour over the top when they come out." Carley gestured to a pot on the stove. "Not the healthiest meal, but I think I need to comfort food after our little shock."

Sky laughed with him as his stomach rumbled. She paused for a moment. "You know, I can't remember the last time I laughed with anyone." The aroma of biscuits made her mouth water with longing. Hearing voices from the kitchen, she walked in pleasantly surprised to find two other women already in there.

She stopped, her shyness overcoming her for a moment before she could find her voice. "H-hello there." She felt a sinking in her gut as she realized how beautiful the girls were. Why would he want to be with someone like me when there are more beautiful women here to pick from Finding herself shocked at her train of thoughts, she tried to banish them, hoping no one had seen her face fall. Especially Aaron. It was his decision after all to whom he desired companionship with. "I'm Sky," she said softly.

Carley didn't turn around when she heard more people enter the kitchen. She was stirring the gravy with a whisk and slowly pouring whole milk into the pot. She probably seemed rude, but she didn't want to burn the food.

She was feeling much more relaxed since she had found the kitchen and her earlier hysteria had all together disappeared. The soothing smells and motions of cooking familiar foods eased her troubles.

After an awkward minute she half turned and looked at the woman who had introduced herself. "Hello." She said, more over her shoulder than actually towards her.

Out of the corner of her eye, Carley noticed a man entering with Sky. "Hello." She said, this time more aimed in his direction so that he didn't think she was being rude and ignoring him.

Turning back towards her pot of gravy Carley turned the heat down and let it cook just below a boil while she dashed around the unfamiliar kitchen looking for a serving bowl, plates, and cutlery. She was too busy to stop so she just talked to the room without looking at anyone. In fact she was talking more to the cupboards and plates. "I hope you like biscuits and gravy. If you are vegetation I don't want to hear it. There is more food in the fridge and you can eat a carrot, but I want comfort food."

She pulled the hot biscuits out of the oven and set them on a dark blue platter with a spatula. Then she turned off the heat under the gravy and poured it into a large serving bowl. Plates, forks, and knives were stacked neatly beside the food. "Bon appetite." She said with a smile.

“I’m not really sure why we need food seeing as we are dead, but I won’t argue it. I’d die without chocolate. No wait, again I’m already dead…..I’d act dead without chocolate.” Syblle replied, cocking her head to the side as she thought, one of the cabinets open as she had been snooping around.

Syblle stopped her pointless searching as soon as she heard another voice, this time it was very soft. She bounced over, leaning over the counter and extending her arm out, “Hi! I’m Syblle. I love your hair by the way.” Syblle wished she could pull off black hair, but it didn’t seem to work well on her, so blonde it would stay.

Aaron thought for a moment, about all the laughs he used to share with the people he knew. He sighed as Aaron began to realize that those days were over. But after a moment of sadness he was back to himself, there was nothing he could do now after all they were already dead.

"You know that is to bad.", He said to Sky as she revealed not remembering since the last time she shared a laugh, "We will have to make more of those memories, so you will not be able to say that again."

He talked with a sort of calmness about it, like his mind was in two places at once. The greetings in the kitchen kicked him back out of remembering mode.

"Hello!", Aaron said back cheerfully to being greeted.

He watched as Carley cooked, it was amazing to see her do so many things at once. Seeing her prepare everything kind of made him wish that he had picked master chef as the power granted by death...

"What all are you making there?", Aaron asked, giving an inquisitive glance to what all was laid out on the counter tops.

Sky looked over to Aaron and gave him a soft smile. "T-that would be nice." She hadn't smiled this much in years. It was nice to be able to smile with people again. She could see that the girl cooking was busy so she turned her attention to the other girl who had just pulled herself out of the fridge and bounced over to the counter.

"O-oh thank you," she said shyly. "It smells wonderful in here." She looked around the kitchen in amazement. It looked like everything a cook could want or need was somewhere in this massive room. The smell of biscuits filled the air, reminding her just how hungry she was. She moved over to the counter and pulled out a stool from under it and sat down. "There's some more chairs here if you want to sit down Aaron."

She felt her face flush as she spoke to him. Something about him.... She wasn't quite sure what made her so at ease around him, but she found she liked it. She smiled at him again, this time a little more brighter and with less shyness than before. Her eyes locked on his for a moment and it felt as though she was drowning in them. Snapping back to the present she tore her eyes away from him, her face bright red.

"Biscuits and gravy." Carley said with a grin. She pulled out a chair and sat, and then served herself a large biscuit and smothered it in gravy. "Help yourselves."

She let the steaming food cool on her plate while she looked at the people gathered in the kitchen. "So what brought all of you here? Why did you make the deal with Death?"

Kyle looked at Yan and just thought about how invisible he'd be to her in life. "Well, not much to tell really. My dad left me as a babe, mom died when i was nine, lived in a string of lousy foster homes and orphanages for a while, and even with my good old sword loving uncle for a while. He died three years ago. I'm a loner, no one ever talked to me in school, or anywhere for that matter." then he added, in a comical, commercial mocking voice ""I like pina colatas, long walks on the beach, and romantic moonlit dinners" He gave a quick wink and sly smile as he led her through the door and offered her a seat.
He opted to stand.

Yan smiled as she heard his quot from one of her favorite songs. She laughed as she took a set. She looked about the room as she smelt the wonderful smell of food. "Mmmmm...it all smells good. My brother would die for some of this food. Nothing makes him happier than food." She said as she smiled knowing Titus weakness was his love for food. She had always got her way with him since she was the one who did the cooking.

Kyle decided to stand. He didn't want to seem rude but he didn't like sitting, he had always been picked on the most when he was lower than his aggressors. They would yell at him and throw things at him at lunch. It was completely annoying, but made a lasting impression, he'd never sit down now, even in death. "Hello everyone! I think formal introductions are in order. I guess we'll just start with names and whatever 'gift' we received from death and something about you we should know i guess," Kyle said. "I'm Kyle Alan Gear, and have the ability to bend shadows to my will. I'm much happy now that I'm dead actually, but i understand if you guys don't agree with me. I'm a generally nice guy and a sword enthusiast."
