The red head shook his head the chuckled. "Let me put some tea on. Perhaps it will ease both of us a smidge," he answered calmly. Crono prepared tea on the stove then hurried up his staircase to fetch a few texts he needed. Grinning he scrambled back downstairs and set them on the floor. Then he went into the kitchen poured two earthen mugs full of tea then returned to where Maria was. He handed her the mug with a smile. "For you, and now reading," he answered grinning. The demon plopped down in his circle of text and began scanning over the information.

She smiled and took a sip of the tea. It was an interesting taste and not entirely unpleasant. She glanced at the books he was reading and frowned. THey were not english that was for sure. She picked up one and glanced at it curiously. She flipped through the pages staring at the odd pictures. It was quite interesting. SHe wondered if she could learn more about this place instead of just sitting around.

Crono continued to pour over his books. His eyes scanned pages looking for a way to return a human with out going himself. It would take him sometime to look threw all these ledgers. At her question the red head looked up. Lightly he raised and eyebrow and grinned. "Depends on the demon. Some like to privately torture and dominate them. Some like simple human companions. Others just like to be intimate with something other than demons," he said quietly.

She frowned mulling this over in her mind.
"And what is your preference? I am sure you have one." |
The red head looked up to her with a grimace. He wasn't sure if he should tell her or not. He remembered Lilium like she had just left him the day before, but it had been ages ago. Crono looked back to his books when he began talking. "I had only one pet and that was ages ago. I'm not sure what you were consider it. I loved her, but we weren't sleeping together. Our relationship was sweet and rather innocent," he explained quietly. Softly he turned the page in his book and sighed. He assumed she would want to know where the girl had gone. "She died a long time ago. But it wasn't at my hands. Poor Lilium went mad here, though I wouldn't blame her. She couldn't handle hearing the sounds of tortured souls or of snickering demons. She went mad and killed herself... her in my home," he finished his story. His golden eyes stayed focused on the words on the page trying not to think of Lilium, his golden little lily.

Maria looked at him a moment.
"That is a sad story. Almost as sad as my boyfriends story. See the only guy I ever loved he was killed. We were out walking one day and a group of soldiers showed up. They tried to rape me and when he went to stop them they slit his throat. They left him on the ground bleeding to death. They took me with them and kept me locked up for several months until I escaped. Thats why I live so far away from everything and everyone. I do not know who to trust anymore." |
The red head looked up at her as she told her story and he grimaced. "I trust no one and I love no one. I may sleep with someone, but it means nothing to me. I just do it because it is part of who I am. But I have yet to love again... and I am sorry for your loss it seems so tragic. You did nothing to deserve that," he said softly. Crono flipped pages in the book and tossed it aside as it held no useful information. He picked up another as he began looking threw the new books pages.

She frowned at him a moment.
"Well perhaps you will love someone again one day. You never know. The special person who will steal your heart could be somewere close by." She flipped through another book looking at the pictures. |
Crono raised his eyes at her and smiled slightly. "I suppose I could. Just, I know I will never love a demon. They're all to black, and though I suppose I am to an extent. But I would not be able to handle that in my while," he said softly mostly thinking out loud. The red head left the page of the one book open and scowled at it. Shrugging he set it off to the side and opened up another book. "I've found one so far that permits me to return to the human world, and of course if we were touching it would bring you along with me..." he said softly. Crono assumed the female did not want him to follow her again, so he was searching a way to just send her off.

"How would you get back home if you came with me to earth? Would there be a complication of sorts? I would hate for you to be stuck in a boring human world with no way back."
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. A male demon walked in with a grin. "Well Hello Crono. What have you been up to and who is the cute girl you have with you?" |
Crono smiled at her as she was concerned about a way back. He had been about to answer her when one of his friends came in. The red head looked up at his friend and smiled slightly. What terrible timing his friend had. "Hello there Dexus. I've been spending time with my new pet. This is Maria," he said softly. The red headed demon shifted so he was closer to the young woman.

He gave a slight chuckle and walked over to Maria.
"What a lovely pet she makes. I can see what you have in mind for her. I do hope this time you will take better care of this one. Personally i have no time for pets. To much work to do to worry about pleasures. A good old fashoined succubus works well when life gets to boring." He gave a chuckle and petted Maria on the head. Maria stared at this new demon with a frown. She did not want to be bothered with fending herself from him. When he petted her on the head like a dog she got mad and bit him as hard as possible on the hand. (hope you didnt mind the random character addition. I didnt want this rp to die off to early lol) |
At the sight of his friend he continued to watch him as he walked over towards Maria. "I'll do my best to not let any ropes lay around this time," he said quietly. Of course the whole situation still plagued his mind everyday. It was torture for him to think about. He watched as Dexus patted Maria on the head. When she bit him he snickered softly. "Oh my , I'm sorry Dexus. It looks like she still might need some training,"Crono said with a laugh. He squatted down by Maria and softly turned her face towards his . He shook a finger at her with a half smile. He had found it rather funny. "Now, now Maria, we don't do that to guests. Only annoying whores who come by to harass me. Remember?" he said softly smiling finding the whole thing comical. Standing up he patted Dexus on the shoulder. "I'm sorry my friend. Can I help clean that up for you at all," he offered gently.

Dexus laughed haughtily. "I find her quite amusing. Do let me buy her off of you Crono. I think she might be just stubborn and high strung enough to keep me entertained for a while. I have some free time on my hands. Not that she would last very long being a mortal but it might be a little fun." Maria growled when he mentioned buying her and she walked behind Crono hiding behind him and holding his hand in hers. She was not going to be some common slave. This was not going to happen. No way in hell. |
At his friend's question of buying her off of him he chuckled. Lightly he laced his fingers with her's and softly kissed the top of Maria's head. "I am very, sorry dear friend. I am rather attached already, and I plan on keeping her around for a very long time. Perhaps next time there is a market I can aid you in picking out a very good one. I have an eye for that kind of thing," he answered smiling. Of course Crono would not let his friend buy Maria off of him. He was rather protective of her and would prefer to keep her by his side. He also knew he needed to get her home.

Dexus smirked.
"Very well Crono. But It would be nice if you would at least loan her to me for a day. You do owe me after that favor I did for you not to long ago. Remeber with that succubus you accidentally punched and I pretended you were drunk." Maria frowned listening to them talk. How interesting. These two were like best friends or something like that. |
The red head grimaced at his friend and sighed. "Perhaps in the future my friend. I do recall my debt. I just picked her today and I don't want her to be away from me already... but that succubus did deserve it,"Crono answered with a laugh. Softly he ran his thumb over her hand. "Otherwise perhaps I will purchase your next pet. A gift form my debt. And for the other succubi I may punch," he said with a soft chuckle. Crono looked over his shoulder to Maria and smiled at her. She was so delicate he could never let Dexus have her. He was a bit rough and was concerned for her.

Dexus sighed.
"Fine I will leave you and your pet to get aquanted. Be nice to her for she looks like she may break pretty easily." Dexus laughed a bit as he exited the house. Maria frowned at Crono. "Are all your friends like that?" |
Crono nodded and smiled at him. "Thank you my friend. I will keep mind of your advice. Go find yourself a pretty succubus Dex. Have a good time," he said as his friend left. Then he looked toward Maria and felt his heart thrum. Lightly the red head shook his head. "No Dexus is just my best friend. My others... I guess I would not exactly call them good friends. Some are kind and some are vicious. Just a strange mix," he answered. Softly he pulled her into a hug. Then he quickly let go and looked toward his books. "Well I-uhm better get reading," he answered quickly. The red head sat on the floor and opened up another book to read over the pages.

She walked over to him and pulled the book out of his hand. She put it down on the table and then pulled him to his feet.
"I am not in any hurry you know. Perhaps I could see more of this world you live in. It really interests me." |
When she pulled the book from his hand he was surprised. Even more surprised when she tugged him to his feet. "Sure I can show you around, but perhaps you should wear a cloak? Cover you up a little," he suggested lightly. Crono was slightly concerned about trouble, but he knew that if he said she was his pet he shouldn't receive trouble. "Would you like to see the rest of my home?" he suggested.

She grinned. "I would love to. Thank you very much."
She gave him a hug out of happiness at the prospect. |
At the feeling of the hug he was rather shocked. Crono wrapped his arms around her as well and laid his head on top of her's. It lasted a brief moment then he let go. "Well let's tour the house and I will give you a cloak of your choice," he answered with a nod. Softly he took her hand in his and began leading her around the house. He showed her the kitchen, dinning room, den, and the upstairs. Upstairs there was a guest room, bedroom, and spare room. Then up a little unfoldable staircase was the attic. Opening the door to his bedroom he gestured to the closet. "The closet is right there, pick any cloak you like," he said softly.

She looked at him throughout the entire tour. She then looked at the cloaks. There were ones of every color. She chose a nice red one. She put it on with a smile. The material was comfortable and soft. She liked it.
"And while we are out perhaps some food?" |
The demon smiled when she slipped on the red cloak feeling it was fitting. "That one looks excellent on you," he said softly. Then as she asked about food he nodded. "Of course we can get food," he answered with a grin. Crono held out his hand for her to take so they could tour the outside world.
